Beautiful clean high end restaurant. The ambience and service were par excellence. The food was delicious tasty and beautifully presented and came pretty fast. Bip was an especially gracious host. Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing time! The service at this place is top notch. We were served promptly, and the food was out of this world. Every part of the decor adds to the sophisticated, relaxed vibe. Our waiter was so courteous and accommodating! Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful experience. Warm welcoming from Managers Bryan and Soso. We were treated like family from beginning to end. We were assisted with a wine option that paired amazingly with the entire dinner. The best part was being able to see how the meats are aged and preserved. Amazing quality of food and an even more amazing service provided from all staff members. Definitely will return again! Bravo to the management and chefs for an incredible dining experience.
Our waiter Mari was incredible, she recommended everything we loved. Her service and the rest of the staff was great. Will re visit!
I recently had the pleasure of being served by Madison, and she truly made our dining experience exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Madison's warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Her attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for her job were evident throughout our meal. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring our drinks were never empty. Madison's impeccable service and friendly attitude elevated our experience and made it memorable. I highly recommend requesting her if you’re dining here—you won’t be disappointed!
Absolute banger spot, The wait staff were nice and accommodating the steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs were to die for. I'm a pretty picky eater but 10/10 will be back! :)
Excellent meal and service. We will be back!
This is a an excellent venue for events such as corporate dinner and other events. I attended dinner with a party of over 20. The waiting staff were very attentive. We had a 6-course meal and everything were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I celebrate my birthday with 20 of family members. Great food, impeccable service and the staff were so attentive. The Manager, Alex is very attentive. Everyone is planning on going back to eat soon.
Lovely experience from the moment my husband and I walked in! We were greeted warmly, given our choice of table and the waiter, Ferris, immediately came over to take our drink order. We ordered the meatballs which were outstanding. We also ordered the Branzino in salt and the brisket, which was a replacement for the short rib, which they were out of. We rounded out the meal with the French fries and some mushrooms. Everything was delicious. I was there for my birthday and Roberto, the manager, was kind enough to bring over a plate of yummy donuts drizzled with chocolate syrup with a candle! From start to finish it was a good time and the atmosphere was modern and chic. All of the staff were really nice and engaging, but extra thanks to Ferris for making the night enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I recently dined at MEAT restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance was inviting and modern, with a perfect blend of comfort and style that set the stage for an enjoyable meal. What truly made the evening memorable was Alberto, the host. From the moment we walked in, Alberto greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit. Alberto's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience with his expert insights. Alberto's exceptional service and personable nature truly stood out, making our night at MEAT restaurant an unforgettable one. If you're looking for a place with great food and outstanding hospitality, MEAT, with Alberto at the helm, is the place to go. Highly recommended!
Soso is the best restaurant manager From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a warm atmosphere, a cozy ambiance, and attentive staff. The decor and atmosphere alone are enough to immerse you in the dining experience. The menu offers an array of delectable dishes that are artfully presented and bursting with flavors that excite the senses. The chef's expertise and creativity with ingredients are undoubtedly apparent in every dish. The food is not only visually stunning, but it is also incredibly satisfying to the palate. Every bite is a sensation of flavors, textures, and aromas that are hard to forget. From appetizers to desserts, every dish exceeds expectations. The service is impeccable, ensuring that every need and want of the guests is met promptly and efficiently. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, enthusiastic, and eager to make recommendations and cater to dietary restrictions. The ambiance, food, and service all combine to make this restaurant an unforgettable dining experience. It's rare to come across a restaurant that excels at every aspect of what makes dining out special, and this restaurant is one to certainly rave about. Whether you are looking for a romantic date night or dinner with family and friends, this restaurant exceeds expectations and sets the standard for exceptional dining. Highly recommended!
Very interesting Menu. Nice ambiance. Worth a try. They catered to our needs.
The service was amazing!! , Maddison was an awesome waitress!!! We were lucky to have her!! The rest of the staff was so inviting and warm. We really enjoyed!! The food was delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back!
I absolutely love this restaurant. Been there twice and can't wait to go back! The menu is always changing and their food is just so on point. I was pleasantly surprised by their prices because I heard it was so expensive. But very fair prices when compared to any other steakhouse in the same fancy level. Their signature dish is the steak which comes on this beautiful platter and with bunch of mushrooms and a bowl of potatoes. A 37 oz steak was great for 4 of us with a bunch of generous appetizers. I definitely recommend that steak if they have the size that works for you! The decor and furniture is also so tasteful and the waiters are all dressed up which is nice. Definitely put on some makeup and jewelry before you head here! You'll feel better and enjoy the night so much more! Not sure what else to say except this is my new favorite restaurant and I cannot wait for the next special occasion so I can go back and order the new dishes I haven't yet tried!
