Try the hamburger steak with cabbage, green beans, mashed potatoes. It was outstanding. Next day I got a 15-piece wings with fries. Also outstanding food was fresh, hot and delivered quick.

I got my usual combination baker July 25 and the young lady was very nice. My baker was hot and ready to eat. My husband had baked chicken dressing mac n cheese with mashed potatoes and gravy 😋. Just opening up so everything is not going to be top notch but they're on their way. Thanks American Ranch House.

Food is good. Staff is friendly. Good place to eat near the airport.

Four stars because Nikis is still open. This is better than most meat and 3. Portions are LARGE. Value is great. In Magic City lingo its not as good as Ted's or Nikis, generally better than Johnny's. The fast food side is good. I've never gotten a poor sandwich, and sides are solid. Its a way better experience than major chains for a paper bag meal. Some desserts are meh, but peach cobbleris Grandmaw Good. Their lasagna is superb, better than most Italian restaurants. REALLY. Its in a scary part of town BUT once you're inside it is very well run and EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. Really clean. It's well run. GO!

I did not take a picture of the food was too hungry. The first visit I got the Liver and onions. Now I do not expect to get my grandmother'a version. I do expect the liver to be fully cooked and seasoned well. If you do not know how to cook it then do not serve it. That is my philosophy. I like liver and onions a lot. The vegetables and corn bread were delicious and seasoned well. The establishment was clean outside and I side. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They made suggestions and chatted with you about different dishes. They worked as a team. Great energy and synergy. The cakes and pies were visible, so you could decide what you wanted. Also, the carry a carry good brand tea. I am a tea person. Win-win. I will be back to try something else soon. I tried the beef steak last Tuesday, pretty good.

I ordered in drive thru around 7p last night because dining room was already closed. I ordered 8 piece chicken wing combo (lemon pepper). I asked that it be cooked fresh. Normally I go in to watch my food being cooked. The fries were hot and fresh. The chicken wings were hard and not fresh, taste like they were dropped back in the grease for a 2nd time. Lemon pepper was very salty. Drink was good.

The service was OK. The only thing I didn’t like was I heard one of the young men say that he was feeling sick and I don’t think he should’ve been serving food. I got the oxtails cabbage dressing mac & cheese. The oxtails are not tender not fully cooked I had to stay The dressing is straight stove, top stuffing heavily sage. The cabbages are not done. The macaroni and cheese is a no-no. I went to this place based off a recommendation. I will not be a repeat customer.

The dining room was closed. Came in town 10/10/25. Read some good reviews. Not our experience. Got the whiting fish sandwich. Very small sandwich, no taste. Fries was OK. Fried green tomatoes was mushy. That mixed punch was good. Daughter got chicken Baker, she said it wasn't seasoned at all. Got the red velvet cake. I dont even want to try it. Very disappointing

I went there 7/24/25 order a combination baker it was aweful the potato was not hot it tasted old . The meat on it was tough as it was old and big chunks. . And the man was mean to the cashier and the gentleman on the front line he was a aweful the (manager ) mean. they couldn’t wait on the customer he was to aggressive to them . Now I know why they weren’t smiling . Let them breathe . And you talking to them in front of the guest. I will not be back .
