Avis sur Tina's Place Brooklyn
This was one of the best parts of my NY vacation. This is delicious tastes like home food. The breakfast menu is great. The prices are greater. I ate a full breakfast for 6 bucks. They also do lunch and I believe they close around 4pm. You want lunch at 7am? You got it! My youngest son (24) ordered buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and onion rings. He inhaled it. The plate was outstanding. It's an open concept and the food is cooked near the tables and booths. No out back cooking. They are located in Brooklyn NY. Trust me when I tell you, eat there! You'll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Buy a t-shirt while you are there too. 10 bucks and I picked up 2.
Cash only, but really great pancakes, light and fluffy, and they won’t sit like a rock in your stomach. The banana ones were nice and squishy inside too, just perfect. Free coffee, and tea before 11. Excellent options for people on fat restricted diets as well.
Highly recommended. I rate this place 5 stars because not only was the service amazing but the food came out fast. Everything was fresh, the coffee, the orange juice. The breakfast was hot. Service was great. They treat you like family. We were well taken care of!!! Thank you again!
Been going here for a few years and I love the consistency, even despite covid weirdness. Food is price very well. Attentive and friendly staff. Personally I love their omelets..the Swiss and mushroom is my go-to.. and their burgers are also legit! I highly recommend this spot!
I would go to Tina's a least 3 times a week. I delivered to boars head across the street. Tina was a sweetheart and I miss going there. You made us drivers a mess of good meals Tina and I miss seeing the old crowd!!
Tina’s place is great if your looking for a cheap delicious breakfast that hits the spot ! For $8.99 you get eggs delicious potatoes toast of your choice Sausage or bacon plus coffee! And it’s always consistently good ! Of course they have other things on the menu such as French roast pancakes waffles all delicious oh their meatloaf is the Bomb! !
One of the best little diners in the city! Originally catered to early morning truckers, now is over run by hipsters brunching but Tina's doesn't care, they haven't changed. I belive it's still family run. I personally hope this place never changes. If you love the idea of Waffle house, you'll love Tina's! Perfect greasy hangover food.
We loved dining at Tina's Place. We were recommended there by our Airbnb host for a cheap meal. and it was SO CHEAP. Tasty grilled cheese, just what we needed after a long flight. Service was quick and friendly. The vibe and decor was awesome (I'm from Australia and we don't have diners like this so it was quite a novelty for me and reminded me of something out of a movie).
Classic neighborhood diner run by the same family for over 50 years. Great food for a great price and one of the few places in Bushwick to get a proper sit-down breakfast. The coffee is good too.
This is by far one of the best diners out in Brooklyn! Shout out to Tinas and their whole staff!! Prices are unbeatable and it’s $5.50 for Eggs , bacon or sausage , fries or home fries and a cup of coffee or orange juice.... But you have to eat there, But That’s still a steal!!
Great spot for the classic American style diner. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Prices were right and the portions were big! Can't wait to go back again.
Tina's Place is the best!!! Tina's offers a true gem of a long-time family-owned neighborhood spot with excellent customer service. This isn't a corny millennial brunch haunt; it's a quality, real deal spot with affordable prices, a breath of fresh air. Every time I leave Tina's, I look forward to my return. If there's a line, don't be deterred. Said excellent service means they move quickly to seat you. It'll be worth it!
I’ve been here a bunch. Tina’s is a neighborhood gem that’s been around forever with old school diner vibes and food. One of my favorite spots to frequent for a late breakfast. I always end up getting the Basic Meat. (Good to note that it’s cash only.) I miss seeing Tina. The five stars are for her and the sass she brought to the place. Hoping that she’s well!
This place is really fantastic. Great prices. Friendly service that is fast. Food is excellent. They also have a full taqueria menu. The omelettes are great. Coffee is strong and good. Please never ever close. NYC needs you.
I regularly frequent this diner. My husband and I ordered the waffle deluxe. It comes with a waffle, eggs, home fries, your choice of meat, toast, and coffee. Everything always tastes amazing and the service is on point. This little place is a staple in Bushwick and always aims to please.
you can’t find diners like this anymore 🥲. Tina’s has been there for over half a century and over 3 generations. Solid diner breakfast, served super quick with great service and so affordable. It’s like stepping back into a simpler time in the best of ways. I love Tina’s, please don’t ever change.
