Great service! The only place around where staff are in a good mood
What a pleasant surprise this place was. Nice fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads, reasonably prices, and a great staff! Busy but no waiting - on a summer Saturday. I honestly loved it.
I loved the food and the variety of items
Really good acai bowls. And delicious coffee. We ordered a mocha, Chai and an espresso and they were all good.
I love it! Even my non vegetarian friends enjoy Pret A Manger. Their staff is very welcoming and fast paced.
I enjoyed the fresh bagel I got. I also got a coconut chicken salad with guacamole, grilled sweet potatoes and quinoa. Nice fresh and organic light options. They claim to do everything handmade and no chemicals, additives, and preservatives added. Credit cards accepted, WiFi, WC, seating, clean, and power outlet to charge your phone. Music probably a bit loud, you may need to raise your voice to talk.
Visiting from out of town. Within walking distance from hotel and a great little find. Food was deliciously fresh. Staff was friendly and fabulous. Will definitely drop in again for a quick bite...especially for dessert, it looked good.
Wow! What a really GREAT place! Food was fresh, natural & absolutely delicious! (So yummy that we went back for another ham, cheese & tomato savory croissant.) We were at the location on Broadway between Dey & Cortlandt and the people were VERY helpful & friendly. I just WISH they were in St. Paul!!
I had such a great experience here! Andy(Saturday night shift) was very helpful and professional. He made sure I had everything I needed and offered me some great suggestions for dinner. Someone came in and started causing trouble, Andy delt with him with urgency, so other people wouldnt feel uncomfortable. Andy should get a promotion!
The food is delicious. The people are so kind. I'm always treated so well. I love sitting here for lunch. Everything about the environment is great.
Great place to relax after a long walk, especially in the hot weather. Not too busy, chilled, and you can use the toilet too without having to wait.
Great personnel, polite, best coffee as well as your almond croissants. It's heaven in Earth. Go There, enjoy, relax, enjoy your beautiful day ahead
Always an address for breakfast, dinner or just in between. Many delicious products to choose from, such as fresh salads, fresh fruit, wraps, sandwiches, Bircher muesli, as well as of course, there is also a wide selection of delicious coffees and other drinks.
Mia is the best !! It was our first time and Mia helped us through the menu and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
It's been several years since I've eaten @ Pret. But, a recent visit brought it all back. The food & service are still wonderful. The Tomato w/feta cheese soup *delicious *
My weekly go-to cafe. Fresh offerings, affordable prices, lots of food choices. Clean premises, good seating and clean and available restrooms. What's not to like??
It's a great place for gluten free options.
I had the most delicious iced mocha. So chocolatey! And the price was great. The napkin says they give their unsold daily fresh food to the homeless and hungry. And I like that a lot. They were amazingly friendly too.
I come here every morning bc I have the coffee subscription which is just amazing. Everyone here is amazing and friendly EXCEPT for the tall skinny dark man, I believe he is a lead supervisor or manager. He bounces between this local and Fulton street. He is never ever friendly to any customer or his own staff. I noticed his co workers under him do not like working with him. The entire vibe of the store is different when he is working. When he is not there everyone is happy as can be. Kudos to the teams at both stores but this man should not be in hospitality if he can not smile nor want to ever show he cares about customers.
I come here every day. Every time I feel welcome to this location. Except Feb 18 Saturday 2023 around 1:40 pm to 1:50 pm shift manager he was profiled me. He makes customers uncomfortable. I went to use the restroom, and he started yelling in front of customers. Which one makes me so uncomfortable and embarrassed. I have the coffee subscriptions, and it's really nice options for us.Therefore, i visit this location every day. But I'll cancel the subscription, because I can't take this kind of behavior. Agin, he really makes me embarrassed all customers were staring at me. i will never come to this location.
The supervisor Yaz and the manager Dashawn do a great job. Yaz is awesome!!! I had a problem with the app and they took care of me anyway. Exceptional customer service!!!
I love Pret A Manger for so many reasons. Creative and healthy foods at reasonable prices. Not to mention reduced waste and homeless donations for leftover food. I am giving this particular store a five rating, because of the double delightful duo Ray and Kwane who run the place (at least most nights). They always greet you with a genuine smile, are chill, and just make your day. Good guys.
I’ve been coming here daily for sometime now simply because of the friendliness of Gabi and Rashad! So friendly and a great start to my day. They remember my order and are always in a cheerful mood.
Amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Had a great cappuccino this morning. For black drip coffee the board says 1.95 but the price is actually 2.09. Still very cheap for organic black. Again great team of ppl.
