This place is cool as hell, good whiskey selection, unique decor. EXACTLY my vibe I’d usually have to travel a bit for this intimate speakeasy kind of ambience. Joe behind the bar was friendly and very accommodating. I was in search of a cozy bar in my area this popped up on google. I was able to have a quiet intimate Saturday evening exactly what I wanted. 10/10 recommend!

Welcoming, intimate pub. Lovely decor. The ceiling in the woman's bathroom is a bit bizarre - take a look. ;-o Phenomenal patrons = actors, dancers, directors - eclectic mix of local folks, representing the arts. Stellar barkeeper. Thank you Joe.

I came here with my friends to chill. Great drinks, popcorn, and mozzarella sticks. Great service. The bartenders were friendly. Inside is pretty loud because of the music playing. I like the interior, their lounge is nice and comfortable. There's also a TV screen for customers to watch. I do recommend this cozy spot. Great date.

It is hard to believe to have this old school Irish bar in the city. The warm cozy ambience is amazing. Joe is nicely communicative. I don't know how to call him correctly - a bartender or mixologist because my cocktail and my friend's mocktail were on fire. We told him what we wanted and he made them perfectly, no disappointment. It's not easy to have that match. If I was living in the city, this place would definitely be my go-to bar.

Love how they decorated the bar and lounge area. I feel like I’m in a vampire movie every time I go here 😅 And I mean that in a good way! It’s unique and moody! The drinks are always good, the vibe is always nice and the location is away from all the loudness of Dyckman. A fave local bar of all my friends and I from Inwood and the Bronx.

Incredible bar that really doesn’t appear so from outside. At first glance it seems unapproachable because of a dark awning stretching onto the sidewalk. Once you get in there’s a swanky vibe with chesterfield couches and sofas and a well-stocked bar. Daily weekday deals - makes drinks pretty cheap too. Definitely check this place out! Cool spot for a large group hang too.

The mezcal-based signature cocktail I had at Liffy II was a true standout. It possessed a remarkable kick that perfectly complemented the rich and smoky flavors of the mezcal. The bartenders' skillful craftsmanship was evident in the seamless blending of ingredients, resulting in a cocktail that was both well-balanced and exceptionally delicious. It was a true pleasure to savor such a phenomenal creation, and it left me wanting to explore more of Liffy II's cocktail offerings. Beyond the remarkable cocktails, the ambiance of Liffy II added another layer of excellence to my visit. The bar's interior design evoked a sense of sophistication and elegance, akin to a classic cigar lounge. I really wanted to love this place, the sofas/styling and the drinks are great, the bartender is also super nice. The anesthetics are exactly what I was looking for. Liffy II would be perfect as a low-key, intimate bar. The only issue is the music is extremely loud and makes you want to dance. Normally that's not a problem, but there's no dance floor, and the bar layout is set up for quiet conversation and intimate get togethers, it's not a club. Liffy is setup like an intimate speakeasy with the soft seating and layout. If the music volume was half or a bit less than half, so you could actually talk to your group without screaming, this would probably be my favorite place in Inwood. There are plenty of loud, dance-focused clubs in the neighborhood, so it doesn't make sense that a cocktail lounge with beautiful sofas and wonderful anesthetics (including the bartenders classy outfit) would want to ruin that with the entirely wrong soundscape. Hopefully they will lower the music volume, play a more chill and intimate Playlist, and lean into what would make them great and unique in the neighborhood. If they do that I will happily be a regular customer and that would make this a very easy 5 star review
