The fried shrimp & fried lobster tails was superb. 8 thin sliced tostones for $6 come on . Not even a half of plantain used. The shoe string French fries could be changed. The pickle is good. The corn on the cob is good. Going here today again. I promised to bring someone here for their birthday. Enjoy your day.

A staple for my family and loved ones for as long as I can remember. The fried food always hits the spot in the way only city island can pull off. The Henny colada is a fave for my fiancé and for me the strawberry daiquiri is my go to. This is a place my family and I will continue to visit for many years to come

The view of the sunset from the outside eating area was beautiful More importantly the food was phenomenal, best scallops I ever had and my friends food, what I was allowed to taste anyway was amazing as well.

With a great view from the water, decent food to fill you up, but we are there for the drinks, they are the tastiest loaded cocktails.

I love Seafood City. Their Broiled crab legs and shrimp is the die for. I also had there fried shrimp and french fries. If I knew they were that good I would've gotten two orders of that too. The wings and fries are good and the Blue Hawaiian was strong and G😋😋D!!

The food is delicious as long as you eat it as soon as you get it. The fish got hard very fast because It was fried to crispy. I took home the portion I didn't eat and when I reheat it. It was tough to eat I tried both microwave and regular oven heating at a low temperature. Great portion size .

This place is like a Pull-Up & Dine, Drive-Through & more for Seafood! Buzzing on the weekends w/ families, couples and friends. It has an order over the counter & made-to-order like process, w/ an open floor cafeteria vibe. It also has wall art murals throughout plus a section with arcade games. There’s also an in-door/ outdoor seating (both which have a bar). I like that they didn’t stress the mask wearing policy here. I ordered my food To-Go. Every time I come here they consistently make the food hot, flavorful, delicious & fresh. Plus the frozen & cocktail drinks are always bomb; I love it! Whenever you’re in City Island GO HERE! They close at midnight!

Stopped by here with my girlfriend on our way down from upstate NY. It was hot and we were craving seafood. The food is as good as the rating. Super fresh seafood cooked perfectly. We got the broiled combo and loved every bite it. They have a nice outaode seating area and bar which is great during the summer. I'll be back here with my family and friends

Best Spot on the Island. The place can get pack in the weekends but the service is so fast. You’ll be seated in no time. If you like Henny, you just get the Henny Colada with the double shot. It’s sooooo refreshing. Lol. Fried Snapper with fried shrimp is to is to die for. Great place to go after a long work week. Hit this place up with a few friend and coworkers and enjoy!!

Absolutely one of my favorite places in City Island! Look forward to coming here every summer with family and friends. This is a very casual, very local spot and with food that rivals any high end seafood restaurant. The broiled king crab legs are some of the best you’ll find anywhere. The scallops and calamari are also great. The Henny-Colada’s are strong. Lovely views of the city. Bring cash!

Loved my food! It was busy, crowded but didn't have to wait long. Ate outside while it was drizzling, I didn't want to be in the crowd! Enjoyed the experience, will definitely go back🥰

The food is not bad at all just need a little more shrimp when ordering a shrimp dish. Ordered Stuffed Lobsters- crab stuffing mostly stuffing, the fried shrimp dinner- not many shrimp for $18, Oysters- hubby liked them but said they’re small, the shrimp and chicken Cajun Alfredo- not enough shrimp but chicken very tender… THE DRINKS ARE BOMB! Due to covid there is no indoor dining bur I’ve been here before and this is like a fast food chain. Inside has gaming station for kids. Service: not that much interaction, this is a self service, but you have to order and pay, then they will call your number. Btw this is CASH ONLY! Food: All that I’ve ordered here is good! BROILED SCALLOPS with RICE: this is the bomv! The scallops are perfectly cooked and seasoning is on point! LINGUINI with CLAMS, SCALLOPS, SHRIMP on CLAM SAUCE: this is good too, the pasta is al dente and the clam sauce was so tasty SEAFOOD PAELLA: this is another winner, a lot of seafood in here and the rice is so tasty! FRIED CALAMARI: we order this all the time because it is crispy and it comes with french fries. FRIED SOFTSHELL CRAB: this is new on the menu but it was good, too bad it is only 3 pieces. Price rating: 7/10, a little pricey but it is good food! Again, CASH ONLY! I’ve been here multiple times and it does not fail me! Get the broiled scallops and seafood paella, this is my top choices! Its an open space set up like a dining facility.... but the food is excellent... not pricey at all... the drinks were on point ... not weak at all... all very worth it for a quick gathering of friends with great food n drinks

Since we moved from NYC to the south, fresh seafood isn't always available and when it is you pay the price for it. This visit back we went with our NYC family that frequents Seafood City several times a month. Seafood was delicious and inexpensive. Oysters & soft-crab were outstanding, scampi & rice#buttery-rice made us want access to the pot to get seconds. All the fried shrimp, scallops, fish were fried to perfection. 🤗😋😍 Did I say, everything was delicious. I can't wait for our next trip back home to NYC to try some more dishes on the menu.

