Absolutely delicious experience every time we go there. A gem in the heart of Bay Ridge. Some of our favorite dishes are fish tacos, octopus appetizer, street corn, shrimp quesadillas and high quality drinks. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, great music, this is our go to for Mexican food!
Beautiful place with excellent food at generous portions. Wish I lived closer I’d be here all the time.
This will be the go to Mexican place of the neighborhood in no time. Beautiful, minimal decoration, everything is new. I love how simple their menu is. We tried the guacamole and a few of the tacos. My girlfriend and I both loved the steak ones. And of course I had to drink a Tamarind Jarrito.. so good! To finish, we ordered the coconut flan. Incredible. The prices are not bad at all. Service was also very friendly and courteous. Thanks for an amazing dinner, we'll be back soon!
Oh my God sooooo freaking good!!! This has got to be one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve tried here in bay ridge. Everything was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Nice atmosphere cool waiters! 10/10 try it ASAP they have taco Tuesday specials and Margaritas for Thursdays.
Aleli has the best fish tacos in Bay Ridge! This restaurant is worth trying and supporting. They have a backyard which they plan to open soon and it is wheelchair accessible (ramp in front and large bathroom). They just got their liquor license (as of July 1, 2020).
Aleli. Quality. Careful choice of ingredients. And great spice combinations. And right across the street from me! So the cons: dessert menu only really has one item right now. I need more! But the coconut flan was rich dense and smooth. Good flavor and popped amaranth which is a treat. I got the spicy guacamole. Because guacamole, duh. They fry up the chips there. Perfect thickness and salt. Loved the guac. So many textures and flavor. A very nice blend. It's not very spicy either. Next was the memelita. This was a pleasant surprise. The shell here was made from scratch and grilled. It held up well to the vegetables and sauce. Beans were tender and creamy. Squash and mushrooms all came together with robust flavor. Def worth it. Does not need any meat at all to stand on its own. The chicken enchilado. Boneless thigh crispy fried. The meat has great flavor, no simple marinade here. A bouquet of bite sized Vegetable medley (purslane, cauliflower, fresh roasted corn, perfect carmelized Pearl onions, broccolini, roasted potatoes) with the most beautiful Chipotle sauce I've ever experienced. They won't share the recipe tho, this makes me sad. I did watch it get prepared but missed all the ingredients Being added. Its rich, floral, delicate, not overly Smokey or hot. I would put this sauce on everything. It makes me want to try every one of their sauces, which I plan to do soon. Yes. It's pricey. But. Every piece of produce was fresh and crisp . Every single Berry on my dessert was perfect, not a hint of age, no black, no mush, no mold and all sweet. You might wanna say it's luck, but not dead winter. Plus they're open 7 days a week.
Just great! Fresh and crispy fish tacos and generous pork tacos were yum. A/C is a little too cold .. but that’s a minor gripe :) my partner had the veggie Aleli salad - vegetarians will be happy here.
Spacious, clean smiling staff and the food is fantastic! Fresh, tasty and unique menu. Not a ridiculously large menu which I appreciate and enough unique items to make it a must come back type of place . Congrats!
Been coming here for a while now and it has never disappointed me. Good food great staff and good service. Their fish taco is good, agua chile, flautas de pollo his drinks are great and the staff is amazing. There walnut cheese cake is really good
The most authentic Mexican food you will get in bay ridge. The service was exceptional. This is the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico City. To start me and my girlfriend had the shrimp aguachile it was extremely fresh and delicious. Then I had the chicken enchiladas with mole poblano and my girlfriend had the short rib in mole rojo both were nothing short of excellent. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with high quality ingredients definitely stop by it will not disappoint.
First thing you notice is how exceptionally clean the restaurant is. It's always nice to eat somewhere that you can tell the owners and staff care about and respect. The guac was really well done and the chips also tasted freshly made. The fish taco is a must and the burrito while not my favorite still tasted very fresh and clean. Definitely plan to make another visit.
