Avis sur Udom Thai Brooklyn
Absolutely amazing restaurant!! Excellent service and extraordinarily exquisite Thai food! Hands down the best Thai food we have ever ate!! Yes, we have been to multiple Thai restaurants nationwide.
My girlfriend and I came here on a whim for dinner. We each got a drink, appetizer, and entree for an amazing ~$30 price. Would highly recommend as it’s great food for a great deal. Happy hour drinks are an amazing deal too.
omg the dish with duck and white rice - holy guacamole!!! We are obsessed!!! It’s called herbal duck or something - Sooooo good!!! You have to try it!
This place is awesome! With Covid and all of the shut downs it felt semi normal to walk in and be greeted like old times. The hostess was nice and gave us a great seat right outside in front. They have individual booths with heat lamps . It was small, but very cozy. The food was fresh and hot. We ordered 3 drinks , 2 appetizers, and 2 full lunch specials all for $61!!!!! This staff were attentive and the service waa excellent !
Food was really good. The woman behind the counter seemed upset because I didn't understand what she was telling me. When I asked her to please repeat herself she had an attitude 🙄. Other than that food was decent.
Love the food, very simple but tasty.
My friends and I tried Udom and it was genuinely one of the best Thai places we’ve ever been to! The portions were huge and we had plenty of food to take home. Our server was super friendly and we went for lunch so the place wasn’t that busy. Highly recommend the Pad Thai - no other Thai place I’ve tried so far is even comparable to the service and quality of food here
To be honest the food and the customer service at Udom Thai used to be second to none. You could buy over $30 in food which in my opinion is pretty decent and they would offer you a free iced tea. Now whenever I call the woman is always rushing and she never take the time to listen to what j have to say. Many times I request certain items and pay for them only to never receive them then when I call they always tell me next time they will add it on the house that never happens. As per the food it used to super delicious but I don't know if it's because they have gotten busier but in my humble opinion the quality went down a bit. It's a pity that loyal customers like myself who have ordering from this establishment from day one when they first opened is simply treated like number. For now I guess I cam tolerate the customer service but not sure about that in the future. WIll I recommend them to family and friends? That remains to be seem. Hopefully their customer service will get better and maybe they will include some kind of appreciation for repeat customers. Let's see.
So freaking good. Love the scallion pancakes. Cute outdoor area. Fair prices. 10 out of 10
Small place but big personality in food! We loved the authentic Thai flavors, and the owners were warm and welcoming!
Everything was great, from the food to service and environment great time
Went here after work with my boyfriend, and it was such a great experience. We ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer, which I loved and my boyfriend was super amazed by it lol. I had the salmon fried rice which was great and I don’t remember what he had but it was some type of chicken , but he loved it ! Service was attentive , an overall great dining experience!
Enjoyed everything about this place!! Had the pleasure of visiting yesterday with family and friends and we enjoyed our food so much. The owned is so nice, friendly and accommodating. Outdoor seating is great! We liked it so much we are headed there again today. Drinks were good too! If you are in BK this is a must try Thai place!
Food was great. We had lunch outside and went for the lunch special, which was a good deal. We were the only ones there, which was surprising. I hesitated to do the full 5 stars only because we had to hunt the server down to be seated, then later to get the check, and again to run the card, which was mildly annoying. We waited quite a while for each of these steps before resorting to that. I'd do like 4.5 stars, if I could. But she was very friendly, and the food as said earlier was good and very reasonably priced, at least for the lunch special. I'd definitely go again.
I placed an order accidentally for pick up instead of delivery. The lady who picked up the phone was really friendly. She offered to deliver my food in a very fast speed! the food was delicious! thank you again! will def come again!
A cute Thai restaurant with a reasonable price! The staff are super friendly as well. We enjoyed our dinner here a lot!
this is definitively the best thai food in central brooklyn. the most flavorful and perfectly seared pad see ew i’ve really encountered in new york. also, they deliver so quickly it often catches me by surprise. it is just high quality food delivered basically on demand for a great price. thank you for your many years of service, udom thai!! you can’t go wrong with anything from the noodles or healthy dishes sections of the menu 🙏🏻
I went with four friends and we all got different things, and it was all delicious! I got the green curry which was really well spiced. Plus it was a great lunch deal—just 9 dollars for the curry, rice, egg rolls and a small salad. Highly recommend!
