This place is definitely the best Mexican restaurant in the Bronx. I have been to other places including some in New Rochelle and Yonkers in this place by far has the best steak, chicken, and Mexican sausage tacos. Not to mention their steak nachos and enchiladas. I also saw some amazing sea food plates but I’m not a big fan if it ain’t fired fish or shrimps. They might want to improve in their bar area in terms of mixing drinks. But over all the taste is amazing. Yes it’s family oriented as well as single or if you’re with friends. Unfortunately they don’t have parking. Parking might be a little hard due to meter parking but definitely worth it

Visited El Molcajete with some colleagues for lunch. Place is small but cozy. We asked for a couple of things on the menu thT unfortunately were not available. But whatever we ended up eating was pretty good. Felt fresh and flavorful.

The food is tasty but customer service is lacking. Be careful what you get because I ordered what they described as a lamb birria stew on the menu with a rice. I got a burrito with beef birria in it, the order didn't mention it is a burrito or they replaced lamb with beef and when I called and ask what is going on he said it is my fault I should have known it's made with beef, everywhere makes it like that.

Always order from this restaurant. The lady that took my order today was pretty rude. I order grilled chicken tacos and they send me the tacos with a bunch of chicken skin. I called back and the lady wasn’t helpful at all.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! We walk in and the lady and man behind the bar look at us like we’re aliens . They stay silent until we ask the questions??? We say good morning ! NO REPLY ! No costumer service , nor professionalism what’s so ever !!! Not only did she take long to come to our outside table but the first thing she says is what do you want to order !! Didn’t bring any chips and salsa , leaves comes back 15 minutes later !!! And food ... I ordered a steak picadita (not a picadita and the steak all fat !!! I order a seafood soup as well and not worth all this nonsense!!! I tried calling the owner or manager and of course no PROFFESSIONALISM AT ALL!!!!

Egghh.... other than the poor customer service, the food was just as flavorless. From the moment I walked in, not even a hello, or a welcome. I was completely ignored. The three ladies that were the "host" only looked at me and they went back to thier business. Then when I received the food.....a burrito with salad? Ok...a salad....but the burrito was just a flavorless. The steak machos had no cheese. I asked and paid for extra cheese. My nachos were cheese less and flavorless. I will not be back.

It was a waste of money. The food isn’t as good as I thought! The delivery guy gave us the food all wet of salsa because the container spilled on his way dropping the food off. I was really disappointed since it was my first time ordering. First and last time ordering there 😔

Bad service. The quantity of food was unsatisfying. The waitress flor never came to check if we we’re okay. And there was only ONE other table. Must be because she was busy flirting with the guys. The only thing I would say I enjoyed was the nachos.

So me and my coworkers decided to order some food from here today while looking at the grub hub menu, tacos were suppose to be priced at $2.25 on the menu online when they came it read that they were $4.25 each.... for freaking tacos!! are you kidding me... almost $5 per taco this is not Hollywood Blvd. Second my coworker ordered the 3 for $9 chicken tacos and got only one charged at $4.25 then my other coworker ordered shrimp tacos and they were incorrect and super hot with grilled jalapenos in them. We spent a lot of money with this order and when we called back to tell them about the mess ups the lady was completely rude, said she does not understand or speak English and neither does anyone else. Its ridiculous and i will also be posting this review on yelp and every site that I can!!

Call to place an order to pick up 30 min before closing asked if they could do it and with an attitude she asked me what i was ordering, all the lady had to say in a nice way that it was to late and she was sorry, felt like i was upsetting the person when im a customer. And actually was buying not asking for free food

The food isn’t good. Taste like old oil. And barely has any taste. My torta had a very thin slice of chicken. I got the milanesa. The servers are too busy flirting with guest at the bar. Horrible service.
