I love how they serve you on ceramic plates and you get your coffe in a cup INCLUDING a plate. It adds so much to your overall experience. As a pastry, I had the Dulce de Leche Kouign Amann and you have to try it!!! It’s so good. The cafe is also a good study spot. Plenty of space and so bright. I went on a Saturday and there was a line, but I could find a seat without a problem. Honestly the best latte I’ve had in a really long time.

From the moment I walked into the store, the aroma of Colombian coffee was unmistakable—rich, unique, and truly incomparable. As always, I ordered a cappuccino and banana bread. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly, making the short wait in line totally worth it. When I got my cappuccino, the foam was perfectly creamy, just the right texture. The balance between the coffee and milk was simply incredible—a medium roast with a slight acidity that brought out the best flavors in every sip. Paired with the banana bread, it made for an unforgettable experience. Once again, Devoción never disappoints. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for another amazing coffee experience! ☕️✨

Great place for a coffee stop in Brooklyn! When I was there the line was pretty long, but it moved fairly quickly. I got an iced latte and some beans to go. This isn’t the kind of place to get a super sugary coffee so if that’s what you want this isn’t your place. They do have some simple syrup and honey you can add yourself but that’s it. The aesthetic is beautiful with skylights and a ton of greenery. Coffee was great quality— honestly some of the best I’ve had— and I would’ve loved to stay and hang out if there had been any seating.

Stopped here for coffee during my stay in NY. My cortado was great, so was the guava croissant, had the just perfect sweet level for me. Atmosphere is a plus, big ceiling windows light up the whole place and make everything even more lovely. Maybe that is what keeps them busy. Had to wait for a table after we got food but no biggie at all, as long as coffee is good, everything is good.

Great design, excellent coffee, staff a bit intense, could be kinder when asked a simple question about a glass of water on a first visit. Everyone on laptops, wifi provided with receipt. A little strange if you just stop for a quick coffee.

While the coffee itself was quite good, I had some concerns about the overall atmosphere. The flavor of the coffee was rich and smooth, just as I expected from a well-regarded café. However, the store had an off-putting, moldy smell, which really affected my experience. It seemed like there might be an issue with the air circulation system, as the smell was strong enough to be distracting. I hope they address this, because with better air circulation, it could easily be a top-tier café. Would still recommend the coffee, but I’d suggest maybe grabbing it to go.

Devoción has moved! Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve had with them. I usually stop by Devoción whenever I’m near Domino Park, and I’ve always appreciated their coffee and brewery. I was actually excited about the new location and even brought my friends with me in a good mood. I understand it was raining yesterday and the café was packed, but that should never be an excuse for being rude to customers. 1. When I placed my order at the counter, the staff almost throwing the receipt at me. 2. I ordered a mocha latte instead-they told me they don't have matcha, but what I received looked and tasted like a plain latte. When I asked if it was actually a mocha, I was told “Yes, that’s mocha.” it wasn’t, I brought the paper receipt and asked again and the same staff to squeeze chocolate syrup into my cup right in front of me and say, “It’s mocha.” This kind of service is unbelievably unprofessional and disrespectful. Overall, coffee was good and I’ve always enjoyed Devoción, but after this experience, I won’t be returning—nor will I be recommending the new location to anyone. I feel so sorry to my friends.

This was our first time visiting Devoción, and while the space itself is trendy and modern, the experience left us with a bad impression. For context, when I try a place for the first time, I usually don’t tip upfront so I can keep the experience as unbiased as possible. When we walked in, the staff didn’t greet us with a smile or even a simple “welcome.” We ordered two lattes and one aromatic iced tea. The total came to $19.87, and I paid $20 in cash, telling them to keep the change. As I walked away, I overheard the woman at the counter mocking the “no change” part to her coworker in a snarky tone. Since we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, that moment really soured the visit. It also left us uneasy about the tea, since it was made after that interaction. On the positive side, the drinks themselves looked good — the lattes had nice designs and the tea presentation matched the $5.25 price. The service was quick, and they let us know the tea would take a few minutes, which was fine. But the way we were treated overshadowed everything else. Because of that, I wouldn’t come back or recommend this place. The drinks alone don’t make up for being treated poorly.

Today I ordered an Americano, and when I opened the lid I noticed a visible oily layer on the surface. This is by no means normal for this type of coffee. When I approached the barista to ask what it was, her reaction was to look at me as if I were saying something completely absurd and reply, in a dismissive tone, that “it’s absolutely normal, coffee can have that kind of grease.” I was genuinely taken aback. When I asked again, the cashier stepped in and repeated exactly the same explanation. Then, they looked at each other and laughed. Laughing at a customer for asking a perfectly reasonable question is not just disrespectful — it shows a clear lack of professionalism and a level of immaturity I have rarely seen. Naturally, I threw the coffee away and will not be returning. I was with a group of 15 people who witnessed the entire scene and were just as shocked as I was. This happened today at 11:35 a.m. I don’t know the employees’ names, but I certainly would not hire either of them to work in a customer-facing role in a café. Laughing at a customer? Absolutely deplorable. A deeply disappointing experience that reflects very poorly on the establishment’s standards.
