I had the opportunity to stop by Mixt in Berkeley yesterday while staying nearby. Having moved to another state some time ago, my go-to location used to be the Oakland store. I was pleasantly surprised to see Sam now serving as the General Manager — it was wonderful to see her and the excellent team she leads at this location. They are doing an outstanding job, and I look forward to visiting again whenever I am in town.

I have made this location my go to lunch spot for the last few months. Customer service is excellent; and Fernanda does a wonderful job of making sure my order is made exactly how I like, even while working on another order! Sam provides excellent customer service at the reception area and my meals have been incorporated into my diet. In short, great food, excellent customer service, and great atmosphere.

This is my second visit to this location, as I usually get my salads to-go in Oakland. It did not disappoint! My favorite bowl is the Bachan’s, and the crispy chicken was absolutely delicious and fresh. It was also great to see the friendly team working here—it really adds to the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area. 10/10!

The staff members are always courteous and attentive, preparing my salad exactly to my preferences each time, which is a key reason I continue to return to Mixt. In particular, Sam provides exceptional customer service, demonstrating a remarkable ability to remember names and small personal details about me and my friends. Her attentiveness, professionalism and great personality make each visit an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Such a great place to get my salad every time! I just had my fav Dave’s taco bowl and it’s delicious, Fernanda was super nice while making my salad and I also got some watermelon agua fresca that it’s to die for. Well done Mixt!

For a fast casual spot the ambiance is fine! It’s not anything special but it’s pleasant. I ordered a crispy chicken Bachan’s bowl which was just delicious! A good amount of each ingredient keeps each bite tasty and varied in texture and taste. I am eager to try this with the fried cauliflower- maybe I’ll add some to the order next time. The bowl was generous enough for 2 servings.

I love MIXT! Such amazing, creative salad ingredients that always taste fresh. I always make my own salad, and can make a different cuisine every time. Definitely pricey, but worth it I would say, and definitely far superior to sweetgreen.

My favorite lunch - always delicious, filling and feels healthier than other lunch spots. It's not the very cheapest lunch around, but it's a good value for the size and quality of the salads.

Great place for grabbing a salad in Berkeley. It was super clean and staff were friendly. They were also very fast with my order. I really liked that you could customize your salad and add a protein to it. I had the MIXT Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. I will definitely be back!

The salad plate doesn't look attractive. On the picture it looked much more appetizing. After eating it, i was actually satisfied. I don't think i would ever come back again unless they hire a skillful salad plate decorator and reduce the price a little.

They had the NERVE to put a spoiled black avocado in my Bachans Bowl. And the chicken is white suppose to be grilled!

Update: this location messed up an order AGAIN! Paid extra for crispy cauliflower on a salad and didn’t get it. My bad for not fully unboxing my order in front of the staff which I suppose is necessary. I will only be going to the Oakland location from now on. Ordered the tofu sandwich for takeout and it literally didn’t have tofu on it. Just cabbage and avocado. I wish I was joking. Would have called the store to work it out instead of leaving a review but they do not have a phone number. So I guess if you order takeout from here you have to open it up in store to check if it has the MAIN INGREDIENT.

I ordered the food online to have an easy pick-up, it took the team member 2 seconds to hand me the order only after I got their attention. I missed a total of 3 BART trains just standing there waiting to get acknowledgment, which I basically had to jump up & down to get their attention LIKE HELLO?!!! Anyone there???

The lady behind the counter is very rude and has a bad attitude…I ask to use the bathroom before buying something so I could wash my hands and she said no you have to buy something 1st…I was in my uniform on break trying to get something healthy for a snack…the way she looked at me like I was just trying to use the restroom or if I was homeless…really turned me off an away…I will never come back here…the Hispanic young lady needs to be re trained on customer service

Still clinging to the archaic buy something to use the bathroom model. Here’s a review of my $4 Cookie purchase to use the bathroom: super dry, crumbled into pieces before I could eat it. I guess the main entree must be just as bad. See ya on the down side mixt.