A classic in the bushwick area and popular hangover cure destination. One of my favorite places to get well priced breakfast favorites, I recommend the pecan pie (warmed up)! Can never go wrong with Tina’s!
It was great, I stupidly didn't know it was cash only but there was an atm. The food was good and the place was clean, prices weren't too bad either.
This is one of those classic diners you hope never goes away but are always afraid they're gonna get priced out. They are dirt cheap and they deliver exactly what you'd expect out of a diner. Just get your basics and enjoy a simple life for a moment.
The food was very good and the service was exceptional.
Some of the best classic diner breakfast combo and waffles freshly made to order in NYC i have had in years, plus at a great cost. This is a discreet, almost hidden gem. It may be a low key, decades-old neighborhood spot, but don't underestimate the food. Great, attentive staff and service, with Tina herself ever vigilant and constantly taking care of details and customers. Can't wait to stop by again.
My favourite breakfast spot in Bushwick! Super welcoming atmosphere with diner classics (at a great price). No where better to peruse the morning news and sip endless cups of coffee :)
Amazing homey atmosphere, quick service, and great food for the price. Recommend getting here before 11, as it fills up quickly on weekends!
Everything here is delicious, love their waffles and blueberry pancakes. Super friendly, counter stools and wood paneling really create a homey nostalgia that feels like home. Please never change.
I liked it. Breakfast was cheap. I got the simple breakfast. If the hash browns were less soggy and more crispy, this would be my favorite diner.
I love their food. They only take cash but there is an ATM inside.
I fking love Tina’s so much. It’s literally like one of my favorite places in the city, bc it’s feels like home. It’s just so cozy and the atmosphere is perfect for a classic diner. The service is great and the food is incredible. Best breakfast food / diner food out there!! ONE THING, bc it’s so great there usually is a wait on weekends. But it usually goes by quickly and it’s definitely worth the wait :) 10/10 I love Tina’s
I’ve never left a review on here before, so understand that I really mean it when I say that the evening/night time Mexican food at Tina’s is FANTASTIC. The ingredients are fresh (fish, steak, etc) and you can taste it. Jesus and Sol are such nice people, the sauces are great, everything here is an A+.
This place was awesome! The coffee was hot, the corned beef hash was delicious, the over-easy eggs were nice and runny (the way I like them), and the Mexican music was loud!
Sooo delicious! The grits platter >>
Love Tina's place, it's a really good value diner in Bushwick.
A perfect diner: kind people, simple menu, great service. I also enjoyed the hometown ambiance. Hot chocolate was a nice surprise with chocolate chips ❤️
I love this place!!! Perfect diner vibes. Food is so good, portions are huge, and the price is super fair. Cash only!!! ATM inside though. Service is also great, all the employees are nice
The best of the best! This cash only diner serves delicious and fast breakfast and lunch items. Love coming here and getting the simple Tina’s breakfast. Cant beat the prices
Just left here for a quick and easy Sunday brunch. Don’t listen to the weird reviews; this is a very solid spot. Not a Bedford Ave, line-out-the-door-for-a-waffle-photo place. Just a great neighborhood diner that is truly and honestly retro in everything from the wood paneling to the $11.50 breakfast. It’s lovely.
This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is authentic, flavorful with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to make you feel welcome. Whether you’re here for a casual meal or a special occasion, the excellent service and delicious cuisine make it a great choice. Highly recommended!🥰
Tina’s place is an awesome no-frills spot that has an old school feel. The staff are friendly and the food is very solid. It’s cheap and delicious. They have classic breakfast staples on the menu and the vibes are great. Cash only, but there is an atm inside. The bacon is great and everything was perfectly cooked. Love this spot.
A great place for an American breakfast. A little family run business which has been in Bushwick for the last 50 years. The place is quite busy but service is very fast and efficient. Prices are very cheap, they have great breakfast Menus. They have a very big variety of omelets, pancakes, waffles and awesome fresh orange juice. The place is simple but has a great vibe, the perfect place to fill up your batteries before you head out. Will definitely come back when I am in the neighborhood!
