The decor is really cute and very well done! The food was also fantastic! I got the El Capitan burrito with truffle hash browns on the side and it was absolutely phenomenal. I saw the chicken sandwiches pass by my table and they looked delicious as well. The service was stellar and very attentive! Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch if you’re ever around Williamsburg :)
I’ve never gotten goose bumps from eating a Becky (bacon egg n cheese sandwich). I’ve had more expensive sandwiches that were not 1/2 as good. I messed up and got a reservation. I dono if it gets super busy but here at 10am on a Sunday you don’t have to risk the $25/pp fee if you cancel less than a reasonable 2hrs before your time seating. Menu is short and sweet. Got my Becky on a brioche + avocado. The pepper bacon is 🏆. The bun is pretty hot when it’s served. I think they throw the whole sandwich in a broiler to melt the cheese. Place is cute too. I will be back early and often. Thanks egg shop 🎉👍
This place brought me back to life. I worked almost a 14 hour shift the night before and was starving the next day. I was also pretty new to the neighborhood and haven’t been cooking as much so when I saw they had Turkish eggs, something I love to make at home, I got so excited. The bread was perfectly crispy and buttered the labne tart and delicious and the eggs were poached to perfection. I’ve since been back multiple times and the vibes and food are always outstanding
Always a happy morning. The staff is sweet, the kind of people that make Brooklyn special. The food is delicious - the chilaquiles are mouth watering and can be made gluten free :) (if you are ok with a mixed kitchen). The coffee is wonderful too. A lovely spot to chat with friends or lovers, or bring a book and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere solo.
Wow, this place was great! First of all, I’m a matcha drinker. The matcha art was next level. I mean, it’s a silly thing to comment on but I’ve never seen art done quite this way. Second, we got the egg scramblers. Mine had chorizo. It was insanely good. Absolutely next level. Didn’t feel like scrambled eggs, didn’t taste like them. Also didn’t taste like chorizo, nor was there a side of chorizo. Instead the eggs just popped with flavor that was out of this world. We also got the biscuit with jam. The butter (some kind of cinnamon apple butter I think) was delicious and the jam was extraordinary. The biscuit itself was very crumbly but it got the job done. Highly recommend!
Wow wa wee wa the Turkish egg breakfast (5/5) is amazing! Perfect combination of Herby mint and parsley, smokiness from the pepper, and creaminess from the yogurt. The bread was also literally perfectly cooked. This is the best breakfast I've had in Willy-B. The spandex (4/5) is good and has a nice twist with the tamari, but I'm still dreaming about the Turkish breakfast. Service is also hyper nice. Totally recommend!
Hidden little restaurant in Brooklyn that is literally some of the BEST breakfast I’ve had in years. I’m a breakfast girlie, and this place was so good, we brought friends back less than a week after our first visit. And if that weren’t enough, the coffee was fantastic, and in my experience, it’s rare to find a restaurant that’s good at both.
The Egg Shop in Williamsburg is a gem that takes the art of breakfast to an entirely new level, and our Christmas Eve visit proved to be nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, the cozy, festive atmosphere wrapped us in warmth, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon was enough to make anyone’s holiday brighter. What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible service provided by Otis. Even on Christmas Eve, a day when most people are eager to get home to their families, Otis embodied the holiday spirit with his infectious energy and genuine warmth. He welcomed us like old friends, making us feel special from the very start. Otis’s menu knowledge was impeccable. When we mentioned we wanted something hearty but unique, he confidently recommended the Turkish eggs for my partner and the BEC for me. Both dishes were absolute perfection. The toast had the creamiest avocado spread topped with a perfectly poached egg, while the Spandex Bowl balanced wholesome greens with a rich, runny yolk that felt indulgent without being heavy. What truly stood out, though, was Otis’s ability to make us feel cared for on such a special day. He checked in with perfect timing, ensuring our coffee stayed warm and that every detail of our meal was flawless. When he overheard us mentioning it was our first Christmas Eve away from home, he surprised us with a small, complimentary order of their legendary biscuit bites, wishing us a happy holiday with sincerity that brought a smile to our faces. The Egg Shop’s food is outstanding, but it’s the people like Otis who make it extraordinary. His kindness, attentiveness, and holiday cheer turned what could have been a simple breakfast into a Christmas memory we’ll cherish forever. If you’re in Williamsburg, The Egg Shop is a must-visit, and if you’re lucky enough to have Otis as your server, you’re in for a truly special experience. This place, and its incredible team, embodies the magic of the season.
First time here and it was 10/10! Fun take on typical brunch options and coffee drinks☕️ had an iced lavendar matcha latte and cappuccino. To share we had the loaded hash browns with sour cream, chives, cheddar and bacon. The breakfast burrito with chorizo and the Turkish eggs. Everything was so insanely delicious! We had our dog with us and they cannot sit inside further than the bar area but there is outdoor seating with umbrellas where we sat. Losupha (I think that’s how you spell it) was our waiter and he was great! Brought our little guy out some water too. I can’t wait to come back and try other menu options🍳
Such a cute place and the service and food was excellent. The brisket chilaquiles were so good. The brisket was delicious and with the sauce and tortilla chips it was so much flavor. So good. We also got the truffle hash browns which were a thick pattie with truffle oil and pecorino and it was so yummy too! Def recommend this place. Fast, good service, and good food!
I stumbled upon this resturant and I am in love. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We sat inside and the decor was cool. There were hidden egg drawing so if you go notice the napkins, plates and artwork. I got a chicken sandwich with an egg and it was so good! They have hot sauce on the table which paired well. My friend got a breakfast burrito and it looked amazing. I highly recommend Egg Shop. I plan on going back.
The staff at the Egg Shop was super friendly, and I appreciated it was not super crowded on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant is all about eggs, but they do offer pancakes and salads if you want something different. I recommend the hashbrowns. The truffle and cheese make the hashbrowns yummy! Everything is fresh to order too.
Had a great brunch here a couple months ago! Everything tasted delicious. Keep in mind the entrees aren’t big, so you might want to order some sides and appetizers. Drinks were great. The only bad part was the hostess, she was terribly rude with some other guests for absolutely no reason.
