I really enjoyed visiting this restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Bergamo (although only about a 10 minute walk from centre). The food was great. The welcome friendly and a nice buzzy atmosphere. Interesting design wise and definitely worth revisiting.

What a hidden gem! This wine bar was amazing and exceeded all expectations - wine, food, and vibes. We each got 2 glasses of wine for pre dinner drinks and some cured meats. Delicious. Would love to eat dinner here next time. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Must visit if you love wine.

Outstanding service and an overall fantastic experience. I came to the restaurant a little too late to enjoy the food, however the kitchen prepared a set of snack and cheese for me to go with my wine. The staff was excellent and my waiter took the time to ask me about the kind of wine I like and what I am looking for. He opened a bottle of a very nice Cuoredivino 2018 which I really enjoyed. The music was charming as well. I highly recommend this place for a social meeting, romantic date or simply just to sit down and enjoy a beautiful glass of vino. Absolutely flawless experience.

Great restaurant located in Bergamo! The place is well-finished with a large collection of wines and modern paintings. The waiters are professional and well prepared. Moreover, both the ingredients and the cuisine are refined. All the flavours are valorised and food plating is in line with Michelin-starred restaurants. I really appreciated the pigeon, one of the most tricky meats, as well as the fish appetiser. Special experience!!! Strongly suggest!

This was a great discovery because the area is not fancy or touristic at all, but we've got the best restaurant experience so far. They have a huge choice of wine, and I enjoyed every course of dishes, so a cuisine gets the highest point. The staff is so lovely and attentive. I absolutely love it!

Ristorante molto curato, business lunch a prezzi contenuti (15/17€). Cibo buono, servizio di sala nella media (forse c’è poca comunicazione tra i vari addetti). Nel complesso un luogo che consiglio anche per un pranzo veloce.

Al Carroponte la lista vini è davvero enciclopedica. Oscar il padrone di casa è super appassionato di vini e fa del suo locale un vero e proprio tempio dell’enologia. Perfino il Dio Bacco potrebbe esserne invidioso. Complimenti!! Cucina moderna, con piatti ricercati e ben curati, alcuni molto piacevoli altri con qualche imperfezione ma la materia prima di ottima qualità si fa notare in ogni piatto. A completare il menù una notevole lista di finger foods. Gli appassionati di caviale potranno trovare in lista molti piatti interessanti. Ogni appassionato di vino dovrebbe passare a trovare Oscar.

Ottimo ristorante, la cucina lavora molto bene e i risultati nel piatto ne sono la prova. Il servizio è impeccabile e l’attenzione verso il cliente mette a proprio agio appena si entra nel locale. Carta vini molto ampia in particolare etichette Francesi. Sicuramente da provare.

Relaxed anf fun, wine focused restaurant. Odd location in between lots of apartments but once you are inside you notice the stacks of wine bottles lining every wall and corner. We sat inside on a hot summer day (A/C was not strong enough). My family started off with the finger food apps (chicken wings, fried pizza, shrimp sandwich were all excellent. I would pass on the mini burgers. The seafood Emotions platter was very fresh fish and shrimps. For pasta we had spaghetti with shrimp (a bit bland), pork ragu (better) and bergamo casoncelli (amazing). For mains we had octopus (dish was just warm when it arrived and it wasn’t busy tonight, celeriac was too tough to chew), pigeon and pork dishes were both a bit dry, tuna with peppers was very disappointing and bland completely lacking flavour or sauce. For dessert we had cheesecake and torta (both good but not cold enough) and creama catalana (too plain). They even offered us additional desserts (whipped white chocolate, carrot cake and chocolate cake bites). For wines we tried 2 different glasses of italian whites and 1 glass of red based on our server’s recommendation. While the wines were good, the amount of wine per glass poured was very llittle compared to a lot of fine restaurants we have been to this past week. Service was excellent. Overall a decent meal but not sure if it’s worthy of a Michelin recommendation.