Been coming here for atleast 4 years. Excellent quality EVERY TIME! Menu has changed and so many delicious new things. vegan, gluten free options. Ive had numerous friend come and try the fish taco, chicken burrito and they always dance and seem to be in love! I loved the Tamale addition to the menu. And Drink!!! Theres a really nice pink drink/collorada.
Update: still amazingly fresh and delicious. Strong quality drinks. Always fresh and flavorful--presentation on point. I've dined here since the pandemic, and the quality has always been excellent. Ambiance is so peaceful and vibrant. The owners of this business are incredibly humble. They had to push their grand opening once the pandemic hit but I'm glad they persevered. If you're surprised it's a quiet spot, enjoy it while it lasts. Every dish is made delicately and bursting with flavour. And forgot to mention: ample vegan and gluten free options
One of the latest Mexican restaurants in Bay Ridge and I have been there twice in the last few weeks. The staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, food is good, and prices are reasonable. They had be at tacos.... I had my mind on getting some tacos and a cocktail recently and was so disappointed when they were full when I got there but then I saw the brunch menu and went back and I was not disappointed.

Ordered take out and the food and guac was fresh and delicious. Ordered in the past and it still gets 5 ⭐️! Will order again.
Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood that already had a bunch of taco places that are all exactly the same. 1st the service was great, the decor is modern with lots of plants. 2nd the food was awesome, we had guac, tacos, the shrimp ceviche type appetizer, quesadilla and the fish of the day (we love that it comes with veggies rather then rice and beans). I had to give up my fish taco to one of the kids who couldn't wait for his 2nd one to come. Drinks are great too. Will definitely return.
Amazing fish tacos!!! Chicken mole was delicious!! The octopus tostada delicious as well! The people that run the restaurant are the sweetest. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back often.
Been here a couple of times now and what can I say, one of the best higher end authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. Don’t be fooled by its pretty plain and minimal exterior/interior, the food here is exceptional. The tacos are fantastic, with the pork one being my favorite. The pork taco reminds me very much of a lamb taco from a trendy michelin-starred Mexican restaurant in a more “hip” part of north Brooklyn….except their taco is 18 dollars for two and Aleli’s is $3.75 each (you’ll know what restaurant I am comparing to if you’ve been there). Regardless Aleli is definitely worth your attention if you’re looking for some real authentic Mexican with great quality and some modern twists. Drinks are good too! Sidenote: I really hope they have the opportunity to redo the decor. The space has huge potential but just feels a little bare at the moment. Some light dimmers, some candles, some more tropical plants and maybe a larger wall mural will really transform this restaurant and do wonders.
Let me start by saying I’m so glad they changed their menu. When they first opened, I didn’t think they would survive based on their menu, and the prices. Then coronavirus hit, and I thought they might not be back. When they re-opened, they had drastically changed their menu, for the better imho. I’ve had quite a few of their dishes, and just the other day I had their burrito, which is what prompted this review. It was one of the best burritos I’ve ever had! Their chicken mole poblano, their chicken adobado, their tacos (I’ve had all of them except the chorizo), guacamole are all excellent. I wish they included beans with the adobado dish in particular, but this is a small complaint. They are friendly and food is fresh and very tasty. Bay Ridge has a few Mexican restaurants and a Cali Mexican restaurant in Hobrah, but in my opinion, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Bay Ridge...by far. You owe it to yourself to try them out.
A welcome addition to a neighborhood which has very few authentic Mexican places. Aleli is more on the "contemporary Mexican" side of things, a place you'd go for a beautifully prepared unique entrée that probably took all day to make, as there's so much complexity in the sauces. Chicken enchiladas were amazing — loved the pipián verde and toasted sesame seeds on top — it has all the components of a well balanced dish (salt, fat, acid, heat). My partner had the short rib, very different flavor but equally as good. Service was attentive and even brought over some additional napkins before we asked. Will be going back!
Best guacamole and homemade chips. Food is tasty with fresh ingredients. Cocktails are made with just the right amount of alcohol and favor.
