I ordered the vegetable dumplings. Very unique way of making them. I'm not an expert on dumplings. Just been reading them at random spots for a couple of decades but these were very fresh tasting and definitely were homemade ones. If you are in the area yet it out. If you looking for cookie cutter dumplings then stay away.
The veggie dumplings are legit the best I’ve ever had. I also really like their beef dumplings which are really hard to find. I was a little disappointed in their veggie lo mein, but I still love this place! I usually grab a beer around the corner, wait for takeout, and eat in the park!
Maybe the best dumplings I’ve ever had!! The dry aged beef was beyond delicious! The pork noodles and pork dumplings are great as well. No frills, but who needs frills when the food is this good.
Windsor Terr location: Picked up pork dumplings and Happy Buddha vegetables dish. They were both very fresh tasting and delicious. Will def order again and try some other dishes. Took about 10 minutes to prepare my meal on a Tuesday evening around 7 pm. Not over salted like many Chinese spots, instead they rely on actual flavors and spices. The space was very clean, the workers even seemed to be distancing from each other when possible, wearing masks above the nose. Customers are asked to wait outside while they prepare the food for COVID safety, all the measures they take I appreciate.
Choice. Their kitchen delivers amazing flavors. The workers make the dining experience smooth. We enjoyed an outstanding evening!! This place validates its reputation.
I’ve been going for years . Found this place as a door dasher and it’s become my go to spot for dumplings. From the smaller space where you can watch the older woman wrap every dumpling by hand. the ribs are crispy and just enough sauce with sticky rice the dumplings are just juicy with a little crisp spilling over with flavor.
I had the beef dumplings. They were amazing!
Really good. The sweet chili ribs are tender, flavorful and juicy. Not a huge portion but just right. Dry aged beef potstickers are fantastic. Didn’t enjoy the spring roll through, the filling was too crunchy for my own taste.
Best har gow (shrimp dumplings) I've ever had! They're huge, made with fresh, clean, and quality ingredients, and come in a dumpling skirt! Really something else. I'd come here just for that. My husband loves their dry aged beef dumplings. Pretty unique. Even though they're small, they are dense and packed! They're surprisingly quite heavy to pick up with your chopsticks. The Sichuan cucumber salad was packed with flavor! I don't like bean sprouts but they changed my mind! Tried their juicy pork dumplings and they were not kidding. One bite and juice was getting everywhere, and I'm not a messy eater. Also got their strawberry bubble tea...yummm. Everything is so delicious, made fresh to order, and served piping hot!! Love that they play 90s Hong Kong music too and serve their dimsum in 90s dimsum paper plates. Super nostalgic for me. They also play videos on random traditional Chinese cuisine, which is interesting to watch.
We wanted to grab a quick bite before my wife had to go to a show in the city for work and I needed to make my way back home. It was the right amount of food and the right amount of time! It was also all very delicious! HEAT HOT but delicious as they are made fresh.
Can’t wait to come back to this area! This will be my go to spot for a quick bite. The food was very delicious and fresh The portion size were really good. Ribs were fire and you get a nice amount. Pork dumplings were ok and the cucumbers salad was really good. I love a short menu with not too many items. Makes making a decisions that much easier. Now I feel like I can go back and actually try everything on the menu!
Really excellent dumplings and buns. Food is high quality and service is quick. Perfect to take as a to-go snack to prospect park. Will definitely be back to try their dry aged beef dumplings.
Great little place with flavorful food made from fresh ingredients. Had the pork belly Bao, beef (28 day aged) pot stickers and shrimp dumplings. All were delicious and was surprised how much shrimp was stuffed into the little dumplings! Great place for an aftermovie (Nitehawk is now open) snack/meal. Will try large plates next time I'm here! They also have great japanese sodas and bubble tea which I will get next time!
Very good home made dumplings. Only thing was it was expensive for the amount of dumplings you get. The price won’t stop me from coming back though!
I got the juicy pork dumplings and the pork bao bun. The dumplings were fantastic and so juicy. And the right amount of crisp on the bottom. The order came with 6 and cost $7. Fair price to me. The Bao pork bun was good, but hard/messy to eat and even tho the sauce that came on it was yummy, they put way to much on and over powered the other flavors including the pork itself. But all in all was soo good. My Boyfriend got the pork sweet chili ribs and he was obsessed!!
We went for lunch yesterday and really enjoyed it. The taste, texture, presentation were all on point. The price point is a little higher then let’s say China town but it’s expected for the area and the quality was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff was masked and the restroom was super clean. They also have bubble teas and other specialty drinks. Definitely will try again.
I love this spot. If I could do half stars, it would be 4.7. Had to knock off a few points charging $3 for a bottle of water. Tried the pork bao bun which was also good. Not the best, not the worst. Pro tip- mix soy sauce & hot sauce = magic
With rave reviews in many magazines the actual quality here is just average. That being said with Zero competition in the area and decent eats, 5-stars for existing, the best near-dim-sum experience this part of Brooklyn.

