Not vegan but went with a vegan friend and will definitely be going again. Was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was.
The nori rolls (and everything else we had) was really stunning. I'm not even vegan, this was just great food.
Came on a cold day and they gave me a hot soup to cheer me up. God bless.
Cozy restaurant, excellent food and friendly and helpful staff! The garden is a beautiful space in the shade of large trees. Recommended!
Delicious vegan food, original recipes, great sauces. Pretty place with good service.
YUMMM!!! I got some of the best ramen and small plates! Can’t wait to come back on my next visit to Brooklyn!
I am not a vegan and I love this place. Flavors are so good I could swear there was meat in them.
Great vegan versions of a every favorite dish you might be missing and and original works that are even better.
Food, drinks, and music was a treat, can't wait to come back for more of the jade mushrooms.
The food is really good, but I'm concerned if they use gmo soy or organic one
Great service, lovely ambience, they have different kinds of Asian food and very delicious.
always the best food and great interior and backyard. clean and friendly.
Are meat substitutes good for you? Who gives a shiz when you're eating crispy soy nuggs at wild ging. Yummmmm.
Food was excellent. Great service and nice outdoor area in back
Great vegetarian and vegan food. Definitely try the lychee sangria, it is great.
Delicious food! Really good value, nice people.
Absolutely remarkable experience and I'm not a Vegan nor a Vegetarian.
I love this place! They have lots of options and they are all delicious. My favs are the bbq tempeh and the Malaysian curry. Their outdoor space is a great plus!
This place is truly awesome. The food is incredibly good and the staff is very kind and generous. The brunch menu is a great value (weekends only) and the desserts are to die for!
Garden in the back is perfect for medium to large sized groups. I went with just my girlfriend and it was a nice spot as well for just the two of us. Food is delicious and cocktails are tasty too!
This was a suprising find for us. We stumbled upon it one night and was pleasantly happy with what we didnt know was all all vegan menu. We split 2 appetizers and I had a small pot of tea which was more than enough for 2 people. We were in a rush so didnt get to explore more of the menu but will be going back soon to do so.
Today was my first time here & I will be a regular...the food is tasty, presentable, cooked perfectly & most of all affordable, I had the curry comfort stew & my only complaint is I wish it were spicy. The staff is so friendly & helpful Their passionfruit lemonade is SO GOOD!
Delicious, fresh vegan food with so many yummy options. Cozy and cute atmosphere. Perfect for lunch or dinner!
I love coming here, good food (that eggplant!), always nice and querky service, bartender super on point and always has a great playlists! I come here at least once a week or order out.
LOVE this place. Generous portions. Super yummy. Outdoor patio. Cool interior. Great music. Bar. Healthy and savory. A vegans wet dream. Super friendly staff and good vibes. Highly reccomend!
Luanne’s never fails to disappoint — food is always super fresh tasting and even when delivered it’s still hot :-) their matcha coconut cheese cake is their most delicious item and that says a lot!
Some of the best vegan Asian food in the city. Cannot get over how good this place is with their food inspired by China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. Good service and romantic decor.
I have been to all of their locations and I have yet to be disappointed by this incredible menu, service and cozy atmosphere. I've taken multiple friends to Luanne's and they have all loved it.
I've never had the food or been here but based on the descriptions this place is amazing - definitely recommend it to everyone - vegan and non-vegan alike! 5 stars!
This is one of my to go spot when in NY. I tried a lot of dishes and I was never disappointed. Delicious and healthy vegetarian food. Good service too.
Vegan food is great I have the pineapple fried rice was amazing and their lemonade was good too it was fun to be back in my old neighborhood just left I moved out just recently but I will definitely be back to take the wife.
Great vegan food fresh hot generous..great service...feels like marin county...and a good bar too..would prefer east asian music
Great tasting vegan restaurant with a separate gluten free menu.
Decent vegan food, a bit expensive but worth it to not have to track down ingredients in restaurants that serve animals. Nothing was spectacular, but most of what we had was solid quality.
We usually go to the smith street location but tried this location today . Wonderful place , delicious vegan food and amazing service 👍 will be back
The matcha cheesecake is incredible here. Don’t expect crazy flavors, just healthy, simple food!
Delicious vegan food, and amazing desserts as well. Informal atmosphere. Much better to eat in than to get delivery.
The food is fresh, flavorful and healthy. The menu has a vast selection and reasonably priced - never disappointing.
The lunch special is great. The food and service were amazing. If you’re in the area, it won’t disappoint.
Cute spot with friendly staff.
Always great food. Tasty. Satisfying. The string beans and eggplant are the best! Great friendly service
The General Tsoy's dish has no business being that fire. Absolutely slammin.
Incredible life changing vegan food highly recommend!!! Esp ginger miso curry
We came here with my partner yesterday to eat dinner after a long day exploring Brooklyn. We ordered noodle salad and pineapple friend rice, both were extremely great! The owner is extremely friendly, the food was ready super fast, one of the best services we ever had. The owner also helped us charge our devices) Great place to eat, definitely recommend!