Finally got to try one of the famous "Golden Cages". It was fun to watch the waiter pour the liquid and see the chocolate melt. My party had a really nice experience here. The ambiance is spot on. The service was excellent, very attentive staff but not too intrusive. The menu is limited, but I felt the choices were varied for what they were offering. After ordering a bunch of appetizers to share, we were all full but ordered mains which they smartly took awhile to send to allow our stomachs to settle. Everything was superb and very flavorful. I liked the bathroom and the mural on the wall. I judge a restaurant on their bathroom, and this one was comfortable, smelled nice and most importantly- clean. It is very relaxing here and even sitting close to the bar with people coming in and out we were able to have private conversations and feel cozy. The music was a bit loud but after we asked them to lower it they quickly accommodated us. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out with friends or your spouse.
Best service, such yummy incredible food. The manager Alex was so professional, kept checking to we everything was good. Worth every penny
Every single dish was delicious. Extremely nice staff especially Noah & Willy. My wife loved there is fresh flowers on the table. Definitely my favorite in NYC. Can't wait to come back!
The tasting menu was the perfect experience, the flavors were spot on and I was absolutely full by the time we were done. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food came out in a timely manner. Definitely going to come back
Amazing food, fantastic service and the most beautiful ambiance. This restaurant really excels at creating a special experience and stands out from other NYC kosher restaurants. The location is a bit sketchy, but once you’re inside it truly doesn’t matter. Would highly recommend giving this spot a try!
Meat is the pinnacle of kosher cuisine, you feel at home walking through the door. The food and drinks are delicious and beautifully presented plus the ambiance is second to none. The quality of their steaks are simply unmatched anywhere else I've been, worth checking out the aging room downstairs. The reason I LOVE Meat tho is for the service, It's always a pleasure speaking with Bryan, thank you Donis for the greatest cocktails and thank you Soso for being the greatest manager!! Meat is My ❤️
Was incredible. Everything. The food the atmosphere and the service. Was my first time. And not the last
We had a lovely experience that food was excellent I recommend to anyone
I was so happy to find this amazing place to sit and try new and original mixed cocktails and the,"Olive oil cake" ! Yummy! Manager Alex, bartender Benji and bar back Anthony made me feel like I' found my, Cheer's like bar. Definitely, my bar away from home. Oh, and please try something from their, Spring Fling.Featuring mixed drinks named after famous dance styles from the 50's. But don't wait, Spring Fling is only offered till the end of May/2025!!
Benji and the staff were so accommodating to my large group that walked into the bar. They cleared the back area for us and brought over a speaker so we could hear the DJ that was spinning in front. Great vibes and ambiance. Thank you !
I went for a private affair with friends and family. I had at least 10 family style dishes. The service was impeccable. The food was immaculate and delicious. The meat was on point and the olive oil cake did not disappoint. I would give this place a 10/10. I will be back!
We had a beautiful dinner here. The ambiance was beautiful and warm. Our sever Mari was excellent and the food was tasty . Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The meats were done just right and hit the spot perfectly. Our waiter was courteous and friendly making us feel like we were in our own dining room. We will definitely be back for another round
Authentic & hospitible service, dazzling ambiance, spectacular wine selections, and unimaginably delicous food; al of these are genuine reflections of my experiece at MEAT in Brooklyn. From a warm greeting as we entered, to wine suggestions that paired perfectly with the smorgasboard of starters, MEAT both caught us by surprise and left us with a culinary core memory. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the Kosher menu offerings (and what to pair with each item). From the steak, to the pasta, from the lamb's tounge, to the dessert selections, we ate until we physically could not consume anything else. The Chef and the team deserve a massive "thank you" for the creativity and flavor they are crafting. And the front-of-house team members deserve many thanks as well for both their generous service and charismatic professionalism! It is rare that you witness "the perfect dining experience," but MEAT in Brooklyn certainly delivered exactly this. My friends and I will have a culinary memory to share with one another for years to come. Thank you all!