Really nice almond crossaint and cookie. Good coffee and great staff. We were served by a helpful and friendly staff member called Donal. He was knowledgeable and courteous and if his company have more employees like him they will prosper in the USA. He added enormously to my already high impression of here.
I love this store! The chocolate almond croissant is so yummy and so are the souvlaki salads. The staff is also very friendly and make a real effort to reduce wait time during rush meal periods.
Very clean, modern place. Food is fresh all the time and tastes great, and service is really nice. Added bonus that they're really green and donate food daily so you don't feel as guilty.
Yum, yum, yum! The food is fresh and delicious! There is an option for everyone. You can eat-in at this location. It’s clean and welcoming, everything you’d want from an eatery. The staff are also 10/10. I would recommend this Pret location to my friends and family! My new obsession! Thanks, Pret A Manger for excellent food provided by awesome team members!
This deli store is a hidden gem for sandwich and soup enthusiasts, offering a mouthwatering selection of freshly made delights that will satisfy your cravings. The menu features a variety of sandwiches made with premium meats, cheeses, and freshly baked bread, ensuring a delicious and hearty meal with every bite. Pair your sandwich with a piping hot bowl of soup. The store's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment for diners to enjoy their meal. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch on the go or a leisurely meal, this deli store is a must-visit destination for a satisfying and flavorful dining experience.
This is the best coffee shop in New York! No joke. The food was fresh, the coffee was delicious and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming! I will definitely return here when I come back to New York!!
THIS PLACE WAS THE PERFECT NY BREAKFAST!!!! My family and I went here for breakfast on a cozy, rainy day and it hit the spot! I got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich as well as the sunshine tea with green tea. They were both amazing, and the tea was better than even an Arnold Palmer tea and that was my favorite tea. The workers were kind and very lovely. They also put a rush on the drinks. However, a con about this place is the yogurt. Unless you can handle the bitterness of Greek yogurt, I would not get the yogurt. 10/10 establishment from me!
Awesome place, coffee, food and service! Very pleasant prices considering the location. Excellent coffee and variety of ready to go food for breakfast.
I come here everyday ! Always good vibes
Nice coffee, friendly staff update: Baristas are so nice. I encountered a technical issue where I ordered via the app, but I didn’t receive a confirmation email nor did the barista find my order in the system. However, my subscription does remind me that I have made an order in the last 30 minutes so that in this case, the barista made one for me. I’m so happy about their custom-oriented way of work.
Food is always fresh and tasty, with a good variety of sandwiches and some hot wraps. Somewhat pricey and usually crowded though. Breakfast sandwiches are available until about 10:30.
Definitely a convenient place to grab lunch or breakfast which is what I do often here. And definitely quick, which is often what I need. Food is always fresh, as it is their motto.
Really good simple food. Had a lovely pre prepared yogurt dish.
Great grab-and-go for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. If you're craving fresh, healthy food but are short on time, look no further.
Nice staff. Quick good food. Be prepared for long lines during peak times. Dining area is charmless but large.
I sometimes come here for lunch take-out. I like the latte with oat milk, almond croissant, Cobb salad, and honey yogurt.
I love their coffee and breakfast offerings. The location I use has inconsistent yogurt and egg dishes available. Also the checkout seems less efficient than it could be.
This place is one of my lunch staples. Food is healthy, natural, and from sustainable sources. Love that they change the menus every season and that they are committed to donating food to local charities. Place is clean and well-kept.
This place is run like a well oiled machine. After standing outside in line for a while, we were quickly shepherded into the venue. As mentioned in other reviews, the seating is quite intimate. I loved it because you get to be so close to the artist. In my case it was Amel Larrieux. The drinks were small and watered down and the food wasn't anything to be celebrated. This didn't particularly bother me because I came here to be entertained. The amazing talent that has graced the tiny but vibrant stage makes up for everything else.
Nice healthy and fresh lunch options. Big seating area in the back which was a surprise and not visible when you enter. The biggest drawback were the two unisex bathrooms that were not very clean and out of paper.
Pret a manger is always a good place to have a sandwich or salad. Very good quality, fast check-in. Very friendly cashiers. Usually some place to sit. Music by times quite loud: hard to have a conversation.
Deceiving from the outside, this Pret location has ample seating behind the registers. Standard food you would expect at Pret: salads, sandwiches, & soups are always fresh & delicious.
Nice restaurant, even early Saturday they are open, so quite good. Croissants and coffee perfect. Orange juice they need to do real fresh as in London. Will return.