Foods normally always good, cant tell you how many dates I been here on, they never complain, and place itself is good, but sometimes the good boogers roll up in there and start theyre sheet, but no one can blame the spot for that. Still, delicious and never a bad time

Great food the fried shrimp is fabulous and fresh i have also tasted the fresh fried snapper and its also delicious. Fresh and consistent each time i have eaten it. Im here today November 18th having the shrimp with tostones and its great ❤️🥰. The guy was nice behind the counter he said the fish is dobe with scampi sauce. Totally recommend coming the tostones are great and the shrimp are great which is what i had today ❤️🥰

My boyfriend put me on to this spot! He wanted a drink and i wanted crab legs! Crab legs was a lil over cooked but satisfied my craving, corn was buttery and potato was dry! Drink was good and generous! Service was ok! Took my order and waited about 10/15 mins for food! Atmosphere depends on the time you go can be really full and packed with people or a few people

Everything tasted fresh and wasn't overly seasoned! Great atmosphere with area for children (and adults) to play at, nice spacious indoor and outdoor seating as well. There are ATMs available if you need to withdraw some cash.

I haven’t been here in many years. I’m glad to see. They have stepped up their game with safety and food was excellent. Glad I came back and gave it another chance. It was empty today because of Labor Day weekend which was great. There were no lines normally it’s super crowded. They are cash only but have three ATMs inside. I will be going back. I love seafood, City, honey coladas, and fried shrimp and scallops.

My only drawback is they do not accept credit cards and they do have 3 🏧 machines near the front so you can get the cash to purchase your items. It’s an awesome place to enjoy with family and friends… but I have ordered the snow legs with shrimps since after covid and it’s been oily and salty. We need the old chef back!!!!

Yum! I came with 3 family members and carried lots of cash expecting a hefty bill BUT Seafood City was great. Good portions, tasty and decent prices! The crab legs and penne pasta was delicious. **Its Cafeteria style and a bit noisy. If you're looking for an "ambiance" don't pick here BUT if you care about quick & tasty GO!

Be careful with the frying. Your belly might not be ready. Trust but the drinks yessss.

Food was very good, but was cooked in a lot of butter and oil. Had lobster which was delicious, and spinach stuffed flounder which was good. Shrimp scampi was served with a choice of fries, rice, or baked potato which I had. They only take cash, and the lines can be very long. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as clean restrooms.

Prices were pretty steep but I must say it was worth it! My only issue here was at the time i went they were only taking cash, during a pandemic... yeah not convenient. But the food and atmosphere being out side watching the sunset was definitely satisfying. Waiting to even get in was ridiculously long. So be prepared to wait! 4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went to seafood city and Johnny's. The fried lobster tails are 7 dollars cheaper at Johnny's. 38 dollars compared to seafood city at 45 dollars. I also was able to get my soft shell crab this time and Johnny's for 30 dollars. I don't mind spending 75 dollars for 2 meals because it only happens once or twice a summer.

It has an amazing view with fun arcade games. The food however was not it. The grab legs we ordered were overcooked and was way too hard to crack open because of that. It was almost as if they were baked as well. The fries were not hot on the verge of being cold. So the atmosphere was good but food was mid.

One of my favorite casual places to eat seafood and have some nice cocktails. It's always busy but I take that as a plus. It means the food is good.

I've been here several times with friends. Food is good and alcoholic drinks be on point. I wish they started taking credit and/or debit cards. It cam be hassle at times getting cash first

The drinks and food are great every time. The stuffed shrimp over rice and the dried shrimp platter are my go tos. Been coming here for years! The set up for Corona is nice and not too crowded. This was my first time here, and it was a good one! I'm a big fan of seafood, and this place didn't disappoint. Beware that you will be paying market price for most of the seafood dishes, but you will get good value and tasty food. The only downside is the very long line that there was at the time of arrival. However, I enjoyed the food, and it was well worth the wait.

Amazing seafood place on City Island. This is not at all a restaurant, but more of a fast-food, cafeteria-style seafood spot that has self-serve tables. It also has a full bar off to the side if you’d like to drink inside. The ambiance could be a bit better in my opinion. Although, the food is five stars.