My wife and I stop by while waiting for my daughter from girl scouts, and we find out it was the Happy hour 😃 so we ordered the strawberry margarita +guacamole +vegetable quesadilla, we were happily surprised with the real Mexican style flavor in both drinks and food. and when I said real I mean like if you were there in any place in mexico because now here NY there are so many "mexican" restaurants that are just an "american twerk " of mexican food. and I have to say I was skeptical in the beginning because this restaurant doesn't looks very Mexican from outside,, but now I want to come back to try other dishes and wishing having same experience.
Food is amazing. High quality, some interesting options. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area that we love and still do but this place raises the bar in some ways. Worth a try!
BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN BAY RIDGE!!! Authentic food, fresh ingredients, delicious plates, amazing customer service and great prices - 5 stars all around!!! We’ve eaten at so many other Mexican places and nothing compares to this spot. DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD!!!!
Delicious dinner at Aleli! Chicken nachos, enchiladas with mole poblano and shrimp tacos were fantastic. Wonderful service.
The best Mexican restaurant on Third Avenue! The food is delicious and not overwhelming (they don't drown your plate in beans and cheese, for example).
Excellent traditional Mexican food. Loved the octopus, seviche, and the fish tacos. Best Mexican food in Bay Ridge.
Tried this for the first time and I will be back. Ordered via app for delivery. Food prepared with very fresh ingredients. Delivered at appropriate temperature. Had burrito and Amelia salad.
Modern atmosphere with great traditional Mexican food can go wrong!! Very spacious. Food was great 👍 super clean!!!!
Seriously some of the most amazing Mexican I’ve had in Bay Ridge!!! Always freshly prepared! Great people, Alex and Juan are awesome!!! ! A hidden gem for sure!!
Delicious Mexican food, especially tacos. Friendly staff! Highly recommend
This place is really excellent, all the ingredients are fresh, servce is good, prices are good.
Ordered in from here and it was absolutely delicious. I had the vegetable burrito with a side of guac, and it was worth every penny.
Top of the line Mexican food. Fish tacos are 🔥🔥🔥
The tacos and guac are excellent. Tacos are Mexican soft taco style. Not Tex-Mex.
Delicious and authentic Mexican food! We had such a great experience, we ordered so many things and loved everything from the traditional guacamole, street corn, tacos and the burrito. The margaritas are so good and the ambiance is perfect for a large group or even an intimate date night. This place is a must try!!!
Rainy Saturday around lunch time and the other area restaurants were full or closed. Aleli was empty, which usually doesn't bode well, but we were hungry and done searching. We started with delicious guac and chips. A little salty which I happen to love. My three-year-old was also a fan! We also ordered a salad which ended up being huge and tasty. Other people in my party got fish and shrimp tacos. While I didn't get exact reviews on everything, I was told the fish tacos were great. I got the grilled fish of the day which was salmon. The salmon was crispy skin up, over a delicious sauce and nice mix of vegetables. Staff was attentive and helpful with all our questions/needs. I cannot understand why we were the only patrons, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back.
A gem of place! Not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. I came here on Labor Day and what a fantastic choice it was. Loved the spacious, simple and tastefully decorated space. Our waiters were friendly and attentive. We were a group of nine and getting served was pretty quick considering our size. The guacamole and chips, along with the corn on the cob was out of this world. I had the shrimp quesadilla and wow, my eyes just rolled backwards from how juicy, tasty, fresh and authentic it tasted. Lol!! I cannot recommend this place enough. You will not regret dining here.
So far the best Mexican Restaurant in the area that we have experienced. Owner is a gentleman, service is great, prices reasonable and food is fresh and excellent.