This is a must go for lunch— really good options. Their lattes are great (I won a free one when I guessed how many coffee beans were in a cup! 😌). Only thing that has detracted from the experience is the overall friendliness of the staff— often there is little greetings and thank yous, and even just not talking at all to customers.
Food and service are good! The atmosphere was busy, music loud. I bought a chicken salad & bacon sandwich with a bag of popcorn. This cost me about $14.
Great fresh food but expensive. Constantly busy. They give paper bags like it is fashionable. But it's for advertising purposes of course. They recycle plastic in the store though if you willing to put it in the right bin. Great customer service. Salads are great. Mac and cheese is good. Cookies and pastries are good.
It's a Pret. It's a good one. Sandwiches, soup, coffee, decent prices, fresh and healthy. Good business model, good business. If you've not been to a Pret before, it's like a better Starbucks with more focus on food. Fun fact it means "ready to eat" in French.
good creative tasty menu choices. many healthy and organic/cage free options. enough vegetarian options to be satisfied with something. many sweet choices. mad expensive though - expect to pay 1/3 more than you normally would for lunch items at moderate portion size.
Quick, simple and clean and not expensive for a veggie based sandwich. Enjoyed my Falafel and Humus wrap, it was good! Location was super busy and crowded but plenty of cashiers keeps the line moving quick - dont worry...
Had a pleasant experience overall. Although we ordered a cappuccino and received a black coffee with a splash of milk instead, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The porridge is the best in the world! The ambiance was cozy and perfect for a quick bite. Would recommend, just double-check your coffee order!
I visit this place often because I’m on their beverage subscription. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciate. However, the quality of the drinks has been inconsistent. The biggest issue is that my cup is often only 2/3 to 3/4 full, especially during rush hours. Since I’m on the subscription, I usually let it slide, but if I were paying full price I’d be pretty frustrated to get less than a full drink. Overall, it’s a convenient spot with good service, but they really need to improve consistency and make sure customers get the full value of their order.
Nice selection of healthy ready prepared soups, salads and sandwiches for those that just want to grab and go without waiting e long lines for custom orders. Really enjoyed the Mediterranean salad which had fallafel, pomegranate seeds, mixed greens and spiralized beets. Very unique in it's combination but non of the flavors were over powering. Planning to visit again.
The service is better in other countries..There are no trays, no plants around for decoration. Employees aren't very kind.Quality of food is good
The food is amazing , but they never have stuff out. I go early in the morning and they are never ready. If the food is made fresh in the back than why not start early. I went around 6:30 am and nothing was ready . If you need more time than open later.
The food was good but the prices are way too high. I understand that healthier food cost more but at the same time why cant most places break that stigma. But dont get me wrong the service was amazing and the chocolate chip cookies are to die for but at the same time it's pricey
If you're familiar with this chain in europe then there is no difference here in terms of food. This particular store is small. It's always crowded. There is always a line for the bathroom. If you are here during a work day take your food to go. It would be a circus.
This morning, I was told that a very friendly employee named Alex was laid off from your Company. I do not know the circumstances but I'm very sorry to hear this because he was an asset for the Company, When he was there, the shelves were always filled and everyone received a warm welcome. He was one of the reasons to go back every morning. Several times I told him to apply for a manager position, he has the most difficult qualities to find, leadership and empathy. As I mention before, I do not know the reasons for the lay of but I will miss him. Good luck, Gloria Arbelo Daily customer
As most of you might know, Pret A Manger is a famous eatery brand known for breakfasts and brunches. We went there to grab a quick bite on our way through NYC.We got a Cheddar & Tomato Sandwich and a Spinach & Tomato Mac and Cheese. The former was extremely dry and the bread was a little too chewy. I do not suggest getting this. The mac & cheese was pretty good and should be given a try!
Turn down the music... please Love everything about Pret A Manger. Clean, good food, price and service and as a Licensed NYC tout guide I send thousands of clients to Pret every year. The one thing I dont get is why does every location need to be a Nightclub with music so loud its sometimes difficult to talk. Im not sure what Marketing technique this is, but young folk will come either way as your prices are super reasonable. On that note, dont change anything but please consider the volume for the music in your various locations...
