Avis sur Parthenon Diner Restaurant Branford
I love this place. I’m comfortable with the food and usually enjoy it. I also think the prices are amazing. It can get busy and it can be difficult to find parking, but usually isn’t too bad. The food is always a hit or miss for ME. I am honestly really picky and will try to order things I don’t know if I will like. However, I think most people like it. The Greek lasagna (pictured) didn’t do it for me. I liked the cheese soufflé layer on top. I still give it 5 stars cause honestly I’m pretty sure I’m the issue. My boyfriend loved this. We did order a special which came with the pie! They have the BEST pie and cake. It’s honestly my favorite. Their burgers are always juicy and delicious. I have never had any issue with the servers and genuinely been really happy here. It’s a diner and is diner food, but of all the ones I have been to this is my FAVORITE.
Parthenon Diner offers a great variety of dishes on its menu, and you can enjoy breakfast anytime. I highly recommend the artisan sandwiches. The pastrami sandwich is awesome, but the short rib grilled cheese is especially delicious. The staff here are also really friendly and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable dining experience.
Great selection and food. My mimosa looked like a tequila sunrise! It was very good. I had a boring meal of eggs and home fries, but their home fries are delicious (asked for them "well done"). My companion got a special kind of French toast that was "stuffed" from the specials menu (for the life of me, I cannot recall the name), and that was amazing as well. You can't go wrong! Updated... went there for breakfast this morning and got an item on the specials called the Jimmy Bowl, which was eggs, chorizo sausage, peppers, rice, onion , cheese, "home fries" and avocado. I was a little disappointed in seeing that they've changed their home fries to hash browns (shredded potato). It was still really good though.
The food tastes great and is served fast. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. The staff is super nice to everyone while delivering your food with a smile. Finally, their front hostesses are hilarious and always a pleasure to talk to.
The corned beef hash is homemade and easily some of the best I've ever had. Everything is incredibly fresh, servers are friendly and attentive, and this place has a really neat vibe. I will definitely make a habit of coming back!
Hands down (or rather up into my mouth) my favorite diner. Great food. Great environment. Good price. I personally fancy their gyros, possibly the best in the state. I have gotten gyros from many places in CT, and have to say: the ones at the Parthenon are my preferred style.
I really liked this cute diner. Milkshake was delicious. My daughter likes kraft Mac and cheese and she ate two kids sized ones. Love their decor. It's a cute place. The mousse cake looked cute but not to my liking as it was too dense. Would surely go back and try some other meals.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. The wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. Since this was my first experience here, I certainly plan to return very soon.
Had a wonderful breakfast with my hubby. Gaylyn was wonderful and very personal and attentive. The food was great …pancakes , Greek egg white omelette , home fries all delicious. All food served just as we asked . Clean, and nice music to make it very comfortable. Bring your family and ask for Gaylyn and be sure to have great time 😊😊🌷🌷
Good food and service. Generous portions.
Loved the food there. Waitress was awesome and was fast with our food and drink. It was very clean.

The best diner experience I’ve ever had in Connecticut. Great vibes, delicious food, and my server Kyle was peak professionalism and made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely coming back next time I’m on the coast.

Wait staff very friendly large portions and food was good
This is a traditional Greek diner with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The service is quick and the food is good. This is my go to place between NY and MA. Easily accessible off Exit 55 , route 95. Great way to avoid the crowded rest areas and get healthier food.
Decent Little diner close to the highway exit ramp. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. The menu isn't as big as some diners you might visit, especially in the tri-state area, but their offerings are good. The food I had was prepared fresh, the only grape would be that they gave me iceberg lettuce instead of mixed greens. But that might have been due to a shortage and not the norm. The staff is friendly and service was okay. Nothing to write home about.
The food was good, and the place was clean. Our waitress was nice, she only checked on us a few times. Which was okay cause someone else filled my coffee. The desserts looked delicious. The oreo pancakes where yum and my Greek sampler was good as well. The omelet looked a bit small. The prices where okay. Not typical prices of your diner. But it seems like you can overlook that for the taste of the food. Would come back if ever in town again.
We arrived as travelers seeking breakfast with a dog in the summer. We had the patio to ourselves and we were happy and grateful. I did not mind that our table had not been washed (I wiped it off with one of my many paper napkins) or that the asphalt had not been swept. Service was fast and courteous. The food was fabulous! I had a Mexican wrap abundant with gooey melted cheese and freshly sliced avocado, topped with fire roasted salsa. Dog lovers unite on the patio!
It's a cute spot with great service but not great food. The beef stew was good, but everything else was a miss. The place is very cozy and cute though, classic vintage diner look. The staff was very pleasant and the coffee was hot! Overall, I probably won't be back again but it could be great for someone!

Great customer service. Food is good.
They serve hot fries with hot oil directly in styrofoam container. Guess what happens? You guessed it melts right through. I threw them away. I should have have ordered deep fried styrofoam. I mean might as well. Went second time and third time and told them to put something deli paper in between. Like I asked for a liver. Do these people know how important is the costumer? Pickle got smaller and smaller now it is slices because is less. They just cut more and more portions but remain Michelin stars restaurant prices. with styrofoam containers. Rude staff the management mostly and the workers look like they are punished workers. I would have that attitude only if I am not getting paid.
I stopped in for a quick breakfast during my 30-minute lunch break and ordered a coffee, chocolate milk, and a ham & cheese omelet with home fries. It took almost my entire lunch break just to receive the food. When it finally arrived, the plate was visibly dirty. I rubbed the surface with my finger and grime came off — clearly not food residue. The waiter saw it and called over the manager, who attempted to claim it was residue from the food, which was not true. It took actual scrubbing to remove it. Given the unsanitary condition of the plate and the excessive wait time, I told them I would not be paying for the meal. I did, however, offer to pay for the coffee and chocolate milk. They charged me $9 for those two items. Between dirty dishes, poor service, long wait times, and being overcharged, I will never return. The phrase “the customer is always right” clearly isn’t part of their culture — even when the customer truly is right. Very disappointing experience.
