Super small and quaint. The food is AMAZING, truly. You'd never know it by just walking by or just looking at the menu. We will be back again tomorrow. It's that good.
i came here with my friend to celebrate her birthday, and we had such a good time! we sat at the beautiful bar and split mussels for an appetizer that were absolutely delicious. i had pesto pasta for my dinner, and she had bolognese that she adored. the servers were incredibly friendly and did a marvelous job. i asked our waitress at the end of our dinner if she could put a birthday candle into our dessert to surprise my friend, and they did not disappoint. i highly recommend celebrating birthdays here. the "candle" was more like a firework, and they turned the lights off in the restaurant as they delivered dessert and sang happy birthday. we both had a great time, and will certainly be back!!!!!
Picked this italian eatery based on its location and it was a lovely experience. I would have to rate it highly regardless of the food since the staff was kind enough to let my companion and I sit there for hours (nearly 4) chatting away without buying anything close to 4 hours worth of food. They were attentive but we never felt pressured to order more or to leave so that was wonderful. The decor is intimate and inviting, as others have said, it'd be a great date night locale. We don't have any mobility issues but this wouldn't be an ideal spot for anyone that isn't comfortable sitting on stools for a long time and potentially being elbow to elbow with other patrons. I went with the truffle gnocchi special and loved it. It was a generous portion, had great textures, a nice amount of truffle flavor and truffle and was an ode to cheese. Not sure if it's been reimagined since other reviewers tried it but it was definitely a hit today. The shrimp rigatoni was also appreciated and our wines were tasty. I was surprised they don't do any coffee at all (so we got more wine instead), but that would be a welcome addition to the menu.
Bricola is a cozy classy gem in my neighborhood, which I highly recommend, with a warm, proud staff, a formidable wine selection and great food. Pictured is the steak, a special that day which was excellent. Bricola can be easy on the wallet (which may not seem obvious at a casual glance) if you choose, but the wine and desserts are too tempting to be constrained by frugality. Especially their cheesecake. Many many thanks to Liubov for inviting me in all those months back. I hope to become a regular.
Me and my best friend stopped in here because I recognized it from it’s Harlem location. We stayed and yapped for hours while sharing a Caesar salad, wine and lasagna. Everything was incredible and the service was superb, highly recommend!
I really like the design if this place. Friendly staff helping you with your selection of food and wine also added to the experience. I'm not all that familiar with Mac and cheese so I thought, if I'm gonna try it, I might as well try in in a good restaurant, known for making a killer version of this well known comfort food. Not disappointed, the Mac n cheese with black truffle out of the oven was to die for, really good experience. The risotto was also great!
My husband and I came here on a recommendation and we will be coming back. The attentiveness and friendliness was amazing. The food was amazing as well, we had a lot to eat but decided to have the risotto entree and finished it, it was delicious!
Nice wine bar with a good selection of wines and a surprisingly vast selection of tasty small plates. Can be a bit tight seating-wise. Bartenders are very friendly. Edit: been back here a few more times and it's my favorite place in Hell's Kitchen. I'm actually a big fan of all of the Passons' places, their food is consistently top notch and their places and very well run.
This is such a beautiful, intimate and well kept restaurant, we sat outside on the street since it was warm outside and the staff were so attentive though it was busy, and the lights outside looked really good. We will definitely visit here again. 100% recommended. Amazing selection of wines. Some of the best Lobster Ravioli. 5 stars. Thank you for having us.
The lamb ragu was rich and delicious. The wine pairing our waitress suggested was perfect.
Very intimate and cozy dining experience with incredible food and even better service. Sara went above and beyond for our 10yr anniversary and made the night even more special. Will 100% be coming back!
Briciola Restaurant is an absolute gem! My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed. The charcuterie board they offer is a work of art - a delightful assortment of cheeses, cured meats, and perfectly paired accompaniments. Each bite was a flavor explosion! But what truly sets Briciola apart is their top-notch staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt like a valued guest. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and provided attentive service throughout the evening. To top it off, the prices were incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Briciola has become my go-to spot for an exquisite dining experience that won’t break the bank. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings. Highly recommended! 🍽️👏
My friend just came back from Italy and decided we should catch up at Briciola. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and the waiters were pleasant. We started with wine which are very delicious but I wish they let us taste it before bringing the glasses it’s a wine bar, I don’t think that would be much. The food were delicious and for me the lamb shank risotto was delicious. A place to be but will advise you ask for a taste when selecting your wine.