At first from the outside of the building it looks like a takeout place. Don't judge a book by its cover! Amazing authentic Mexican food! We had the steak and chicken tacos, and the chicken enchilada with mole sauce. The best Mole we've eaten. Everything was so tasty and you can tell that it was cooked with love. The Margaritas were also excellent. Service was great. We will definitely be going back and bringing friends.😊
We had such a Wonderful Evening here last night. ♡ From our Meal to the Appetizer and Drinks.. it was a Win Win for Us! Thank You So So Much and our Waiter was a very Lovely Youngman. We will be back soon and we Highly recommend Aleli! ~The atmosphere was very nice too!^^)/*
This is the second time at Aleli, which the owner said is a flower in Mexico. What a treat! Fresh, delicious, beautiful food! So reasonable too! This is good you’d get in Manhattan for twice the price. It’s also healthy and you actually feel great after eating there. It offers a nice variety of menu options not seen in traditional Mexican restaurants. I highly, highly recommend. I would suggest the owner brighten up the restaurant’s façade. It’s hard to see at night. Looked almost closed. The front should be as beautiful as the food and service was. Loved it!!!
Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had anywhere. The elote was fantastic, and so were the margaritas. The inside is very nice and clean. From what I could tell, masks and vaccine checks are being enforced. One tip for the owners: the lighting is a little too much. Maybe make it a little darker during dinner hours. We will be back for more!
The food is fantastic. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Very clean. They were a bit slow to take our order, but we had great friends with us, so the time did not matter.
Went to Aleli for the first time on June 27. Had red sangria, traditional guacamole and chips, and chicken mole poblano enchiladas. The food was perfect. The guacamole was fresh and delicious and the mole sauce was the best I’ve ever had in over 30 years of trying mole sauces at various restaurants. Highly recommend!
Really a delightful place!! Tasty & Tasteful ambiance! Staff is super pleasant and helpful w/tweaks to their dishes for diet restrictions. Food is Delicious!!! Highly recommend the Fish Burrito! But I wouldn’t worry about trying anything bc everything is done w/quality ingredients and care! Go, you won’t be disappointed!
What a fantastic restaurant! This is elevated Mexican food and every dish is outstanding. The corn is OMG -- whatever creamy avocado sauce that was on it was magic. The octopus tostada is so fresh. The fish dish is chef's kiss! The cocktails are knockouts, too: white sangria has hints of passion fruit (a very nice touch) and the tamarind whiskey cocktail is very tasty (and I am not a whiskey drinker). The service is perfect. Great brunch and happy hour too!
We ordered dinner from Aleli this evening and I must say we were very pleased with food. The octopus appetizer was excellent and the chicken burritos were awesome!!! If your looking for clean, authentic Mexican food Aleli is your place! We will definitely be ordering from them again soon.
Great quality Mexican food. The best Margarita
The restaurant staff was very warm and friendly. From my perspective, it seemed family-managed with a father & son present running the dining area. The prices for the dish were extremely fair being in Bayridge. In addition, the taste of the plates were very unexpected in a positive light with a slight kick to traditional Mexican recipes. Even the owner of the business was kind enough to take photos by the decoration with my wife to help promote his business being only a year in town. My score still stands at 5 stars only to some suggestions to the owner: a recommendation to invest in light dimmers. At times I felt our table was extremely well lit however that didn't really bother me as a diner but it could damper the experience to perhaps a couple going for a romantic ambiance. A second recommendation is to have condiments available at the table. It was unusual that salt, pepper and additional napkins weren't present at each table. My final suggestion is to decorate the restaurant further - the establishment has SOOO much potential. The walls are massive and it appears to be built well so take advantage with more decoration or artwork. Other than that, for a business only a year in town (especially a crummy year at best) I cannot wait to visit once more!
The food is amazing, the service was perfect!! Dont let the fancy presentation fool you, these are hardy "fill my belly" meals that make your mouth happy. And the prices aren't bad either. I had the fish tacos and steak burrito, delicious!!
AMAZING!!! Me and the family were in the neighborhood looking for a random place to eat and came across this gem. Everything was FRESHLY prepared and authentic Mexican food. I live in New Jersey and will definitely take the drive back to this wonderful establishment. We ordered the chips w/ guacamole, veggie burrito, rice and seafood, side of rice and beans.
This was hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Bay Ridge, if not in NYC. The short rib quesadilla was incredible and the enchiladas were perfection. The spice level is high, but so well balanced. The service was great and the staff was so friendly. And the guac? Perfection. All in all, very deserving of 5 stars.