Go to this place all the time, but now they have a new employee that OMG! What a rude person. Today I was trying to order my coffee and started yelling to another person on my face (his saliva coming out from his mouth was disgusting that I have to move). Some context, apparently the payment didn’t go through with the previous client, instead of said “excuse me” and move to call the other person he decided just yelling on my face. When he finally finished with that client, I asked if he was ready and nothing, then gave me a look like: “are you gonna order?”. And unfortunately this is not the first time that it happened with this person, every time that he is the one who takes my order is the same, so much attitude (no good one). Everybody there are amazing, nice and respectful but this one 🤦🏻♀️
I've ordered from them via Uber Eats several times, and almost every time the order is messed up. Today's order they forgot one item, gave me the wrong item for the potato chips, and the sandwich was cut in a way that made it difficult to eat. I won't be ordering again, unless I'm there in person
I have been there a few times around 6pm weekdays. Staff is always friendly but I think they might have management issues. Coffee offerings are mesy. Both times I ordered they forgot about it and I had to ask for it again a few minutes later. The counter behind the registers always look very messy and disorganized which inevitably make. Me wonder - if public facing areas look like that, imagine what their kitchen must look like.
Food is great like any other pret a manger spot in NYC. The place is SUPER loud, employees, music, which basically gets everyone inside screaming. It's painful. But again, food is great, when I have time I just take away and any Street corner is more pleasant.
Good food and drinks as any other Pret in a world, but music extremely loud, which makes stuff and people scream all the time, even when you ordering. Seems like staff is screaming at you, not talking, so some people can get impression that they are being rude. I have very soft voice and cannot really scream, so it is quite a nightmare for me when ordering.
The one who prepared my coffee did a great job. It was perfect and he made sure it had everything I wanted. But there was another customer who reported bugs in her sandwich and they verified and refunded her money. So good coffee, buggy sandwiches
Good food, but the workers always place the items with the wrong pricing label and when I checkout, it is more than what I was expecting. I don't even know what I am paying for anymore.
various sandwiches are always out of stock in the fridge, and prices have gone way too high considering the quality and amount of food you're getting. it's impossible to justify this over other breakfast and coffee spots nearby, and there are many
I am a Pret regular and even have their subscription, but this location is always severely understaffed and wait times are crazy long with severe delays even when preordering online for a certain time. The workers are doing their best, it is clearly a management issue.
Walk inside, look to your right, you will see many descriptive words... So, this pret is the exact, definitive opposite of all of those descriptions. Training is suggested. Your only competitive advantage is your subscription. Literally no single other reason that I go there.
Appalling hot chocolate with a zero taste. Staff with no manners or care that didn’t seem bothered. Expected a lot better for the cost
November 11th, around 6pm, the worst experience ever at a Pret. The guy said coffee machine was not working. Didn't offer us any other choice. Every reply to a question had an attitude. When we asked for the receipt we got a bad attitude gesture.
what happened to all the vegan options Pret?! Not even the little breakfast cups are vegan anymore! they only had the falafel wrap and it was not that good anymore either! it seems the menu is even more meat heavy now than what it used to be…
Pastries are not well cooked. We didn't like them. And the place is dirty. There are better Prêt à Manger in Manhattan than this one.
This is a typical of NYC food these days, Overpriced, miniature portions. And food that has already been prepared well in advance and sitting on a shelf waiting for hungry people to buy it. Not to mention soup out of a plastic bag poured into the vat. Not my type of place, plenty of real Deli type places around that will give you the real lunch you deserve!
Music too loud and rude staff
Open at 8. Waited half an hour to have oatmeal to come out. If oatmeal is taking long, let me know! Instead, the staff kept telling me one “5 more minutes “ after another. You are wasting your customers’ time.
I don't come here too often and when I do, I always remember why I don't. Every cashier I've had has always been rude. The service is slow. I ordered an iced coffee and waited almost 10 minutes for the worker to fill a cup with ice and black coffee. There wasn't even that many people ahead of me. Never again!
When the cashiers stare, dead-eyed out into space, pointedly avoiding eye contact with the customers as they approach, no “hello”, no “is there anything else I can get you?” & rather, purposefully do not acknowledge their presence at all? This doesn’t make for the best dining experience. I would say avoid this location and go next-door to aroma espresso bar… The staff there is probably just as disinterested, but at least they know how to acknowledge their customers as they are “serving” them.
Terrible matcha that tasted like straight up milk and the girl in red hair band and glasses had the worst customer service in the world.
Contemptuous, hostile and rude staff on service counter. Such a shock to receive such service compared to (good) service in UK Pret A Mangers I have visited. Would never recommend. Awful. I would have left a review on card provided but did not have a pen).
In my opinion, just expensive ($7-12) sandwiches that are stale pre wrapped made earlier fare. By enlarge they are almost all bread, some wilted lettuce, almost no meat (and I mean that it seems like it is less than 2oz), and a spattering of other ingredients. Go down the block to Subway and get fresh bread reasonable meat at $5 for a footlong, that what I do now.