Small restaurant with good service and even better food! We sat at the bar and the hostess was kind to turn on the heat since we sat near the door. The octopus salad and seafood pasta she recommended were delicious. Terrific meal before our Broadway show.
Yesterday we came as a party of 5 sitting inside and everyone and everything was fantastic! Food was on point, desserts and wine also amazing. We had all the recommendations given to us and special desserts and I cannot choose which dish I liked the most. Alissa our server was the cherry on top, she checked on us at the right times and made us feel like home. Thank you and we will definitely be coming back!!
Tiny wine bar. Seating at the bar and at a long thin communal table. We advised that we were pretty theater and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We had burrata and prosciutto to start. The tagliatelle and bolognase was very good. The staff was both efficient and friendly Would go there again without a secondthought
Truly a hidden gem. This good was incredible and you will leave here feeling stuffed. We ordered everything off the specials menu. Started with the grilled octopus salad app watch was perfectly cooked, truffle gnocchi which was melt in your mouth delicious, and the lamb shank with an herb risotto. The risotto by itself was ok but paired with the lamb and the sauce, it was the perfect compliment. The seafood risotto was also very good. Cute and cozy vibes, the GM Mark took very good care of us. We will absolutely be back.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Briciola, an exquisite restaurant closed to Lincoln Center and Broadway. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, staff attentive. I seated at the communal table and had a great time chatting with people sitting next to me. I started with octopus salad. For the main course, I opted for the Fettuccine ai Funghi. Every bite was a harmonious blend of savory flavors, and the portion size was generous. For the dessert, I couldn’t resist trying the tiramisu. It was the perfect finale to a satisfying dining experience.
We ate at Bricola for a light and late dinner. We had the Tuna Tartare, Cheese and Meat Platter and the Tiramisu. All were excellent and the restaurant had a very charming and cozy atmosphere. We really appreciated being able to find somewhere still taking orders and serving just after 11pm - our connecting flight out of JFK was canceled and we were unexpectedly in New York for the evening. Recommend and would return.
We spotted this place on a stroll through Hell’s Kitchen and liked the menu and setting so we booked a table. It’s quite a small place with a shared high table inside, seats at the bar and a number of covered tables outside. We sat inside at the shared table. There’s a nice calm and relaxing ambience inside. We originally intended to explore the Cichetti menu, but they had a great selection of specials including Octopus salad and Branzino which caught our attention. We ordered these along with crab and shrimp cake. Food was delicious, especially the Octopus salad. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. They have a nice selection of Italian wine to complement the food. We really enjoyed our meal and evening and will definitely return on our next trip to NYC.
traditional italian! we came for the Carpacio that we love, but they only serve it in the summer, a pity! the prosciutto is very good!! but don't forget to try the Gnocchi with truffle sauce! It's amazing, definitely the best I've ever had! it's really worth the experience and certainly the best cost benefit of Italian food in NY
A fantastic little Italian restaurant on the corner of the street in Hell’s Kitchen area. I originally found this restaurant on TikTok before traveling from the UK and pre-booked. We are at around 5pm and by 6 the outside seating was full with a lovely family friendly atmosphere. The menu was generous and greatly priced, with daily specials being offered for plenty of choice. The inside wine collection is also incredible.
A real gem of a place in Hell’s Kitchen. It’s really small inside so the outside seating is a real boon. It’s not much for decor but the food is great and our server was really friendly. We started with grilled eggplant with goat cheese. Super tasty, and quite filling. Next we had scampi with roasted garlic and olive oil. Big scampis with lots of olive oil for bread dipping. The caesar salad had lots of fresh grated cheese and anchovies. We tried 4 pastas for sharing. My favourites were the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the special lobster ravioli. The Linguine Vongole was nice and light. The Rapini was a bit plain, not as good as our other dishes. Prices were quite reasonable and portions generous. Our party of four was very full after our meal. It’s definitely worth a return visit. Drop me a comment or a like if you found this helpful.
It’s a small place but the flavors are huge! Sarah thank you so much for your great service and kindness. The wines you serves us were amazing. Can’t wait to come back!!
We arrived and we’re seated at a wonderful table by the window, we heard the incredible specials and we’re blown away. We wanted to order all of them. These were two of the specials with the substitution that they gave us because we didn’t need pork. The meal was incredible, and the service was terrific. 10 out of 10 I would definitely eat here again.
