Great food! Would eat here everyday if I could, lol
Its just very relaxing good food great value. Enjoy
This place is one of my top ten. Absolutely love the staff and the food is fantastic.
Cracker barrel has plenty of handicap spots located the closest to the door, ramset all ends of the building for easy wheelchair accessibility, and the employees will all hold the door anytime they seem to see a person in a wheelchair or otherwise that would benefit from someone holding the door etcetera. I don't work here but I absolutely love eating here. I definitely recommend this place to any and everybody looking for a good wholesome home cooked style meal
Good food! Friendly staff. Enjoyed brousing through the country store!
The menue has changed, but the quality of the food hasn't. I haven't been here for years. I'm glad I came back.
Nice little lunch with hubby... I love it when you can get breakfast and supper at the same time...kinda like taking a hot bath and a hot shower at the same time lol..pure bliss... #Mama'sPancakeBreakfast #RoastBeefDinner....and hubby had grilled catfish, turnip greens and Mac N cheese 🧀 but he gobbled it down so fast I couldn't get a pic...enjoy
Always been one of my favorite places. I've seen a change with some newer staff. We went before church let out so there wasn't a big rush, but they were prepared for one.
Service was exceptional. He came back to check on us several times to be sure we had everything we needed. Everyone there was pleasant. Although the place was busy, people were being seated, and orders were being taken in a timely manner. This is very refreshing. If you like sweet tea, try the Sugar Plum Tea. OMG! SO GOOD!
Every time I go, I'm welcomed by everyone. I last went and was seated with Samantha and she was just great and wonderful. She was so helpful and nice. She did a great job serving us and we will go back anytime and we HIGHLY recommend Samantha as your server.
I was seated quickly, my server was at my table within 5 minutes, & I had my tea with a requested bowl of lemon in another 10. My food was hot & cooked perfectly, and my $5.00 meal to go was delivered with my check.
I took my daughter to this location today 3/30/25 for lunch. We were greeted instantly and at a table within 10 mins. Our server Samantha was phenomenal we had our drinks fast and order was taken fast plus food arrived correct and hot. Taste was great. I noticed Samantha was managing a few tables at once yet never neglected any and keep in mind they were very BUSY.. highly recommend this location ask to be sat with Samantha definitely not her first time. We will be back.
Our waitress was great in large part we surmised because the kitchen was cranking out the food with speed and accuracy. And the coffee was HOT AND DELICIOUS! Thanks Giselle! You're a good worker and a nice person.
Staff is always nice! Really love going to their gift shop! They have really neat stuff especially for different holidays.
Server Santiago was great. There was 7 of us ladies. We had a wonderful experience. Food was AMAZING.
the waiters are sweet most of the time lol. sometimes they’re a bit slower than others but no complaints here. the food is usually amazing, sometimes not. just depends on when you go I guess. angel is super sweet, he usually works the counter. he always asks us how our food was, helps us with anything we need, and he’s just really nice. the only complaint I have with the food is why is it that two hours left you run out of food? that’s my only complaint ^^ everything else is good.
Always a great experience. Food was very good. I have read some articles saying they were re-designing some of the Cracker Barrel interiors. DON’T! We like it the way it is. My only suggestion would be in some way maybe de-clutter the gift area. It’s got a lot of stuff all cramped in spots making it hard to get through. Especially with little kids!
The restaurant was extremely busy, but the service was great! The food was the best I've eaten in a very long time. The lady that waited on me was very kind and helpful. I would give this place 10 stars if it would let me. I very highly recommend this place. Updated review as of 6/15/2024. The place is still one of my favorite places to dine in. Prices are not bad. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have an awesome gift shop with all kinds of very neat stuff.
A Delightful Taste of the Wild West Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a true gem that transports you back to the charming days of the Old West. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere envelops you with rustic decor and a friendly staff providing swift service. The food is simply delicious - hearty portions of classic American fare like chicken fried steak, country fried potatoes, and mouth-watering biscuits slathered in sawmill gravy. And the best part? Beverages are included with your meal, so you can enjoy a refreshing iced tea or coffee without any extra cost. But what really sets Cracker Barrel apart is the ambiance. The cozy dining room is filled with antique artifacts and memorabilia that transport you to the rugged days of the Wild West frontier. It's like stepping into an old country store from centuries past. Whether you're craving a big breakfast spread or a comforting supper, Cracker Barrel delivers an authentic taste of Americana that will have you coming back for more. Giddy up and mosey on over for a dining experience you won't soon forget!
we have not been to a Cracker Barrel In years decided to check this one out after all the publicity. Great comfort food, super nice staff. Everything was delicious and tasty.we will be back again.
