Some of the best authentic Mexican food and the very best Charro beans I’ve ever had!
It's Christmas & I was hoping for menudo & they had it. It's delicious & very well made! Then meat isn't chewy or soggy & you can taste all the spices that went into it, I love this menudo. Thank you guys for being open & serving such delicious food. Merry Christmas!
Outstanding food in a nothing fancy place, we had the menudo which was pretty good and the parrillada for 2 that was really more than enough for 3, cake, flan and cheesecake slices to complement the whole dinner meal. They have Mon to Fri specials and on Fri is mojarra frita, can't wait to go back to visit to go eat there again in a friendly family atmosphere.
They have a great menu all the co workers really enjoy food including the burgers. Service is fast location is convenient
Delicious food served with a smile. I always try a different plate and nothing has disappointed me so far!
The menudo is the BEST in town and the tacos were phenomenal! Great vibes, clean and friendly staff. Definitely a must try in Houston!
Good food, great service. Had that small Texas town feel to it, and the waitress was very hospitable and respectful
If you want finger lickin, real authentic Mexican food go to this place!! Everything is delicious... whether you want breakfast tacos or street tacos!
I have always loved eating here. Friendly people and darn good food morning or night
Good coffee and horchata. Great chips n salsa. And the food's pretty damn good with generous portions.
Love the food! Hard to communicate because I don't speak Spanish but they are great!
Ok so this was a hole in the wall find for us. It's out kind of far 45 minute drive for us but let me tell you. Their food is really good worth the drive. It's not too expensive the meat is never gamey or tastes like "chokilla" ..the staff is super nice Elva has been our waitress every time and she is great. We make the trip once a week since we found it. Totally recommend
Great service every time. The waitresses are always nice and very attentive. I recommend the parrillada and the quesadillas, you won’t be disappointed
I love that this restaurant has a drive-thru! Plus, their Enchiladas Mexicanas are very delicious!
The place is most definitely run down and looks like it open 20 years ago or longer. However, that has not affected the food in any way. It's a family-owned place, the servers are always very nice and the food is delicious. Definitely a gem, a diamond in the rough.
Hit the spot exactly what I needed on a cold night stuck at work. Yummy Caldo soup 🍲. Size medium next time I getting the large
Came to eat for breakfast. I had the Carne guisada tacos and chicharron taco which was good as seen in picture. My son had the chicken nuggets plate. The nuggets were nice and crispy. Overall this place was good with good service. Waitress was nice and attentive. Only thing I would say was over a bit was the music it was too loud.
Wow! I was surprised at how good the food was here! From the location and the atmosphere it doesn’t seem like it’d be good at all, but it was. The waitresses were really nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean as well. We always try the queso at every Mexican restaurant and it honestly tasted like an off brand of Velveeta with an off brand of rotel. We added the amazing, warm, fresh salsa to it and it tasted better. We had their enchiladas verde. Usually I need some seasoning or foods are bland but surprisingly it was fine the way it was! I didn’t need to add anything, not even salt! It tasted fresh and homemade. The beef and chicken fajita wasn’t dry and was seasoned well. The cheese was melty and stringy and so good! I would definitely go back to try some other items on their menu. You should check them out!
This morning I had breakfast at El Patron Restaurante, 7334 Wallisville Road, Houston. This place is neat and clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Juevos ala Mexicana was served attractively and was flavorfully delicious. My second experience dining here. I will go back as often as possible.
Green salsa✅️ red salsa✅️ breakfast✅️ carne guisada✅️ I'm working my way through the menu, and so far EVERYTHING has been great!
I love the breakfast here. I get the Huevos divorciados. Which means Divorced Eggs. Haha. Since I can’t make up my mind which sauce i like best. I get to sample the red AND the green. A great value for the price. See y’all here.
The food was delicious and hot served with charro beans, guacamole. Nice place to eat for Authentic Mexican food. I will go back.
Chimichanga was delish and burrito de lengua made as requested.

Good prices and good food. I got breakfast to go. I will have to return to try the dinner menu.
Man I stopped in that place today because I had a craving for Caldo de res, Oh my God It was Magnificent.. it was soooo good I might stop and get another large on my way home from work. The cook did and excellent job with this recipe. The whole Staff was nice and greeted me at the door when I came in . I plan to try more of their meals, I hope I can always catch that same cook. I highly recommend this place, I would love for this restaurant to always be around because I’m going to be a new regular.. Thank you ladies at El Patron

Food was good. Got tacos and gorditas for co-workers and a giant quesadilla for myself. Only complaint is that I was unable to finish my meal cause it was of the generous meat portions.
Place has a friendly atmosphere, very helpful front counter, affordable pricing and the food was real good definitely worth stopping in.

If you can find it. It's very good and reasonable.i live in Katy but I would travel all the way to The north east Houston for a good meal .
usually go on Friday at lunch. the ladies working there are always friendly. and the food is good
I have been coming to the restaurant for many years. The food tastes really good, especially the beef fajita tacos, tortas, and chicken soup. The parking is convenient and wheelchair accessible. They also have a drive thru, and you can also call ahead of time to place an order to go.

