Naj and I went to The Steel Mill to chill and chat for a little. It was a nice spot on Bushwick Ave. in Brooklyn NY. The restaurant had an unusual decor looking like steel hence the name The Steel Mill. The bartender was so cute and friendly. She is from Ukraine. She was quick with getting our drinks which was Margarita from the draft. It was so refreshing. The meal was just what we needed to fill us up. Naj had the wings, I had shrimp tacos and we both shared the nachos. We visited a couple of more times and will definitely go again especially for the margaritas!
Saturday I hosted my brother's 50th birthday party at The Steel Mill. It was absolutely amazing! The food, decor and most importantly the hospitality given by the owner JR was the best. My brother as well as all of the guest loved everything about The Steel Mill. It was the perfect location for the party. The light decor on the walls as well as the base of the bar is beautifully amplified when the lights are dimmed. There is more than enough space for major decor if you're hosting a party. I was able to have a backdrop area for photos on one side and in the other corner set up a King's throne with pillars so my brother can feel like a real King. Everyone was able to eat, take photos, dance, drink and just enjoy themselves comfortably. JR went up and beyond to accommodate all of us to the fullest. He personally made sure that all of our needs and requests were met. JR is and always have been a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with.
Great happy hour until 8pm M-F. The drinks, food and ambiance was great. The bartender was efficient and friendly even it got busy really fast around 7pm. The inside and outside seating was a plus. The vibe was chill. Definitely recommend the Steel Ritas! Great addition to the neighborhood. We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed coming here with my partner. They had an amazing atmosphere, great service, and a lot of options. I was really excited to see they had jalapeño margaritas. I ended up getting a chicken quesadilla and I was amazed at the presentation ans quality. I would come back here again in a heartbeat.
The food won’t be fast but it will be delicious! I’ve been a couple of time, had dinner and brunch here and the food is worth the wait. The drinks are absolutely incredible.
Great dope vibes every time we come. I enjoy the metal frame and look. KARAOKE here rocks as well.
Happy hour and a outside patio. Yessssss. The happy hour drinks were a little on the sweeter side but still good. The waitress was really sweet.
I love the design, the food is amazing, and the variety of drinks are so on point. Try them all.
The drinks are delicious with many options. The atmosphere price less. You won’t be disappointed.

Didn't even know this spot. Love , love experiencing new Brooklyn gems. Came through to celebrate the earthday of my sorority sister last week. One prerequisite was to wear white (pure, concentrated energy). Twas beautiful to see and feel us all in white. Anteways, Mill is a very cool open music spot with an outside extension for folks who need to smoke. They offer an extensive menu from happy hour to lunch to dinner. We ordered the delicious teriyaki and buffalo wings & truffle steak fries. Though seemingly overwhelmed at times, the bartenders handled themselves and made some good drinks. It's a really cool vibe, as long as you have the right DJ on the 1s & 2s!! That Friday, we did!!!

This place has a nice aesthetic, however it’s lacking its own vibe… It’s basically empty most of the time throughout the week.. occasionally I see them with small crowds. The food is underwhelming and the drinks while creative need to be perfected to be worth a return… I ordered the chicken wings and Truffle fries… but the chicken wasn’t seasoned well at all…I was told by the bartender that the sauce is where the seasoning comes from 😧… sauce or not the wings should be thoroughly seasoned… the truffle fries were hard to enjoy or even get through because they pour/drizzle truffle oil over the cooked fries which is nauseating especially since the oil isn’t a high quality truffle oil… The fries should be fried in a truffle infused oil and garnished with shaved truffles or dusted with a truffle salt to enhance the taste. As for the music the bartenders control it…and you just get what they want to hear throughout the night. There should definitely be consideration as to the crowd…and switch it up with mixes to suit the paying customers. All of these things matter when I’m spending my time and money at a bar.

As a server/bartender, I understand that busy nights can be hard to handle depending on how demanding your clients are. HOWEVER, the bartender/server at this establishment had to be called at LEAST 4 times each time I needed something. Overall the vibe is good but I’m not sure they’re understaffed or something along those lines but the service needs improvement for the included 20% gratuity.
The worst food. Disgusting. The fries look like a blind person was cutting them. Everything made in the horrible quality greasy oil. I paid $55 for on of the worst food in Bushwick. I will never come back there. There were 2 tables with orders and one table where the guys were finishing their food, and the waitress was telling us that the kitchen is busy. Lol, busy with whom, with what?