Update 8/24/24 Came back, excellent food and service. And our waitress Shoya was attentive and super friendly! Had multiple tables to attend to, and didn’t skip a beat - no attitude, no rushing folks. I hope she stays a long while so I can see her again! Doubled her tip because a grumpy gentleman was giving her a hard time. Thank you again Miss Shoya! Keep doing your thing.
Food is always a comfort at Cracker Barrel. Todd ordered the new Campfire Chicken and it smelled delicious! He said it was wonderful, but be hungry! Too much for one person! Our waitress I think was Kerra, I hope I’m getting that right,😳 was such a tentative, sweet, and jolly on the spot! She was a welcoming sight after a long day of driving! She gave recommendations, and she was right about the campfire chicken! Cracker Barrel is so lucky to have her.
Huge shout out to my server Jeremy on the evening/ dinner shift. He was very attentive, took time to speak with me and offered fantastic recommendations! All in all applicants very pleasant experience. Give that man a raise!
Cracker Barrel is great place to get comfort food. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. So many different options to eat or drink. We've been to several different locations around the dfw metroplex. All were different experiences, nothing drastic to keep us from trying other locations. We actually went to 2 different ones this occasion. 1st was Benbrook to eat early dinner. Catfish plate and steak tips dinner were good. Meatloaf plate wasn't what I expected, so I changed to steak tips dinner. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes were not comfort food to be exact. I've had better at other places. As I stated we went to another one in north ft. Worth to get an item from the gift store. Benbrook didn't have the desired size we wanted. Every Cracker Barrel has a variety of gifts and snacks to purchase. The sales clerk at Benbrook store gladly called other locations to find our item. N. Ft. Worth clerk gladly held our item until we arrived to purchase. In conversation, we discovered Benbrook location just released a new menu that other locations don't have. So give them a try if you enjoy new experiences. Sometimes, it's just your lucky or unlucky day. St. Patrick's day is Sunday, wear your lucky green 🍀.
Cracker Barrel was delicious as usual. It was Friday night, so they were busy, but wait staff was friendly and attentive. 3 years later...the menu has changed a little, but most of the old favorites are still there. The store is still as fun to browse through as always. Tonight, I had the maple bacon chicken, and hubby had the sampler with meatloaf and Sunday chicken. Yum. I didn't get a picture, but we also tried the cheese bites and the biscuit beignets. Both were delicious. The beignets are more like biscuit donuts my mom used to make, but still VERY good, and the butter pecan sauce served with them is AMAZING.
It was very very busy, we had to wait about 20 minutes. Did some shopping, lots of unusual, neat things. The service was great, food took awhile, but it was steaming hot and wonderful, worth the wait.
Ordered brunch for pick-up. Food was well prepared and packed. It was ready 15 minutes before the promised time, so I was glad to be early. A text announcing that it was ready would have been nice. No option in online ordering to substitute cornbread for biscuits. Only 1 syrup, even though I always get 2 when dining in.
I made about 4 visits to Cracker Barrel in December. All were just to their store. I didn't eat in the restaurant. The Bowen location in Arlington, TX location has the best Retail Manager (I think that's what she told me). She's friendly, greets you at the door, and even called their other locations when I wanted a specific item. I was able to pick up the wanted items in Benbrook, TX where they held them for me.
