I loooove this place!! They are literally my favorite boba place ever. Not to mention, they have a reputation for having the best popcorn chicken in Berkeley and they definitely do! Just wish they had the nutrition facts on their website, it would be nice to know how many calories I'm eating lol.

The man who owns this place is the best, and we must protect him at all costs. Both the Taiwan style milk tea and curly fries are enough to bring anyone to their knees out of pure joy, and I would have it 3 times a day if it didn’t mean a triple bypass operation in the near future. This is a must visit establishment!

Best boba I’ve had in Berkeley! They have an order screen out front that makes it easier to order without having to talk to anybody (for shy people) and the employees are nice. The snacks are also great. I recommend the chicken, fries, and honey milk tea, although all their teas are excellent. Definitely coming back.

Late night regulars were friendly. I got an order of chicken off “too good to go’ and ordered a burger while I waited for pickup. Sweetheart Cafe is one of the best value Boba places that you'll find in Berkeley. They've got a pretty diverse selections of teas/ milk teas that you can order, but more than likely you'll find that you'll end up with a favorite that you order every time. For me that was the Tapioca Pearl Milk Tea, but I've had friends who prefer other selections as well. Sweetheart also offers various snacks, I'd definitely recommend the popcorn chicken, as you get a good amount of chicken and adding a bit of chilli powder to it really takes it to the next level. Sweetheart is definitely worth a try at this price point, even if it's not your favorite, it can easily become a staple in your Berkeley Boba world.

The boba and the other drinks are pretty delicious here. The drinks from this place are slightly better than most of the other local cafes/boba shops nearby. The prices are average for the city of Berkeley.

Not bad, sometimes service can range from a bit rude to pretty cool. Comes out fast but can also be delayed even if the app (use Snackpass, I recommend it)says it’s ready. Best boba in Berkeley so far, because they are consistent with quality, taste, and business. I have to give boba ninja another shot, they seemed pretty okay too! Plentea and share tea dropped in quality :/

Avocado smoothie was good, weeks ago, made by the lady. I even told mother about it. The two following avocado smoothie on different days, and a taro smoothie were not the same. Flavor is lacking. I surely will not come back for a fifth time, 3 fair over 1 good is enough

This place used to be my favorite. It's the best pricing for boba, but it seems watered down lately. It's still okay boba for the cost though.

The boba itself is not very good. The texture is not chewy. The milk tea itself was not very good either. There are better places to get boba for sure.

Don’t bother ordering the Papaya Milk Smoothie on doordash here, that flavor is never available and even when it says in your order “Call me if not available” they won’t and won’t send nothing at all. I ordered two smoothies and they only sent one. I don’t understand why they couldn’t call so I can get another flavor. Had to call support for a refund which will take days to arrive. Thanks for wasting my time. Update: 1 star to 3 since the owner at least addressed/followed up on issue.

Love the Sweetheart Cafe in SF but the Berkeley version doesn't hold to the same standard. Decent food and drinks but more expensive than neighboring Boba shops that, in my opinion, are better. When I visited, the staff wasn't friendly either whereas the nearest Boba shop is always super friendly. Decent but there's better Boba nearby.

10/10! Best boba ever. And great food. The only thing i would ask for is please put some ice in the drinks my red bean boba was warm. Also my hubby forgot to say no sugar or only 25% sugar im a diabetic and ot was to sweet! But we will be coming back for more! Ordered an avocado smoothie, not the sweetest or the best. I think a lot more condensed sweetened milk would help. The smoothie somewhat tastes like silk almond milk. The store owner is super sweet. Gave extra ice cream.

To be honest, I understand that this shop has probably had many issues with snackpass or people picking up orders that is not theirs and I understand that but I don’t feel welcomed and the gestures the gentleman gives to me as a customer is very RUDE. I came to pick up a snackpass order with number and name and he rudely gestured to see the confirmation. Fine, as I was retrieving the confirmation he disappears and I had to wait. He comes out and I show him the confirmation and he taps my phone to check the picture. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH PEOPLE’S PERSONAL BELONGINGS WITHOUT ASKING. Snackpass does not require me to check item picked up. The calamari is, alright, not super hot. I had better impression when we went previously, but this time, I feel very insulted and the food tastes worst when it is a bad experience. Communication can be better, gestures and a little professionalism and sincerity for when the littlest business during this financial time is great. If you are having a bad day, don’t stand behind the counter and give your customers bad impression, sometimes the food is secondary. I give 2 stars because I appreciate that he is still in business and I do want to support small business still.

Large black milk tea is $5.80? That's fine if you offer organic milk or premium quality tea like Feng Cha or Yi Feng but that's totally not the case here. The tea was also way too sweet and was a total regret buy. Wish they would ask about sugar like every other boba place. However the guy working there seemed not to care too much. Oh well!

Super awful customer service! The cashier turned his pos machine to me, but I don’t know how to operate his machine, it ended up showing “pay cash”, though I originally want to pay by card. The cashier asked me to pay cash, since I operated the machine incorrectly! Though he ended up removed that transaction, made another new transaction by himself and let me pay by card. However, the overall process and his first reaction is super awful!! Strongly not recommended! Will never ever come back!

During my CalSol (student orientation), I tried my first Berkeley boba here. I got a regular milk tea, and I couldn't even finish it because it tasted so gross. It was too watered down, and the pearls were hard so they were only good for shooting out the straw. Bleh.

A debit card of mine has a charge from this establishment on Monday September 5th, 2022. I don’t live in the state of california, I haven’t visited California in years. I tried calling and no one answered. Therefor. Considering I paid for something at a place I never have heard of and don’t have anything to show for it. It should be 0 stars. I've waited 30 minutes for some french fries and they told me in 30 minutes that they don't have any. And they've offered me some other things that I don't like. And they've thrown us out of the store. Because we've claimed the french fries. Very bad, very bad service. Very rude.

If I'm going to pay nearly $10 for a single milk tea, and that's a big if, it's going to be somewhere with much higher quality.
