Great little truck stop. BBQ was really good. They made us fresh fried okra and it was spot on!! The small old brick building across the street has an empty lot behind it, the clerk told us that we could park there overnight anytime.
Two words, POTATO SALAD! I had zero expectations when I walked in, saw the line for the deli and thought, Why not? I asked for a turkey sandwich on sourdough, the sweet lady behind the counter, asked if I’d had the jalapeño sourdough. So, sure, why not? I asked if the potato salad was any good and she said if they had any left?!?! I took my food to go. Let me tell ya’ the bread was out of this world, but my first spoon of potato salad was an out of body experience! I don’t know how much sugar, mayonnaise, and mustard it takes to make this masterpiece, but I’m going back for more! Also, It’s a gas station, what kind of atmosphere do you want?

BBQ Sandwiches were tasty and the cost was good. There really is nothing for miles otherwise. The staff is blunt and direct but not rude like other reviews mentioned. Highly recommend.
On a car trip back from Lubbock I needed some lunch. Badland's BBQ did the job. They have a variety of sandwiches and sides available, the fried okra is pretty good. I was also able to find Strawberry Cream Dr Pepper, which I haven't seen in every gas station mini market. I got back on the road recharged and refreshed.
I drive a semi-truck and stopped here for a quick lunch break on the way to OK. The place was busy, everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, service was quick, and the food is excellent. I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich for $4.50. I’ll definitely be back when I’m on this route.
My husband and I stopped here for some food on our way home. I ordered the smoked ham with pepperjack on a jalapeño cheddar bun, and my husband had the chopped bbq brisket on a jalapeño cheddar bun and we both loved it. The place was packed, and the service was great.
Very impressed with this place! They served up an awesome bbq salad & gourmet sandwich with affordable prices & great service. It was an unexpected delight that if highly recommend.

Cute little store, bathrooms would’ve made this a 5 star if they were clean

There was room enough to park our motorcoach and tow out back, so we decided to stop here for lunch because we hadn’t seen an eatery of any kind in 50+ miles and the next town is 33 more miles down the road. Much of the food is just what you’d expect at a truck stop (fried deli-case selection) but the sandwiches are made to order. We bought a “chopped beef, with BBQ sauce, pickles and onions on a jalapeño sourdough Ciabatta style roll”. The bread was fresh and the jalapeño flavor was mild but not hot. The beef was moist and the BBQ sauce tasty. Be sure to order the BBQ sauce or your favorite condiments - the sandwich will be served dry if you don’t. The staff was friendly and attentive. Unexpectedly, if you walk down the hall past the restrooms, you’ll find a small indoor dining area. We would not hesitate to stop here again if we come through here at lunchtime.

Stopped here after failing to grab a bite to eat in Lubbock, not realizing this is the 1st place to eat after over an hour and a half of driving (traveling back to the North TX area). Lesson learned. The bbq sandwiches held a decent amount of meat but it wasn't the greatest. Meat kind of had a weird texture and the sauce just soaked thru the bun. We also tried the potato salad which was ok if you prefer the big chunk style potato salad. Not my preference though. They also offered cold sandwiches which none of us tried. You can also get okra, popcorn chicken and fried burritos. The okra was decent, the chicken was what you'd expect from a bag of Tyson and the burritos were probably the best thing they had. It's inside Ranchland gas station so you can also grab chips and drinks as well. Not the best experience but when you're hungry, it suffices.
Stopped for potty and gas. The male at the register clearly didn't want to be there. I was in good spirits and being goofy and he wanted none of it. I wasn't sure the number pump I was at, and pointed at my van (one of 2 vehicles at pumps) while saying idk what # pump that is. He drolly replied, I can't see which pump you mean...... normally my experience here is great. Maybe be was having a bad day idk.
Would have been five stars If I hadn't watched the employee microwave my bbq meat in a styrofoam cup. Styrofoam is not safe to microwave at all and will leach chemicals into the food. Super disappointed. Microwaving bbq meat is also a sin. It was a nice and safe gas station to stop at.

Never got to order. Too slow so I just left.
For a Texas pit stop a little hospitality would be nice. They should understand that a lot of people are passing through after long hours on the road, all we need is a “hey hun how can I help ya”. Went in to order food- walked out without ordering anything after lack of service, standing around while a few employees were just walking around instead of helping me, the only person in line….. I guess they aren’t in need of money like most businesses! Dairy Queen here we come!

This is not a restaurant. Stopped here because nothing over the past hour of driving. Pretty much the only option. Bbq has no flavor they even microwaved it.

I usually don't rate and review on things. I was having a great day until I stopped at this place, the young man behind the counter with glasses have me a attitude for no reason and all I wanted is to order food, not professional at all and I worked in retail for nine years, I could never treat a stranger customer like that, I hope the owner sees this and try to inform this clerk for the sake of his business
Food was okay. The two sisters that work there are not friendly. They make the food. Rolled their eyes at our large order. We’re rude to their co-workers. Their mother is apparently the manager and is equally unfriendly. We were passing through town and stopped. Didn’t plan on eating to “call ahead”
The bbq was not so good. The staff was rude. I stop in here often when I'm working but never had a chance to try bbq. Today had the brisket sandwich and my brother had the pull pork my wife had the bologna sandwich. Only one was delicious the bologna sandwich. The bbq well it was dry and no flavor. Had to get a second pulled pork because the first was pork jerky it was left under the heat lamp to long when taken to show staff they were rude as rude could be. I'll still stop but not for food. My first and last for food unless my wife wants a bologna sandwich when we go to visit my friends in Seymour.
Keep driving. Probably the worst brisket sandwich I have ever had. I trashed it. Fries were fresh and good.
If its buzy drive on by. If you do stop and the old guy and rude old lady is working walk out. 20 people lined up and he just ignores you and she wants to answer the phone. Not a good place at least with them in there.