I’m a new regular and I must say it has been a complete pleasure. Their food is consistent. My favorites are their basil noodles (drunken noodles) and their Hawaiian fried rice. Love the Lychee tea as well. The also accommodate nut and seafood allergies! Major bonus.
Love this restaurant! The place is beautiful and the menu offers a lot of different options. They are very accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. The manager goes out of her way to ensure customer comfort & satisfaction. The fried rice, noodles, fried ice cream and thai iced tea are some of the best classics. Their apple martini & lychee martini are also must-haves.
Stayed next door, ate there a few times, really loved it. Very happy it was close by. Got my fill of Thai food on vacation.
This is another Thai place you need to add to your dining out list. They offer varieties of authentic menu for Thai food lovers. They have cocktail bar too with interesting drinks. Food is flavorful and a big selection of dishes. What we ordered : - Thai Spicy Salmon Salad - Appetizer : Rock and Roll Duck - Appetizer : Curry Puffs - Main Entree : Duck Pineapple Curry - Main Entree : Beef Pad See Ew - Drinks : Lychee Thai Ice Tea and Passion Fruit with yogurt - Dessert : Fried ice cream with green tea ice cream
I have been visiting this establishment since 2008. So, it's safe to say I am a regular. This is my "Cheers". You know the sitcom from 82-93. Enjoy the Thai food, many dishes to choose from and made with various proteins. Traditional meals prepared with taste.
I have enjoyed the food here for years! I have brought my kids to dine in however I almost always order to go as I am usually on the move. Admittedly, I have a select number of dishes that I end up ordering but I truly look forward to them. The proprietor has always been a delight to interact with and patrons look happy whenever I enter. Try the Chicken Curry Puffs appetizer!
I've been going here for the past 10 years. Duck Thai Herbal is my favorite. I come from long island just to order it.
Small Restaurant wonderful atmosphere service was amazing! Very much enjoyed the food. - Curry puffs were huge 😁 (had alot of filling) flavourful, not too sweet, and had a fluffy crunchy outside. Came with a delicious cucumber sauce. - Roti and Massaman curry was amazing. The roti was super soft how I like it, and curry was sweet and flavourful - Rice dried out supppper quick tho and ended being really hard - Peanut sauce dumplings were good.
I have been away from Brooklyn for over a year traveling the country. I have thought about Udom many times on the road and as soon as I got to New York today I got dinner here. It’s better than ever. This food is so fresh and delicious always— tastes like home! Grateful to see is was still open and still awesome!
Loving this place. The happy hour from from 330-730 is incredible. You won’t find a better deal on the Washington strip. Two TopShelf beers for five bucks. No fish seems to be past 16 bucks. You get incredible appetizers for under six bucks. My fried calamari was only six dollars and the portion was more than generous and extremely well cooked. As I set here more and more folks arrived to pick up. Mayling the Happy hour bartender is extremely friendly and funny. She’s training another employed and is extremely nice and patient with him, speaking in volume of the quality of the place. The other plates that I seen come out for others have all been delicious looking and beautifully while simply displayed. I’m in love with this place. Not just for its simplicity and homie/neighborhood confort feel. I can’t leave without saying that the client diversity is wonderful! Loving this place.

I normally get lunch or brunch with the girls here.. but last night hubby and I decided to go.. I tried the seafood rice for the first time and it was go good! Rich light n buttery! And they didn't skimp on the seafood either... Also we had the green mussels seasoned to perfection! And at night it's even more beautiful there. The owner was watering the plants when we sat on the deck! Such a kind staff!!
I was here 2 weeks ago, the food was so tasty and flavorful! I definitely recommend the chicken curry puffs those things were mouth watering! 😋😋 The owner was so nice and attentive in making sure i had a nice experience and i sure did.