Had an amazing night! Service was on par and the food we cleaned every plate! We had the: Green salad Cauliflower Rotolo Gnocchi Every plate was delicious! I had the pomegranate cocktail without simple syrup and it was sweet enough! We did not have dessert since we where full. Valet might be a good idea since finding parking was the only downside. Fish or more vegan options would be a nice addition!
I didn’t anticipate the explosion of savory goodness that awaited me. The burger was out of this world—each bite packed with flavors that made my taste buds do a happy dance. From the thoughtful packaging to the satisfying finish, every aspect of the experience was top-notch. Meat NYC knows how to deliver a meal that leaves a lasting impression. Dany, Wow!
Delicious food, swift and professional service, upscale feel. We loved eating here!
It’s so nice to be able to go out somewhere local that has an authentic Italian menu, beautiful ambiance and amazing service.
Recently attended an engagement party. The decor is inviting, fresh and just the right touch. I loved the brick wall covered in ivy. The food was delicious, creative and plentiful. Staff were helpful and attentive. I hope to come back again!
Gorgeous seating, calm atmosphere with nice music, and the food is to die for. Our server Pedro was very knowledgeable on the menu and made us feel welcome during our meal, so thank you on that!
I’m giving Meat five stars because, at the end of the day, the food truly deserves it. This is a kosher Italian steakhouse that really delivers where it matters most: the food. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — perfectly prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing, and the quality of the meat and dishes stood out. The ambiance was also very nice. The space is attractive, comfortable, and has a good energy that makes it a great place for a night out or a special meal. That said, the service was unfortunately the weakest part of the experience. After dinner, we asked for a dessert menu. It was handed to us, but 25 minutes passed and no one came back to take our order. Eventually, we just got up, paid the bill, and left. It was disappointing, especially because we would have happily ordered dessert and drinks and probably spent double what we did if we had been given the opportunity. I also wasn’t thrilled with the fact that gratuity is automatically included. It felt like there was very little urgency or motivation to check on us or follow through, which took away from what could have been an excellent overall experience. Despite the service issues, the food was outstanding enough that I still feel this place deserves five stars. With better service, this restaurant could easily be exceptional across the board.
Celebrated my birthday here last week and had an amazing experience. The ambiance is classy with a fine-dining vibe. The foie gras sandwich was out of this world, and we loved the beef sticks and bresaola board. My boneless ribs with mash were tender and delicious, and my wife really enjoyed her pasta. The triple fries were tasty but a little too rustic for my preference. We finished with the semifreddo — a perfect, delicious dessert. Highly recommend for a special night out!
I had a fantastic experience at Meat! From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive and welcoming. The seating was comfortable and well-arranged, giving us a relaxed and private dining feel. The atmosphere was modern, classy, and inviting — perfect for a night out. And of course, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch kosher dining experience!
Was there two weeks ago was super impressed with the service they were exceptional especially Katie who was our server they were right on top of the game The bread was delicious as was the olive oil served with it We got the purple cloud cocktail which was phenomenal as was the 502 I think it was called don’t remember exactly I was a little disappointed as they didn’t have any imported meat left when I was there therefore making me spend almost double the price on the steak to get the choice one although I must say it was easily one of the best steaks I have ever had The gnocchi was superb and the atmosphere and music was fantastic looking forward to coming back
Meat NY, located in Brooklyn. One of the best experiences we ever had. First off, their absolute best asset is Roberto. He made our evening so special without us having to say a word. He made sure everything was perfection. Truly the best! The beef skewers were sooo flavorful and soft. Chicken was crispy outside, soft inside, full of flavor. Steak was perfectly cooked. And very crispy potato wedges. Salad was the perfect side dish. Coctails were great. We got the watermelon and the citrus pinapple. Wish i could have tried each dessert, was so hard to choose!! Amazing!! Service, food, ambiance A++++ Grazie Roberto! We will be back!!
