Great drinks. Pleasant garden, at least when not too crowded. (Don't come for the food)
Been coming here for many years and it’s one of my favorites. It is a rare place in that it can seamlessly adapt to your drinking needs. Great cocktails; but can also be your highlife and shot combo spot when you want that. Service has always been wonderful.
super friendly staff, great local haunt. they had just decorated for halloween when i went. this is a great place to go to avoid the madness of clubs and loud bars where you can’t hear yourself think
a+! i celebrated my birthday at left hand path and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. the vibe is chill and cozy and the frozen painkillers were dangerously delicious. highly recommend!
Love this bar. Probably my favorite in Bushwick. Good selection of both niche and crowd-favorite beers, relaxed vibe with great lighting, and a spacious backyard area. Maine Beer Company often on tap. Bartenders are always nice. Good times.
One of my favorite spots in Bushwick. Great cocktails, a solid beer list with local options, and a backyard that’s perfect when it’s nice out. The bartenders are friendly, know their stuff, and make it easy to find something you’ll actually like.
Great bar with great vibes and great backyard. Back seating area is nice too because the music doesn’t play crazy loud. Good place to be able to talk to each other but still drink and have fun. Playlist was good too. Underrated spot
Really nice ambiance, they always play great music, friendly staff, and they have a good selection of mostly local brews. My girlfriend and I love to go for happy hour and sit in their backyard patio in the summer time. We always have a great time. Also the dumplings are great, a little pricey for what you get but really tasty. I hear the cocktails are tasty as well but I haven't tried many.
Beautiful patio in the back to enjoy some fresh air! Bar tender let us in on happy hour deals even though we were a few minutes after 7.
Went in around happy hour time (6pm) on a Thursday but there were no happy hour specials in sight / offered. I ordered the Silver Negroni ($13) which was pretty delicious and interesting. It did seem like the drink was on tap as opposed to a freshly mixed cocktail? There was no “making” of the drink and it was not specified that it was pre mixed on the menu. I asked about the gentian liqueur which was one of 4 ingredients in the drink, and the bartender said they weren’t sure if that was still a part of the drink anymore. Though this was a confusing experience to say the least, the bartender was very kind and let me taste some gentian liqueur when I asked about it. The bartender was also very kind to some interesting requests made at the bar by other patrons. Not your average snobbish Brooklyn bartender. Also, good music.
Super cute spot that is a perfect date vibe with pretty solid drinks. Only reason for the lower stars is that the outside area (which is incredibly cute and inviting) allows open smoking. It wouldn’t be such an issue if it was an open top, but as there is a roof, the smoke ends up just circling around. There are tons of “no smoking” signs, but when I brought it up to the bartender, she said “oh we just have those up for DOH. We don’t actually enforce that.” So, like I said— super cute spot and wish we could enjoy the backyard, but if you’re seriously averse to cigarette smoke like myself, just enjoy the inner establishment!
I went here on Friday October 17th for my birthday around 11:30pm to get a couple drinks to celebrate with some friends. When approaching the bar to order drinks the female bartender working immediately put her finger in our face to signal us to wait. She then proceeded to respond rudely to a friend of mine ordering that wanted a mock-tail and said she doesn’t have the ingredients with no alternative options before walking away mid conversation. Later in the night when my friends surprised me with a birthday cake my boyfriend politely asks the same bartender for a knife for the cake and her response “I’m not going to give a knife to you people” (we were the only people of color occupying this bar). After all of this I tried to salvage the night and have a good time regardless. When I attempted to close out the tab to get my card she insisted she returned it to me personally when that did not happen and was given to someone else in my party of friends. Then proceeds to laugh about the mistake in my face to another customer at the bar. This used to be one of my favorite neighborhood bars that I was excited to bring my friends to for the first time. I’m deeply disappointed and will not be coming back again as I no longer feel comfortable.
Unfortunately, despite the numerous no-smoking signs 70% of people in the backyard were smoking cigarettes totally destroyed the otherwise chill atmosphere. Very disappointing!
The bouncer HARASSED me for 30 minutes telling me I needed to cover up. I had on a cropped tank top and PANTS (not that it matters). I can’t stress enough how casual this outfit was. My friends and I were sitting in a corner by the window minding our own business. He walked right up to me, yelling, that I can’t be in here “like that” and that I needed to leave. He repeatedly told me if I didn’t “cover up” I had to leave. He would not stop screaming at me and staring/pointing at my chest. Yet, no bartender intervened. At this point, me + 6 friends had already been there for ~2 hours and spent a lot of money on drinks. We were not rowdy or rude at all. My friend had to actually go up to the bar and basically force them to do something about it. They (bartender) brought the bouncer outside, talked for 30 seconds, then brought him right back in. Did a bartender check in on me? Nope. Did they apologize? Nope. This is BROOKLYN and it’s shocking/gross that I was able to be treated in such a way by the bar staff and had to fend for myself in this area especially. I’ve been going out in bk/ny for 10+ years now and this is my FIRST TIME ever being harassed for a TANK TOP. I checked the website - there doesn’t seem to be a dress code saying no tank tops. Actually, there’s no dress code at all that I could find. Really gross and disappointing.