In an area where options for Thai food are not hard to find, Udom stands out with its impressive menu and reasonable prices. The service was warm and friendly, and the inside of the restaurant was very cozy. Other customers seemed to be regulars, and the staff know them, which I found very charming. And after tasting the food, I can definitely see why people keep coming back! Everything we tried was delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous. I enjoyed the variety of both more standard Thai fare as well as creative and modern twists on the old favorites. The Tom Yum Fried Rice was something I had seen home cooks make online, but I don't think I've ever seen it on a restaurant menu before (and I've been to a lot of Thai places!). I knew I had to try it and it did not disappoint! Of course everything was delicious but that really stood out. It's obvious why Udom is a neighborhood staple that has stood here for many years: with a friendly and warm atmosphere and delicious food served with fresh ingredients, no matter where you come from it makes it feel a little bit like home.
Q strikes again! 💥 She whipped up a pistachio martini for me tonight and WOW—creamy, dreamy, nutty perfection! 🌰💚 The flavor was spot on, like pistachio got a glow-up. Q seriously never misses. If you haven’t tried her creations yet… what are you even doing?! A Taste of Thailand Right Here! I’ve been searching for an authentic taste of Thailand for the longest time, and let me tell you—Udom Thai delivers! The flavors are spot on, and the crab fried rice is an absolute must-try. It’s easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service makes the experience even better. July is incredible—she’s so courteous, always smiling, and truly goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I love it here and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

Came to this restaurant for first time The atmosphere is beautiful. Met the owner and the staff are very kind people. And cant forget to mention the most important thing. The food is delicious!!! Will come back again.
We came here for the first time just looking for a good fried rice but what we found was a menu full of options, it has plenty of variety, and the portions are generous enough, and the prices are the best part, cuz you don’t have to overpay for a really good meal and people is very kind, they also bring a bottle water with cucumber inside and it tastes delicious, and a plus is that they close late in the night so is lifesaving, we will definitely without a doubt come back soon and try more of the dishes

This is my mother’s favorite Thai restaurant and now I see why. My family and I visited on a Sunday after church around 1:00 pm and were able to walk in and sit without waiting. The restaurant is small so limited seats available. The servers were very pleasant. The restaurant is cute and clean but the smell of fish was kinda high (maybe poor ventilation). We tried various dishes but I would personally recommend one of their signature dish, the salmon steak with fresh mango. 10/10. You don’t even need the rice they give you on the side. This dish was so filling. Everyone at the table loved their food. The price is affordable also (about $35 PP). We noticed all of our drinks had an excessive amount of ice in them so we decided to take the ice out and resized, the drink was now at the halfway mark of the glass. We brought this to our servers attention and she refilled our glasses. The fish, fruits and veggies they use taste so fresh (in a good way) and I can certainly appreciate that. Amazing food and great service !!!!
Udom Thai is another fantastic Thai restaurant in Brooklyn! Me and my friend loved the food so much and it is such a beautiful restaurant!! The flavors are so authentic! The atmosphere is so nice! I loved seeing the elephants 🐘 on the wall. Brooklyn has so many great Thai restaurants including this one. Here is all the food we shared; Chicken Satay Samosa Triangles - veggies, corn, potatoes, onion in curry powder Sunrise - Sake, Lychee, mint Blue Hawaii - sake, pineapple juice, triple sec Papaya Salad - green papayas, carrots and string beans Salmon Steak with Fresh Mango Duck Thai Herbal Mango Sticky Rice My favorites were the Chicken Satay, Duck and Mango Thai
My family and I had a good chance to eat Thai food in Brooklyn at Udom Thai restaurant for the first time We ordered food for our lunch and got surprised how generous they offered on the dish and the food was tasty and flavorful. So we enjoyed eating with good music and attentive service from staffs The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable and welcoming. There is a bar in front of the restaurant but we don't order any alcohol My favorite food here is fried rice with soft-shell crab My family and I were happy and had a wonderful time at the restaurant Thank you
It's clean and most of the food is tasty. The menu is huge and has pictures of all of the meals. One of the dishes could've been better - the fake duck was too crispy and hard and we quickly gave up trying to eat it.
