Bazille – Nordstrom La Cantera

I really wasn't sure what to expect for a restaurant inside a northstrom, but we wanted to try something new. Honestly, it was a great experience. Food was good, chill vibe, good service - I know im spelling it wrong but Ossy was a cool dude. We went on a Monday evening and the place was dead, which i thought was interesting. In their defense, I think it's more of a place for lunch.

It was my first time there and it was amazing the service and Chyna took great care of us.

I’ve been coming here since it opened and the food had always been top notch. I’m sad that the fries with rosemary are removed from the menu. It’s been one of my favorite things for years. Please bring those back as an option.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Bazille restaurant inside Nordstrom. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The food was absolutely phenomenal, beautifully presented and full of flavor. What truly made the visit special was the outstanding service. Camilla, our server, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really elevated the entire dining experience. We also want to recognize Kenneth, the restaurant manager, who was awesome. He made us feel very welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly, which made a big difference. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! Great restaurant and great manager and service!!!

It was my first time coming here in yeeeaarrrrssss and the food and service were amazing. Brianna was so hospitable and sweet. She was humble enough to admit she wasn't sure about something but made it a point to find out. Kenneth ( the manager) came by, and between them both they made the experience wonderful again. Nice to see this place going back to what it once was, which is quality food (s/o kitchen) and great guest service.

Food was awesome, had no idea a store had a restaurant, it’s like fancy outdoorworld! No bowling though. The server Brianna was really nice! The manager Kenneth came by to make sure everything was good and he was also very nice. Shout Bri and Kenneth. Neiman Marcus has its work cut out for them. Thanks bazille

Exceptional Food. Best pizza ever, loved the french soup. Sad no creme brulee but the gelato ice cream was bomb. Kids pasta penne and burger also tasted good

Fantastic Chicken Sandwich. Fresh greens, and amazing seasoning on everything. Really impressed the fact this is inside a shop with how great it is!

I had such an amazing experience at Bazille inside Nordstrom, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Ava for making our visit absolutely perfect! Ava was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. Her recommendations were excellent, she checked on us at just the right times, and her warm personality made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who is not only outstanding at their job but also so kind and personable. Ava truly went above and beyond, and you can tell she cares about giving her guests a wonderful experience. If you dine at Bazille, definitely ask for Ava, you will be in the best hands! She is an absolute gem. 10/10 service, and I will definitely be coming back!

We have been frequent diners for many years at Bazille and today after we were seated we never had a server approach us to take our drink or food order and Dani J stepped in to help us and gave us the best service we have had in a long time. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Dani J is someone you should have as a server, he does everything with a smile and he would be a great asset.

Usually stop by for drinks when I’m shopping and maybe some snacks staff is wonderful. Food is great!

The food was amazing. We ordered the little gem Caesar salad and the truffle cauliflower crust pizza. The food was amazing as was the service. Rebecca our server was very nice and was very attentive to our requests. Definitely will return and hope Rebecca is on duty. Thanks Rebecca!!!

This is where I go most of the time and the food has been good. Today, I ordered a house salad, I did not specify the size and the server did not ask. That salad option is on the first part of the menu for $9. The server was very nice and attentive. However, when I got the bill I see the salad (which was ok for $9) at $14...I asked the lady who helped us and she said sorry I brought you the large...in retrospective, I will be more careful and specify the size when ordering. Yet, servers are there to ask questions. Anyway, it is disappointing but I am sure that was just miscommunication. I did bring this up to the store manager to please make team members aware and to disclose information. Had I known I was going to pay $14 for a house salad (just mixed greens, croutons and some diced tomatoes; I would have upgraded to the delicious cilantro lime salad).

It has been a while since I have stopped in at the café. Very, very pleased with great service, friendly staff. I ordered the cilantro lime salad was happy that a plant based option given as an add on as opposed to only chicken and fish. It was fantastic with shucked corn kernels and pepitas. In addition perfectly dressed. The crab bisque was lovely Especially on a cold rainy day The other item ordered was the cilantro chicken taco appetizer, which was fantastic, beautiful presentation :full of color! I will definitely be back!

I went to this place on a Thursday afternoon and had the the cilantro tacos 🌮. They were to die for their hard shell and literally almost choked because I too much of a big bite and didn’t chew it properly. Eric my waiter was very kind and suggestive with the menu was on it quickly. I must say the clientele was superb everyone came to my rescue immediately and a lady even followed me to the restroom to make sure I was okay. God bless this place. Toodles 💕Oh! And had the best virgin mojito without alcohol of course for me.

My recent dining experience at Brazille, Nordstrom's restaurant, left me thoroughly impressed, primarily thanks to its exceptional Portobello Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli. These ravioli were simply divine, perfectly cooked and bursting with rich Portobello mushroom flavor, complemented by a creamy, savory sauce that was a true culinary masterpiece. If you appreciate outstanding food, Brazille's Portobello ravioli is a must-try.