Authentic Mexican cuisine. The appetizers are all bomb, especially the Octopus tostada and the shrimp aguachili. The vegetables are fresh and the tacos and quesadillas and entrees are all delicious
I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine. Food is delicious. I think this is the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in years. Sangrias are amazing. Service - they are so sweet and so polite. I enjoy going every time. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Please try their pollo adobado and white sangria. Delicious!!!!!5 ⭐️
I was hosting a small gathering for a virtual fundraiser on Cinco De Mayo. Really wanted to support this new local place. Read the reviews, placed my catering order and crossed my fingers it was as good as everyone claimed. Well...I am hooked! Fermin the manager took great care in helping me place the perfect order for my guests. They showed up on time and the order was correct. The food is seriously amazing. The chicken abodabo was crazy good...lick the plate good. The tacos were so delicious. Pipian Verde Yum! They gave us plenty of extra sauce, marked the sauces so we knew what sauce went with which dish etc. If the delivered food was that good I can't wait to go there and eat it hot out of the kitchen. Yes it's a little pricey but it's worth it and it's comparable to a nice dinner out. Welcome to the neighborhood Aleli!!
Refined Mexican food. Not your typical fare. Delicious, thoughtfully presented with great service. Short rib and coconut flan were excellent. If we could change anything, it would be to have warmer/lower lighting for a more romantic ambiance. Otherwise a great experience!
Had a wonderful and flavorful dinner. The food was fresh and prepared with care. The chicken adobo is highly recommended. The service was friendly and accommodating. I especially recommend Aleli for anyone who has celiac disease and needs gluten free options. Look forward to enjoying another dinner at Aleli.
Great Mexican food... Everything we ordered was so rich and tasty. The presentation of the dishes was amazing. My family and I will definitely come back here whenever we in the mood for incredible authentic Mexican food.
Got to meet the owner while waiting for my green and mole poblano enchiladas. Very nice chat with a man that’s making a humongous effort to keep this restaurant afloat. He started with 2020 and we all know what happened next and he’s still here. Great food we had. His high end Tequilas are also difficult to find even in good places in Mexico. This is very good food and whoever is expecting to find a cheap burrito better go to Taco Bell. Aleli surprised us with its delicious enchiladas. Coming back for sure. Felicidades!
Excellent food and drinks. Service just as good. Homemade Guacamole is out of this world. As for the 1 star review from Mike, he gave 1 star because of the price. People like you should stay home and eat frozen dinners. The prices here aren't really high. I don't know what he's talking about.
I ordered a vegetarian burrito for take out. It was literally the best burrito I've ever had. It was so fresh, not greasy or heavy and the blend of flavors was amazing. The restaurant has comfortable airy vibe and I will be sure to eat in soon.
On the recommendation of a few Bay Ridge acquaintances I went to try Aleli last night. Exactly as I was told, the drinks are amazing, and the food is fresh and flavorful. Pictured is the Grapefruit Mezcal and Octopus Tostada. My partner ordered two tacos, one meat and one chicken, and even as a non-meat eater myself I could tell how full of flavor and juice they were. The place is incredibly clean, very minimalist, and overall great environment.
I got a chicken burrito with guacamole to go and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect flavors, and portion size. Chicken was juicy and as a healthy eater I appreciate the spinach inside. The guacamole was tasty and fresh. Also the restaurant has a very modern and minimalist aesthetic that makes it great to dine in at any time of the day. I am coming back to try the tacos and enchiladas next. Great restaurant in Bay Ridge.
seriously some of the best mexican food you’ll ever have in brooklyn! been here a couple times and have yet to try something i didn’t love! every dish is fresh and perfectly seasoned. the owner & workers are so nice too. 10/10 will recommend time and time again!!!
Wife and my, 2nd Visit in two days. Just had to come back and try a couple new flavors. The Chorizo Memelita was mouth watering and warmed me up for the Traditional Quesadilla which was ordered on day one as well and Order of Empanadas that impressed. We both really enjoyed the Margaritas (Passion Fruit, Strawberry Tamarindo with big smiles and left fully satisfied.
