Restaurant was small in the basement but clean. Staff and owner was very friendly. Service was quick. Salad and soup was complimentary. Meal portion was huge. Food was fresh. Soup was delicious. Chicken Fahsa was exceptional. My friend ate lamb haneeth first time and she loved it. Brought half of the food at home. Loved the place. Would definitely go back.

While I notice that there are a couple of negative comments on the service, my experience regarding the service and the food is outstanding. I was there during noon. Highly recommended authentic Yemeni foods, and of course, it would not be the last visit. By the way, they have three different types of rice and opens 24 hours with fresh foods.

I'll keep it short and sweet. If you want to learn the art of hospitality then, you have to experience this restaurants service. The wait staff here is hard working. When you place your order make sure you know that you will want to go home with extra food because it's so delicious! =) This place is part of New York City history. This should be a national landmark in my humble opinion.

Love the food here. It’s not certified halal but the owner will tell you exactly where he buys the meat from and it’s halal authenticity. The tastes are great, the lamb haneeth, lamb fahsa delicious!! The appetizers are also really good. The vibe of the place is always cool as well. Stays open late as well.

The kind of dish that makes you forget the city’s chaos outside. Paired it with their long-grain rice, each grain soaking up the flavors, a testament to patience and tradition. The Tandoori Rashoosh flatbread? Fresh, warm, perfect for scooping up every last bit. And the Yemeni Sweet Tea, a brew that warms you from the inside, reminding you of distant places and times. Food was really good. I could have skipped the eggs on the beans , the hummus is better with the beans. I got real lamb with the rice which was good. A nice hibiscus drink to compliment the flavor of the food.

I've heard a lot about Hadramout and visited a couple of times, each visit offering a different experience. The first time was good, but the second time was disappointing. The food wasn't tasty, and the service was pretty bad. Although the ‘lamb Khabsa’ is usually really good, I noticed cleanliness issues during my second visit, with food scattered all over the small kitchen. I believe Hadramout can and should do better. With improvements, we could proudly visit them for the best Yemeni food! ✨🍲

We took one full kabsa for $34+tax =37. Look at the quantity; barely one person can eat it. We ate here previously, and it was more than enough for 2 people. Also, the taste got decreased. Totally disappointed; not recommended. If you want to taste kabsa, it is better to look at some other place. I don’t know about other things.