The food was amazing, it's almost like cafeteria style you order what you want pay and give them your cellphone number so the can text you when it's ready... You go and get your own condiments and find a table to sit at.. it's one big open space, with lots of tables. I would love to go here again when I find someone from Jersey willing to go with me.

Food is fast and always full of flavor. This place also provides a kids menu. As well as a variety of seafood, burgers, fries all sorts. The drinks are clever in names, and full of kick. Gatherings here are always fun.

The food was great. Pretty nice place to eat and enjoy with family or friends. One of the things I didn't like was that one of the staff was rude and catching an attitude because we brought a cooler in. Other than that it was pretty alright. Also, just for a small lemonade It was $2 like no... pretty expensive

Great food and service! The Kiddie rides outside are so sad. Charging $2.00 (1 token =$1.00) for an outdated and battered ride is not cool. Please update your rides outside - it’s disappointing as well that the machines also don’t always work and instead just take your money. It’s not an excuse to simply have a sign that says”at your own risk” (still on your property) which appears to service mainly families. I believe you can do better for the children.

It’s very organized and for fast food is very clean. The menu is really extensive for mostly finger food. Indoor and outdoor seating available. It has a beautiful view.

I was told by my colleagues that this was a teacher's place, meaning a restaurant where teachers go to celebrate the last day of school, a momentous occasion, etc. This place had everybody there...teachers, families, younger generation hanging out near the mini arcade. There's music, drinks, seafood, burgers, hot dogs, fries. You can opt to sit inside or outside. Casual wear.

I absently love this restaurant. everything they cook is well done. However, my favorite by far is the broil lobster tails. The seasoning on the lobster tails is perfect. Not salty and with enough garlic and butter. The pasta is okay and the french fryers are okay too.

This place is a family favorite. We have been coming to this location for several years. The food is usually very good. We went on Father’s Day. Despite the large crowd at the time, the food came out hot and tasty. The view of the beach at dusk was the cherry on top. Employees are kind and quick. Top recommended location.

I was actually surprised of the quality of food made here. I expected chain food quality, but I was wrong. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder and Fried Shrimp, with Fries, Cole Slaw, and a Pickle. First, the restaurant quality Clam Chowder, Creamy, Clammy (in a good way), potatoes , I rated this a (5), its a must have. The shrimp were also restaurant quality along with crispy fries (4). The facility is made to hold plenty of people and set for a quick counter order type atmosphere. There is an outdoor area for nice days and plenty of parking. I would recommend this place as a fast-paced eatery for a good quality lunch or dinner with a group.

Like the place the food is good fir a quik one and go not my place to stay hanging out on a friday There always some people fighting or arguing lol so i get my lobster stuff crab 🦀 and my coco 🥥 mojito and move to next love the view 😝

Nice atmosphere outside by the water, well air conditioned inside, and the food prices are reasonable. The seafood is decent but not seasoned; you will have to use the free condiments to flavor your food. The lines are long when ordering your food, and it's crowded after midday on a weekend; I have never been at this seafood place on a weekday, so I'm not familiar wirh the type of crowd they service on those days. Major down side, for me, is this is a cash only establishment. However, ATMs are available but why pay twice, to access cash then pay for your food in cash. Besides that, a descent place to catch up with friends and family for a nice little outing.

The food is bland. Needs seasoning. Although expensive, drinks are tasty and hit the spot. Bartenders are great. Outdoor music is a vibe, a mixture of everything. But I could have done without the rodents running around.

Eh it's not too bad. They will eff up your order and act like nope that's what you ordered. When they get it right it's decent. This is not the place you go to for the fancy date. You come here for cheap seafood and maybe impress someone who has never ate at any of the other places on city island.

Pretty cool place with nice view of the water out back with loads of tables . They have decent seafood nothing impressive for the price . They have strong coctails which gave it a extra star for me.

The food is alright, not bad at all. You get your money's worth. Big portions. Drinks are absolutely deliciously fabulous. The seating outside was very dirty. I understand that the picnic style seating is always out there but they can at least wipe it down so their patrons can have a clean place to sit and eat.

Good is great but the females behind the counter have no respect and are rude. They give you attitude with just about any request you make, asking for a fork, extra napkins is a Sin, and God forbid you mention that your soda is flat. Too much attitude for a place that only accepts cash!!

The Sea food platter. It was so small compared to 2 years ago I was able to take sum home before now it was like I wanted more.

