Avis sur Ramen Spot Brooklyn
i got the chicken paitan and it was delicious! i’m always looking for a non-pork base option and this was perfect because it was a duck-base broth. the chicken was super juicy and flavorful. i got a side of their house made chili sauce (not too spicy and a little sweet)—it paired well with the ramen. if you’re craving ramen, ramen spot will def satiate you
Nice place! We only came here for a snack pretty early in the evening but wish that we were able to stay for more! We got the shrimp bao and it was quite delicious. At first just from glance I thought it wouldn't be so tasty, but I was surprised. There was a good balance of sauce and the soft bao contrasted texturally with the crispy, fried shrimp cake. Overall, the bao didn't strike too heavy or rich - a great snack! If I"m in the area again will have to try their various ramen dishes.
really enjoyed here with my girlfriend esp the roasted corn, the strip of maíz was so sweet and amazing in the broth. the broth was quite salty tho, but the gyoza and dip sauce made it better. Was not a fan on the salad it was expensive and mid. I DO LOVE THE CHINESE BROCCOLI THAT I ADDED IN MY RAMEN. The staff was so friendly it made my day and the bathroom is singular and cool.
The best ramen I've ever eaten and it's the second time in the same place. Tonkotsu is a brilliant ramen with a delicate but deliciously fatty meat. Of course there is noodles, there are delicious mushrooms, eggs and all those ramen stuff. A spacious place, super nice and professional service. It's a real diamond in this area. I will come back here more than once and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always loved ordering their Tonkatsu, but today I decided to try a new flavor - Chicken Taipan Ramen! It was really great too!! Rarely see restaurants offer chicken broth and meat option, it is always pork. I truly appreciate their willingness to offer variations! ❤️ Also absolutely love their pork and shrimp buns + fried dumplings as well 😋 best appetizers to have!
I've been wanting to come here for a long time and finally did. The place is large, with plenty of places to sit, nicely finished and clean. The service is very friendly. The food is good. I had the vegetable gyoza - great, very tasty, and the delilah and chicken paitan - I also recommend it! The prices are reasonable, I paid about 30 dollars. Enjoy.
I've been coming here for years since I was like 13 or something and love it here its amazing, but lately it's been off, the other day me and a friend went and the service started nice until the server came up to us after me and my friend were done looking at the menu and was a little frustrated when we didn't call her over when we were done, but I didn't want to be rude. I thought she was just stress so I just left it but everytime she come over she rolled her eyes. don't know what was happening because I actually like the server and the restaurant, but professionalism is a must when you're working with people unless they are very rude. I hope it was just a bad day 💗
If you're looking for authentic ramen noodles, than The Ramen Spot will be one of Manhattan Avenue's finest options. In terms of flavor, The Ramen Spot delivers wholeheartedly. I ordered both the Tonkatsu ramen and the Miso Vegan Ramen, and both dishes were excellent. I ordered a side of extra miso eggs and their homemade chili paste to compliment my meal. The tonkatsu ramen centerpiece, the broiled pork belly, was excellent. The noodles in both dishes were toothsome and cooked nicely, and both broth's were rich and bursting with their respective flavors. Service at The Ramen Spot was also quite good, though I suspect that to be because I was the only patron in the restaurant that night. I came in on a Saturday night at about 9:00, an hour and a half before closing. When I got there, there was one other patron finishing up his meal, the rest of the restaurant was totally empty. I suspect this is because I came in so late at night, when most other Brooklynites had already finished their meals and moved onto the drinks. Even so, it was surprising, and a bit jarring, to see the restaurant as effectively a ghost town. While the service and food were both good, I do have some minor complaints. For one, I was warned about the chili paste when I ordered it, I was told I "definitely wouldn't need more than one." As a spicy food enjoyer, I was very excited by the idea of a very spicy ramen, and insisted that they bring both of the orders of chili paste. When it arrived to me, i was dismayed to discover that it was actually quite mild, and lacked any real bite or further depth. This disappointed me, because the sides of chili paste were an additional two dollars per portion. This brings me to my main complaint about The Ramen Spot, and the reason I simply cant bring myself to give the food a perfect 5/5, the price. The Ramen Spot definitely falls into being one of the more expensive bowls of ramen that I've had. Its not outrageous, but it seems excessive given how expensive the soup additions also are. Unfortunately, I would be an insincere food enjoyer as well not to mention that during my meal, a roach did run across my foot and under the booth seating. It turned my stomach a bit, but being Brooklyn, it wasn't a huge turn off, and did not prevent me from enjoying my meal. Overall, The Ramen Spot is a place that all Japanese food enjoyers should stop by when their in Greenpoint.
Walked in around 7pm on a Sunday and got seated right away. Ordered karaage chicken and tonkotsu ramen (added roasted corn–real corn!). Tonkotsu broth was a bit subtle for my liking, the pork was tender but a little fatty, and the soft-boiled egg could’ve been more seasoned. You can ask for chili powder and/or oil to add a kick to the broth. Overall decent bowl of ramen and friendly service–would return to get my ramen fix.
Very recently my mom and I visited Ramen Spot Made in NY in Brooklyn, and unfortunately, we left disappointed. We started with the karaage chicken, which, while flavorful, was extremely dry — so much so that even the dipping sauce couldn’t make up for it. For my main, I ordered the Shoyu ramen and swapped the pork belly for chicken. When it arrived, the chicken was actually cold, as though it had been added after the ramen was already finished. I asked for it to be reheated, which they did, but it didn’t make much of a difference. The broth tasted like it came straight from a carton, and overall the bowl lacked seasoning and depth of flavor. My mom ordered the chicken paitan ramen, which had more flavor than mine, but still tasted store-bought and fell flat. This was her first time trying ramen, and sadly, the experience left her saying she probably wouldn’t try ramen again — a real letdown, as I was hoping she’d enjoy it. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful ramen, I’d recommend heading to places like Ichiran, Ramen Danbo, or one of the many other excellent ramen spots in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.
I took 2 points off because I received NO utensils or napkins. I ordered (DoorDash) the : Tonkotsu Classic (pork /ramen) - it was good but pics are deceiving. The 3 pork portions were small Takoyako(octopus balls) - VERY GOOD I work in the area and always wanted to try them. The food is really good, but it’s not something you should have every day, as it’s very fattening and some dishes are salty
