As always a lovely warm atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. Unfortunately today my latte tasted rather 'foisty' and so I requested a refund for this. I'm still giving 5 stars though as this is the first time I have had any sort of issue at this particular branch of Costa.

The rateing is for the lovely staff the service they provided. This is for the management where is the air con in Costa for the staff how can they work in those conditions without air conditioning. They managed to smile all the way through serving us. Management get some air con in or buy some fans appreciate your staff.

Ordered cappuccino, but I didn't liked it, as too bitter and strong for my taste, barista changed it for much better one as per her recommendations and for free. Thank you, very pleased for free exchange and hospitality

Was having a kinda bad morning and called in for comfort food on my to work, had lovely service. Even through they couldn't make the drink I wanted due to lack of an ingredient , I was recommended an alternative that I enjoyed even more :)

Again, it is a franchise. What you want from a franchise is for it to be pretty much like the last one you were in. This place delivers. The staff are polite, the seating what you expect and they tolerate long stays.

When this was open I used to have hot chocolate from here it tasted really good and the atmosphere was busy i can't comment on food because I didn't buy any.

Been to this Costa quite a few times and it’s always ran smoothly. Gerald and Lori (hope I got names right) were like a well oiled machine today on tills and drinks duty. Food as ever was lovely, just wish they had a few more comfy chairs up front instead of the bench. Will definitely come back for a shopping rest.

Nice coffee friendly staff but slow service

So today I visited Costa broadway , after having a bad experience with the standard of the drinks previously and writing this in a review , I feel I need to write a positive review today , the coffee and other drinks standard was a lot better than my previous visit , Rachel was superb in serving us along with the other staff.

The coffee when it's made right can be an absolute joy to drink it's silky smooth and moreish however recently Costa coffee in foster square Bradford have had a fly problem, well problem is an understatement it was an infestation and the coffee that was being made was not tasty or nice at all it tastes like off milk with rotten beans added to it. The lady making the coffee seemed new to the place and did not fully seem to know what she was doing. This particular visit fell way below standard and left me frankly disappointed.

I don't visit Costa Coffee much but apart from the fact that they need an extra pair of hands at the counter at all times as people are waiting too long i have no complaints the food menu is limited but they do nice varied drinks and lovely different flavoured lattes and it is a coffee shop after all.

A mid size Costa with an assortment of sofas and table and chairs seating. A busy, but well run store that has a good product availability.

My experience was great during my visit to this Costa, as I was acknowledged and served pretty quickly. It was early morning and not many customers instore, and there were ample amounts of seating to choose from. My latte was nice, hot and well made. I treated myself to a slice of the strawberry sponge cake which tasted fresh, but it could have been cut slightly bigger for the price. Apart from that, I had no issues with my overall experience today and the 2 ladies serving was friendly, polite and attentive.

Costa Coffee, also known as "costa lot". Yes it's a bit pricey but you know what you're getting. The hot drinks were served in takeaway cups when we were there. Not sure why. I got a ham and cheese toastie and a chocolate twist to finish. Nice little shop, good choice of sweets and savouries.

Can't go wrong with a Costa and Carrot cake on a dull day. Store has a good selection of cakes/biscuits on a daily basis. Large space to accommodate a few people and a private area that is not so noisy if needed. Store is in the Broadway shopping centre, easy reach if out and about shopping.

For some reason it is closed today at 5pm, not good when there aren't that many places to eat in Broadway now, apart from takeaway food and some of us don't want that.

Bit tight for space if you have a walker or wheelchair and buggy but friendly staff and nice coffee

Went to Coats coffer in Bradforf shopping Mal . Only one person serving and one making coffee. It was so so busy . Had to have take away cupd as there dishwasher was broke .]Can no one wash up.Bad service Bradford.

The standard of coffee was pretty much guaranteed which is why we chose Costa. The cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired. The tables weren't cleared fast enough which is a problem in a busy shop like this because you can't sit down safely till its cleared and cleaned. Patrons were sitting at tables not meant to be in use and nothing was said. The toilets were OK. Although in a gender open facility the toilet seat was left up and I didn't want to touch it to bring it back down. Especially as there we're no toilet cleaning facilities on view so I couldn't clean before or after I used and the same for the person in front of me. Not very hygienic right now. I won't be back any time soon!