I am forever grateful for this recommendation. What a gem!! I keep going back here for the food and such friendly staff! Feels like such a nice, cozy oasis/getaway in Hell’s Kitchen. I am that person that will always order the same thing, but had to try their latest special! Veal chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus in a mushroom sauce. YUMMMMM! Run don’t walk while it’s on the menu. Also always order the following starters: eggplant goat cheese, lamp chop lollipops, warm octopus salad.. actually just order everything on the appetizers menu. You won’t regret it!!!
Briciola is one of my fave spots in the city for its overall good/service/atmosphere combo. I like the community style table although it is a bit cramped. But they always have specials, staff are patient and friendly, and I have never felt rushed here. Their cheesecake is YUMMY- they creme brulee the top for a crunch and smoky/caramel flavor and serve it with vanilla ice cream. I highly suggest their sparkling red wine if you like something sweeter; it's one of my fave wines! Their octopus was cooked well and the pastas are always well-seasoned. A little expensive (especially for the size) but I still enjoy my time there
A very traditional and worthwhile selection of Italian dishes. The price is perfect. Meatball is impressive to me. The cheesecake is worth mentioning! The cheese they used was very unique, fresh, and suitable. I was very impressed. I believe that this cheesecake has no competition at the same or double price point.
Had such a great time at Briciola. No rush, very attentive bartender, shoutout to Lou (Liu?), the lovely Russian girl! Fun crowd at the bar, we even celebrated a few birthdays together!
Small but cozy, with incredible food! The pasta was delicious (I had the ragu special) and finished it off with the chocolate soufflé - yum! Went before a show and the food came out quickly, which was an added plus
We had a great meal! The food was delicious, ambience was pleasant and nice! I had lamb ragu and it was out of this world! Our server was Sara and she was incredible! Very professional and kind. Definitely coming back!
Everything we had today was from the specials menu. We started with a zucchini soup and mango goat cheese salad. The two risottos of the day were duck leg and lamb shank. When asked about a meat/poultry-free option, they offered us a delectable mushroom risotto. In need of caffeine, I asked after an espresso and they actually went across the street and brought me a freshly made cup with a rock or sugar. The staff were incredibly attentive, and we felt very welcomed at the counter. 10/10 would happily go again.
Food and service were fantastic. The gnocchi was one of the best I’ve had, and the eggplant appetizer and ricotta cheesecake were great too. Each dish was rich and flavorful without being too heavy. The only problem I had was the seats were not very comfortable, luckily it wasn’t too busy when we went but if full there would not be a lot of elbow room as you’re all sat at a table with bar stools on either side. Overall, a very nice meal and evening.
This is our go-to Italian restaurant around Hell’s Kitchen. We love the special menu every time. Our favorites would be the octopus salad, lamb risotto, and meatball spaghetti. We also could not miss the tiramisu. We really enjoy the amazing service and energetic crew here
Absolutely loved this Italian restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce tasted authentic and rich. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both a casual dinner and a special night out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Service was quick without feeling rushed. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend if you’re craving great Italian food! Lou & Jc. Were amazing!!
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that they care about quality and taste. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. A special thank you to our waitress, Sara, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout the entire evening. She made sure we were comfortable, checked on us regularly, and gave us great recommendations. Overall, we are very satisfied with both the food and the service. Sara, we were very pleased with your service — thank you for taking such great care of us!
Small, busy spot with a great vibe. The team really works together, and the service felt attentive and professional. Loved the communal table — we ended up meeting some really cool people. Great energy and solid food. Would definitely come back.
This is an intimate place where you’ll cozy up to your neighbors. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was amazing! Fresh and perfect amounts. For one appetizer, two pasta dishes, and a glass of wine (plus taxes and a tip) we spent just around $100. Since it is small, and amazing, make a reservation!!
Sara was amazing, she made amazing recommendations and we had the best food ever!! Would definitely recommend. I had the mac and cheese truffle and we had the mango arugula salad to share with friends! I made a reservation in advance since it is a popular place!
We love this place. Everytime we’re fortunate to find ourselves in manhattan, this is a must stop in our travel plans. It’s so good! And this time, we had our young son with us and the staff were so accommodating to his food interests. The seating is awesome, community style, so you get to meet other folks and we love it. Thank you again and look forward to seeing everyone again next time we’re there!