Country Fried Turkey Dinner is now available and oh man is it good! We don't have any Cracker Barrel restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area where I live. So anytime I visit my daughter here in Benbrook, Texas we make a point of having a meal here. Apparently, today was the very first day for the Country Fried Turkey Dinner ($12.49) and we decided to try it and we're not disappointed in any way! That turkey was moist and delicious and crunchy! Covered in some country gravy with a cranberry sauce served on the side. We like it on top of the whole thing so you get a little bit of all the taste together. Total winner 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 We also ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken lunch /dinner ($12.99). Super yummy. Served with two sides, I got Mac and Cheese and the Hash Brown Casserole Tots from the premium side so they cost me an extra $1.99. Golf ball sized balls of mashed potatoes with cheese, sour cream and maybe a touch of chive all rolled, batter dipped and deep fried. No regrets, they were totally worth the extra money. After we were done eating we packed up two full leftover boxes, we're going to get a couple more meals out of those servings 😂. Paid by QR code straight from the table using my phone. This is something that hasn't seem to catch on in the Bay Area, but I would very much like it if it did! A big part of Cracker Barrel seems to be their gift shop and for good reason, it's awesome! They're ready for Christmas and have some of the neatest decorations and other Christmas gifts available. If I lived here, everybody in my family would be getting something from Cracker Barrel for Christmas and they'd love it! As it is, I made some purchases to take back with me. Great for those travel gifts for people who are difficult to find something for. I have included photos of many of the things that caught my eye. Lord knows I love some sparkle! As for the service, it was excellent. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt in taking our order. And visited the table several times with pictures to refill drinks if necessary. Very sweet! For the restaurant ambiance I gave them four stars because it's difficult to be perfect. When there is a crowd, it can be a little loud. Not the restaurants fault in any way. If their food wasn't so dang good, it would have been much less crowded at 11:00 on a Tuesday morning. 🤣 Thank you Cracker Barrel for another delicious meal. Even though I don't live here, I have joined your rewards program so I have good reason to come back! 💜
The service overall was a 10/10 the lady was very respectful and very attentive. Food was good tried something simple and it was yummy. For the atmosphere I love it very calm and enjoyable.
Went to eat brunch and blood sugar got low while waiting for a table. The hostess AIDA went to get a chair for me to sit down and a cup of orange juice to raise my blood sugar while waiting. When we got seated, the manager came by table to check on how I was feeling and if I needed anything else. The entire experience was great and I will continue to be a patron of this location. My most sensere gratitude to them for caring for me.
UPDATED: Amy, the District Manager, came by and greeted us. She was very kind. We had a great waitress, Aileen, who took care of us, too. She didn’t mind the pic, but you should ask for her when you come here to eat. Nice, clean restaurant. Seated quickly on a busy day. Friendly waitstaff. The rest of the staff seemed to work together as a team—sign of good management. Pleasant experience.
Bobbie Dunn has made my experience at this location beyond pleasant! The food is hot! The drinks are cold! She speaks and greets me every time I walk through the door. I make it a consistent effort to visit this location because of her and the friendly staff!!

Ordered a take out deal from the New Spring menu…Blueberry or Chocolate Chip pancakes…$5. Includes eggs of your choice and breakfast sausage or bacon. All packaged individually. A lot of food for $5! I had to include a half gallon of the Strawberry Lemonade…delicious.
Large party and we had to wait for our food. Not all orders were good. And some were incorrect.
I had a great experience with the cashier Astrid. She was helpful in me ordering my food to go and many suggestions. I also purchased items from the gift shop and she called the manager to see if they were on sale. She even looked up my points and told me I had a $5 coupon and said it would be beneficial for me to use it. Because it was expiring soon. She was very knowledgeable and made my time enjoyable. Great front line employee. Most do not know that a frontline employee can make or break a business and she was extremely efficient and exceptional.
Love Cracker Barrel! This location has great food, friendly service, nice ambience and lots of parking. The only negative is the service is a little slow, but given the shortage in staff it wasn't that bad. I love their store, they have such cool, fun stuff. Totally recommend visiting the place.
This place is known for its comfort food and rightly so! Even though I grew up in a different culture so what I considered comfort food wasn't on this menu, you just can't help feeling like you are at someone's grandma's house getting the best meal she's got to offer. They offer beer and wine now, so grandma is getting with the times. Sometimes, depending on what you get the food can be hit or miss, but it is usually more a hit. I had a hamburger steak with hash brown casserole and green beans. You have to get it with the onions and brown gravy! It just makes great even better! I have to have the hash brown casserole every time I come here too. My wife must have the chicken and dumplings every time too. She says theirs are just as good as what her Southern grandma used to make!
A 30 min wait turned into an hour but our host, Doreen, was an absolutely delight. Even masked you could tell she was smiling! Sheila was our server and was a joy! Very prompt with everything. And she never let Mom run out of coffee!! Food wasn't great but it was good. After the long wait I was really hungry and just slightly disappointed. I've eaten here a lot a few years ago and noticed a difference in the seasoning. For instance, the hash brown casserole tasted the same as the mashed potatoes. And for the price... could have been much better...$30.00 for Mom and I.
