It is a new board game cafe on 86th st. The shop is spacious, clean and organized. There are hundreds of board games for kids and adults. Price is very reasonable and service is great. They open until 10pm from Sunday - Thursday and open until 1am on the Friday and Sat. Don't be shy to ask the staff if you don't know how to play the games. This cafe also serve drinks and food. It is a great place to hang out with friends.

This is the second board game cafe I've gone too and wow the difference in quality is huge. The board games are well kept and there's so many to choose from. The employees are nice and accommodating and the food and drinks are very good too. It's only $10 per person for 3hrs which is a steal. The interior is so cute and welcoming. It is a very welcoming and social place to be and definitely a great place to hang out with your friends. The staff here is very kind and helpful! I've been coming to this cafe since they opened during covid, and they've been very consistent with pricing, quality of service, and attentiveness. Honestly, they have one of the best value loyalty programs I've seen (it's free), and there's a really extensive food/drinks menu. I've never felt more welcomed here and highly recommend this place. You can also bring your own board games here if they don't have it on their shelves! Definitely coming back more often

Welcoming and fun atmosphere with an incredibly wide variety of board games and also booster packs for those who likes to play card games. They have private rooms for those who want to play games in a more quiet space, as well as a good selection of snacks and drinks. Definitely a chill spot to hangout at and spend some quality time with your family and friends. Highly recommended!

Wide selection of games and delicious snacks and drinks! I participated in one of their Catan tournaments, and though I did not win I did have a blast. They've also held a Splendor tournament. It's a great way to meet new board gamers too. Amazing staff as well, Elba deserves a raise!

Came here with a bunch of friends, the entrance is really pretty, the white and blue flowers were really beautiful, the place is very modern and it’s really homey. They have a tone of different merchandise, ranging from Hololive cards to Tokyo Revenger stuff. The food is really flavorful (Ordered the seaweed fries) and worth the price. There is a wide range of boardgames to play with, and all of this was only 12. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially with friends.

I always enjoy my experience here. When you go up the stairs to the second floor, you pay a $10 admission fee Mon-Thurs and $12 for Fri-Sun. You can pick either seats or booths. They also have boba and snacks at reasonable prices. Seating is always comfortable, and games are periodically updated and in good condition. Some of our favorite games are Exploding Kittens and Cards Against Humanity. They have a lot of the expansion packs and party rooms for big parties. For today's experience, Daniel was a great help! Definitely come with friends for a fun experience!!

Absolute amazing experience every time I go, there is a huge selection of games and every time I visit I have a ton of fun with friends playing either secret hitler or the board game Risk! Huge fan of this cafe and I would recommend this to group of friends looking for a place to hang out.

It was our first time going to Next Move Cafe and we were both pleasantly surprised with many of the things in the cafe. We went during a weekday when it was not too busy, meaning that everything was quiet and the staff were able to assist us quickly. The selection of board games is incredible, and it felt like we could spend the whole day here. If you don't know how to play a game, the staff can also teach you. In addition, the food was great! I was not expecting there to be so many interesting Asian/Korean dishes. Highly recommend, and I will be coming back!

It's around 10 dollars (if I remember correctly) for 1 person entry, and the staff are extremely friendly. I've never been told before, but supposedly, they tell you when your time is up for your entry. Their food isn't the best, but I recommend their milk tea and seaweed seasoned fries. There are over hundreds of different board and card games here, so it's one of my go-to places to hang out.

The decorations are so colorful and adorable, immediately giving it a cheerful atmosphere, and I really loved how much space there was, with each table large enough to comfortably accommodate any of the games from their impressive selection. I really enjoy my time here, we pay $10-12 admission and $5-6 for a drink and snacks vary in price but generally pretty affordable. They have lots of board games to play. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. I always start off playing Exploding Kittens with my friends and then we end off with a simple topic game where we just talk. The drinks and snacks are fresh and delicious. The worker Daniel was very nice and offered to introduce new games for us to try.

Great food and drinks, large selection of board games (Avalon, Coup, Decorum, and One Night Werewolf recommended!), and plenty of seats for parties of two-to-five or more. Incredibly fun experience here!! The owners and staff have so much passion for board games here, and they love to share that passion with others! If you want to try a new game, but don't necessary want to read the rules, no worries. Some of the staff can teach the table. I've also joined a tourament here, and both JJ and Sandy were such amazing hosts!! They also host party events. And for less crowds, good to come on a weekday. Quite a few board game cafes have popped up in NYC, but I definitely enjoy this place and its people the most!

