This is a lovely restaurant with a great ambiance and great service. I have a gluten allergy and I emailed ahead of time and they assured me they take measures to prevent cross-contamination and my server was knowledgeable about all the gluten-free options. I ended up playing it extra safe and just going with a beet salad with chicken (although they did have gluten-free pizza dough available) which was delicious! Our waitress was extremely detail oriented and attentive to our large party. We had a mix of adults and kids and everybody had something that they liked. I will say that two of the people in our party did not like the Cesar salad, although I didn't try it.
Important news flash: they do BRUNCH in addition to incredible dinners. I could write a whole post on how amazing and lovely this is as a date spot for dinner and how much I freaking love their salads and gluten free pizzas (possibly my favorite one in the bay), but this is about brunch. We had no idea they did brunch and when we looked at the menu for it online, it didn’t list any mains. But we went anyway and were blown away. I’m adding a pic of the actual brunch menu so you can see the real selection offered. Y’all, they have a BREAKFAST PIZZA and I promise it’s even better than you would imagine. Do you like breakfast? Do you like pizza? This is a heavenly chimera of two of life’s greatest joys. 👑🔥 Don’t sleep on the brunch! But also the perfect date spot. Get yourself a restaurant that can do both, and support local. The owner was there during our visit and went out of his way to create an excellent experience. Also, the patio is very dog friendly 🐶
Make reservations if possible ahead of time. Fyi I have never heard of this place until today. The moment I saw a reservation system, small seating, and a corkage fee. I was like, this sounds very familiar.. I once worked at a restaurant like this in the city. But let's talk about the food: I tried the Gnocchi, the pesto, and pine nuts one , it was good. I am very curious about the pizzas. Definitely will try their pizzas next time. Had a garden salad, and it was very fresh. I tried their meatballs, and it was very tasty, I must say. Limited parking, if you are not early. I can't imagine what it would be like when it is busy. If there is a designated parking area, please let me know. Restroom: one occupancy, but clean. Service: Attentative. I barely asked for refills of my water 💧 so that is a plus. Definitely will come back on pay day, though. Prices are $$$
Amaaaaazing! Such a special neighborhood gem. We got and love the PEI mussels. Perfect amount of kick and couldn't get enough of that white wine butter sauce. The Margherita pizza and roasted beet salad also are must-gets. The salad has this yummy pistachio praline topping. I could eat that alone as a snack. Service was warm and helpful, especially with the recommendations. I can't wait to be back and definitely want to try their brunch offerings as well!
This is a phenomenal place! I had the gnocchi and creamy pesto dish along with a delicious Bordeaux wine. I recommend their tiramisu!
Great place with a good atmosphere. Met the proprietor who uses his mom's carrot cake receipe - delectable. Everything was delicious. Had the burrata to start, pork chop, pappadella, ribeye, and salmon. Carrot cake for dessert😋
Amazing spot for dinner! Host and server were both so friendly and attentive. The burrata starter with pistachio and blood orange was light and refreshing. The fried chicken sandwich and pork shoulder mains were flavorful and high quality. Flourless chocolate cake to top off the meal! Non-alcoholic beers available as well as other draft or wine options.
Went here for a celebration and I liked it so much, I came back the next day for a dessert that turned into 2nd lunch. Initially I had the Camerino with pork sausage ragu and I couldn't put the fork down. For dessert I had the affogato - the espresso is bold, and the gelato is rich, and both extremes created a wonderful dessert. I also got the cookies, and while a bit crunchy and a bit salty, were devoured nonetheless and despite not being my ideal cookie, was one of the best I've had in recent memory. I visited the following day just for dessert. However, I regretted not ordering the gnocchi. It was melt in your mouth delicious. I had a few gripes: there aren't really any appetizers, wasn't offered any complementary bread, and the portion sizes are small, which stings even more considering the former two points. Another nit-pick is the wait staff seemed forgetful which I noticed in both visits - the first evening I could understand as it was a busy evening, but a bit after opening too? That didn't detract from the experience to me, but if you are picky about service, I'd call it okay: they are plenty friendly, but we did have to ask for things multiple times on both visits. But no complaints on quality of food and I will be visiting again.
Found this place randomly on Google and so glad I did. Service was attentive and food was outstanding! Fairly small place but as soon as I stepped in, you could smell the freshly made food. Environment was warm and inviting, perfect on one of the Bay's chillier nights. Definitely recommend! Even heard another patron ask the host where he could leave a review because him and his party had a great time as well. Will definitely be back 😊
The food was absolutely amazing! Paulo gave great service. I expected good food but this was great. You definitely will want to try this place out. I had the short ribs and the meatballs. I tried my friends pepperoni and sausage pizzas. My wife had the pasta and oysters. We absolutely loved everything!
Cute dining spot. Perfectly cooked crispy Brussels sprouts, crab ravioli. The classic pepperoni pizza is also very tasty.
Food was delicious. The beet salad was my absolute favorite! Service was great too! Fabulous outdoor patio surrounded by beautiful wood planters, heaters for when it got chilly, and an awning that made it feel like a European al fresco experience. Sunset was beautiful as well! We’ll be back!
Excellent food I love the atmosphere. I recommend this place.
Brought my family last weekend. The kids loved the meatballs with garlic bread and the rigatoni. My wife and I enjoyed the chicories salad, speck pizza, and half chicken. Yum!