Chili con queso is out of a can and chips are store bought. Menudo was lukewarm and service a bit slow.
Kinda hole in the wall place. Food is good enough but not great. Service is good. Prices are average.
Didn't like the salsa.. they bring to table with chips. The salsa was warm instead of cold. We prefer thin warm chips with cold salsa. The salsa wasn't spicy at all and had raw onions which i hate. The chips were really thick. We ordered beef & chicken fajitas. We didn't care for either of them. They definitely lacked flavor & seasoning. Didn't taste like were flame broiled or even grilled on a hot flat grill. We've been here a few times over last few yrs when traveling & this was our worst experience.
The food was average. The guacamole was strange: it had a sweet flavor to it and was a little runny. My entrée had chicken fajita enchiladas that were dry and over salted and refried beans. Does any cook taste their food during prep any more? I don’t think I will be coming here again.

The over medium eggs, beans and coffee were good. But, the tortillas were store bought, the papas guisadas had a funny taste (almost spoiled) and it was too hot in there. We went a few times many years ago when it was El Alteño and it was hot back then, so I guess they haven't improved the ac unit or weatherproofed the building.
I hate how they fold breakfast tacos with cheese all in the wrapper. They only give 4 tortillas for 1lb of Barbacoa. It's eh.
Okay so let’s start here the food “tacos” 10/10. Very delicious 🤤 packed with flavor I got corn tortillas and a total of 3 tacos 🌮 barbacoa, beef fajita, and one chicken with grilled onions and cilantro 🌿 all the meat was tender again super good I have no complaints with the food, However I do have a concern with paying for your tab here. Now I was here yesterday with my sister and this was our first time trying this place so when we were done eating she paid her tab her total was 25.23 this place charged her 30.00 and the lady said she still owed 0.23 my sister showed me where they took the money from her account which was 30.00 I’m not sure how that happened let alone she still owe 0.23 cents but so told the lady I’ll pay for it on my tab and she said no she couldn’t add it to my tab and she was getting all bent out of shape over 0.23 so she told me if I give you “me” 0.23 then leave me a tip for the 0.23 cents back was like okay I guess so I’m confused at this point but I pay and leave a 2.00 tip I wanted to leave more but there was just to much going on at this point so that was my experience 🤷🏽♂️

This restaurant is down the street from my home, my son just had open heart surgery and stopped by the house for more clothing while he was inpatient at the hospital & I decided to order food to take to the hospital to eat. As I was almost getting to the hospital I got a call that they put gorditas in my bag (which I did not order) and if I could take back. I was not about to drive all the way back when my main priority was to hurry back to hospital with my baby. Weeks went by and I went to eat here again and the lady at the register wanted to charge me for the Gorditas she put in my bag since I never came back to return them. I told her nicely, how was I going to be charged for something I didn’t even order or made the mistake. And she said I had to pay since I ate them, which I swear I didn’t even eat them (I don’t even eat meat) and she laughed and said ohh so I trashed them, which unfortunately I did have to. This was very unprofessional coming from someone that owns her own food business. The food here is so delicious but I won’t return because of this, I been going through the most with my baby then to have to come across a lady with bad customer service like this. Which I’m guessing she’s even the owner
Food is tasteful. But that older lady in drive thru ugh! So unprofessional and rude. Manager is cool though spoke to him. . Coffee is alright . Tacos are good. But with service like that I'll take my money elsewhere! ..
Food is not very tasty. The fajitas did not have a good flavor and they messed up our to go order. You only get chips if you spend $30 or more, my total was $28. Gorditas are good and cheesy but they didn’t put the meats that were requested. Save yourself some money and go somewhere more delicious and friendly.

Beer was hot and $$. Food need to be updated to fresher standards and portions. Food(sauce&beans) tasted as if it came from can and frozen, rice is standard, no taste and over cooked. They have the right idea but the cook/s got to go or take a Mexican FOOD CRAWL in houston. Also Would be nice if it had a open flame mesquite grill pit. Oppps gave it away. Would go back to try other items. Millanesa plate was if it was fried in 5day old oil, beans are can refry and fried again in oil.Table Ketchup is unknown brand/ sweet. They can do better. Love to see some changes due to its location to me also the rail and chemical plants. VERY PROMISING LOCATION with the right help it can be AWESOME.
Very bad service do not waste your money on this, the owners are rude and always getting after their employees in-front of the customers, you can't eat right, the food tastes weird. Among other things.
Didn't even get to order wasted my time driving out to this location of tacos because they lack card payment and horrible drive thru service don't come here at all
Don’t bother wasting your time trying this place , owners are extremely rude and had a bad experience here . Very unprofessional and unclean I’m surprised at the fact that health inspectors haven’t been involved at this place . I came to this place to eat with my family and we couldn’t finish our food all we kept seeing was little critters running around the floor or dead critters 🤢and owner was aware because he would send his employees to take care of it in-front of customers
no margaritas and the hostess/server was rude and acted like we were an inconvenience being there so we left