Briciola is really, really tiny, and incredibly charming. Just a few seats at the bar, plus a communal table in the room next door, surrounded by wine bottles stacked from floor to ceiling. It’s one of my favorite places in New York to go for a drink before the theater, after work, or simply to unwind. I was there with colleagues this time, and the atmosphere was exactly what you hope for in a spot like this: warm, intimate, and relaxed. The food is excellent. Truly excellent. We had homemade pasta with burrata and bruschetta with mushrooms and cheese, and everything was spot on. The only minor downside was the service, which felt a bit too pushy. We barely had time to look at the menu before being asked repeatedly if we were ready to order. That said, it felt well intentioned. Despite that, this is still an easy five stars for me and a place I keep coming back to.
Incredible experience at Briciola. Our server Lu deserves extra five stars alone. Super professional, genuinely warm and attentive, and she knew exactly what to recommend from the menu and the wine list. The steak was cooked perfectly, very flavorful and tender, and the wine pairing was spot on. Cozy, intimate atmosphere, great music and relaxed vibe. Perfect place for a date night or dinner with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to everyone.
Perfect place for a meal solo, as a couple, or with a group. I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad drink here. The place is teeny tiny, with just a bar and one communal high top, so not the place if you’re shy or need personal space. (Although if the weather cooperates, there’s a bit of outdoor seating that’s more private.) Service is great, and meal never feels rushed. It can get VERY busy, so make a reservation or go early.
Great service, not your typical Italian in NY so it's definitely worth a visit if you're after something a little different. Mushroom bruschetta is a nice way to start the meal. Both pastas we ordered were good (Mac and cheese with gnocchi and salissicia). Definitely worth another visit!
We came here after seeing a play nearby, and they had comfortable outdoor seating available straight away. Staff were lovely and very attentive, and we really enjoyed the meat & cheese board, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Caprese salad. The tiramisu was delicious and chocolatey. They have a nice wine selection available.
SCRUMPTIOUS food! It’s one of those places that not only everything on the menu is mind blowing-ly delicious but it’s also one of those places that the service is the main reason to come back! For dessert, get the chocolate soufflé (seriously, might sound basic and not authentic but they have, hands down, the best lava cake in entire nyc). The only (big) issue for me is the shared seating, I’m not the type that feels comfortable rubbing elbows with strangers and have meals while the couple 5 inches from me talking about their relationship. Gladly was still summer and there were tables outside.
Found this cute little spot on W 51st walking distance from the Winter Garden Broadway Theater. Stopping in for a small plates experience before our show. Service was great, food excellent, and our server was very attentive and pleasant. Definitely recommend the Bristecca over arugula too.
Came here twice. Tried multiple things of the menu, everything was 12/10. The grilled octopus warm salad is “to die for”. Rose wine was amazing, cocktails are amazing… Service? 15/10. Lu deserves everything she can get. No fakeness, genuine good personality with genuine good vibes. If there is only one place in Hells Kitchen that I would go to every single day, it would be Briciola.
First time here based on a recommendation and glad we took the advice. The food and service were excellent. The linguine with clams was one of the best I have ever had. The crab cakes and lobster ravioli were also very good! Nice wine selection but bottles could benefit from some light chilling/temperature control. Overall very happy!

Great service and food! We sat outside on a beautiful day (shady side of the street). I had the truffle Mac and cheese and a good house wine, husband had the lasagna, both very good.
This establishment won my heart. I ate there every night for my stay in NY. Cannot recommend this place enough. Food was prepared perfectly and good wine selection. A perfect gem!

Great service, LOVED the octopus salad!!! The spaghetti with meatballs was way too salty, but delicious. Wish they didn't make it so salty. On the other hand, the truffle gnocchi was pricey and nothing special about it but that it tasted like gnocchi with lots of cheese and cream. We went at about 4:30, but it started getting really crowded, sitting elbow to elbow with strangers, nowhere to put purse. The meal felt overpriced for what it really was. The octopus salad was the only thing that I might want from what we ate here.
On one hand, food very good and nice atmosphere. Impressive how it is all managed from one tiny kitchen. Server was a bit intense and some odd person greeted us at the door (who wasn’t an employee but presumably knew the owner / employees), which took away from the night a bit and made us slightly uncomfortable.