Last night I had the pleasure of dining at MEAT, NY in Crown Heights. There has been a lot of buzz about this restaurant and we wanted to check it out. They opened their door in the Summer of 2009 and had to close during Covid. Thank G-d they were able to re-open afterwards and I must tell you, you need to check this place out. We were greeted warmly by Meat's maitre d Soso, who showed us to our table and introduced us to Brian the general manager. Soso was full of great ideas and highlighting the perfect dishes for us. For our appetizers we had a hard time choosing as there were so many delicious options. We ended up getting on Soso's recommendations both the Tuna Tartar and the Beef Tartar, as well as the famous Tomato Salad (Fresh Oregano, Soft Boiled Egg, Spring Onions, Roasted Tomato & More) the Lamb Tongue (with Black Garlic, Parisian Carrots, Glace de Veal) and the Short Rib Tortellini. Each dish was perfection. The explosion of flavors in our mouths were amazing. Needless to say it took us some time to finish all these dishes. The Lamb Tongue was amazing, the black garlic imparted so much flavor and the dish featured some amazing thumb carrots as well as slice and curled potato "chips." To help we ordered a drink called Good Karam which featured both Passion Fruit and Jalapeno which gave it a good kick. While neither of us are drinkers, the drink was unique and bold and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Brian then presented us with a new drink he made on the spot. The unnamed drink featured Coconut Cream, Preseco and some Peach flavor. It was milder then the Good Karma which made it a pleasant surprise. Bu the time we were done with our apps, we needed a breather. Brian said we should check out the aging room as well as the wine cellar and kitchen on the lower level. The wine cellar can hold up to 800 bottles and was custom made for Meat as well as the aging room. The open kitchen also features an amazing chefs table were you can see all the action happen. After our brief tour, we went back to our table to await our 22 oz wet aged steak. The wet aged steak does not feature a bone which means the poundage is all beef, no extra weight of the bone added, so you are getting all the meat. Also, wet aged means your steak wrapped in rendered down beef fat that has been strained from its yellow color to white. It make the steak softer and more buttery. It came with fingerling potatoes and some special house made "ketchup" and some amazing pearl onions and baby tomatoes. The steak was so soft and delicious, we just kept eating and didn't leave over a single vegetable. After all that one would think "can we really eat more?" Well I guess we could. We had a hard time deciding on a dessert, so Soso said we should have three. Before dessert however, Soso had us try some organic honey based whiskey. Like I said before we aren't really drinkers, but it was so tasty and smooth, the perfect palate cleanser. For desert we had the Lemon Jello with fresh mixed berries and sorbet , there was also the poached apple with cinnamon a fresh green apple sorbet and finally the chocolate cake, chocolate souffle and chocolate mousse. This last dessert was accompanied by two "olive oil" candies which are a must have at Meat. They are like a hard candy outside and a liquid core that just melts in your mouth. All were scrumptious. Brian then came to our table with a Polaroid camera to capture our special night on a photo with a special Meat sticker "frame" where you can write the date and notes/memories on the back. It was the perfect ending to an amazing dining experience.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful but not over bearing, the restaurant itself is beautiful and clean, and very accommodating for a large group. We ordered most of the items on the menu we shared through the table and each and every one of the plates was amazing. We were all in agreement that the food was just awesome. Will definitely come again.
Benji was an absolute pleasure! Welcoming and made my friends an I feel extremely welcomed and provided amazing cocktails! Looking forward to trying his spring menu!
Meat is an extremely high end restaurant and definitely lives up to that reputation. We ordered lamb tongue, and veal sweet breads as appetizers and both were absolutely out of this world. The thing that annoyed me though was there main course. They have a very small selection of meat, and all of them (except for one hanger steak) are their dry-aged steaks which cost an absolute fortune. My wife wanted to order a lamb shoulder for herself and I was gonna order a steak but the smallest steak they had available was a 37 Oz Dry Aged steak which at $4.50 an ounce came out to $166! Which in my opinion is absolutely insane. And again, this was literally the cheapest option, except for their hanger steak. Now the 37-oz steak is quite large, but included in the 37 oz is an absolute massive bone, and another huge marrow bone so in reality the beef is much less than that... So we ended up splitting the steak which ended up being sufficient for both of us but not by a lot. In total, we ordered two appetizers, one main, and one drink, and our bill was over $300. To me that's a little crazy. However I must say, the dry aged steak was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. It was unbelievable. Their steak is literally incomparable to a regular steak. Totally different stratosphere... I also think they can brush up on their dessert menu. It came across as trying to be a little too sophisticated, but just resulting in a lame and dull selection. My cocktail was very solid too. The food decor and plating is stunning and the ambiance is beautiful, comfy, and romantic. The service is quite good as well. Ryan was especially nice and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience, and if you have a really special occasion, I would say, take out a mortgage, come on over, and give it a shot, but for me personally, I can't see myself coming back here too quickly, simply because of the astronomical cost. At the very least they should have more options such as a regular rib eye which doesn't cost $166 for the smallest steak.