Notice that there are two Crispy chicken tender meals listed but different prices! Same meal! When asked about the price difference we were told the higher price was the one that would be charged! Waitress was nice and offered to get the manager! I hope a corporation would have better QC before printing them!
So I've been hearing about their thanksgiving meal for years and had a chance to try it today. Earlier in the day I had Boston Markets thanksgiving meal and was dissapointed with how salty the food was. This meal at Cracker Barrel near Benbrook was way better. And for the price I felt that I got more. Turkey with gravy, sweet potato, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn bread/biscuit, pie, and refillable drinks. For $18. I was so full afterwards. Service had a few minor hiccups but it was because they were busy and were running low on some items. But overall our waitress did well. I would definately do this again next year.
When got the hamburger steak with sides. It was good. The waitress asked if we wanted gravy and onions on top. We said no onions but got them anyway. We said yes to gravy because I thought burger steak always comes with gravy! Little did we know the gravy was a $1. Extra charge for each of us. Also there drinks are over priced at almost $4./drink! But our waitress was good, Dawn. But we still love this restaurant.
Good plentiful food, pretty good daily specials, I tried the Saturday Nashville spicy fried chicken and liked it allot. Wait staff missed bringing some utensils but it was busy. Plating was kind of slap dash but we had fun.
Always enjoy going to Cracker Barrel! I tend to get the breakfast because that's what I like best, but their dinners are also very good. I just love the old timey atmosphere! Thankful they didn't go woke and stayed with what made them so popular!!

We enjoyed the ambiance and decor of this casual restaurant. The food was tasty and the service good. I have also enjoyed the country store, where there are always great finds.

The quality of the food seems to have deteriorated - especially during the pandemic. Like many other restaurants operating in the midst of the plague, Cracker Barrel is now offering a limited menu. Simultaneously, not related to the pandemic I'm told, they have eliminated the tastiest item on the menu - their steel cut oatmeal with apples & berries. In recent years, the oatmeal has been the primary reason I've decided to go. For most people, Cracker Barrel is a good choice if you hungry for down home cooking. If for no other reason, the impossible to bypass gift shop is worth a visit!
Food did not have the southern flavor I was hoping for but service was outstanding and atmosphere was good also had a reality neat sovereign shop with a lot of nice things people where outstanding and very friendly staff also price was reasonable. Overall enjoyable would probably make for a good Sunday after services dine in.
I'm a bit disappointed in my experience yesterday. The catfish was hot & fresh, but the sides were lukewarm at best. The new Broccoli Cheese was served in a small bowl, with the broccoli being a big 'tree', not florets. Definitely not worth the upcharge. Kudos to Barbara, my server, who I overheard her tell the next table that it was her first day. Her service was great, I just hope the kitchen comes back up to their usual excellence.
Went here after church 25 May 2025 at 1:35 pm. and got seated right away. The menu has changed a lot , years ago, they didn't serve alcoholic drinks. Edit: I had the chicken and dumplings...well, it wasn't chicken and dumplings, I don't know what it was. But more like clumped up cornstarch and flour that had no taste. Chicken..lol...3 pieces of chicken, but I complained to our waitress, and the manager came out and said they cook 5 pieces of chicken tenders (boiled and no taste). Overall, the food I ordered was below average. The times I have been to crackle barrel has always been positive, but not this time
We go every now & then . Please please check your take out bag for all your order . The menu has drastically changed but my husband and I found other choices that were ok
I've been to this location a couple of times. Great food. I usually get chicken fried chicken. Got something different today, the chicken dumplings. It was yummy.... brought the leftovers home. Was eating it for dinner. I was chewing on pieces that I thought were part of the chicken and took it out of my mouth....I pulled it apart, and it was freaking plastic. I almost swallowed this thing..