4 stelle al cibo per il primo piatto spaghettoni con gamberi e i finger food del mio amico , le emozioni del mare le vedete nella foto e più che emozionare , rattristiscono oltre alla vista anche al palato nessuna emozione x 29€ poi.....Servizio il vino pinot grigio caldo ! Per fortuna poi nell'arco della cena si è raffreddato! Ma anche qua se non è in frigor basta dirlo e se ne sceglie un 'altro ! Il maitre come l'ha chiamato il proprietario, l'ha preso dallo scaffale !

ESPERIENZA ENOGASTRONOMICA – TRA BOTTIGLIE AFFASCINANTI E CUCINA SENZA VOCE Ci sono locali che catturano al primo sguardo, e questo ristorante, nel suo insieme, è senz’altro affascinante: moderno, curato, con una selezione di bottiglie invidiabile esposte in bella vista, quasi fosse una galleria d’arte enologica. Peccato, però, che tanta luce – fredda, invadente – spenga ogni intimità. L’ambiente, pur elegante, risulta poco accogliente, quasi asettico, privo di quella componente emozionale che dovrebbe avvolgere l’ospite sin dall’ingresso. Il servizio si muove con passo incerto: poco attento, a tratti disordinato. Va detto, però, che Peppe, presenza sorridente e alla mano, riesce a mettere a proprio agio, strappando una battuta o un sorriso anche nei momenti meno fluidi del servizio. Meno brillante l’interazione con il sommelier: professionista che mostra sicurezza (e spirito commerciale), ma che manca completamente l’ascolto. Alla richiesta di un vino sui 70€, la proposta si è spinta ben oltre, fino a etichette da 160€ a 440€: un salto quantomeno inadeguato, che denota più l’intento di vendere che quello – ben più nobile – di accompagnare il cliente in un’esperienza consapevole e personalizzata. La cucina? Deludente. Poco sapore, piatti che sembrano assemblati più che pensati, privi di identità e di quel guizzo che distingue un cuoco da uno chef. Anche nella selezione delle ostriche – elemento che richiederebbe precisione, cultura e rispetto della stagionalità – emerge approssimazione. Nessuna indicazione sul periodo di forma o sulla provenienza: un dettaglio che, in un contesto che aspira all’alta ristorazione, fa la differenza. In sintesi: una carta vini eccezionale che merita attenzione e rispetto, magari da godersi con qualche stuzzichino al bancone, in compagnia di amici o appassionati. Ma se cercate alta cucina, emozione nel piatto e un’esperienza gastronomica completa, qui non la troverete. Almeno per ora. VOTO FINALE: 5/10 Locale consigliato per bere bene, ma la ristorazione è un’altra cosa.

accoglienza da parte del personale ,secondo la nostra esperienza un po' trascurata , camerieri molto di fretta e non ci hanno dato neanche il menù. ce lo siamo presi noi siccome erano tutti insieme su una mensola vicino a noi. ho avuto la sensazione di essere trattata con molta superficialità e poca attenzione. a parte questo la cucina molto buona, con proposte anche particolari come i finger food e il piccione. arredamento molto bello creato da un mix di stili. prezzo medio-alto.

Location: purtroppo si ha l'impressione di entrare in una rimessa, in mezzo alle case. Tavoli banali e sistemazione degli stessi stile trattoria. Quadri pop ormai fuori contesto. Interessante la collocazione dei vini. Cibo: buono ma porzoni molto molto contenute. Carta dei vini: nulla da dire...spettacolare. In sintesi: prezzi e vini che meriterebbero una location di altro livello, nn una sorta di garege/capannone con erba finta all'ingresso.

I really really want to write a great review of this place as their service was great. Making reservations, arrival, wine suggestions, paying the bill everything was fine. The menu is very curated, and the wine was matched perfectly with the food. However there are a few things that would prevent me from coming back. Firstly there is something about the table lay outs and lighting in the room, bit rigid. The menus were hard-ish to understand, however, it was nice that additional languages were available. A lot of raw meat. The oysters, possibly my own mis-understanding, however I was hoping for more selection in preparation. They were very accommodating at the time and we did come up with 2 preparations. It was a nice evening, although I left slightly disappointed. Thank you.