Pretty decent vibe. Menu changes very frequently, so it's going to be a different (sometimes disappointing) dining experience every time. Definitely recommend for a classy spot, but be ready to spend, and choose wisely. Food is nice, but can take a long time to come. The salumi board had more garnishes and condiments than meat. The wagyu skewer was nice, but had quite a few hard-to-chew fat chunks (surprising for a wagyu). The hangar steak is a knockout each time, and I hope it stays on the menu.
I got to eat there yesterday. I ordered through Uber. They had a 1+1 deal on a burger (the price was really cheap, $29 including 2 burgers, they claim Wagyu beef with fries). The packaging looked really good, the brand sits nicely. There's no doubt that they invested a lot and it looked promising until I tasted the burger. The meat itself was delicious, but the bun was dry and a little burnt. The vegetables and sauces didn't compliment the burger (honestly, restaurants at this level need to work more on dine-in, but this is a difficult time for all restaurants, so it's all understandable. I hope there will be an improvement. This is my score right now. I hope I can change that the next time I come!
I recently revisited MEAT, I’ve enjoyed in the past its wonderful ambiance and friendly service. This time, my wife and I decided to try both the Traditional and Pasta tasting menus, sharing our dishes to get a comprehensive taste of what MEAT has to offer. Here’s a detailed review of our experience: --- I should note that I’m a super strict critic and don’t give high numbers easily because the truly special dishes shine more with their high scores. Therefore, ratings between 4 and 6 shouldn’t be seen as bad food but rather as dishes that didn’t fully meet my high expectations or that I’ve had better versions of elsewhere. --- **Appetizers:** 1. Carpacio: This dish was a highlight with a rating of 4.8. The presentation was impressive, scoring a 6. 2. Pasta Asparagus: My favorite pasta of the night! And maybe my favorite dish! Another strong start with a rating of 8.7, though its presentation was less appealing at a 3. 3. Beet Ravioli: This was disappointing in taste with a 3.2, but it looked better, scoring a 6.5 for presentation. 4. Meat Platter: Taste-wise, it scored a 4.3, but the presentation was quite lacking at a 1. **Mid-Course:** 1. Truffle Lamb Tongue: I came in hesitant but was pleasantly surprised and rated it a solid 5 for flavor, with an appealing presentation scoring a 6. 2. Truffle Pasta: Unfortunately, this was the biggest letdown of the night, scoring only 1.5 in taste and 2 in presentation. 3. Gnocchi: A really good dish with a rating of 5.7 and decent presentation at 5.5. 4. Meatball: This was another disappointment, scoring just 1 in taste and 2 in presentation. Meatballs were cold, and just felt like they were tossed in a sauce that kept being brought out on the other dishes. **Main Courses:** Pasta: 1. Meat Tortellini: Not very enjoyable, with a score of 1.5 and a presentation of 3. 2. Pasta Pappardelle: Rated 3.2 for taste, with an equally mediocre presentation at 3. Meat: 1. Dry Aged Meat: This could have been exceptional if they served it hot, earning a taste rating of 5.9. 2. Bouca-something: Again, a repetitive sauce marred this dish, leading to a score of 4.3. It really felt like the chef didn't have all the ingredients and just tossed this tomatoe sauce in everything. It hardly even tasted marinated, just a cover. **Desserts:** 1. Donuts: The dough was a standout at 9, and the chocolate was a delicious impressive dark chocolate that got it a 5.6. Presentation scored a 7. 2. Gelato: A solid dessert option with a rating of 4.8 and a nice presentation at 7. 3. Sorbet: This was not a hit, scoring only 2 for taste and 3 for presentation. 4. Strawberry Chocolate Cake: Mediocre at best, with a taste score of 3 and a presentation of 5. **Drinks:** Pomegranate Cocktail: Previously a favorite of mine, it unfortunately fell short this time with a rating of 4.8 compared to a previous 8.3. Overall, while MEAT has a fantastic atmosphere and great service, this visit had its highs and lows in terms of the food, but overall a GREAT outing with the Mrs! MEAT remains a place worth visiting, especially for the ambiance and friendly staff.