Took the kids here on a Friday night. Atmosphere is laid back, staff friendly, and good service. The food stole the show. Malasian style curry comfort stew was my favorite, but everything we had was amazing. My new favorite vegan restaurant in Brooklyn!!!
One of my favorite restaurants. A vegan classic. Friendly staff.
I didn't know this was a vegan place. I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian. I was just walking down on DeKalb and heard a Chet Baker song playing. So I was sort of lured into this place. They have their original cocktails without any ridiculous names. I tried one with gin and one with tequila. They both were very good. I particularly liked the one with gin. I also tried their BBQ skewer bowl. There's no meat in it. It was very good and filling. I liked the atmosphere and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender and they have backyard seating, too. I will return.
I loved this place. They have a really cute back yard where I enjoyed the sun along with the food. The girl who served us was very friendly and nice. Food came out super fast. I ordered spring rolls and dumplings and it was pretty okay, but the noodles was really delicious 💙💙💙 I Recommend you guys to try noodles for sure!
Absolutely delicious! I have have been to 2 of their locations and tried a handful of dishes. (I highly recommend the Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice, and General Tso’s tofu) They have a wonderful Sunday brunch special. If you’ve never been to Luanne’s Wild Ginger- go check it out!!
Always leave full and feeling nourished. Luanne’s has a large menu and everything I’ve tried has exceeded expectations (the kimchee gumbo is so good!) The team at the Dekalb location are so welcoming & I really like the friendly waitress Dory!
My favourite vegan/plant based menu in Brooklyn! Food everything on the menu is fantastic! We went with friends and each tried a few items from the lunch menu. Contrast in texture and flavour was great, and the venue is a nice place to share food with friends.
Delicious food! Got dumplings, Miso soup, kale bowl, and the matcha cheesecake! The lady there was warm and welcome. Quiet nice music. Dim lighting and the prices were perfect. 10 out of 10 would recommend
The best of the best, the food is so cravable, it's the only place where I always order extra to eat the next day!! Don't ever change the menu, it's the BOMB!!!! Been going there for years. I have visited ALL their locations and they're all outstanding. Kudos to the chef
Such a cute spot with delicious food. It was great to have a low key lunch on the back patio. I really enjoyed the Fried oyster mushroom appetizer, and the Nori wraps. Can’t wait to go back!
This is the vegan Thai spot I have been longing for... all their dishes from the roasted nori wrap and Kimchi fried jasmine white rice to their delicious deserts which I had 2 out of 4; matcha cheesecake and strawberry pie were devoured within minutes... the ambiance is so rustic and chic and the waitress was just fabulous. Def 5 plus stars for this place... will be my regular spot from now on...
So good!! I've been to 3 out of 4 locations and always happy. They've failed to surprise me with consistently amazing the food is. Real vegan food with an Asian twist that transcends its humble aim.
If you like vegan food, please give this eatery a try. I enjoyed immensely, both the spring rolls and samosas. I will definitely go back for more.
Could not have been a better experience!! Vegan general Tsoy was unreal. Amazing vegan food that will have non-vegans happy too!
Cozy tasty place, lots of small plates to share. And not overpriced! This is actually a place where you can sit down and have a conversation, it is not excessively loud inside. I will be coming back!
This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. Food is great with so many options, service is always amazing, the owner is super kind and I love the vibes. A variety of options for different tastes as well. I love the back patio, it's so nice! If you are in New York, I 100% recommend this place. Couldn't be better.
Upscale ambiance and beautiful design, meticulous attention to food, affordable vegan prices (~$15 for mains which are generous portion! What a steal!!). Great for a date, and the spacious patio is welcoming for groups or families. Honestly It doesn't get better than this! Macrobiotic absolute yum of a vegan bi bim bop bowl. Can't wait to come back.
Great place. The cooking is quick, everything is super fresh. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming — it was raining outside and i walked out with a new umbrella - thank you. So nice !
I had a really good Vegan Lunch at this place. Their Outdoor dining is beautiful and quiet. I ate the Sweet and Sour Sesame Soy with breaded soy protein, Cauliflower, Broccoli, PineApple, and Bell Peppers. Along with an Eggroll, white rice, and mixed salad greens. I also drank Thai Iced Coffee. Highly recommend to stop for a great Lunch and Dinner.
I was told about this place several years ago but kind of brushed it off .... "Vegan Asian in Brooklyn, been there, done that." Boy was I wrong ... Let's start with ambiance, cool, dimly lit, jazzy even in the afternoon. The garden is delightful - it's a refreshing break from the norm ... perfect for friends, couples, and/or single patrons. For starters, I had scallion pancake .... drizzled with teriyaki sauce and pineapple bits, it was exceptional. Then I had the general tso's lunch special complete with spring roll and salad. It was delicious as well. Service was kind, thoughtful and thorough. Like the previous review mentioned.... it's giving "Why didn't I come here sooner" but now that you know ... just come here more often!