Lots of board games, events all the time and very price efficient memberships for regulars. The two private rooms have their own temperature regulation for different preferences and going solo is an option because there’s usually staff open to playing with you, though I highly suggest bringing friends. I went here with three friends, four including me on thanksgiving and we got free macaroons! We payed $10 each for admission fee, and payed separately for food. The fries were just right! There are TONS of board game option, I mean TONS. I had so much fun, and I think I might’ve lost three pounds from laughing so hard with my friends while playing games. The entrance is adorable too!

Walking into the door, you are greeted with a wonderful walk of blue and white flowers. The actual store is on the second floor. Walking up the stairs you are greeted with the dining room and where you order. The menu is pretty nice with multiple options. I got the Takoyaki and the peach milk tea. It was delicious. I can with a group of 8, so we got a private room. There are multiple room, the one I went to has an underwater/space theme and is very beautiful. There are hundreds of board games to choose from. There are also a lot of merchandise from different anime. It cost $12 per person for entry and then food is separate. I spent $16 for my food.

It is decent for $10-12 admission for 3 hours of game time. The atmosphere is relaxing and quite spacious. The booth can fit 6 people. And there is also a large room that is great for role-playing game with some privacy. Ordered some teas, seaweed fries, and fried chicken wings. Food and drinks are decent but portion is not huge if you are sharing between 4 people. Overall, this is a great place if you love to play boardgames with friends but don’t have the space in the city.

Second time coming here and so far it has been a fun time. Our friends love coming here to play board games. The board games are kept in good condition, and many games to choose from. There are snacks/drinks available to purchase while you hang out. I think it’s worth the admission price ($10/pp) for no time limit!

Came with a party of five on a Sunday afternoon and there weren’t many people, which was great for us. They have a lot of games available to play so we were able to try some new games. Admission fee is only $12 for 3 whole hours on Fridays - Sundays. $10 on Mondays - Thursdays so price is really cheap compared to other board game cafes. We played this category game called Tapple that was really fun. There’s also a card game called taco cat goat cheese pizza that’s super simple to play and is really similar to slap jack. The inside of this place is really spacious and they also have a decent variety of food/drinks. You can choose to become a member and earn points to unlock certain deals. When you register for the first time, you spin their wheel of fortune, which gives you a certain type of perk depending on what you land on (ex: free drink, free candy, free fries, etc). All your purchases also get accounted for in their points system where you can redeem for free things once you reach a certain amount. There’s also a section where they sell their own merchandise that includes tote bags and water bottles. The workers were all really nice and kind, taking the time to explain to us how things worked at the cafe and also helped us find the category game that my friend forgot the name of originally. Highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a place to play board games without worrying about it being too crowded!

This is such great place to hangout. First of all, they have many board games and live rpg scripts. The staffs are very helpful, if you dont know how to play a game or missing players, their staff will gladly teach you, be the moderator for the group or play along. They are also open to recommendations for new games. Secondly, they have a smack menu, their best to me are chicken wings and fries. The milk tea selections are good too. From entry fee to food, all within reasonable pricing. Sometimes me and my friends have couple hours to kill, e.g. we go and play the game killer lol. Thirdly, its a big space, they also hosts for parties, holiday events, and tournaments. Whatever, whenever u want, you name it they will make it happen. All in all had great times playing there, its a wonderful place to stop by and have fun.

Its the cheapest gaming cafe I ever went. Only$10 admission fee per person. Game: Nice place to play board games with friends. Very kindly staff, Lucas and Joanna interpreted those games to us. They would join the game if you don't have enough players. We love the game Silver Bullet. Food: Highly recommend the truffle fries! Crispy with strong creamy taste of truffle. I love small businesses and this board game cafe had a comfy vibe. Upon entering, the owners / staff welcomed me and asked if I was looking for any games in particular / needed help. Good selection of games - both popular and obscure. Docking a star for cleanliness - the floor of the bathroom was reminiscent of a frat bathroom at 2am after a party. The garbage can was overflowing w paper towels. (I’d understand if it was busier, but my date and I were the only two people in here aside from staff). Additionally, the walls (in the game room) have these black smears which make the place not look as presentable as it can be. These smears can easily be washed off with a rag and water and a little bit of pressure. For $12/person on a Saturday night, it makes this spot a fun date night or a good hangout w a group of friends - would definitely come back. I also like the branding / logo of the business

For starters, the environment and food and service. quite good. Nothing to complain about in that regard. Though, I’d like to point out a very specific detail that really lowers my review here. If you are going to play in a TCG tournament, you pay a fee. That’s a given. Now, if you want to stay even after the tournament.. they would charge you.. again?? After the Pokemon tournament I played in happened, I bought approximately 33 dollars worth of food + packs together. Even with that, they will want to charge you the admission fee. This to me is absurd as other places will not charge you any fees as long as you buy something..