I am Bay ridge born and raised and by far this is the only Mexican restaurant that makes authentic mexican food that has flavors that make you travel to Mexico with one bite. I have eaten practically everything on the menu and everything was amazing. I rarely see them busy which saddens me as I really want this place to last. I will say it is lacking an atmosphere. The owners need to just add something extra because it feels too plain inside. But I will say the food speaks for itself and I am glad there is an actual Mexican place in Bay ridge that I can visit any day of the week vs just taco Tuesday or for margaritas (Margaritas here are amazing too though). I hope more ppl discover this gem.
Aleli is hands down the best mexican food in bay ridge. They dont get the hype they deserve. Everything is so fresh and flavorful.
They have a good amount of pescatarian/vegetarian options. The food is always delicious, and the staff is great. The lighting seems a bit cold, and the decor is a bit sparse, but that doesn't really affect the dining experience.
Probably the best Mexican restaurant in the area. They have ample options and the tacos are amazing. They even have dishes that are not typical in most Mexican restaurants such as Aguachile and Sopes. It’s usually not packed so you can almost always get a table immediately. They have Taco Tuesdays, 3 tacos of any protein for $15 which is good and Margarita specials on Thursdays!
I had 3 tacos. Amazing. So so good. My partner had chicken enchiladas. Excellent. Our friend had short ribs in mole. Superb. I also had a delish and yet strong margarita. We can’t say enough! Went here after viewing Dyker Heights holiday lights.
Had the enchiladas, steak and fish tacos, flautas, wine, and a delicious cocktail with tequila and passion fruit. Everything was really fresh, well seasoned, and service was gracious (we have a toddler) and fast! Definitely will return, and would recommend to families with little ones (they have booster seats)

Fresh appetizers, rice and beans well flavored and good tasting tacos. The quesadilla was okand the chicken enchiladas tested good, but the chicken inside was a bit dry.
We waited over an hour for our food, not sure if it’s a tactic to get you to buy more alcoholic beverages while you wait for your food. I don’t drink, but friends do and they only kept asking do you need another drink. The guacamole and chips arrived 30 mins late, The guacamole was delicious however, I wish the chips would have warmed would have been amazing. The food came out a little after and hour. The servers weren’t attentive never came to inform us of the delay and when I asked they said in another 10 mins, I could not understand place was not crowded. When Food arrived it was good, but just warm not hot. I don’t think I would go back. They seemed to be getting lots take out orders and uber pick ups. If the service was better and at least keep you in informed of your meal or wait time, it would have been appreciated. Not worth the wait. They need better customer service. It’s a shame because I wanted to try more of their dishes.
We waited over an hour for our food, not sure if it’s a tactic to get you to buy more alcoholic beverages while you wait for your food. Fresh appetizers, rice and beans well flavored and good tasting tacos. The quesadilla was okand the chicken enchiladas tested good, but the chicken inside was a bit dry.
Food was good but my order took way to long with no communication from the server. Also a little to oily on the tacos.
Super friendly and attentive service. Came for happy hour and I tried the pina colada which was the best I’ve had in bay ridge so far. I also had the carnitas taco and shrimp taco I recommend them. Spicy guacamole and chips were great too, I’ll definitely come back!
After a disappointing visit a long time ago, I was recently convinced to return with friends. Happy to report that we had a great time! Good food, attentive service. I am glad that I gave it a other chance.
If you are looking for a great taco in Bay Ridge, look no further. Can't wait to return and try the Aguachile and Mole.
Good Food, Good Service! Really pleasant owner working the bar! I enjoyed the Vegetarian entree with the green sauce - Verde. A tasty blend of greens in a smother in a puree. Yum! The lights stay bright which give a cantina feel more so than an atmospheric restaurant. Simple selection of healthy plants for decor!
Atmosphere very very pleasant and lovely. Service was very good. Food was also very good although the flan was underwhelming. Somehow the waitress and according to her, the owner, could not figure out how to split the check between two credit cards, which we found rather unusual. all in all a very good experience. It’s really a very attractive restaurant with very nicely prepared and well presented food.