Why didn’t I come here earlier? I’ve been asking myself everyday since my first visit last week! The extensive vegan menu is absolutely mind blowing. I want to try every item on it. The relaxed and stylish interior vibes are also wonderful. I had a rice bowl and eggplant appetizer and both were amazing. The rice in the bowl was cooked just perfectly and the skewer was really flavorful with a nice texture. From a sustainability perspective, they used all reusable utensils for dine in. Can’t wait to go back and try more items!
Awesome place with a variety of great vegan dishes. I highly recommend to try the Crispy Stuffed Tofu Skin. They are so delicious and a great appetizer. I took as a main course Tempeh & Seaweed Quinoa Bowl. It had a great flavor and is the right amount to fill your tummy. The service was friendly and fast.
We had an excellent dinner here on a Thursday night. It was earlier in the evening so we were the only ones inside, which made it a nice and cozy dinner for two. Our server was attentive and responsive. We each had an appetizer, two drinks, and a main course. Absolutely devoured every single thing. I particularly enjoyed the mango rum cocktail. The food was fresh and flavorful, and my vegan husband truly enjoyed the fact that everything on the menu was accessible to him. This will likely become a neighborhood favorite for us. We’ll be back soon!
When in town I frequent this restaurant. Given the economy, restaurants can close at a drop of a hat. Always glad it's still around when I'm in town.
Delicious food. Mushroom fries are a must to try. The music was a bit loud but the rest was perfect.
The food was great and the waitress was very nice. I would definitely go back.
I'm not a vegetarian but I did find the food to be yummy. I would go again.
This place is pretty good and brunch last until 5pm, but NO bottomless brunch. The cook was really good and the mimosa I had was good. The staff was pretty good and helpful. They have outside seating in the back yard of the restaurant. It is pretty nice out their in the back. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall, this place is a good spot for vegans and non-vegans.
The first time I had Asian style vegetarian food in NYC. First of all the portion is HUGE and the price is quite reasonable. I ate alone and honestly one main dish or even just one appetizer is enough. Ginger miso ramen - I love it. Mushroom is really yum. Stuffed tofu skin - very large portion but the taste is meh.
Nice offerings, that pineapple fried rice is the clear star of the show! Hot and sour soup was legit, also. Not a fan of the saitan "meats", they are just ok and I could do without them. Desserts were decent. I'd be back to try more of the appetizers.
Tasty vegan food, quick attentive service, friendly atmosphere---we liked our dinner at LuAnn's Wild Ginger and will come back for more. I see they have lunch deals too and I liked my main, bo bun rice noodles--such a generous serving , there were leftovers for take away. The sauces for all the mains (cilantro , citrus) were full of flavor and not salty; the appetizer veggie tempura was crisp and not oily. A great addition to the neighborhood.
We often order take out from here. Food is great. Good portion. Love King Oyster Mushroom, crispy soy nugget, Kale Mandarin salad, hot&sour soup, and more. I wish there was more stuff in hot&sour soup, it used to be a lot more in it. It is very little mushrooms and tofu for the past few times we ordered. Taste still great though.
Food was not very flavorful. The curry was disappointing and under seasoned.
They served me spoiled walnuts which ruined the dish. They were nice about it though and gave a complimentary dessert.
This place has good food and the owner seems very nice BUT the waitress-bartender is very unprofessional I would dare say she will drown this business in the worst way..👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Waitresses were very nice. Samosa was delicious. place had a nice vibe. If they were open later, definitely would've had a drink. The seitan skewers were really mushy and awful though, and they had a weird spongy skin on the outside.
The food and the backyard outdoor seating were nice, but everything is served in plastic, which was disappointing. The green tea cocktail was a bit dull as well. Definitely try the steamed dumplings!
Order was canceled by Caviar or The place itself. When I asked to send me a screenshot so I can get a refund they say I have to call them. The person who answer the phone calls is not helpful.
After our support weekly from the beginning they stopped delivering 6 blocks away. Not good for business.
This is my favorite place. Once they refused to sit me OUTSIDE with no vax card. Disappointing..why do you need a vax card to sit in the patio I will still order take out
Don't know who is leaving 5 star reviews, not the Asians! The food is a westerner's take on Asian food, a poor one at best. Extremely bland. Friend had the dumplings, no idea what the fillng was but it was not good. I had the rice noodles, which for 14 dollars, plus an expectation for tip, was nothing more than shop-bought instant rice noodle, vegetables, tofu and a very watered down shop-bought miso paste. This is not a restaurant, but likely a place you would go to for drinks and chat with friends, as the food is apparently not made by a chef. If you're looking for good vegan Asian food, there are several great vegetarian restaurants in Chinatown which do serve actual Asian food!