the food was horrible, it was cold and we waited a long time for it to arrive , i was excited to get a fruit cobbler after but knowing that it would arrive late, we just took the check and paid. This place is far from where i live just happened to drive by there. Will I drive just for the food there? Ofcourse not, just a one time place :)
We went on mother's day and knew it would be busy but I've never experienced cracker barrel being unorganized and overwhelmed before this time. We were there at 9am and though busy they were saying immediately and there was room to spare, until we got there. 20 minutes after we sat we finally saw our server. We ordered our drinks and food all together and began to wait again. Almost 30 minutes later our drinks arrived. No apologies or reasoning. Another 30 minutes later our food arrived. The table behind us should have been served first so with our food in hand the server went to their table and apologized that it wasn't their food but that they'd get theirs soon. Our food was finally out down and the server left to help the other table get their food. We had to flag our server down and all for napkins and the remainder of our meal as two items were missed. This would probably have been mostly forgotten if the food had been at least hot but it wasn't. The pancakes were fried and crispy which was strange and no one enjoyed them. The eggs were all hard from having sat in heat fire a good while and all of the meats were over cooked and harder because they were cold. The only thing warm was the coffee which was poured into the table from over two feet above splashing all over is and our food. Even though we, and the table behind us, told our server that the food was all cold and not great we were all sent on our way without even an apology. Very disappointing and not the best way to start mother's day.
Carlos our servers was very attentive to us keeping our drinks refill constantly everything was perfect on the table. But as you can see the chicken fry steak didn't come with my brown gravy and was kind of overcooked doesn't compare to my last year's chicken fried steak. The reason I gave it to three stars it's because I ordered a 2-piece fish dinner to go and and when I got home it only had one piece of fish.
Noooo way that Tonight is the Worse ever, in Food, Service and Atmosphere. Like Geez the scrambled eggs were flat like whoever Cooked them worked at McDonalds. Then the Waitress looked Scared to even Serve the Table. The Oreo pancake thing were Burnt and my French toast. My Gsons Burger had 10 fries. What Happened to this Place. Never again Ugh and I love Shopping here too. My ticket went from $102 to $182. So I love shopping here
The Grits were watery and the gravy cool . The service was fine I won’t come back to this Cracker Barrel. I’m not sure why there’s a limit here on 100 words but whatever.

Been years since I have eaten at Cracker Barrel and use to be my favorite. It is not the same all and the food has gone downhill. I will not be back.
We went on Thanksgiving day and took some great pictures. We had a server that we saw twice through our entire meal that neglected to bring half of our meal and then decided to make up excuses when we pointed it out and still never got the stuff that we ordered from our server. However, one of the managers was fantastic and helped as much as she could. Needless to say, for the first time in my life, the server did not get a tip, but the manager got a gift card from us because you can not tip managers. Shopping was good, and the check out lady was great also.
Shrimp and Grits were grainy and runny. Fish was ok but not great. Food was not plated well. Table next to us had their sides plated in bowls, ours was running into each other. Server forgot some of our order and did not offer refills. Overall, an ok experience but not great. Weatherford location seems to be more consistent on their food quality. The company, likely A1 responded and link doesn't work. So down 1 more star because you don't really want to turn this around. No more Cracker Barrel!
I Love pancakes! (Update) 03/05/2023 My family and me love to have breakfast here, we love the pancakes but the last few times we have been here they don't prepare them the same way the pancakes are cooked on one side and on the other side they are raw, they are not enjoyed the same as before, their flavor is no longer is the same as before
First let me say the flavor of the food was awesome. I had the pot-pie and wife had the catfish. The issue was service & quantity: 1- I had drank most (3/4) of my "Arnold Palmer" prior to the meal being served. and was never offered a refill, not even after I set my empty glass at the edge of the table. Then I finished the wife's drink and placed it there. Our ticket was placed in between the two classes. 2- we were served biscuits and cornbread with no butter, when we asked for butter it took most of the meal before we received it. 3- Wife's mashed potatoes was plentiful with a smidge of gravy on top. It had no little pit of gravy in the potatoes (more gravy, please). 4- My pot pie was less than a half inch thick and the bowl was more than an inch deep. The pastry top equaled to more than the filling did. ============= I am not one to send food back or complain in the restaurant, that is not fair to other patrons, I don't want to create issues in front of them. We ate and moved on. We have eaten at this Cracker Barrel many times and this was the worst time. We will be back because we believe everyone has a bad day here and there. But please Cracker Barrel hear the request to get some training out for service and food quality/quantity. and by the way, where are the hush puppies...