Accoglienza: ★★★ Ambiente: ★★ Servizio: ★★★ Piatti: ★★ Prezzo: ★★ Una cantina monumentale che da sola vale la visita, il proprietario (occhi sul computer e non sulla sala!) un sommelier appassionato e un servizio fin troppo solerte (il vino scorre come un fiume, a volte anche senza chiedere). Scegliamo la degustazione di otto assaggi. La cucina alterna picchi e inciampi: dagli spaghetti con gamberi quasi crudi ai casoncelli a nostro avviso sbilanciati; troppo dolce il ripieno, troppo salata la pancetta), fino a un dolce che sembra più un ripiego che un finale memorabile. Bicchieri e posate vengono cambiati con troppa parsimonia. L’ambiente resta un curioso ossimoro: bottiglie da collezione alle pareti accanto a fumetti da cameretta. Nel complesso, un’esperienza fatta di contraddizioni, ironicamente affascinante ma non sempre convincente. Ci si torna, sì, ma soprattutto per perdersi tra le etichette della cantina.

Premesso che sono stata invitata e non posso fare un rapporto qualità / prezzo, i piatti non mi sono piaciuti. In particolare ho trovato poco piacevole il risotto alla rapa rossa: troppo liquido e il sapore di lime prevalente. La carne buona, ma con condimento molto grasso.

Poca scelta in menù, ma propone altrettanti piatti fuori menù. I secondi vengono presentati molto velocemente e a voce e quindi non si conosce il prezzo se non al presentarsi del conto. Quasi 50€ per 3 pezzi di tonno con del cetriolo mi sembra veramente esagerato. Soprattutto perché avete un concorrente specializzato in pesce veramente vicino a voi che ha proposte veramente di qualità a questi prezzi. Pochissima attenzione per l’intolleranza Al glutine, non è stata portata al tavolo un’alternativa sull’entré di benvenuto se non su richiesta, anche i dolci offerti sono arrivati al tavolo ma non per me. 220€ per due antipasti, due primi, due dolci e 38€ di bottiglia. Questo prezzo lo spendo volentieri, ma per piatti che ne valgono la pena. Mai più.

Enoteca che vuole vestirsi da stellato ma che stellato non è e si vede subito in un semplice pranzo. Il servizio è stato poco attento già nel portare menù ed acqua in ritardo rispetto a clienti abituali. La carta dei vini è ottima, così le pietanze ordinate di ottima qualità (casoncelli e tagliolini al tartufo sublimi). Grave pecca non pesare il tartufo davanti al cliente (pagato 7 euro al grammo per 5 grammi sulla fiducia). Sig. Mazzoleni, caro collega, così non ci siamo. Nella ristorazione la forma è anche sostanza. Vi darò comunque una seconda chance per capire se è stato un errore o un'abitudine. Risposta al commento del proprietario: quando si vende qualcosa al grammo si pesa davanti al cliente a prescindere dal prezzo applicato fuori e dalla materia, altrimenti si propone il piatto con un prezzo finito fisso. E' la regola per non dare adito a "cattivi pensieri" vista la sfumatura di servizio ambigua che non ci si aspetta da chi tratta Selosse ecc. Saluti AB

Food is very overpriced and not of good quality. The pork shoulder and guinea fowl were dry and overcooked. 75 euros for very mediocre food. We gave feedback but no action. Unacceptable given we had ordered a 140 wine. Avoid

Huge disappointment as for the restaurant you can find in the Michelin Guide. The dishes were served cold and, what’s more important, prepared without any imagination (you would expect that from the restaurant on the Michelin Guise list). Simple lamb (meat not cleaned properly) served with grilled pieces of vegetables, and tuna (as a fish of a day). The only interesting one was “Xiao Long Bao”, with some kind of character. But that’s it. Moreover, wine list is on 88 (!) pages, as this is a wine shop. But… the waiter couldn’t recommend anything, simply asking us if we want red, white or sparkling. I would call it: funny and unprofessional. We ordered red, for the price of not more than 40€. We got it. Relief. On top of that: the restaurant is in the residential area, far away from Cita Bassa. We have specially selected this place, as we have never been disappointed by the Michelin recommendation. Ane we wanted to celebrate our visit to Bergamo. Anyway: stay away from this place. Don’t go there: it’s a waste of time and money.