The place is big lots of parking and seating be prepared to stand in a long line though. I'm not going to lie it's not what I wanted. If your looking for your lobster or anything to be steamed the is not the place. My food was dry but the drinks made up for it. Not sure if I'm going back

That was my first time there on a saturday and it wasn't too bad. I mean, there was a random person who tried to start some trouble with my friend. The drink that I got was okay and good for a slushie. I got the shrimp and I think eighteen dollars for shrimp, and some french fries is a little too much. Other than that, if I didn't have any other place to go to. I would go there again. It wasn't bad, i just wouldn't go out of my way to go there again unless i'm in town because I live too far.

Food was fresh but no flavor very bland. Too hot inside to eat as well and they want to charge you for to go tray to take your food home. Well food box. A dollar for one! I had 10 people with me and we spent like 300 dollars and you need to take food home they charge you smh. That should be free. The drinks are good. But will not go back because it's not flavor to there fish or others seafood.

What more can you say about this place? If ratchet had a home, it would be seafood city. The food has fallen off big time for one The drinks are on point. Imma keep it positive but trust me when I say, there are better choices in City Island. The service, all things considered, is good.

If you come from somewhere that known for seafood do not go here. The seafood over all did not have any real flavor. The fried shrimp I had was good but the lobster had a fishy smell and fresh seafood is not supposed to smell. I opted to get a burger and that was good also.

The food is overpriced and bland and they don't accept electronic payments. However, they do have three expensive mini-ATMs right at the front door. Atleast the drinks are good and the parking is free. I'm still trippin' over the fact they allow dogs inside, that's wild.

I recently went back home for some family matters. It was suggested we dine at Seafood City in City Island. I haven’t been to City Island in decades. This restaurant is family oriented, however, it’s a busy place. There is a kids area, arcade area, and dining area. The process to order food seems appropriately controlled and works. The decor is true to its name and location. Also, the menu is part of the decor. This is a fast paced environment so the staff members may not be able to wipe your area (including floors) down prior to you taking a seat. Grabbing a table is a must! Food was decent. My niece and her dad order the seafood combo. I had the wings and fries and they were decent. Self serve condiments though lacking of various condiments. No hot sauce, only ketchup and some other sauce. Decent service. Available parking in front of the restaurant. Cheap prices.

I am a big seafood lover. So, once in a while, I would come here to treat myself on a low budget. During the summer of 2025, I came back and realized that the food quality was bad, and the taste was different. The worker also had a horrible attitude. Sorry, I decided not to order and leave, giving her the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe she was having a bad day. What back a second time, which is now in November, and it was the same worker with two other ladies. They’re all Latinas. Their attitude was on a different level, just nasty and unprofessional. So I still ordered my food only to find a roach in it after eating one lobster tail. I discovered a roach in my food! I have begun to think it was deliberately placed there. Went back to let Miss Nasty attitude know & she still had a horrible attitude. She gave me my money and I had to let her know I wanted a refund for everything. I think miss Nasty attitude name is Maria.

If you don't like seasoned food this place is not it. We spent to much money only to be told they don't season they're food. First timer. Its a joke if you expect to operate a cash only business this big. ABSOLUTELY NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE BUILDING. The atmosphere is very fast food like but the prices don't reflect the same thing, it was a bit overpriced. It takes 35-45 mins to wait for an order that isn't fried (aka all the pasta and lobsters/crabs). I had the shrimp pasta the sauce was a bit bland but still okay . My wife had the calamari had no seasoning and came with basically all fries. The crab legs were good but didn't seem that fresh and DID NOT COME WITH BUTTER . The water down cocktail sauce tasted like it was mixed with ketchup. I'll take my chances at another place . I've had way better seafood experiences elsewhere.

BUYER BEWARE— KING CRAB LEGS HAVE GONE UP BY $50!!!! They used to be $70 and now they are $120!! INSANITY !!!

The worst place I have ever eaten Seafood in the tri state area. Fries over cooked nothing seasoned we had other choices but the person we were visiting chose this location. Wondering why people waste their money here unfriendly staff it's not about the food its about the money with this business. Don't do it@!!!!

French fries taste like cardboard....Scallops were tiny....that's all you get for $18.00.. Not worth the money. RED FLAG ALERT: Don't ever order take out. Make sure you look at your food first and then wrap up to go. A total of $75 and I was really disappointed. Everyone should be treated fairly and I don't think it's the case here.

Fries where all over cooked, shrimp had no flavor, the hennyColada was so watery, the colada was just floating on the top like replaced with ice. So horrible. Not even to coke was good. It tasted so watered down.. cant wait till Johnny's open i was forced to come here since my favorite place was closed 😩
