Avis sur Safir Bakery & Cafe Brooklyn
Safir of my favorites cafes in Brooklyn! been coming for years - Food is delicious, coffee is good & the baklava here is top tier
I know this place since 2017. They have the best baklava in Brooklyn 👌 nothing even to compare with other places
Everything was so delicious specially su böreği and sutlac. at the end we drinked Turkish coffee. We were so happy to be here. Strongly recommended.
Safir Bakery is an amazing spot! The store is very clean, and the staff are so sincere and welcoming—it truly feels like a warm place straight from Türkiye. The desserts are incredibly fresh and taste exactly like the ones you’d find back home. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. Highly recommend!
For the fourth year in a row, the Turkish café Safir has become part of our family on Kings Highway. It’s where my husband spends his evenings studying, and where the staff welcome us not as customers, but as old friends. His table feels as if it’s reserved by fate, the coffee is always served with warmth, and the smiles are genuine—straight from the heart. This morning, we visited them again, now at their new location on Ave U… and breakfast, as always, wasn’t just delicious, but comforting. The kind that makes you feel: home is far away, but here, you’re also awaited. ❤️☕🥐 We’re grateful—for the patience, for the smiles, and for the fact that in this noisy world, there’s a place where we can come and simply belong. Our plan for the future is simple: to keep coming back, bringing friends and our kids, celebrating small victories and big moments right here. P.S. May there always be a table by the window for my husband—and may we always have more and more reasons to come.
Probably one of the best baclava in all of Brooklyn. Super fresh and baked daily on premises. Also, plenty of authentic Turkish coffee and tea.
Fantastic Experience at Safir Bakery! I recently visited Safir Bakery, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The selection of pastries, bread, and cakes was impressive, each item looking more delicious than the last. I opted for a selection of their croissants and a slice of their chocolate cake. The croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery, while the chocolate cake was rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed. They were knowledgeable about the products and provided excellent recommendations. Overall, Safir Bakery is a gem. The quality of the baked goods is outstanding, and the customer service is top-notch. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for delicious treats and a pleasant experience. I will definitely be returning soon!
What a local gem! Very friendly staff and amazing Turkish food. It's my local spot to get Baklava, but today I wanted to try their brunch options - so glad I did. Friends have been telling me that it's a great spot, and indeed, it lives up to it. I got the salmon Benedict and Turkish tea. Solid brunch. Great atmosphere.
NATIONAL BAKLAVA DAY 🎉 On November 17th, it’s National Baklava Day. Baklava, once a dish so special it was only considered fit for the rich, is popular around the world today. Many countries, including Lebanon, Armenia, Turkey, and Greece have their own regional variations of baklava, and prepare it for festivals and other special occasions. 📍 Safir Bakery & Cafe 2724 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11229 Review: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (5 out of 5 Stars) It’s so good. Fresh, sweet, and delicious. Baklava’s sweet layers of texture and flavor are created between sheets of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and drizzled with syrup or honey. 🏷 #handmade #baklava #safirbakery #brooklyn #nyceats
I really like the people and the ambience at this café, and the food itself is decent. Unfortunately, this was the second time I experienced issues with this particular employee. I made a point to explain my order clearly and had her confirm it, yet she was still unable to execute it correctly. I ended up paying $35 for a sandwich with eggs I had requested on top but never received that way, a scrambled egg side that shouldn’t have been charged separately, a coffee she couldn’t get right three times, and a cookie. Misunderstandings happen, but once the owner realized his employee couldn’t execute the order as requested, he should have at least apologized or offered a partial refund — at the very least removing the coffee from the bill. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and the issue was never fully rectified, so I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere. While the café has a lot going for it, repeated mistakes like this make it hard for me to continue coming here, and I won’t be returning.
Disappointed safir bakery I'm a regular customer order everytime I know how your baklava taste that's why I love it but I came 2 days ago I bought for 160$ sweets and bought 4 pounds baklava and it doesn't taste good it taste like burnt or something weird to it I don't but I'm mad for spending 160$ for something not worth it do better then that you losing one of the best customers this picture all waste no body wat it
Very disappointed. I arrived at 8:43 PM—well before their posted closing time—but was told they were already closed because they were 'cleaning.' If you’re planning to go late at night, be careful; they clearly don't honor their official hours. It’s a waste of time to travel here only to be turned away early.
The Avenue U location is a joke. The young girls behind the counter are disgustingly RUDE. To the girl with the heavy eyeliner and long gold necklace, do you feel better about throwing my cash at me and having it fall over the counter? To come in and purchase baked goods to then be treated horribly during the entire exchange is unacceptable. I don't know who raised y'all, but don't waste your time and energy at this bakery. DISGUSTING EMPLOYEES.
First of all, I don't recommend this place to anyone. Why? I went here this morning and the girl with the hat working the cash register was talking to me in a very rude manner. I sat down and she brought me cold tea. What a disgrace! How do you employ such employees? It's obvious the owner doesn't care about customer satisfaction at all. If she did, she wouldn't have that skinny girl with the hat working there.‼️‼️‼️ (KİNGSHIGHWAY LOCATION )
BAD!! I stopped in at 2 PM and was told the kitchen was already closed — which struck me as odd for the middle of the day. When I asked about it, the staff’s response was curt and dismissive, and their overall attitude made me feel unwelcome. The way I was treated left me feeling singled out and extremely uncomfortable. This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve had, and I will not be returning.
This location employee a guy with tail told us we cant drink tea from glasses after 8PM. We were just 3 people. If guy care about customers he would have made an exception if it is a rule in your guys place. But if its a rule its ridiculous. Anyways we didnt drink here and wont be back anytime soon. Say thanks to the guy in front! Kings highway location is better. Here service sucks tbh