We are "regulars" at this wonderful spot for special meals and even the not so special ones. They always make each visit very enjoyable with superb service and great choices within a not overwhelming menu list. Everything is nearly perfect, but our recent experience with their scallops was "to die for"!!! My son remarked that their scallops were far superior to those he had recently at Gordon Ramsey's Hells Kitchen!!! Their panna cotta is unbeatable and they are very gracious in giving wine tastes until the patrons decide on what's just right for their meal. Not to be missed!!!
Second time dining at Creekwood and it is just such a gem. We got the mussels and could not get enough of their sauce on perfect ACME bread, and the petrale sole dish was faultless and delightful. Their desserts were perfect last time but good luck saving room. Service was excellent and very quick in a packed restaurant. Will be back!

We were delighted to come across this place. The wine selection is excellent. We had Brussels sprouts to start. Lasagna and scallops were fantastic. We were given had two glasses of port for dessert. The service was above and beyond. Thank you, Kevin! We will be back and bragging about this place to everyone!! Again, thank you!!
Food was good, portions are decent, service was friendly and attentive. It was 5 of us and two babies with strollers. They were able to accommodate us on a Sunday about 5pm. It was slow when we arrived but much busier when we left, probably best to make reservations for dinner.
Very busy restaurant in Berkeley, which I was not expecting much from but I am pleasantly surprised with how great the restaurant is. Service is excellent and the staff is friendly. There was a wide variety of options to choose from like a fried chicken sandwich, pizza, mussels, to a beet salad. I ordered the brussel sprouts, meatballs (not pictured), mussels, and pesto gnocchi. Overall the meal was good but I was not wow’d by the food. I will say the gnocchi was very tasty and the pesto was flavorful so I would rate that a 5/5. Otherwise my rating is as follows: - food 3/5 - atmosphere 5/5 - service 5/5 - menu options 5/5
Great Brunch👍 Definitely would come often.

This is only one of a handful of times that we've ever been led astray by great reviews. I recommend skipping this place as there are so many other great options. We won't be going back and we're honestly surprised by how amiss our experience was. The food taste was mediocre at best and the service seemed very disconnected. We felt as though the workers wanted to serve well, but they just weren't streamlined and everything felt discombobulated. In our opinion, they need better management and training. The chef was also a letdown as the food wasn't well balanced and only one dish was a hit at our table. The prices were astronomical for the experience we had. It felt like a chain restaurant experience at Michelin prices - it's like they want to be something they're not. This was not the experience we expected or paid for and the exceptional reviews honestly feel hard to explain. Considered 3 stars because the experience wasn't terrible, but the price tag leaves more to be desired.