Best dumplings I’ve ever had in NYC and there’s a lot of competition out there. Nothing comes close. Buddha’s vegetables are also delicious — a clean and flavorful meal. 11/10
What a meal! We walked in with a large group of ten - five were kiddos with a slew of allergies and tastes. The dumpling shop served us all with delicious flavor and patience. Before I knew it, the kids were devouring their delicious dumplings n rolls and asking for more. My fave - the sweet chili ribs are truly finger-licking deliciousness on the bone. So good. Such yum! Don't leave without ordering the hotcakes for dessert. They put a smile on everyone's face☆Thanks Chef!!!!!!!!!!!

I ate the the sweet chili sauce glazed ribs with rice and the cucumber salad. Both were tasty, though the cucumber salad stood out more, especially if we consider items within their own categories. The portions were on the smaller side, but I left full despite having skipped breakfast and lunch. Additionally, I would highly recommend the honey sour plum beverage. The staff was hesitant and explained that it was really rather sour and was I sure I’d like to order it. They decided it was best to provide me a sample just to be sure, which I accepted. The drink is a touch sour, plenty refreshing, and not so sweet as to coat the teeth with sugar, so overall I was happy to have tried the sour plum drink.
Pricey, but worth it! Lovely little dumpling shop in the Windsor area. The vibe is so cozy and the staff is so friendly and inviting. The dry aged beef is fantastic. If I could afford $12 dumplings every day I'd go for it–these are definitely leagues ahead of 50 for $1 chinatown dumplings. Worth a stop by!
I would consider this a Chinese bistro of sorts, not exactly Asian, but certainly not American. They definitely take their own take on every dish that they prepare I specifically like the Har gow, which I think might be my favorite I’ve ever eaten (shrimp dumplings). Their mains in the rest of the food is delicious, but doesn’t it really live up to the standards of their signature dish the Har gow. I also tried the ribs as an entrée, it was cooked pretty unevenly, some of the pieces were absolutely perfect while somewhere dry.
Great location off the Prospect Park SW, ideal for a quick pre or post Nitehawk movie perhaps for the budget conscious. Realized after it’s kind of pricey for what you get, 16 oz iced bubble tea and 5 pork dumplings was about $15 with tax. Dumplings were extremely tasty, crispy and doughy just how I like it. Was told it would take 10-15 min but only waited under 5. Worth checking out.
Just went there day before yesterday for the first time ! Tried their pan fried juicy pork dumplings and the sweet ribs with rice ! This was my first time trying pork dumplings , and it was really delicious ! The dumplings were juicy , tasted great and was good price as well! This place is famous for having one of the best dumplings in NYC! Definitely try their pork dumplings! The sweet ribs came with rice ! It was juicy too and tasted amazing but felt like $14 for such little rice was a little overpriced maybe! Other than that, the food was great ! #LetsGuide
Charming and tasty dumpling shop. Counter seating for solo-diner like me. Amazing smells from open kitchen fill the rooom. Staff was busy with takeout on a cold night, so my service was a little slow. That said, pork dumplings were doughy flavour bombs. Veg dish (always a test) brought taste and texture. Next time I'll try dry-aged beef dumplings.
Great spot. Very nice on the inside and very tasty food. I only had the dumplings and boa. Will def be back to try everything else. It is a little pricey tho. I'd love it if they had more options

