Overall rating: 4.6 This place popped up on my FYP for a good night out in the neighborhood. Rather than a late night I activity, I went for an after work drink spot. I didn’t realize it was also a coffee spot. Def want to come back during the day. The spot is nice but it wasn’t what I was expecting. I did go early. But it was very surprised there wasn’t any happy hour. It was a lot more mellow than I was expecting and with the very little people there, the music was so loud. Tried the beef patty too & it was alright. Def needed an accompanying sauce. The staff was very friendly but not sure if I’d go again. Doesn’t seem like the place for me.
Good vibes. There’s plenty of people sitting and working, even taking video calls. There’s some outlets in the back. The barista sets the tone and runs the shop. There was only one staff member when I was there on a Thursday morning and she held it down. At first, I didn’t like my Matcha latte because I thought it was too much Matcha powder, but I stirred it up and I was like ‘you know what that’s actually pretty good.’ I drank my drink on the couch, people watched for a bit and went on about my day. great little spot. Only con, there’s no food, just pastries.
Amazing owners and a great vibe. The wine list is rotating so you can always expect to try something new and tasty. I love that they are always hosting different type of events. Definitely the go to wine bar/cafe in Crown Heights!!
Huge fan of Miss Barb's here! Their coffees are fab and the couple of baristas who I usually see are super friendly and funny. Have only interacted with the owners a couple times but they seem like really good people who care about our community. No shade to the chain coffee places, but Miss Barb's is my spot. Shop local! Love yall.
Love Miss Barb’s so much. This place exudes good vibes and comfort! The owners are so kind and the coffee is excellent. Highly recommend making this a part of your coffee rotation!
This coffee shop has become so much more than just a spot for caffeine it’s a cornerstone of the community. Brandon and Shay, the owners, have cultivated a warm, inclusive environment that offers far more than just space, WiFi, and wine. It’s a place where I’ve learned to play spades, shared collaborative ideas, and enjoyed memorable wine tastings. From the delicious mochas to the perfectly baked cheddar biscuits, every visit feels like a treat. But it’s the atmosphere the intentional community and genuine kindness that keeps me coming back. This business is my favorite example of what it means to “have it all” right in the heart of the neighborhood. Thank you, Brandon and Shay, for creating more than a coffee shop. You’ve built a third space that feels like home
LOVE this place. It’s my new favorite in the neighborhood. Coffee and treats during the day, wine at night. Super friendly staff, delicious coffees and tasty baked goods. WiFi users will be thrilled to find outlets available by most tables.
Quaint and chill vibe here with a well rounded coffee menu. The fabulous photo of Miss Barb was my second favorite after the service.
This place is great. Just go. They did a beautiful renovation, the space is inviting and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. They serve Devoción coffee 10/10, and the food options are solid. The cheddar biscuits are SO GOOD, so are the oatmeal cookies and lemon loaf. My new go-to place.
Let me start off by saying, “There should be a Miss Barb's in every borough.” The vibes are immaculate with exquisite taste and the owners are an aura of their own category. An upgrade in any neighborhood.
first of all you get a trip to a cozy and pleasant cafe here it is pleasant and calm to be with very high-quality coffee
Beautiful new coffee & wine bar on Nostrand/Sterling 🙏🏼 Gorgeous interior and incredible music (r&b, soul, good vibes✨). Perfect iced lattes by Shea 🥰
Great coffee, impeccable vibes, great during the day to chill and do some work or hang with friends in the evening with a glass of wine

Amazing spot! The friendliest owners pouring up great coffee and wine. During the day the space has the perfect atmosphere for chilling with friends and getting some work done. At night it turns it to a cozy wine bar with some grown mood lighting. Also probably one of the best sound systems and music selections of any coffee shop in NYC. They put a lot of heart into this place and it shows. So glad this opened up in the area!
A warm, welcoming coffee spot that also has your wine cravings in the evening. Events are a regular thing and the vibes are immaculate. Go to spot in the community.
Lovely cafe with tastefully designed interior & great coffee. 10/10 atmosphere, they always have a great playlist going in there. Super cool baristas & friendly staff. Great place to bring a computer and get some work done. I’ve never been during the evening wine bar hours, but it always looks busy and lively!
Miss Barb's is such a safe place for everybody. Is the only black owned neighborhood Cafe and Wine bar. An our area needs something that's culturally positive. Where you can come have your coffee work in the morning and then on a wednesday starts there Wine bar, which a great natural selections, is definitely a place to come. And just have a great time and they also have pop of events. I would always recommend this way to anybody that comes.
Great little spot…cozy atmosphere and friendly and welcoming bar tender (Miss Barb’s son). It’s a coffee shop by day that transforms into a bar in the evening, which was a pleasant surprise. I wish they had beer on tap, but the selection of canned beers is solid. I’ll definitely be coming back. Also great vibes and music.
What a warm and lovely space! The owner is warm and inviting, the vibe was perfect.

I’ve been to Miss Barb’s twice now and it’s such a cute, cozy spot. It’s perfect for co-working or getting out of the house for a few hours. Both times I ordered the chai tea latte and it was great. They also have a small selection of desserts and will warm them up for you. I tried the oatmeal raisin cookie and it was really good. In the mornings it isn’t too busy, which I love. I can see it getting busier later with people looking for a comfortable place to work without being stuck at home. It is also a great spot for a coffee date. The tables are small and intimate, and although the space itself is not large, it feels warm and inviting. After a certain time it transitions into a bar serving wine, beer, and other drinks. I have not experienced that side yet, but I am definitely curious. They will definitely be seeing me again.
Was running around trying to find a place to kill some time. I came across miss barbs and it was like a beacon of warmth and hope. With it being in the single digits outside. Spaces like these are really important. Ordered a hot latte. It was just what I needed.
