I had the pork neck with sweet potato noodles and the egg rice rolls, and they were super tasty! The pork was tender, the soup had a nice kick, and the noodles were chewy in a good way. The egg rice rolls were soft and really fresh. Everything felt homemade and comforting. I’ll for sure come back again!

比隔壁好吃,烧鸭皮脆不咸,价格算公道,服务也不错,堂食有热茶,留点小费。

Star Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Tucked into the perpetual motion of Brooklyn’s Eighth Avenue—where storefronts blur into a living, breathing Chinatown—this Cantonese restaurant feels like a small but gratifying discovery. Proof, perhaps, that comfort and craftsmanship can still assert themselves amid the chaos of a busy street. I was drawn in by a boldly printed poster in the window advertising two house specialties: a sweet tofu dessert and something called Crispy Honey Char Siu. Prices here run slightly higher than the competition—noticeably so when you consider that similar dishes can be found just two doors down. But what sets this place apart is its confidence in that signature char siu. At first bite, I was momentarily disappointed: the promised “crispy” exterior never materialized. I had expected a lacquered, crackling crust. Instead, the crunch revealed itself in the meat’s texture—dense, springy, and pleasantly resistant, reminiscent of the black boar pork chops I’ve enjoyed in the past. A brief conversation with the owner clarified the intent: the crunch is internal, textural rather than structural. A misnomer, perhaps—but once expectations are reset, the char siu proves genuinely delicious. The egg noodles, however, are a weaker link. Their soggy consistency detracts from the dish, and this isn’t a matter of technique but of sourcing. Without the proper egg-to-flour balance, the noodles simply lack the resilience needed to hold up in broth. A switch in noodle supplier would go a long way here. Service is a mixed experience. The owner is attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming, setting the tone for the room, though that level of care isn’t consistently echoed by the rest of the staff. Still, there’s enough heart—and enough promise—to make this a place worth revisiting, particularly for the char siu and the comfort-driven desserts that first caught my eye. In a neighborhood saturated with options, this spot doesn’t rely on novelty alone. It’s imperfect, but earnest—and sometimes, that’s exactly what keeps you coming back.

Been to this place a couple times. The older ladies are nice but the young one is very rude and impatient. With the same price for food and service, I would prefer to dine in at a dim sum restaurant.

服务员态度差!我以后都不去了,作为做街坊生意的餐馆,企台对客人呼呼喝喝,我几解花钱来受气,跟你门出品接近的大有人在

Overpriced compared to Ng’s Kitchen next door. Congee also does not taste as good. Very watery. $6 for a container of soy milk is crazy.

Food was overpriced. Cantonese lo mein was sour - went bad. Roast pork - asked for half fatty and half lean- got super lean and tough. I would not go back there again.

Brought soy milk with the fried dough (cow tongue). It’s not fully cooked - raw dough inside!!!

I ordered a mushroom, chicken and Chinese sausage casserole. The waitress served the dish with TWO small pieces of Chinese sausage. I was in so much shock and asked her are there only supposed to be TWO pieces. She went yeah yeah. 😂😂😂. I have never been to any other Chinese restaurant as stingy as this place. Will never come back.