Amazing service, but overpriced food. Loved Bryan C. From the moment I got there, he welcomed me with a smile, a HANDSHAKE, and sat me down. He was super attentive, gave me recommendations, and just amazingly courteous and friendly. Atmosphere is a bit dim but warm. The rest of the staff was also pretty darn awesome. Zero qualms with anyone there. Food was a bit of another story. I wish I was able to try their steaks, but at $5/oz and the smallest ribeye being about 25 oz., it was a bit steep to splurge on just myself. I ended up asking Bryan between the skirt steak ($62) or the lamb shoulder ($62); he recommended the lamb, so I went with that. Most of the menu items are more than $60... chicken was about $42, and the cheapest fare you'll get is with the fish ($30s). A pretty pricey menu. Started off with a complimentary bowl of sliced bread and a tomato, balsamic, and chili spread that also had olives. It was crazy that this was one of the best things I had tonight; the flavors just all contrasted and also complemented each other so well. I had ordered a NY whiskey sour as well... which was pretty good too. The red wine float was quite thick, but I didn't mind. The lamb took a while to come out, but it was fork-tender and I never needed to use my knife. That's about as good as it got... it was glazed with some sort of au jus, which really helped the flavor of the lamb meat itself.... but that was about it. I thought that the lamb was boiled... the meat was just so unfortunately bland, and at $62 for the plate, there's just no way. I told Bryan about this and little did I know that he would set things right. I asked for the check but Bryan later told me to hang tight, as he was going to get me some dessert, on the house... it was very thoughtful of him. Another waiter brought out a bowl with three churros on top of vanilla ice cream, a chocolate design, and what looked like edible gold flakes/sprinkles. Normally it would have been $18 but it was truly on the house. This was also another amazing surprise, food-wise. With the caramel, vanilla, and spices, this easily beat everything else. Delicious. I'm hoping to give these guys another shot, but at the prices they have now, it's a tough pill to swallow for another food experience. However, the staff is top-notch!
I went here for dinner tonight, and I left with mixed feelings. The atmosphere was great, decor really nice, but the food was subpar. I ordered the Pollo, and the roasted veggies were raw, I had to really jab my fork into them. The chicken itself was decent, but not worth the $55. The saving grace was the barman, who noticed I had been seated for a while without being given a menu and took it upon himself to offer me a drink menu and recommended a great glass of wine. Not a bad experience, but for the price, I left wholly unimpressed.
The restaurant is beautiful nice staff Ordered various dishes, with cool flavors very different than your usual steakhouse. But unfortunately, we ordered a medium well steak and it was brought to us rare. we brought it to their attention and immediately they sent it back to be reheated which I believe was a mistake cause it was sliced. And it returned to the table worse and unevenly cooked and they just dumped some sauce to make it look more cooked which did not go down well. And tasted underwhelming they should have brought me a new steak cooked the way we asked it to be unfortunately looks like it was an off night for them
So I ordered a $205 ribeye for two, asked for medium and it was rare, as you can see in the photos, I wonder what went wrong because other pictures I've seen here on Google maps have a perfect cook on the steak, management was extremely courteous though and tried to make it up by not charging me for the two desserts that we ordered, I still don't think that that compensates for a $205 badly undercooked steak that we didn't enjoy and left over most of it. Service was professional and top notch, drinks were ok, dessert was good. I probably won't return. 🙁
The prices are like those of an high end insanely expensive resturant but the actual food and accommodations are far from it. The service was kinda standard, the seating and dishes were more like an upgraded deli setting, the food itself was truly horrible, especially the salmon dish and the lamb tounge. I goto say though, the birthday chocolate cake was really beautiful and delicious.
We walked into an empty restaurant and were seated directly next to the only other people there. We then finished our appetizer and waited 45 minutes for the steak to come. As the restaurant filled I heard people expressing the same issue. When you wait that long for the food to come, it should be mind blowing. It was not.
Price does not reflect the food; quality or presentation. While a nice atmosphere, the initial impression is of fine dining. However, once the food is served, the opposite is realized. Dishes where sardines are served inside the can from the corner grocer should not allow for a menu of 50-100 USD per plate. Service was friendly and without delay. Overall the expensive and unsavory food does not warrant another visit nor any recommendation.
Really good drinks and nice staff, Mo and Jelena. That’s where it ends. We ordered the $250 and the $150 steaks. One medium and the other medium well. Both came out well done. That’s not cool. Also I was really not impressed to be paying these prices. The apps were ok, and sides were inedible. Not gona return.
I used to regularly order burgers from this restaurant because they were always juicy, flavorful, and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered, the quality was completely different. The burger had a large chunk of cheap, inedible fat mixed in, making it unpleasant and unstable to eat. Very disappointing — I won’t be ordering again. What happened to the quality?