Layout/atmosphere *Bar area immediately to left of entrance; dining room with one long, high table; bottles of wine in racks on both walls; waiters in denim aprons; tables on sidewalk; enclosed dining structure on 51 Street Service *Good Food/drink *Complimentary bread with oil & balsamic glaze - Good; bread was toasted, similar to ciabatta *Burrata with prosciutto & tomato - Good *Tortelloni d’Aragosta (Lobster Ravioli, Pink Sauce) - Good; vodka sauce style *Skirt steak with toasted potatoes & arugula (daily special) - Good; tender *Sauvignon Blanc (house) - OK *Ricotta cheesecake (with vanilla ice cream & strawberries) - good; crème brûlée treatment to top layer; solid graham cracker crust
Had the black truffle gnocchi and lobster ravioli. Gnocchi were a little too stiff/dry for me but the flavors on the sauce were good. Lobster ravioli flavor was good and the lobster played well with the vodka sauce. The pasta was a little thicker then i like, but not bad. I've had better here in NYC but if you're from somewhere else this will be better then most Italian places you've eaten.
The service was quick, and I appreciated the variety of seating options—you can choose between dining outdoors, at the bar, or at a communal table. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the wine selection was exquisite. My only complaint is the cooking of the pasta; it was slightly overcooked, and given that it was a fungi dish, a more precise texture would have been ideal. However, the flavor was very good overall.
Came here with two friends because one of them visited before and loved it. There is an outside area, a bar area, and a dining area. The dining area is small and the bar area decor is casual. The ambiance really does make me think I’m in Italy. It’s cozy and I do feel that you can spend a lot of time here. I would keep in mind that the area by the bar is a bit narrow and the dining room is a bit small as well. We had Alex as our server and he was very friendly. I had an Aperol spritz. It personally wasn’t my favorite. My appetizer was the lamb chops and my gosh. These lamb chops were amazing! For our mains, we ordered the special lamb shank risotto, I ordered the Rigatoni e Gamberi, and Steak special. I wanted to order the Lamb, but since I’m not a mashed potato eater I couldn’t get it. The lamb was DELICIOUS! I also liked my friend's steak. When it came to my Rigatoni, it was a bit dry and lackluster. I was a bit sad. We finished with the Tiramisu and it was delicious! In all, I feel like Briciola excels with their meat-based meals. I would recommend this as a casual date whether it be with friends or a significant other. I see so many good reviews on the pasta, so I wouldn’t mind trying it again.
Went here in a whim for a late lunch with my daughter. The full restaurant seating isn’t available until near dinner time but the counter seating with prompt, friendly greetings added to the experience. Everything was really tasty served piping hot. Then only thing I missed was not being able to order pizza for lunch but the bruschetta was close enough and certainly enjoyed. If your in the Hell’s Kitchen area, I’d recommend this place with enthusiasm. Great value!
Great atmosphere and service. Nice mix of Italian food and wine. The food is okay, not great. For example, the gnocchi was very salty, the burrata was okay, and the bread served was mediocre. The tiramisu was okay not great as well. Over all a nice experience but nothing to write home about.
3.75 stars. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice. The cheese and bread plate left us desiring something a bit more. They were unfortunately out of our top two wine choices. Food was tasty but fairly run of the mill. The indoor seating with wood and exposed brick was very cute. Great little date spot.
Great local Great Italian authentic food. Very fairly priced Loved the original family style formula in a tight space Russian waitress coulda been more friendly tbh But pretty damn good 👍
Came here with a party of 3 for a pre-theater dinner. We had a reservation that we had to change the time twice for since we were running late, and they were very accommodating. Service was very fa…
We ordered the mango salad, burrata with tomato, and skirt steak. The mango salad was so good, with thinly sliced mango paired with kale and a balsamic dressing. I usually don't enjoy mango i…
I sat at the bar and had many hiccups... dirty wineglass, caesar salad overpowered by anchovies and the truffle gnocchi pasta was very underwhelming. The fruit flies drove me crazy and I was here in October couldn’t imagine the summer months. No complaints about the wine and bread/oil /vinegar. Very Walkable from Times Square which I found convenient.
The food was really good and they give you a heavy pour when you order wine, but the staff was pretty rude. We walked in on a Wednesday night and after an hour we were told to hurry up by the hostess because there were people waiting. A few minutes later, the waitress walked over and yelled at us “we told you an hour!” Not only was it extremely rude, but it also wasn’t true. We were not given a time limit when we walked in. It was only after we paid and were finishing our wine that we were rushed out. So unfortunately we will not be returning.
