Satisfy your acai bowl craving HERE! Recently moved to Westchester and came across this on Google Maps, then was recommended this spot by a friend of mine and knew I had to try, and we did and it was DELICIOUS! My husband and I both had the Nutella bowl and the consistency of the acai was perfect. Thick, cold and fresh, topped with a delicious granola, strawberries, bananas, coconut flakes and the tasteful nutella to top it off. We know that this will be our go-to for our bowls.

I ordered the NICA Bowl, it was built to perfection. These people take pride in their work and it shows in their product. My daughter had her favorite: TROPICAL Acai Bowl. Her exact words: “I like that they put granola throughout the entire bowl because you have that granola crunch throughout.”

It was freezing inside since the weather outside was cold and they have the door open. Small place and as you're eating an acai bowl its freezing!! The bowls were filled really well and tasted delicious, however I found it astonishing that it costs $30 for two bowls?? Really pricey, would only reccommend as a treat every once in a while.

Not really pleased with the service here. I order a “Pura Vida” and substituted the strawberries for blueberries. This comes with banana as well. The amount of blueberries was very overwhelming. There were barely any bananas. The granola was only placed. Including that the granola was only placed as a toppings and not the bottom. I was aware that this goes on the top and bottom. On top of waiting patiently to order. I was skipped my another customer, and the employee did not mention to the person who skipped me. Even though the location is convenient for me. I will travel to another location with better mannerisms.

the actual food itself is great. always fresh! the employees? horrific and condescending. the environment in this store is atrocious. girls behind the counter are mean and have some of the worst interpersonal skills i've ever witnessed. there's just no customer service. they openly talk badly about each other, customers, and the store. i had been a customer here for years before i tried working behind the counter and one shift was enough to make me never want to set foot in that store ever again :)

I've been a loyal customer here for years, but today's experience was incredibly disappointing. I informed the Hispanic lady about the two orders I was picking up, and she walked away without a word. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she was busy. However, five minutes later, she responded with attitude, shrugging her shoulders and saying 'it's not ready.' I found her behavior rude, sassy, unprofessional, and disrespectful, especially considering I was speaking calmly. I also asked for the Manager and the Manager never came. This behavior is unprofessional, and I think I will not be returning to the established. The behavior is unacceptable for the ZIP Code at that.

I went to Playa Bowls in Bronxville, NY to order two “Açai Energy” smoothies to go, and what I witnessed was absolutely unacceptable. As the girl behind the counter was “making” my order, I saw her go into the freezer and pull out premade smoothies. When I asked if she was about to use those for my order, she casually said yes. I’ve been to Playa Bowls locations all over New York, and this has NEVER happened anywhere else. I called over another worker (who seemed to be a manager or team leader) and asked if this was allowed. She told me the smoothies were made for a party that never showed up and were sitting in the freezer for about an hour. She also admitted the owner was aware of this practice! Let me be clear: I was about to be charged $25 for someone else’s abandoned order, pulled from the freezer and passed off as fresh. I immediately demanded a refund because this is dishonest and disgusting. I will NEVER go back to this location again, and I strongly suggest others think twice before spending their money here. If this is how they cut corners in front of customers, imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

I just clocked out of an overnight shift & this is the first location that denied applying a first responder discount because “they do so much with rewards.” First responders do a lot each and every day we clock in? It’s a choice, but geez can we still feel love outside of the work place ? It’s a shame that this location decided to be an outlier. EMT’s, FIRE, PD go where you are love and received. The employees in the back, thank you for getting my bowls out in 2.5! Fast service from them. :)
