Love the market and multiple food vendors adjacent! I do wish the ongiri had an uncooked salmon option! The market has a lot of the staples you can find in Japan, like real wasabi and multiple known Japanese brands. There's a great outdoor area with a fire pit in the winter and a lovely space in the spring, summer, and fall for sitting outside.

This place is the only densely Japanese place you can find in NYC. I didn't like anything in Astoria or Manhattan. It just didn't feel Japanese. But Japan Village all we need here in NY (although small compared to Flushing and Manhattan Chinatown), it's all you need. If you live far, I recommend only going on Saturdays because they do events. You can go on other days, it won't be lively but its still manageable. I always end up spending $100 no matter how hard I try not to spend money 😭😭😭

Great food, shopping is cool on the second floor and the grocery store on the first floor is filled with stuff you just can’t really get anywhere else. All the food vendors hit. The courtyard is such a nice vibe. Surrounded by cool stores and stuff to do.

I love this spot too much. From Anime/Manga figures to Japanese food and household items. You will find it all in here, sweet, sour, or whatever you're into there's a variety of places to choose from and fill your wants. Family friendly restaurants to spacious and cozy joints for the romantics. Get your groceries to last minute gifts (don't wait until the last minute C'mon people), you got it all here. Make it a date with yourself and go explore for yourself (if you have someone to tag along with you, even better). It's worth it!

If you’re looking for a place in New York with authentic Japanese vibes, Japan Village is definitely worth a visit. They offer a great selection of ramen and other Japanese dishes, along with a Japanese grocery store. Inside the building, you’ll also find popular retailers like Book Off, Daiso, and other Japanese shops. They occasionally host Japanese cultural events as well, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Japan Village is a surprisingly charming find tucked inside an otherwise industrial part of Brooklyn. The space opens into a lively collection of food stalls, a grocery market, and even an outdoor patio in the back. We ordered from three shops including okonomiyaki & takoyaki, karaage, and a Jiro-style ramen. Everything was packed with flavor, and the ramen was impressively rich for a food-hall setting. It’s not gourmet dining, but the quality is solid across the board and the variety makes it a fun way to sample a bunch of Japanese bites in one stop.

I love this Asian market that has so much stuff. I prefer it to HMart for the vibe. The food hall side of it is great. Wide selection of soups like udon, etc, great sushi, and lots of other things. Stop on the way to Costco or MicroCenter which are both only blocks away.

A great place to relax, eat, and shop. There is a grocery store, many restaurants, a Daiso, and a Bandai store. It's clean, handicap accessible, and easy to navigate. And yes, there are restrooms as well.

What a spot in heaven, right here in Brooklyn. Good food, great clothing (shout out to Live Bait!) and a pleasant overall experience. It's like going on vacation without having to deal with TSA!

In the heart of New York City, lies Japan Village. This two floor cultural oasis is dedicated to immersing visitors in the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of Japan. Whether it is mochi pounding or tea ceremonies or authentic Japanese food, there are tons of things to eat and do in Japan Village to experience Japan, without having to travel there. The first floor is mainly for food and drinks. There are 10 food stalls, 5 restaurants & bars, a grocery store, a liquor store, and a bakery & café. The food stalls offer various foods, from bento boxes to finger foods to onigiri to ramen. Seats are limited, so get here early or have a friend save a table for the group! Of course, you have to check out the Sunrise Mart. This is a Japanese supermarket that offers authentic ingredients, fresh produce, sushi-grade fish, ready-made meals, condiments, and cosmetics. The second floor consists of 6 shops: Book Off, Daiso, Bandai Namco, Taro's Origami, Japanklyn, and Kiddleton. For anime and manga lovers, you have to check out Book Off, Kiddleton, and Bandai Namco for some amazing collectibles! For those that want to explore more of Japanese culture, check out Daiso, which is a Japanese dollar store, or Japanklyn, a lifestyle store that blends Japanese streetwear and culture with a Brooklyn's touch. You will need more than one day to check everything here! Especially, since Japan Village is just a small part of Industry City. I highly recommend you plan your day in advance, especially since some stores are difficult to find. You should also check out their social media pages and their website to learn about their events! They offer tea ceremonies, interactive Japanese horror experiences, magical girls festival, idol events, and much more!

The downstairs has alot of restaurants, liquor store, and a Asain supermarket. The upstairs has a huge Book-off with tons of action figures, books and a game system to play on. There's also a bunch of claw games

Very cute atmosphere. Lots of different food vendors. I tried out a place that made onigiri. Would definitely return to try out more!

Japan Village in Industry City feels like a little slice of Tokyo tucked into Brooklyn. The food hall has everything from fresh sushi and ramen to Japanese curry, mochi, and even a bakery with fluffy breads. The market is stocked with authentic Japanese groceries, snacks, and sake, which is perfect if you want to take the experience home. It can get crowded (especially on weekends), but that’s part of the energy. A great spot to eat, shop, and wander if you’re craving Japan without hopping on a plane.

Japan Village in Brooklyn is a wonderful destination that brings the essence of Japan right to New York City. The vibrant marketplace offers an array of authentic Japanese foods, household items, and cultural experiences that transport you to the heart of Japan. Whether you're indulging in tasty ramen or exploring unique shops, it's a must-visit spot for anyone interested in Japanese culture.

This place is everything you expect it to be and then some. I've been to Japan a few times and I would say this is the closest to Japan you will get in NYC. Not to mention it's part of a bigger complex of other shops and restaurants converted from old warehouses and machine shops. Visit Industry City in Brooklyn, a quick ride on the N train from Manhattan and you'll be there in about 25 to 30 mins from Union Square.

I visited Japan Village in NYC for the first time during the Japan Expo, and it was such a fun experience! The atmosphere was lively, and there were plenty of free food samples to try, which gave a great taste of authentic Japanese flavors. There were also many good deals on various products, making it easy to pick up some unique items at a good price. I got to try sake as well, which was a highlight of the event. Overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to explore Japanese culture, food, and drinks in the city.

Very nice buildings and atmosphere overall. Was there for their new year event. Supermarkets on the first floor are decent. you can buy all kinds of Japanese food and sauce there. Food options are reasonable. On the second floor you can find a bunch of toys from animation which was a huge surprise for me!

Very cool experience located in Industrial City Brooklyn. Japan Village is to Japan, what Eataly is to Italy and what Little Spain is to Spain. There are a handful of kiosks that sell different types of Japanese food items, including various sushi rolls, hand rolls, okonomiyaki, fried octopus balls, there is a sake bar and noodle bar, as well as ramen. Plenty of little and long tables to sit at to enjoy your meals. In addition there is an indoor restaurant and several restaurants outside of the main area which you need to access by going outside. There is also a large Japanese supermarket on the 1st floor and a type of dollar store on the 2nd floor, accessible by stairs or an elevator. Highly recommend if you like Japanese food.