I've walked out without a coffee more times than I have with. Service is incredibly slow and there is never any apology for the wait. I've seen other Costas manage similar business levels with less staff, much better for instance the shipley branch. The coffee is generally good.

Every unoccupied table had dirty cups, glasses and crockery, the queue was long and only one person making drinks. The saving grace us the drinks were good when we got them. Eventually after a few comments the tables were cleared, but, first impressions and all that.

I love the coffee at Costa, and the selection of sandwiches and cakes is great. I always find the staff really helpful. The reason why I've docked 2 stars is that the tables were grubby and needed cleaning.

My 7 yr was eating a sandwich, at costa coffee in Broadway Bradford, the waitress rudely told us off, to pick up our rubbish b4 we leave. We never leave a mess anywhere we go. This really upset and embarrassed myself & my son

A very nice place to have a Costa coffee in a lovely place in the centre of the city shopping centre. Serving a good selection of various refreshments and a good selection of various meals. Pleasant atmosphere with a warm welcome and good service.

Plenty of seats. Plenty of food available. The barista appeared distracted despite the number of people in the queue. I had a emmental and mushroom toastie which was very nice and asked for a knife to cut it with and was given a plastic knife. This snapped on the first cut. Being a city centre I assumed it was combatting knife crime. Later, when I commented to a member of staff, it was due to the fact that they hadn't washed any metal knives up. Oh dear, the distraction of the Barista and insufficient cutlery in a busy coffee shop doesn't bode well. I should say that the cappuccino and the toastie were both excellent and my table was clean which was the purpose of going in.

Busy, noisy. Staff found it hard to hear order details correctly, so I ended up with a skinny cappuccino instead of a soya milk cappuccino

Asked for drink in, got it in take away cup. She just transferred it to a cup after. Asked for white coffee, got it black. Little communication between person taking order and barista

Went in Friday around lunch time. Staff working behind the counter were fantastic. While I was waiting, I'd spied a free table which I intended to sit at. It had the previous customers cups etc on it. A member of staff walked over to it, pushed in the chairs and ignored the mess on the table and instead proceeded to have a chat with someone she knew sat nearby. I walked over to said table and asked the staff member if it's ok I sit there, she gave me a dirt look and said yes. I sat down but forgot sugar. Due to bad knees and a very wobbly table, as I stood up and caused my coffee to spill all over the table and floor. I asked the staff member for a cloth, so I could clean up the mess I'd caused. She passed me some blue paper towels accompanied by another dirty look, coz how dare I interrupt her having a personal conversation while she's working. I settled in to enjoy my coffee and lunch. Same staff member finished her conversation, gave me another dirty look and then proceeded to go talk to another acquaintance, all the while the other staff are working the behinds off.

Love it when the barista burns and over froths my milk. Either they are completely careless or have 0 clue about how to make a flat white. I understand Costa is a chain and care more about making money than serving quality drinks, but when in a pinch it would be nice to at-least get a half decent coffee, which is perhaps achievable if staff knew what they were doing

It's always really hot in this store for some reason. Also, four staff on duty but the queue was moving very slowly, only one staff member making drinks, and he spent time having a conversation with other customers when I was waiting to order. Not impressed

Not the best experience. Whilst the place was clean and not overly busy, staff were chatting to the point of distraction. The young lady serving us was great, bubbly and smiling as she took our order. As I wear a face mask I understand it can make communication hard but she repeated our order back to us to get everything right. She was awesome... Unfortunately the young man making the drinks was busy chatting to another employee rather than pay attention to his job. First he got the drink order of the man in front of us wrong (american ordered, cappuccino made) then he failed to even make, let alone add our extra espresso shots to our drink. I overheard him discussing a problem with the next order as I took our drinks to our table. Not great.

Lovely cafe very comfortable with plenty charging points and lots of space at the back of the cafe too toilets nice and clean and plenty of nice coffee choices cakes sandwiches cookies etc .