Asked for hot green tea no green tea in stock Asked for latte no regular milk in stock. It's only 12 o'clock and they ran out of simple things very disappointing 😞. Poor management!
i ordered a plain croissant, and the person behind the cashier worked without gloves. Touching money and croissants and what not with his bare hands....with innocently clueless eyes. Just remembering that sight makes me sick.
I used to buy lunch salads at this exact location every day. Today, one of your staff members was rude to me for no reason. He made a comment about me being on my phone and then said he wouldn’t ring up my food if I was using it. I have no idea what kind of behavior that is, and what is this person problem. I won’t be returning to this or any of your locations.
Come here if you want lukewarm coffee
Food is consistently great, and enjoy picking up my lunch there. The line to the register has been extremely annoying. Recent weeks the ' loud /barking/ shepherding of costumers to form 5 lines in front of each register has been ridiculous. It is abrasive, some what unprofessional and unfriendly - and again loud. Today it was as if it was a drill to my brain. I feel that I have to pick up my lunch elsewhere.
6 coffee charged to much in the bill.
I usually pick up a sandwich from here once a week. The greens on it weren’t looking good today so I opened the sandwich to take them off of the chicken and avo sandwich, and they only put filling on the long triangle end, the rest of the sandwich was empty. They already raised the prices, so now it’s $12 for 2 tablespoons of filling. 🙄 come on now that’s just greedy. Will not be back.
Pret has delicious food but this location has awful customer service. I did a pick up order via DoorDash and instead of asking my name or the order details, one of the cashiers stayed silent when I asked about picking up. When I showed her the order details, it turned out they didn’t even have my order ready. She told another cashier about it and I had to guide that person as to what my order was when I expected to just pick it up. I highly recommend avoiding this Pret and going to another location.
I ordered an iced mocha, and unfortunately it was a really poor experience. There was unmelted sugar sitting at the bottom of the cup, which made the drink gritty and unpleasant to drink. The overall flavor was also off — overly sweet and bitter, with no real balance between coffee and chocolate. For a coffee shop, this is a pretty basic issue. I hope more attention can be paid to drink preparation and quality control.
I ordered from Ubereats and every time there’s something missing and it’s frustrating considering I’m still a paying customer. I JUST got my order from ubereats and I’m missing a drink. Ubereats is waiting 48hrs to issue me a refund because poor service. Not only that I still had to end up buying additional food from Dunkin Donuts because I have people over. So not all that, yall have cost me to spend more money. DO NOT ORDER YOUR FOOD FROM HERE!
I give one star because here I met the rudest cashier in town. Zero courtesy. If it hadn’t been for a kind colleague of hers, I wouldn’t have been told the bathroom code again — she had mumbled it to me under her breath the first time. She made me feel like an idiot. I will never come back to this place.
This is my first time visiting this establishment, but I am a frequent buyer at other locations. The service was extremely horrible. The cashier was unapproachable and appeared to have a disliking for her job as I ordered a simple cookie. The cookie didn’t meet the general standards of any Pret locations. Training is suggested.
Just bought a sandwich here earlier from the rudest employee who refused to acknowledge me when I asked for a receipt - she engaged in a conversation with whom appeared to be a manager- both continued to ignore me - after a minute or two the manager did look up and said she would get me a receipt from the other till - then went back to converse with the employee - I got a receipt after 5 minutes of wait - please no patronizing answers for whomever responds - looking at prior reviews there is a lot of attitude and anger in this spot. Won’t be going in there again
Afternoon staff are the rudest employees. Especially the heavyset gentleman behind the counter! I purchase coffee and a sandwich every single morning and love the morning employees. Will never come back in the afternoon and spend anymore money when he is present!
The lady who I believe is the manager is incredibly rude and has no sense of customer service. There were maybe a dozen people waiting for their drinks for upwards to 40 minutes including myself. A man started to justifiably and patiently ask about what has happened to his order and the lady starts yelling at him. I understand not everything is in your control when it comes to mobile orders but the least you can do is keep your temper and try to resolve the situation nicely.
Two of the worst employees ever. She constantly made my coffee wrong. I ordered a large she makes it small I order 5 shots of hazelnut syrup she puts 3 shots. She acts like it's her store and a week passed and she sat talking about me at the register with the guy and how I'm trying to get free extra syrup. However I have a premium monthly membership. She needs to be fired. The pair threatened me and slammed chairs about until I left
The employees here couldn't be more rude and crass. The lady in the picture didn't even make eye contact and did not even confirm what I'm ordering. When I asked did you get my order she didn't even reply. She was just working on cleaning and getting ready to close the shop, putting all the stuff on the counter like it's her living room