I was on a mission for chocolate cake. Normally, I’m not a huge Cracker Barrel fan, but I do love their Coca-Cola cake. So I thought, why not? I went in, ready to treat myself. This was my third time going to this particular location for that cake. This was also the third time… they didn’t have it. Now, could this be divine intervention telling me my thighs and butt don’t need the extra calories? Quite possibly. Or is it bad planning by whoever does their ordering? I’ll let you decide. Either way, there was no chance of this visit ending on a sweet note—so service could’ve been perfect, but without the cake, it didn’t matter.
What the heck even is this?? I ALWAYS order the French Grandma's Sampler French Toast Breakfast and it NEVER looks like this. Everything was cold, the toast was shrunken and tiny, the pieces of trench toast didn't even align so we're they even the same piece or bread?? My friend got the cheese White Cheddar Cheese Bites and they were so cold they were hard! Very upset about this delivery because it cost me almost $50 for absolutely nothing!! 😡😡
The fried chicken was just okay. It was very crispy but could have had more flavor. The macaroni and cheese was the best thing on the plate. It was creamy and very flavorful and not over cooked. The broccoli was also pretty good; not mushy but just the right crunch. I will skip on the peach cobbler next time because it tasted factory made. This order was a to-go order along with 2 others in my party. My daughter ordered the fried turkey online but when she went in to get her order the attendant told her they didn't have it and just walked away. She did not offer any alternatives and I really wish I knew her name. Needless to say, my daughter just had to walk away without any further assistance. This was my very first visit.😔
Food took more than 30 minutes to get to the table. We were a party of 4 and the place wasn't busy. 3 meals came out, but my salad took another few minutes to show up. Cheap bottled ranch dressing and the food in general wasn't that good. Best thing we're the biscuits and the cornbread. Storefront has some cute little decorations, but we won't be back for the food. Glorified cafeteria food at best.
We ate t what?here on Saturday June 28. There were 5 of us. None of our meals were brought out correctly. We were not served bread even after asking for it. The okra was over fried, the hash brown casserole was dry, not good, but the topper was, there was no gravy for the chicken fried steak nor the chicken. We were told it would be at least 25 minutes until gravy was ready. What!!!??? I can whip gravy up in 5 minutes. No one seemed to care. Worst meal we have had in a very long time. Probably won’t be visiting again. This was 1:00 on Saturday. No reason to be out of a staple like gravy or bread.😖
I wasn't going to write a review on our experience 2 Saturdays ago, meant our daugther and her boyfriend to eat breakfast, we checked in online before we arrived, when we arrived, we checked with the hostess, told us it would be a 30 minute wait, an hour and 10 minuets later we were seated, placed our orders, food that came out wasn't ours, it was someone else's, 30 minutes later our food came out, our orders were wrong, things were left off, people were scrambling to get our order right, we wer finishing up what we were served, the food that was missing, never came, and still charged us full price, what was suprising to me, was the line of people on the front porch and the gift shop waiting to be seated, when we went to our table, the dining areas wer half empty, we counted 12 tables around us that were vacant, and at least 100 people waiting outside,'WE WILL NEVER BE BACK" we have been coming here for 20 plus years But today, we find out that CB is going (woke=weak) You have lost our business and all of our followers on our social media groups We use to plan our get togethers with family and friends over the years BUT NO MORE TRUMP<please save us GOD BLESS THE USA
The food was disgusting and cold, the waitress didn't even bring our biscuits out until after the food was already out and they were cold and stale, the manager came by every five minutes and would not take a hint that we just wanted to try and enjoy our meal. Not coming here again, it's really gone downhill
Worst experience to date. I have been to CB many times and to this specific location many times. Never have I been made to sit and wait 20 minutes to even be greeted no matter how busy it was. And it was not busy today. No one took our drink orders, no one stopped to ask if we had been greeted yet, we were just invisible. The table next to us ordered their food as we were sat and got their food and still no one had come by. We saw three other tables get sat and greeted and we were still sitting there. We decided to just leave since we were being ignored. As we left, one little waiter boy who had walked past our empty table at least 3 times said, "Have a nice day." No customer service at all. I hate being a Karen about this but as someone who has worked in the service industry and has a husband that has been a restaurant manager before, this bugged the Hell out of us. Y’all gotta train the staff better. That was just pitiful.
We ordered food for pick up and it was all cold and nasty and tasted like it was very old and dirty. There was dirt on the food. This has to be the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. The fact that the health department hasn’t shut them down is a miracle. And on top of all of that, they were extremely rude to me when I was picking up my order if they were to eat the food that they were giving people that are paying for it, they would be mad. It’s not only wrong and disgusting but they could seriously get people sick by serving this nasty old cold, hotspots here and there rancid food. My husband who will eat anything didnt eat his food that’s how bad it was.