My husband ( on his mobility scooter) asked what they had that was dairy free and he was first told ‘these muffins’ by a member of staff standing by the cake - fortunately another member of staff overheard and pointed out that they were not!! As his blood sugars were running low ( he has a monitor) he was leaving when I arrived and we noticed that they did sell crisps which would do the job! Before I even approached the counter the same member of staff said ‘ we don’t have anything dairy free’ and true- none of the cakes where she was standing were but by the cash desk they had toast and toasted teacakes and a flapjack bar marked ‘vegan/milk free’ I pointed out the toast etc to which she replied ‘ yes but that’s not a cake he wanted a cake’ My husband had not specifically asked for a dairy free cake just for ‘ something dairy free!’ He often visits the Costa near to where we live as they usually have dairy free sandwiches, toast with a vegan spread and occasionally a dairy free cake. However the attitude of this server was extremely rude. My husband went and found a seat while I bought his coconut milk latte and toasted tea cake with vegan spread from the very helpful person on the cash desk who offered dairy free food alternatives! In most Costas or other coffee chains we have always found staff to be very helpful in regard to allergies and also very cautious- the person who my husband first encountered was neither!

Took my daughter in here for a frappachino, which she really enjoyed and was served.to.her with a smile by friendly staff. The whole place looked lovely and clean, with a really nice atmosphere. Then we went to the toilets. See pic. Shame the place let itself down so badly with this. We decided to get the frap to go and went to the ones in the Broadway food court instead.

Asked for special blend which cost extra. Staff made normal coffee. Had to ask to redo and get it right. Please check yourselves out there.

A little dirtier compared other Costas in the area but this could be because Broadway is a high volume place...also will management please let the "barristas" know that over heating milk and letting it sit too long is not Costa procedure and drastically effects the taste of milk based beverages

Having bought a coffee, I went to sit down, but the chairs were filthy. However when I complained a lovely member of staff informed me it was closing in a couple of days for refurbishment. Let's hope they install furniture that can be kept clean.

Was fine until I went to make a phone call and on way back noticed my drink has been picked up by staff. Unfortunately my mum couldn't speak because she's had a few strokes. Not a massive deal but hey ho ☕

Ordered ONE hot chocolate. Watched the lad pour it to discover he had run out of cream. Took nearly 10 minutes to sort it by which point my hot chocolate was flat cold.

Not sure what her name is, when I went there this morning, there were a staff member who was quite petite and have dark curly hair. I said I want two of the morning sets, one more pastry also a latte. But she ended up only taking: one set, one hot chocolate. ???? Then when I ask for a refund and order again, she rolled her eyes???? Always ask me to repeat??? She could not even take correct orders: she thought “plain au chocolat” is “hot chocolate” ???I was being very clear. Not sure how a staff member like this can contribute to the quality of costa which is already so so. Costa, review your staff please, review the comments please.

Extremely slow to be served, I had a capuchin it was tepid and bitter my wife had a tepid chocolate was terrible it's not pram friendly, customers were leaving the queue as it took a long time,so we won't go there again

Messed up a simple order of a skinny latte extra shot and a vanilla latte, so went back and explained, staff apologised but then proceeded to make the same mistake again by mixing up the order. Terrible

Ordered black forest hot chocolate. Was like warm, asked for it heating up to be told they had just made it, I had been stood in the line for 5 mins and no hot chocolates were made. Attitude of staff member, who wasn't in uniform was rude and unnecessary

The elderly lady at the cash register is really unpleasant. Her facial expression says it all. If she doesn't enjoy working with people, let her go do something else. It wasn't the first time, unfortunately she didn't have a name tag, but she has black hair and glasses. Shame

I go to Costa coffee every week. That's my favourite coffee shop in Bradford. But I have noticed on my last few occasions their service gone down. In the last 2 weeks I fell very disappointed. They blocked the seating area and one of girl was doing deep cleaning as well as she was serving. Seating area was blocked with wet floor signs while the shop is full of people. On my last week visit, I have asked for 2 cappuccinos to drink inside and the girl made me 2 cappuccino in takeaway containers, (that's not a big deal) but she didn't even say sorry or said anything. I would say a very young and unprofessional team is running store. Even they don't have a smile on their faces. Someone needs to pay attention.

Poor. The staff wasn't adequate in their service. There wasn't welcoming eather when I had my coffee ready the lady put it on the tray without telling me nothing,not looking to me to serve just left it there with no attitude at all. I'll never experience something like that in UK so far.I live in Londo and I had been all over the country but this was shocking for me.Hope the staff will take their note.