When we went to try out the food to make a Sheva Brochas here the food was delicious, beautifully plated, exceptional service, manager was amazing. When we got to the restaurant for the actual Sheva Brochas we were shocked. The tablecloths were beyond creased! the floor was dirty... The salad was suppose to have strawberries, they used peaches instead. The main course was not edible! the short ribs were beyond dry, the steak was horrible! no-one touched the main course! Dessert was different then we ordered. It was suppose to have pistachios, but had walnuts instead. It was soft and mushy. When we tried it- it was hard and delicious. We were beyond humiliated that we choose this restaurant. I would not recommend to make any event here! ONLY pros- the waiters were very nice and accommodating, but were overworked that night. The pasta was delicious.
Couldn’t be more disappointed across the board. Went for a date night. The music was off and we could only hear the sound of a kid yelling behind us, and a group of men practicing their weekly hymn. The food was the worst part. The fla gras sandwich tasted like thanksgiving leftovers in the worst way. The salad was so SALTY! How is a salad too salty?! Then the steak. We order the organic steak tomahawk for two MR. It came out well done. We sent it back then when the next steak came out each piece had been cut and cooked individually. I’ve been to dozens of steakhouses and never seen this done. And there is a reason for that, it was horrible. At least the service staff automatically but the gratuity on for me. Lol
New management =Terrible food I live near this restaurant and would go often for lunch or do take out and the food was always great. Unfortunately since the change in staff & management the quality has gone down. Went in for a to go order, got home and almost immediately threw it out. All the pasta dishes were so salty myself and my friends couldn’t eat the food all our money wasted. I tried calling the restaurant a few times no answer so I stopped by and spoke with a server she asked for my name and number and let me know the manager would call to make things right, I haven’t gotten any call. Such a disappointment that the food sucks now.
Service is very rude. Waited over 1,5 hours for the food
I visited here last weekend. Service is super slow, the waiter showed up 20 minutes after we were seated and the waiter didn't even know the menu and was literally yawning while writing order.
My friends and I were extremely disappointed with the food and service at MEAT NY. We knew something was wrong when we had to flag down waiters and wait 30 minutes for a Diet Coke. The accompaniments for the charcuterie board came after the meat was eaten and the sauce for the steaks came after the steaks were mostly eaten. The wet aged USDA prime for 4 came to the table raw and when we sent it back to cook for longer the resulting product was inedible. I nearly vomited when I had a taste of the lemon tart. The food in general was extremely salty and lacked the finesse I would expect for the prices charged. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I ordered through a third party and more than half of the menu that is listed online is not listed for delivery. I really wanted to love this meal as I ordered it for dinner for my boyfriend and I, but I just could not enjoy this. The burger tasted bland, the side of “fries” were thick wedges, the bag was burned at the corner and had a strong cigarette smell, the meat sauce and vegan cheese sauces tasted bland. It lacked a lot of flavor and maybe that’s because I had high expectations, perhaps in-door dining would prove this establishment different but I would not give them the opportunity to redeem themselves.
Terrible service. Made a reservation, showed up and low and behold there was no room! Which was fine we sat at a coffee table and we didn’t make a fuss. We ordered a appetizer carpaccio came the size of my pinky. Which was OK for the price I guess. We then ordered Wet aged steak and they told us they didn’t have. 🤨 So we agreed on dried age, MEDIUM RARE. 45 minutes later, we get our steak burnt and hard to chew and consume. We has asked for garlic mayo and our server had no idea what it was! When we searched it up and showed him on our phones, he understood , but when our steak came, there was ketchup no Garlic mayo! We complained and our waitress told us there is no Way he can refund Or replace the steak. Thank God, the boss Reassured us, we will get a new steak. We waited another hour, Very impatient and hungry. Finally, our steak arrived, we already had lost our appetite, But the steak was good. Very busy and tight spaced. They need to work on their seating and service.
Rude waiter. Gave us attitude from the first minute. We were extremely turned off. I also asked for any option of white chicken and he told me they don’t have. I later saw they had a whole separate menu he deliberately didn’t tell me about. Then I asked them to add a birthday topper or something to the dessert, and they just completely ignored. And no, they weren’t busy at all so that’s not the excuse. The food was actually good. But I’d rather put my money elsewhere. At a place that appreciates their customers and tries to make them happy. I don’t recommend.