We came because my wife wanted breakfast and said in the past, cracker barrel had good breakfast. What a mistake. We both regretted that decision. Every single step of the way our experience couldn't have been worse. From trying to get in line and having to download an app that refuses to work to actually check in, to the service and the food. The breakfast items on the menu they provide you mention they come with "breakfast" sides. But those do not exist anywhere on the menu. So I just asked for my meal with regular sides, (assuming they must be the same since there aren't any breakfast sides listed anywhere). My wife finally found them online later. But we were given actual menus that are apparently incomplete. Our server later came back explaining that I could not get the meal I wanted with regular sides, that I had to choose a specific breakfast side. I explained to her that those did not exist in the menu. After some really awkward back and forth, she said I could get those sides I wanted if I switched to the new York strip and eggs meal instead. I gave up and just compromised and said sure. She forgot to ask how I wanted that steak cooked, and since I originally wasn't ordering steak, I didn't think about it either. Instead of coming back and asking me, I guess she (or the cook, who really knows) just decided to make an executive decision. And they couldn't have been more wrong. I WOULD have ordered medium rare or even rare. But wasn't given a choice. This poor thing came completely charred to bits. It was leather.... This should be an actual crime. What blasphemy. My scrambled eggs w/cheese came watery, and the cheese was just a piece of sandwich cheese slapped on top at the last minute barely halfway melted. The server DID offer to have it fixed, but I was already over it. They were bad, no flavor, and horrible texture. My French toast was bland and also had a horrible texture. Looked pretty pathetic too. Our appetizer (hashbrown tots) were super greasy and not even the slightest bit crispy, just soggy. My wife's pancakes were very "meh" at best. Her ham was really dry and hard. She also got the hashbrown casserole and it was pretty bad as well. Not kidding when I say this is the worst breakfast I've ever had. By a mile. Cracker barrel can do better, this was truly shameful from beginning to end. They were busy as it was lunch hour and total chaos. But still guys, not one thing was done right that I can think of.
We arrived on Mother’s Day at 7am. Right when they unlock the doors so we could beat the rush and enjoy time with our family. We had 16 people, it was only us and one other two top in the whole building along with 10-15 team members. Why would they not allow us to sit at one big table? The whole restaurant is tables, you can move them anywhere you want. What’s the point if you don’t care enough to try to accommodate the guest on Mother’s Day? Our family broke up on two tables divided by the main walkway. Please remember we choose your restaurant on our mom’s special day, we will not make that mistake again. If you have the option to make guest happy why would you not? Do better
Very bad experience, the order was totally wrong I had to request having it made right. The mashed potatoes were hard and dry, the found had a freeze taste. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation and he really didn’t care about the situation. The young lady at the register said to me that no one pays attention to the issues the store has. We will never come back!!!!
Well we placed our order a gentleman was refilling teas and he spilt the tea on me. My ham was dried out. My partner order pancakes they came out with no whip cream on them No syrup. Brought me butter bacon. Just a horrible situation to start our day off. I would expect a little more training for staff and cooks
Very disappointing this visit. The hostess was pre-occupied with talking to someone else while seating us. We thought she was talking to us only to find out she had a ear bob going 90 to nothing. We were up-charged on 3 items without one word being spoken by the waiter about it. $2.49 extra just for asking for a bit of cheese on something. And asking for Hash-browns instead of casserole. The chicken fried steak was different too. A fork cut it easily as if just hamburger meat or something. Not cube or round steak as normally it would be. Scrambled Eggs were not scrambled. More like pan mixed. Everything at check out was asking for more money for this or that. Prices are too high. I understand remodeling is coming. I think we are history as far as Cracker Barrel goes. $31 for a simple breakfast that should have been $18 or so. Too bad
Service was just okay. Went for breakfast. Got the Old Timer breakfast with the hash brown casserole. When my plate came the casserole was OBVIOUSLY burnt. Not only did it make it out of the kitchen but the food server had to have seen it too and did nothing about it. Also I was told that biscuits were not available at that time and that I would have them in 5 minutes. Well I never received them.