Good place and delicious food. I ordered a table for a birthday celebration and agreed all the details with the manager, when the guests arrived, he changed his mind to serve us at the agreed price. This is not professional.
The food here is fantastic one of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The service is terrible the waitress has the worse attitude I have ever seen. I don’t even understand how she is working there. So nasty and rude, the food is so good it’s a shame the waitress is so nasty.
Truly one man can’t do it all - last Friday settled here for an early evening dinner. Started with fresh guacamole. After longer than usual wait entrees arrived. Her chicken enchiladas were room temperature and my short ribs were little better. Couldn’t flag down waiter/owner who was preoccupied at the bar. No one else to be found. Paid but left only half filled. Come for the appetizer and drinks if you can get them.
I used to really like this place! Unfortunately I ordered a tres leche. It was brown, gross and tasted stale. When I asked the owner what it was made with. He replied condescendingly and also refused to do anything to fix the situation after my mention of the stale cake. He also.mentioned that the chef added extra milk, which was probably an attempt to cover up the stale cake. $13 for a dessert that I left behind. Unfortunately service isn't their top priority. The dinner was yummy and flavorful the dessert was disgusting.
The first time I ate here, I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a nice addition to the neighborhood. All I can say is never go there for Cinco de Mayo. They had a abbreviated menu...okay, I get that. It was more crowded than usual which makes sense, but not crazy. There were still a few empty tables. Our drinks got there in good time but it was so watered down. In fact, the couple behind us had them bring over more alcohol to add to their drinks! Also they upped the price for the tacos. Guess they knew they could capitalize on the holiday...so they did. Speaking of the couple behind us, they arrived 15 mins after us but were served their drinks, appetizers and meal in the 45 minutes we spent waiting for our tacos. Yup...tacos. Not even entrees. We were the only table not given table settings or water. We asked twice before we did. We did get our chips and salsa within the first 10 minutes...but nothing for the next 30...nor even when we asked where our meal was. Literally none of the staff checked on us. After seeing the way they bent over backwards serving the couple behind us...then seeing them get their meal, we left. I did pull the manager aside and told him how awful the service was. He just looked flustered, said he was sorry and that was it. Their food is good, which is why they get 1 star. But service leaves a lot to be desired-and service is 90% of the restaurant experience. Do better Aleli. Unfortunately. I won't be back.
The owner of this establishment bullied me for ordering one fish taco. Was complaining about firing up the fryer for one taco, Instead of being rude snd saying unnecessary comments set a minimum. Be kind to your customers. Will not be supporting anymore.
The food was perfect, authentic Mexican, and full of flavors. However, they are disorganized, and the restaurant does not follow the schedule. We came on time, but the restaurant was closed.
Absolutely horrible service from this place. I placed an order for pickup. I get there and Made sure my order was correct with the woman. She showed me the wrong order and I corrected her. only to find out that my order was completely wrong. I had already gotten home when I found out my order was wrong. I called to have the correct order delivered to me. After waiting an hour and a half with no delivery yet, I called to see where my order is to which I got the response that my house was “too far to deliver and I got the right order anyway” which I didn’t. They are completely unorganized and I do not recommend.
Went tonight and food was not good my empanadas were made with blue corn masa the chicken cutlets were not fried must be a new chef but the food was disappointing had to send it back. The consistency is just not there we did love this place at one point but its hit or miss with the constant change of chefs who have no idea what they are doing .
Waited over an hour for delivery. I ordered 3 items but they delivered only 2. Called the store. They put me on hold for a few minutes and then hung up. I called back, and explained. They already knew an item was left and said it was in its way. About 45 minutes later, I called back and asked where it was. I said I would take a refund. They said they’d give me a refund and I asked how, as I used Uber Eats. She said they will do it on the app. Then they called back and said they can’t do it on the app but they can give me a credit. Told them no thank you, as I never want to have “this” experience again for food that was average.