I'd call this place good not great. Have been wanting to go here for years, but somehow never got around to it until today. Maybe it used to be better? We love dumplings and there's been so much hype about theirs but we were kind of disappointed. We had the fried pork ones. Really just a notch better than standard Chinese take out ones imo - and a whole lot smaller. Dough was kind of tough. We expected a really flavorful filling, with nice chunks of chives and a good sear on the outside but these weren't like that at all: just kind of bland and pale with no special flavors. The Deluxe Wonton Soup was tasty but not all that special either. The slab of pork belly in it was quite yummy, though. The sticky ribs are nice and so are the people working in the Park Slope location. Wish I felt more inclined to return.
Good quality shrimp dumplings, the price point is probably a little higher than what you get compared to other places, and I felt like the crust on the dumplings was not necessary and took away from the quality of the wrapper themselves. Overall, a nice part of the neighbourhood

I unfortunately have to give a 3 star for this place and I rarely post reviews that are not positive. Pretty overpriced ($8 for a tiny pork guabao, $12 for 4 hargow (even tim ho wan is only charging 7.75 :o). And they all lack flavors, especially the pork dumplings :( I really wanted to support a neighborhood store but this is a disappointment.

I orders to go, and it took a lot longer than I was expecting to get my food. I got bubble tea, which was fine. The food, though, was definitely not what I was expecting. The portions are very small for the prices, which would be fine if they were good, but I can't say I really enjoyed any of it. The pork bun was really sweet, and the vegetable bowl was soggy and bitter. Definitely won't return, which is a bummer because it looks fun from the outside.
East Wind is, at best, an average spot—not much to get excited about. The food feels no different than your typical takeout, and the flavors seem tailored to a Western palate rather than authentic Chinese cuisine. For anyone familiar with traditional Chinese food, this probably isn’t the place to satisfy that craving. In terms of value, East Wind feels overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. While I understand rent is high in the area, it doesn’t quite justify the cost for what you get. I was expecting a lot more based on the reviews I read, but this visit reminded me that magazine features and wall plaques don’t always guarantee quality. There are definitely better options nearby if you're looking for more authentic or flavorful Asian cuisine.
Overpriced even for this area. Tiny portions. Slow service when not busy. Not worth it at all. $8 for two small flat veggies spring rolls is sad. (Pictured)
Only had takeout but very mediocre. Thought it would be better based on the reviews but I wouldn’t consider returning. The noodles were completely stuck together as one noodle blob. I even arrived to pickup earlier than 15 mins and it seems like to sat for awhile. Not worth the money. I had the Shanghai belly noodles.
Came here based off reviews and was so disappointed...burnt dumplings on all three orders I placed to go. These burnt were not just by looks it also tasted burnt and it wasn't even busy. Taste was bland my son loves dumplings and didn't even finish his first bite. Just sorry I didn't see the dumplings until I got home.

I’m shocked that Chinese people could serve these dumplings with a straight face. These are the same gluey, doughy, wildly inauthentic dumplings that you get in a suburban Chinese takeaway joint 400 miles from here. Ask yourself: why should I eat these in Brooklyn? Answer: DON’T. 东风, I’m sorry. These are awful. You should be embarrassed.
I don’t know what happened to this place, like seriously. I went in today running off of nostalgia more than anything. I don’t mind paying $10 for 6 dumplings to support a local business. But it taste horrible. I ate two then just threw it away. The pork and chive just taste old and I’d seriously just give this to my dog. Can we fix this yall??
Unwelcoming experience going in, waited for over 30 minutes in person for some dumplings and a soup, and my dumplings were burnt and inedible. Ended up throwing it away, a waste of money and the soup was super oily with weird chunks in my soup. Not a pleasant experience, definitely tasted like food you would eat and like super drunk lol.
