Avis sur Cholita Linda Berkeley
I’ve only had a chance to try the Oakland and Berkeley spots, so this review is all about the Berkeley location. It’s a huge space, perfect for grabbing lunch or an early dinner. The staff are always super friendly, and the food usually arrives within 10-15 minutes when they’re not swamped. I’ve had the Cubano, Asado, and Lechon at both places, but the Papito is definitely the star, especially at the Berkeley location. Seriously, the steak is always cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. The caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and plantains combo really brings out the savory and sweet flavors when you pair it with the steak. The bread is always grilled perfectly and soaks up all the juices. The sandwich is so filling that it’s more than enough to keep you going! If you’re feeling super hungry, I’d recommend trying their sweet potato fries with just a sprinkle of salt. It’s a great way to keep that sweet and savory taste going with the Papito over the Yuca Frita.
Crushed three tacos here each one is a pretty big portion too! The fish tacos are hella good and the steak sandwich here also slaps. The hot sauce is a must as well. 3minute walk from campus fast easy and delicious. 🤙🏽
Relatively healthy food at relatively affordable prices! This place makes for a great lunch spot. What I tried was a little spicy, including the guacamole. That said, it was still pretty good! I also loved their rubber tablecloth - that just screams “efficiency” (and, in a twisted way, “style”)!
Everything was delicious. The rice & beans, plantains and chicken plate are delicious. Cuban sandwhich was delicious. I loved the fish tacos & yuca fries. Very light but delicious
Delicious Papito sandwich. With yucca fries. Mango and blackberry mix drink. Refreshing. Clean and plenty of space. Comfortable atmosphere. Will be back for more.
Cholita Linda is a godsend. I ordered the papito tofu without cheese and it was SO GOOD! Tofu with plantains is a great combination. The agua fresca de mango was just the right amount of tang and sweet. Biggest regret was not bringing my laptop to enjoy an affordable beer and finish some light work.
Nice place to sit down and chill, food is great, though I would've liked more protein included, though that's just me.
Love this place so much. I got the lechon
This Latin restaurant has good food. You order at the counter then pick it up at the counter when it's ready.

One of my favorite restaurants ever. Their cubano and agua frescas are just of out this world.
I love this spot, it’s delicious, clean and pretty. The food is great quality and the prices are really generous. I come here all the time for carnitas tacos, the ensalada and the Cuban sandwich.
Shoutout Daniel -- he remembered my name. Staff here are always super nice and polite; the restaurant is clean and the food is good! What more could you want! Plus, they have tofu tacos, which is pretty rad.
Met our grandniece for lunch, her pick! Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Food was excellent ! Got the fish tacos and some plantain… generous, crispy fresh and quite tasty!
The following is a vegetarian review from a Punjabi girl with great taste: It’s high time that I wrote a review for Cholita Linda. I’ve been eating here maybe once every two weeks (not always at this location) It is a sure fire way for me to get closer to my protein goals as a vegetarian. I ordered the tofu tacos with light crema if Im feeling health conscious and papito tofu as a delicacy. The tofu tacos are fine, tofu isn’t my fav in general but I find that I feel open to eating here when I don’t want to cook at home. The papito tofu is unlike anything Ive ever tried before- the plantains are sweet, the caramelized onions add depth and the spread, cheese and arugula are a delicious way to bring it all together. I recommend you try it at least once— I order it w light cheese and crema, and I never feel like Im missing out. Oh, don’t forget the yucca fries (theyre the best part), their serrated kind of surface lends them to being nice and crunchy, which is the mark of a good fry! The aji amarillo makes me thank South American culture— its so delicious and spicy and creamy 🤤 If you like extra spicy, you can mix the aji and their red hot sauce together (thats for the Punjabis 😉) My partner is a meat eater and he loooves the fish tacos here as well.
Awesome Mexican Food, have gone back twice in 10 days to try all of the menu. Can’t go wrong with any order here! Very nice staff and chill atmosphere!
Healthy and delicious, the plate I had tasted like it was made at home. Great space and welcoming vibe. This will be a regular spot for me
I've only gotten take-out from Cholita Linda,so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but our orders always get to us quickly and accurately, and We LOVE the food! The fact that they have delicious tofu tacos for our vegetarian family members makes it even more convenient and 😍 beloved. I am also a huge fan of the plantains🫶❤️

Every other Mexican restaurant in the county needs to reckon with the quality and amount of food you get at Cholita Linda for $15. Putting everyone else to shame. I am partial to the pescado frito plate with pinto beans.

Great food, attentive service, quick, friendly and mindful of ensuring all details are covered. Our tacos were delicious and you gotta try the chips! I would recommend!

My friend said that the fish tacos here are the best ones she’d ever had, and Cholita Linda didn’t disappoint. I ordered 2 tacos and chips and salsa and it was more than enough for me. The tacos were rich in flavor and I really enjoyed them. I was surprised at how much the chips and salsa/guac cost as they are frequently complimentary at many Latin restaurants.

The decore in this place was great. The bathroom didn't have paper towels and the toilet seat was up and the rim was urinated on. There was a weird lock that made me feels insecure and couldn't tell of the door was actully locked or not. Their carnitas taco had way too much meat and ot was dry and it had no flavor. The Pescado Frito was piece of fish, not the entire pescado. Oh and it was covered in a batter and then fried. So this was misleading for me. I expected a whole fish, fried in oil. The beans tasted like straight up canned beans and I couldn't eat them. The rice looked like it was a steamed rice but it was actually seasoned with salt. The margaritas had nasically no alcohol. I won't be returning to this place to eat, there was nothing special about it. I should have known when we showed up and the place was basically empty. They do have high chairs but there is no diaper changing station in the bathroom. My sister had to line the floor with toilet seat covers and the put her coat on the floor to change my nephews diaper, that was upsetting.

The food is great but they constantly leave items out of the order for my door dash deliveries. Second time tonight for my diet coke. Its not that difficult to read diet coke on the order. Do better. You have lost my business New update: This one was wrong also, they sent chips and salsa instead of chips and guac. So tired of the errors. Will stop ordering here.