Surprise! The restaurant is inside the Nordstrom store at La Cantera. The food and service was really great. Did not expect such flavor inside a department store. Even if you are not shopping don’t miss this opportunity for great food.

Portebello mushroom ravioli

It was our favourite restaurant at La Cantera, “was” the main word… unfortunately they changed menu and quality food, it’s completely different flavour now. We were there just this week last time and took our usual plates- different flavor absolutely. We don’t know what happened- different chef or (maybe and) different Replacement of products with cheaper ones, so now I can’t recommend this place like place with delicious food, unfortunately

Hostess wouldn’t even make eye contact to acknowledge another humans existence and looks mad to be there. Waitress was very sweet and kind. Food was ok but for the price I would expect something better. Can feel a little weird eating next to mannequins compared to the window view they have. All in all, I wouldn’t come back again when I can go somewhere better for the same price.

Decent food, but my salmon was pretty dry. Service was ok until the manager came by and ordered closing to commence in the middle of our meal. Her snarky smile to our party is enough to make me not want to come back. Moving tables, chairs, and sweeping the floor 45 minutes before closing with no consideration for noise or customers is poor management in my opinion. Would come back for drinks, I hope the manager won’t be there

Sat in restaurant for 10 min. and no service. Had to call hostess to finally retrieve a waiter.

I love Nordstrom but this place is absurd. We walked in and overheard a table sending a plate back because it was never washed before her a salad was put on it. Tons of gnats flying around which was just so gross. We’re on the 2nd floor all enclosed so you can only wonder where those gnats are coming from. Sent out a super hot burger with cheese that could leave burns in your mouth with 0 warning, and their truffle sauce is terrible. One star is for the view and the other star is for the Brussels sprouts. Otherwise just drive around the corner to Cheesecake Factory.

The food here is good, but the prices are quite high for the overall experience. Unfortunately, the management seems lacking and doesn’t create the kind of atmosphere you would expect at this price point. The service was very poor, and it feels like many of the issues stem from poor management. Because of this, I wouldn’t choose to dine here again

Giving a one star because Lisa is the absolute worst. Needs better management. Only thing worth going for is chef JC who is the best chef in the whole city. Other then that this place reeks for a new chapter.

Terrible service! We sat at our table and were completely ignored. Not a single person came by to greet us or take our order the entire time we were there. After waiting and being treated like we didn’t exist, we finally walked out. Absolutely unacceptable — if I could give zero stars, I would.

Server Jason needs training. Jason was nice but he was not attentive. Forgot to bring me my dessert order. Refill on water slow. Didn't place my dessert order took get longer to receive. I had to ask for dessert menu BTW. Seemed like he did not wanna b there or serve me. Spoke bad abt San Antonio. Kept asking ready for check? Next time I will pick my waitress/waiter. Andy hostess was awesome. Very nice and patient. I still tipped 30%. I remember the struggle. It's a hard job. But when lunch cost $100+ waitstaff should be top tier. Please train. Food was delicious 😋. Creme brulee is heaven. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Crab bisque is my favorite. Cosmo martini was tasty. Bruschetta is fabulous. Everything on menu is worth it.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and to preface the waitress was super sweet and attentive, but the food was horrible. For starters there was a long curly black hair in our turkey sandwich, then the avocado toast was completely brown and rotten and the kitchen still thought it was okay to serve, and the crab bisque had no crab in it and tasted completely diluted by their tomato soup which I've tried before. When I got home I had the worst stomach ache from the bisque. Do not go here. Quality has gone down significantly, didn't use to be this bad before the remodel.

Terrible experience. Somebody in management needs to get this place in order. Came shortly after they opened and felt like an inconvenience. Then, out of the whole restaurant they seat a family right next to us. Not even a table apart. Bad management. Anyone is service industry knows better than to do that. Salmon wasn’t cooked all the way, had to pick around it. Disappointing. Won’t be coming back. Not worth the convenience of being in the mall.

I’ve had a decent brunch here in the past, but not today. My friend and I were seated and then were never waited on for our 30 minutes there, while tables left and right of us were seated and served. We tried to make contact with staff, but they rushed right by us. Some servers just stood around. Being treated like this inside a Nordstrom establishment makes this extra awful. We decided to forego lunch AND shopping and gladly spent our money elsewhere holiday shopping.

You MUST double check your order, even if you ask if everything is in the bag. We just got home with our order for bisque with extra crostini…wait staff confirmed “extra crostini is in with soup”. Fifteen minutes later, at home, we found no extra crostini. What’s worse: salads did not have dressing on them!!!! Manager says you have to contact Door Dash, even though the order was place on the Bazille website….and it says nothing about Door Dash! No refund available. Very disappointed!

Used to love eating here, but service has gone significantly downhill. Today, for example, I stood at the host stand without being acknowledged by any of the six employees who walked up to me, with the place only about half full. I have noticed that the level of service I receive is usually dependent on the clothing I wear. Take your money elsewhere.