This place is absolutely fantastic. It opens around 3am and closes at about 4pm. The only diner-style breakfast place in the neighborhood. Tina herself is pretty much there every day and she keeps the coffee coming. A standard breakfast plate (egg, meat, potato, toast, coffee) is like $6. They also have waffles. If you don't know, now you know.
The prices here are phenomenal! Very cheap. Food was good, I had a burger and fries and my friends had pancakes and some breakfast sandwiches. Bit of a wait before we even got any menus to our table, but it was pretty busy. Was just visiting NYC but if I lived in the area, I’d definitely visit this place quite often!
look, why are you here? you want breakfast and tinas is there for you. is the food good? no. is the service timely on weekends? heck no! but the prices are decent, the folks are friendly enough, and it's a place where a lot of different people get together.
Picture this; it’s your first morning in NYC. You could be staying at one of the nearby hostels, Airbnbs or a hotel. You’ve just arrived this morning and you have no clue what to do. I recommend (if you’re hungry) to go by Tina’s for some breakfast or brunch! The staff are very welcoming and kind too!
You guys gotta change the hours. It’s really unfortunate this spot that used to be open so early now is only open 9-3. The food got better when the new guys took over I’ll say that, but the prices went up too and the hours got way too worse. Every time I can actually go it’s closed now. It’s as if it only serves people who don’t work with hours like these. I wish so bad i could go in and get a coke and a BLT with fries right now after work. Please stay open later at the very least !
Tina’s screams mom & pop shop. Really cozy breakfast spot something you’d see in an old mob movie lol. The foods pretty on point I was hesitant on the coffee but the guy convinced me to get the iced coffee and that was also great. Everything’s got a wait time it’s CoVid season question is it worth the wait? I’d say yes for Tina’s I know I haven’t tried the full menu but my breakfast platter was amazing.
I’ve been coming here regularly for a while because of the lightning fast service, amiable staff, and consistent food. Def not the place to get adventurous (i.e. I got the meatloaf this past time; don’t) but an utter joy for diner staples, especially breakfast. A great choice in a pinch or with limited time; you can conceivably wrap up here in <20 minutes, start to finish.
This place has the feel of an old school diner. No frills diner with good food. Corned beef had seemed like it was from a can but still good. Potatoes cooked with onions, bell pepper, and a tomato sauce need salt but that was a minor fix Servers were very attentive and did well. Not bad for the most important meal of the day.
very no frills, nice waitresses, the art of the budget diner has been forgotten by new york but not here- this is one of the last surviving memorials to the stranger things era
Layout/atmosphere *Greasy spoon diner (in a good way); wood panel walls/wooden benches; eight seat counter; 12-13 tables; one table out front on sidewalk; cash only Service *Good Food/drink *Mexican Omelette (Avocado, tomato, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese) with potatoes & toast - good *Pancakes (short stack) - good
One of the old school dinners that still got left in Brooklyn. Everything is exactly the same like it was 20 year ago, basic food , burn coffee, the hall thing . If you like old fashion dinners, you'll love this place , just don't explain to anything fancy. Prices are really cheap, but the service is really slow, so be patient and take your time . Enjoy !!!
Needed a cheap breakfast to nurse my hang over from a crazy Brooklyn night and Tina's was perfect!! It's a tiny little diner but very personal. The food I would compare to a home made Dennys. Could have used more seasoning.. But was still good over all! The service was slow but the staff was so friendly we didn't mind! Did I mention how CHEAP the menu was 😱 I definitely approve👍🏽👍🏽
Food is ok, solid and good flavor for the most part. The host was so rude to all the customers. Ruined the experience for me. Servers were very helpful and nice.
Food used to be so get and affordable. But today I ordered the service was great but the food was meh blueberry wasn’t so great home fries absolutely no taste or flavor what so ever highly disappointed. The waffles where so good but the chicken with waffle definitely not worth it 4 mini chicken wings like you’ll give it to your dog
Keep Tina’s how it use to be!!! Tell my why 2 coffees and omelette and a Tina’s simple breakfast was a total of 40$ before tip.
