Avis sur Bombay Heights Brooklyn
Despite the very downtrodden appearance from the street (honestly, you'd think the place has been abandoned!) the welcoming wooden interior is a nice surprise, with Indian tapestries and cultural touches everywhere. Most of the dishes we've had have been excellent, including the veggie samosa and onion fritters for starters, the mouthwatering and fragrantly spiced lamb korma, the tender, juicy salmon tandoori on a sizzling platter served with spinach. The chicken 65 was nice and spicy. The lamb vindaloo was disappointing compared to what I've had elsewhere. The lamb is top notch and tender, but the sauce was simply too bland. The chicken Tikka masala is very good. The naan with melted butter and hot to the table is the perfect thing to soak up the sauces. I highly recommend Bombay Heights. Update: January 2026 Prices are up, like everywhere else, but the food is just as good. Best Indian food in Brooklyn!
I ordered the butter chicken! It was excellent!!! Came with several sauces that I never had before all were very good
I chose to celebrate here and wasn't disappointed. This stands above all similar options. This restaurant has both location advantages and good staff. Pleasant employees. I'm already planning my next reservation.
I Love B.H.!!! I've been a customer of Bombay Heights for over 5 years and they never disappoint. I've done it all, delivery, take-out, and dine in, all great. Their dedication to great service, flavors, and portions are unbeatable. I always tell friends new to the area that for Indian cuisine there is no other spot! Get the "Daily Special"!
Okay this is the BEST Indian restaurant, maybe even my favorite restaurant in NY. The taste is super! They do brown rice too and it’s not overly priced at all like a lot of others can be. The ambience is lovely in there - a bit like the classic British/Indian restaurants. - with low lighting, pretty wall paper and pictures. The only one in the USA I’ve seen like this. Highly highly recommended.
They have a daily special, which has a vast selection of Indian dishes available to choose from. I chose the Boti Kebab (marinated cubes of lamb), Goat Rogan Josh (a curry), Lamb Dal Gosht (lentils with meat), and Mughlai Paratha. It came with some cups of colorful, flavorful sauces. Everything was very tasty. My favorite was the Mughlai Paratha, which is a flatbread stuffed with spiced minced meat.
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in an exceptional Indian meal that exceeded all expectations. The butter chicken was undoubtedly the highlight – rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, it was the best I’ve ever had. The pani puri was equally impressive, offering a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The accompanying sauces were outstanding, each boasting a unique and delicious profile that complemented the dishes perfectly. I also tried two different types of naan, and both were absolutely amazing, fresh, and packed with flavor. This meal was a true culinary experience, showcasing the vibrant spices and diverse offerings of Indian cuisine.
We had a wonderful dinner here last night. Service was great. Food was delicious. The sauces they give you at the beginning were better than any of the other ones I’ve tried at other Indian restaurants. We tried the Ka-Chori appetizer and chicken samosas. I had no idea what to expect from the Ka-Chori, but it was literally amazing. Try it! Samosas were also delicious! Tikka and biryani cooked great. Highly recommend!
Is a really great place! Is not the first time I come here, gentle service, great flavor and very fair price! At midday you get 25%off and they invite me a super delicious desert! It was like rice and milk but maybe with some mango flavor I am not sure. I ate butter chicken, their naan bread and the pani poori is super crispy and delicious as appetizer. 💚💚💚
Ordered for delivery and while it did take forever, the food itself was so good I didn’t even care about the long delivery time. Very flavorful & the chutneys they give you are addicting!!
I like the food from here it’s pretty good , ordered pick up a few times the chicken dilder & the garlic nannn is great . Just some advice , try to order an hour and a half before closing . I made the mistake of ordering last minute & because of that I think they gave me the protein that was already cooked rather than the chicken , which it probably takes longer to cook. I was suppose to get chicken and I got goat. 😂. I messed up ordering at like 9:15 & they close at 10. So don’t do what I did . But overall the food is alright & it’s pretty affordable .
Ambiance (3/5): A bit a colored dark lighting inside with lovely ethnic music. Enough space inside to enjoy and accommodate large groups together. Attention to management: Consider figuring out how to configure your TV screen, which you guys use to play YouTube videos which has distracting ads. You also use the screen to complete customer orders so it’s a bit distracting. Service (3/5): Service was a bit slow as it was primarily one person providing table service and completing the online orders. We always had to ask for more water refills. The server seemed like a genuinely great guy with patience. Food (4/5): Table pita was fresh/crunchy and went well with the dips Samosas (5 pc) (4/5): tasty and filled with a good amount of stuffing Lamb Josh Rogan (5/5): The lamb chunks were extremely tender! While the spices were flavorful, I wish there was a more of a kick to the spiciness. Chicken Tikki Masala(3/5): Their tikki recipe was overly sweet which was not to my liking. Dishes are super affordable compared to competitors ($16-18/ non-veg plates)
Food is always great, but for the love of God, don’t get anything delivered. It’s Sunday night, and I had a long day. I didn’t feel like picking up, so I ordered for delivery. I’m literally a block away—1 hour and 40 minutes. I could have gone over to the kitchen, cooked it myself and got back here quicker. Food is always great, but I could fly to Rochester quicker than their delivery service can deliver to a block away.
If you like Fox News you should eat here! They have a TV going in the dining room with Fox News. I learned so much. Who knew the mainstream media has been lying to us about so many things? Otherwise, you can enjoy some totally mediocre Indian food that costs a little bit more than it probably should and takes way longer than you thought it would. When I was there to pick up in person, the number of seated diners (2) was vastly outnumbered by the helmeted delivery drivers standing in the the dining room (6-8 at all times). That’s a little depressing, but this isn’t really a place anyone goes to sit down and eat. As evidenced by the fact that no priority is given to the in house diners. Their order goes in the cue with all the takeout orders, and they sit at the table waiting for their food to be made, typically 30+ minutes, watching the uber drivers pick up bag after bag of food for someone else. . It’s no way to run a restaurant, but these guys are the only indian food option for a mile and a half in any direction, so you make do with what you’ve got.
this is not about the food itself but i wouldn’t recommend bringing a date here. they have ads playing with the music they put on. service was mad slow. online order machine beeping incessantly. they seem understaffed and stressed. the place itself is cute but the vibes was not it. id rather there be no music than have to listen to cheap ads while im eating. hopefully the food is good!
Worst Indian food in the city. If you are looking for Indian authentic food, this is not the place. Modified the food for other taste palates rather than keeping it authentic and it tastes so bad. PS: They have stopped serving Pani Puri and many other dishes
As soon as we walked in, the ambience was very dull. The manager/server was rude to us from the very start. The appetizers were a huge disappointment followed by the main course. We ordered chicken Tikka and naan but he got us dish which was dry. When we tried clarifying this, he became extremely defensive and said it was our fault for placing the wrong order. I do not recommend this place at all. The food was extremely underwhelming and so was the service.
I walked in. There’s one customer and all the staff are in the back how welcoming! I don’t want to Work to spend money at your place. I left.
Worst indian food I have ever had - not authentic . The Chicken Tikka Masala had so much sugar in it , it reminded me of the sauce on Spaghetti-Os... Chicken samosas were totally dry and tasted old.. Never again .