Benbrooki, Texas Biscuits raw on bottom. Cornbread dry. Meat loaf not as good as it used to be. Took a long time to get food. 😞 Disappointed. They were out of chocolate sticks. Waiter nice but food preperaction slow. Upper management needs to check out this location. There were very few people in restaurant.
This was the worst service I have ever had. Who cares what the food tastes like. Don’t waste your money. Don’t waste your time complaining to the store. I spent $220 on dinner and was “given” a gift certificate for $20. After the terrible service and night- they had no toilet paper in their bathroom. Go figure. Dang!!
I went to eat ay cracker barrel tonight. Asked for Turkey and Dressing and asked for The Gray beauty put on the side. She said we don't do that here. It's already mixed in, I mean. I ordered this online all the time and I get it at my home with no gravy on it. It's always on the side, but today at the store. I'm not allowed to have gravy. Put on the side and then when I ask to speak to my manager, they tell me they're too busy to talk to me. I cannot believe the customer service in this store. That no one can spare a moment to explain to me why I can't get my gravy on the side. So therefore I will never eat here and I am not eating tonight because I can't get any help. Or reason why I can't have gravy on the side. So for this reason, I'm saying yall have the worst customer service. I've ever seen in my life. I've never in my life. Had someone tell me that a manager was too busy to talk to a customer that was upset. So seriously. I just can't believe it. I'm in shock so I'm sitting at this table with no food. And my husband's trying to enjoy his dinner. But it's kinda hard when his wife can't eat because no one will help her.
Hostess looked like I spit on her birthday cake. She didn’t smile, or welcome us, if anything me standing in front of her, looked like I insulted her. Idk if it was a bad day, but she definitely was not okay. Be careful what you look like, is all I gotta say on that one, coming here. Last straw was looking at my table waiting for my food, and if you see what’s missing you know. -I’m not okay.
I decided to take the family out to dinner and it was less than spectacular. The server was a young man who did a decent job. He could have done better and it wasn’t that busy. He came to the table a few times to refill drinks. We consumed all the biscuits, but he never asked if we wanted anymore. Once we got our food the fried chicken and anything chicken related, the chicken appeared very dark as if the grease used to cook it needed to be changed. The dumplings were tasteless and water downed. My wife didn’t get her food with the rest of us. Overall the experience wasn’t good.
My family was there Saturday afternoon on 11/29/2025. I normally love Cracker Barrel. I have the reward app and everything; however, after our last visit I don't think we will be back. We were sat, server came by to get our drink order. She seemed very nice. The latte was bitter, my daughter's order came out without the sauce (Nashville hot chicken) and they didn't tell us that what she chose was unavailable. My husband was missing a side dish. The French toast was chewy and tasted stale. The biscuits for the gravy where so dry! The server didn't come back to check on us, drink refills were not offered. When we left over half of what was ordered on the way table, there wasn't any questions about how the food was or if we would like refill. My husband went to speak to the manager - and it was an eye opener on how things are running these days. Basically after my husband told him of the experience the response we get is that "Thanksgiving was yesterday - no inventory available" the Friday - Sunday after Thanksgiving is normally when tons of people are eating out because they are shopping for Christmas. Even if there was low inventory, we were not offered the chance to change the order and the food received was horrid. This is also not the first time of all the issues. The lack of customer care was an issue. I do not recommend this location at all.
An updated most recent visit, he had a not so great experience. I believe we had a newer waitress and they've must of had new cooks as well. Well, we're a party of 5. We all ordered and had to repeat our order a few times. When our order came out all at different times. The orders were All missing something. My husband's order was missing an egg, and the biscuits with gravy never arrived 😕. My eggs had shells in them. Never got drink refills, we had to bother another waitress for refills. Finally, the girl looked like she didn't like us and sent in her manager. I explained our experience so far, so he brought the food that was missing, but no apologies, no discount, no nothing... I explained my experience at the counter when we were checking out and the cashier asked would you like to talk to a manager, I mentioned a manager is the one that finished taking care of us but never even apologized or offered a discount. We usually love this place. It will probably be a minute if we ever come back, or at least at this location.
The only reason this is getting a star is because I have to give them one to place my comment. The young waiter tried her best but when receiving the food it was cold, just very little hash browns and the pancakes looked and felt cold. I know times are tough but damn get it together Cracker Barrel!! I will not set foot in a Cracker Barrel again!! 🥲🤮