Thanks again to social media for finding us this spot! ATMOSPHERE: The place is super tiny. There's bar seating along with a sliver of a counter for drinks only. There's a separated room which has more tables but not by much. The place is decorated very intimately with brick floors and walls. MENU: Traditional Italian. FOOD: Mista e Pere Salad AKA salad with thinly sliced pears. Nice & refreshing choice. Burrata Special Fresh prosciutto and a ball of fresh mozzarella on top and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Simply delish. Fettuccine Ai Funghi Homemade pasta in a light cream sauce and topped with fresh parsley. I'm not a fan of homemade pasta as I've never had it cooked perfect. This time around the pasta was a little underdone and had a dry, coarse texture. The taste was good and the portion pretty small. All the pastas were listed at $12.50. I'd rather pay more to receive more. SERVICE: The 3-in-one male bartender/waiter/bus boy was friendly & professional. He could've been the owner or manager of the place from what I got. OVERALL: Good price, small portioned entrees, and open late.
Tight spot. We were seated at a long table with other families. The food was okay, but not outstanding. Two plates were not clean. We would not return.

Good food, disappointing service tonight. My boyfriend and I went here before a broadway play and made a reservation well in advance. When we arrived at 5 pm, the restaurant was almost empty, but t…
I had the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe which was only OK. The texture of the pasta did not taste very fresh in my opinion and there was not much flavor in the dish. I would not get this dish again. My friend got the fettuccine with wild mushrooms and truffle oil and that dish was much better than the orecchiette due to more sauce and more flavoring. The bread they gave us at the start seemed old and not fresh. Service was fine. The ambiance of the place is dark, some lighting and diners share one long table which could be awkward if you want more privacy to talk to whoever you're eating with. It could be more of a communal feel if you’re into that.
Yeah I don’t know if the other reviewers actually ate at this restaurant or if we just ordered the wrong things, but I would not come here again. There is one long table for the dining room, which we knew ahead of time, but they sit you right next to diners despite the table being mostly empty. The food we got was made by chef boyardee and that’s generous. All that said, the service was very good. The waitress was quick and everyone was polite. I wish I could give this a better rating because of how great the service was but the food and dining situation just were not it.
Really enjoyed the food the first time I went and wanted to go back. Made reservation for the bar for 8pm- they had us wait for like 10 min if we wanted the bar seats that we had on our reservatio…
We did take-away with Uber Eats and the food was nothing like the pictures... The taste was bad, the quantity was not enough, the presentation was ugly as hell. For such a price (50$ for 2 pasta an…
NOTE*** This rating applied to meal delivered from Briciola... I visited New York in July with family. One particular evening I decided to remain in our suite at the Hilton Vacation Club on West 57th St. and order a meal from a nearby restaurant. After scouring a vast variety of places, I decided upon the well-reviewed BRICIOLA. The menu had an extensive variety of untraditional meal options that were tantalizing and left me excited and giddy as a school girl to try. I started my meal with the Caprese Salad, followed by Linguine with Clams, and ending with Cheesecake. Although pricey compared to Florida standards; I was in New York (meal, tip, and fees - $65). I was more than willing to pay this because the photos I saw on the review told me it would be more than worth it to enjoy such a fabulous meal. What I received, by delivery, was far, far less than I expected. The tomatoes on the salad were very mushy, almost if they had been frozen and thawed or left refrigerated too long. The linguine .... (see for yourself in the photos attached... There is a review photo of this dish on Oct. 2021 by Karen N that reflects what this dish should have looked like). The cheesecake was as small as the tiny fork which came with it and basic. Taste wise, it was a huge disappointment. Briciola seems to have separate standards for the food they put out depending if it is dine in or delivery. My rating is for delivered Bricioa meal/ As I did not try the dine in, it would be unfair of me to rate the full venue.
I usually love this place I come all the time with friends but today really disappointing I know there’s a time the kitchen closes but I called and one girl working Friday night told me we close kitchen in 20 minutes if you arrive before that and order right away that’s ok. Then me and my friends take an uber to get there arrived less than 10 minutes after the call and a waiter and girl behind the bar tell me sorry we’re closed and i reiterate I called and they said I could come in and as I’m walking out after saying nonstop “we’re closed” they said something but I was too pissed off to stay I understand there’s a closing time but then don’t tell me come in and then “we’re closed”
Extremely rude server/bar lady!!! She sarted shouting the specials at me as soon as sat down in this cramped little bar area. She told me that I have another reservation so you need to order now!! She ruined everyone's dinner sitting down at the bar. Who would be that stupid to hire someone like that to run a restaurant?Complete trash!!!