Visited today for first time in a while- was unaware Tina was no longer involved- unfortunately the prices have increased and the quality of the food and general experience have decreased. The freshly made corn muffins ( which you could have toasted and buttered) have also gone. In short I miss Tina and her calm friendly efficiency but feel grateful to have eaten many times at the restaurant in its previous guise. “ All things must pass” 😔
I walked in at 1:45 p.m. they were closing at 3:00 p.m. and they rush me to order my food I was fine with that but when I see another people walk in and didn't get the same treatment I didn't like that
I was new to the area and quickly checked the review and saw 4.5 rating. I figured that was good enough and so I went in. It’s an old place really, and the atmosphere was friendly but things looked dingy to me. The water they give in a blue bottle tasted like tap water, actually and I know the difference. The condiments are typical standard diner... I ordered Belgium Waffle which I LOVE and they were not so great…not warm at all..slightly cold. I also ordered egg whites and sausage and they were better than the waffle, though. The decaf coffee was actually and sadly, the best part of the whole breakfast. Spent $20 which included a 35% tip that my waitress deserved.. I never blame the waiter or waitress for bad food..I blame the cook!. Ironically, I overheard a man rave about this diner to a new customer. I thought to myself, “maybe it was a matter of what I ordered on the menu?”…maybe breakfast is their weak point but either way I don’t have any plans of returning…
I came here because my wife said this was the spot to come to. What she didn't know is that it had different owners, same name. Eggs had a funny taste. Home fries tasted watery and not what I usually get for home fries. Bacon tasted like cardboard. Sorry, but not sorry. I am honest in all my reviews.
This place went downhill fast. I don't know if she sold the place used to be good now the food is bland tasteless the waiters hover around you pushing chairs into your knees and legs so that they can make room for the overcrowded area. Also they're expensive so you're going to give me to bland pancakes that are soggy thin soggy bacon and powdered eggs for $16? I'll pass.
Me and my husband went to the restaurant a few days ago and was turn around because it was closed when their website said it closes at 3:30they should fix that or if they don’t want to handle customers they should hire some other people because they were still customers there sitting down eating and I called a other day and asked what time they close and she told me to wait and then hung up on me . I loved Tina the lady she was super nice she was the one always taking everyone good always had time for her regular customers. But till she sold her places it went different they don’t deliver good customer service and you have to pay for something they mess up in your order 😑
I’ve been coming here for years and all I got to say is when Tina and her boys were there it was different: the new staff charged me 1$ for each to-go container: grabbed the bill and changed the price right in front of me after I packed it myself; 48$ for corn beef hash coffee and waffle deluxe w a muffin is just crazy to me for the service and ambience. We don’t even get any bevs so 50$ for two basic meals? we left 60$ but won’t be back .
The restaurant says 330 closing, but they close early all the time
I’ve been a loyal Tina’s customer for 20 plus years and since Tina has left and sold the buisness food quality and service has been awful. I’ve been several times since ( trying to give them a chance)and have found hair in my food on multiple occasions (no one wears a hairnet/hat), eggs often come back raw, paid for extras without getting it, prices have increased/more charges for less food and the costumer service needs improvement! This use to be a staple in the Bushwick community, with a welcoming family/at home feel for generations and it’s sadly declined, it doesn’t feel as welcoming as it once did. This was one of the few places that “ old school Bushwick” had left and a true sense of community. Unfortunely after several attempts to like this new place I will have to look for another breakfast spot. MISS YOU TINA!!!
BEWARE! SAME PLACE - DIFFERENT OWNER . This is the 4th time I’ve come to Tina’s Place during listed business hours and been refused service — most recently at 1:45 PM, even though the posted closing time is 3:30 PM. The inconsistency is unacceptable. On top of that, the food is not what it used to be — portions feel tired, and the taste is nowhere near as good as it once was. A big part of what made this place special was Tina herself, her warm smile and welcoming presence. Without her, the atmosphere has changed completely. The current staff are rude, dismissive, and barely communicative, making the whole experience uncomfortable. A diner with such a long history should treat its customers better. Unfortunately, Tina’s Place has lost both its charm and reliability.
Order home made fries with bacon, I told them repeatedly please to make the bacon extra extra crispy. What I got was soggy bacon instead of. When I complained about it I was told and I quote “slow down mister, I have a lot of orders”with a lazy nasty attitude. I would never order from here again and definitely don’t advise or recommend anyone to eat here. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