Extremely rude staff. Lacking basic courtesy and manners. Unneccessarily judgemental and authoritarian. This is not why you come to a coffee shop. I think the management should really sit with the staff to discuss their ettiquettes and manners which should ideally be the first priority !

Come into Costa Broadway in Bradford at 25 to 6. Service is poor. Stood in a queue for ages and then my friend requested that her tea be served in a teapot because due to dietary requirements, she is unable to have drinks in paper cups. She was refused and told because we are closing we can't serve you the tea in a teapot. Also, gave her a straw to stir her drink. This is unacceptable customer service. I understand you're closing at 6, but you need to accommodate to all of your customer's needs when they purchase a drink.

I am always in and out of this costa that’s inside next on the top floor at broadway. I hold meetings here with people quite often for professional reasons and today I saw two members of staff that I didn’t recognise. I was in a meeting with a single mother with two young children and as soon as she left I heard the staff talking very loudly about her in a negative way and making jokes about this family. I am very disgusted with the service and it is very unprofessional. There are other other people here and all I could hear was the staff laughing relentlessly and carrying on with the disgusting comments. Between 4-5pm I was here on the 27th of February. Unimpressed.

I ordered 3 mini drinks one of them were caramel hot chocolate but I got a latte I got a refund and got what I wanted but the latte my mum ordered was filed halfway as all the other drinks were and was too strong and the one my dad ordered right but filled half way

i really like costa, but when i was in costa, broadway bradford, my order was toast and marmalade, i had to go back to counter and ask for a knife and then again for my marmalade as they gave me honey instead,the staff was apologetic but i went to counter twice so obviously not good( wasnt even busy in there so thats not an excuse) BUT can i say the chairs we sat on are very grubby and needs a good clean , the fact with COVID they are very unhygienic i think, 🤫

Just been in now to broadway costa 3/11/2025 around 10:40am and would like to say that one of the working staffs there with red headed/ginger hair was extremely rude towards me and the other staff all because i asked for a decaf coffee as im pregnant the other worker with dark hair and glasses was so sweet bless her she was the one making my coffee and the other staff with light hair was being quite rude towards her asking if she charged me extra for a decaf and she replied ‘no’ then she started saying ‘thats why we dont do decafs’ and proceeded to give me dirty looks. Im sorry but this is the first time hearing that costa charges extra for decafs? And i always get my decaf lattes at costa never had an issue before. The younger staff needs to work on her attitude and respect towards customers and her own coworkers because one day she will say or give dirties to the wrong person. I held myself back to not say anything as i dont need extra stress but i was shocked by her ‘professionalism’.

The woman wearing glasses doesn’t know how to take orders or is clearly clueless on what is being served in Costa. Asked for an iced latte she gave me some whipped sugary bs and then told me that’s exactly what I ordered. Can’t do such a simple job as being a barista then find another job field.

Rude staff… we had our coffee bought in and seated with our friends enjoying the coffee. Our kid was hungry and he wanted to eat fries that we had in our takeaway bag from a different retailer. While we explained the situation that the 3yo is eating it, staff was rude stating that if the bag is opened security will be called to escort us out. There was no need to be rude and a bit of empathy can make only a great customer service. Not stepping back again in this establishment.

Absolutely disgusting drinks. I ordered iced caramel latte. Literally didn’t even have caramel inside, when I told the person behind til he said stir it and that it has. Stirred it, still no taste of caramel. Can only taste the oat milk. Also ordered mango berry drink and it’s to sweet. You need to train your staff on how to make the drinks properly.

First time trying out Costa and I chose an iced mocha - absolutely the worst beverage I've had in years, honestly tasted like the Chinese herbal eczema medicine I used to have as a child, which worked wonders but left me gagging every time. My partner had the hot chocolate the previous time and it was just as terrible. I honestly have no idea what made them taste so bad, as they have a very limited beverages menu, so I would expect the few drinks they serve to at least taste good. My only explanation is that their coffee must be out of this world for them to have so many franchises. Definitely won't be risking it to find out though.

Got 4 orders wrong in front of me ..got my panini and it was stone cold and forgot to put chocolate on my purple one latte..went back ..just put the panini I had back in the warmer..burnt it and gave me it back..awful..not filled latte either
