The consistency here justifies perfect ratings always. The food stands out for being fresh and well-made in a setting focused on speed. Each bite offered wonderful taste. The people at Bebe Fritay offer both visual and service satisfaction. I'm impressed by Bebe Fritay consistently!
Very good Fritay. Good bang for the buck. The food is very flavorful and tasty.
I love my Haitian good food and NO I'm not being bias since I am Haitian by the way 🇭🇹,I would say 1 of the best in Brooklyn, yes i said it one of the best they have everything you want in a modern-day medium range restaurant, right there on location right on the corner of church Ave, yup the 🚌 stops are not that far from there, for my fellow new Yorkers who don't drive, I like how they have a sitting area, it's a nice bar setting area with some bar stools over looking the street corner,so if you like to people watch while you stuff those delicious Haitian sensation spices down your mouth lol.The food was fast 🏃♀️ 😋 and plentiful do you see how big my plate was that was just 15 dallers deff worth it, they make me proude.
I don't speak Creole so my friend did the ordering for me,but the Haitian Patty was amazing, one of the best patties I've had so far, the patty had boiled eggs in it too which made it even better.
It’s my first time going there always wanted to go , but never was close-by and I ordered as soon as I got in I’ve ordered the Fritay tassot goat and white rice , Sos pwa, and chicken with sauce those were to separate orders , it didn’t take long , the lady (Idk if she’s the owner) but she was so polite and I love good food , the food was so tasty it was worth the money 😋 so thank you !! I’ve been wanting some Haitian food for awhile since I can’t always make it to my parents house 😍
Anytime you're in Brooklyn and you want some good Fritaille, This is the place I recommend. The prices are reasonable, The portions are generous and most important, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! I can't say that enough. The staff is very friendly and they take care of the customers. I always stop and pick up food on way uptown. They're on UberEATS as well.
I wanted to try Haitian food so my friend took me here. I tried the fritay which is basically a mix of fried Haitian foods. Its very similar to other Caribbean foods. My favorite thing was the pikliz it was the perfect topping. It has a vinegar taste to it but its spicy. I loved the pickly and spicy taste it added. The meats were really good I had the griot pork and sausage. There’s also onions in there to add to the flavor. There were fried plantains in there. I had the cola drink too. Service was good. This is a small shop but I love how they represent Haiti with the decor. Overall, this was really good dish. It definitely filled me up. I love the mix of savory, spicy, and pickly flavors.
The food here is very good but im warning you right now, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT get the fried plantains because they are NOT made to order! I was starting and very disappointed when I but into one and it was hard as a rock! How does this place have multiple locations but they don't fry thei plantains to order? I guess their clientele doesn't care. I had pork and fried yams... the pork was wells seasoned and I ate it was their pepper sauce which apparently is a Haitian specialty but hard plantains that were sitting around for who knows how many hours really put a damper on the experience. Oh. And the counter girl doesn't understand English so go with someone that speaks their language or get ready to Google translate smh!
I was in the mood for Haitian food, which i LOVE, so on the recommendation of a friend, I visited Bebe Fritay for the first time. I do not live in the area. The food was terrible. I ordered a medium griot, rice and beans and plantain to go. I got a large portion of rice and beans which was made the West Indian way (reddish rice and beans) not the Haitian way. The rice and lukewarm and some of it was hard indicating that it sat around for too long. The griot and very dry. I also got a covered cardboard cup which i thought was my plantain. Sadly, it did not contain any plantain. It was a reddish, spicy sauce. Maybe to pour on the dry griot?? Who knows? There was no plantain at all. And the woman behind the counter gave me a spoon instead of a fork and no napkins. Very disappointing $15.00 meal. Next time, I'll stick to the Haitian restaurant I normally visit.
Worst experience ever. First time going to the shop and the light skin lady had a whole attitude. I showed her my order on my phone and she talking about show her the name. I told her that it’s not showing can she show me. She talking about she only work here so I’m telling her if she work here can she show me where I should go where my name will will show on my order cause it’s my first time ordering here. Then she wants to say I have an attitude and I told her that she had a whole attitude before I even spoke to her. My man called the number on the app for assistance with an order and it was literally ringing while we inside and they weren’t even picking up. So I asked for a refund and they denied me a refund so I called 911 while we are still inside the lady is speaking in Haitian Creole talking about we talking loud and insulting so when I started recording she stopped talking and try to hide from the camera. I will not be coming here ever again. And if your workers have an attitude at work they should go home. The ladies attitude was terrible and disgusting.
The first thing I noticed was how unclean the place was. They had chicken/meat just sitting in the sink, which is extremely unsanitary and honestly concerning. The NYC Health Department really needs to take a look at that, because it’s not safe at all. On top of the hygiene issues, the service was terrible. The lady taking orders had an attitude from the start, and while I was placing my order, she let another customer skip me mid-order like I wasn’t even standing there. After making me wait about 15 minutes, she still got my order wrong. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. This is exactly why so many young Haitian-Americans avoid these Haitian restaurants. They seriously need better training in customer service and professionalism.
This specific location always have their uber eats ordering off and when you call to ask if they are open they are sooo rude. I do not recommend, spend your $ elsewhere.
Overpriced and tasteless food. The place is dirty. They have no menu or a set price. You go there expect to be ripped off and walk away with tasteless food. They have a pending grade. Wish I could give it a zero rating
Disgusting 🤮the fritay was horrible, no plaintain, no Akra. Griot tasted like it was sitting out for days. I wish I could give a zero star. Health department needs to close this place down.
I purchased griot rice and beans and a side of patata and wow I was craving Haitian food for weeks and decided to give them a try and it was terrible the griot was hard and the pieces that were soft were pretty much fat the meat taste absolutely sour like it was old the rice and beans were ok not good just ok 🙁 I ordered patata but I received something else that was fried and tasted horrible ! Willl never again purchase from here I hope that I don’t get sick
The worst experience I have ever had. The lady who served us did not know what she was doing. I asked for a large Friday, everything could not fit in one plate. I asked to put the rest in a second plate, she said I would need to pay for the plate. Si pou moun mache ak bol yo di sa. The attitude of the staff was rude. I told her I would just pay for the bowl. She got upset and said she’s going to put everything in one bowl. I insist that she give me the bowl she did not. She stuffed everything in one bowl. I ended up leaving and not even taking the food. I would not Recommend.
The food is nothing special. Their herring patties are the only good item. Their uber service is horrible. If they don't have an item that you ordered, instead of calling you or cancel the order, they take it upon themselves to send you their nasty tasting food that you didn't want in the first place