Look guys and gals I gotta give it to ya straight - after 5 million views of my stuff I can't just give any old establishment 5 stars - I just can't. They gotta earn it baby! Udom Thai is a favorite spot of mine because they seem to care about the neighborhood and they care about the food they prepare every night - so you can't miss with this place. Now they have a bar in the front of the restaurant and it gives you Bangkok night life vibes minus the ladies of the night and ladyboys hounding you. The food is always fresh, plentiful and tasty. The drinks are creative and pretty good. I ordered the whole Bass fried light with tamarind sauce and Jasmin Rice with a strawberry lemonade with rhum - it hit the spot and to be honest it was just good food without the jazzy stuff other restaurants give you. My kid was with me and she had the Pad Se Ew with beef (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and Thai iced tea and boy it looked and smelled amazing. Sorry I didn't take any pictures this go round. But if you want really good Thai food without breaking the bank - Udom Thai is a top choice. Parking does suck though but that's not Management's fault - that's the price you pay for being in one of BK's hottest neighborhoods. Take the family, the significant other or the crew if you want a really good food night for a good price.
5 dollar happy hour is unbelievable. The food is pretty good too and the prices are surprisingly very reasonable. The rock and roll duck appetizer is amazing. The place just need a little brightening and a better smell. It can smell smoky at times.
Cute and casual place with outdoor patio seating. Service was great, food was good and an overall good experience.
The food is usually very tasty. But overall, I find the portions small for the prices they charge. I was so disappointed with my last take out order of duck fried rice. The portion was small, the color of rice was darker than usual, it tasted different than the usual, it was bland & there wasn't much duck meat. I'm afraid to even wonder what was going on in the kitchen that led to such an outcome. A total disappointment & a waste of $18.
Upon getting there it started raining it was not the easiest way to start my spring but I decided to lift my energy by coming here with the idea I would get the taste I received a year ago perhaps with the duck it was good ; something was just missing however I tasted the mussels which was delicious. Had I knew I would of got two it was clean ; hot , big , flavorful with the right portion and price so I would recommend both dishes even still . I even tired a sakejito which was not strong but tasted good . Perhaps I would continue to expand my taste buds in that area . It was nice music playing as always and clean as always . Family oriented so it’s a plus .
This Thai restaurant was nice it’s not how ever Authentic Thai. My friend had Tom yum prawn. It was nice however I found it a little too fish saucy, he also had chicken satay sticks super yummy. I had chicken pad see ew it was a little to sugary and the chicken it self was dry and not much pieces was way more noodles then anything els. Still was nice though. Staff where on the ball and friendly :-)
We have been ordering over the phone for the past 3 days. We decided to walk in and order and we were just completely turned off by the service. I don’t like to say the word racism, however, when a different ethnicity of people came in they were greeted with smiles and hello. The lady at the front desk was rude.
Udom just not what it use to be, have been going here for years and have recommended it to so many people, one of my friends came up from DC over the memorial weekend took his family there and he was disappointed, said it just not the “spot” anymore. Food now honestly has no favor, the calamari taste like it was dip in flour and fried and that’s it ( this is my opinion as well ) , no seasoning of the calamari or batter however they did it but the taste is plain like much of the food has gotten, what happened Udom???
The food is great but I would really like for this restaurant to stop leaving garbage in the street. I live nearby and I am constantly having to dodge huge piles of shrimp shells and other stuff that has been dumped on the ground/sidewalk. Prospect Heights already has a huge problem with rats and this contributes to it. If this problem is fixed I will be much more likely to come eat here. Thanks for reading.
1-2 years ago this restaurant was awesome! The last two times I’ve ordered from here the meal has been disgusting. I taste way to much salt. The rice is hard. The serving of sauce is tiny. The service is great but if there has been a change in the cook/chef he’s needs to straighten up. It’s even more annoying because I always tip cash and I just feel like I’m wasting my money and time. Undeserved.
Food is fine, but the lunch special is a total rip off unless you bring cash. A $12 lunch special ($13 with tax, before tip) became $20 (tax + tip) bc I had to buy a side of rice to meet the minimum payment. It says $2 on the menu (was charged $3) and was miniscule and not that good.
Our appetizers came out late with our food. The spicy chicken appetizer was good, however the fried rice tasted burnt and my meal was extremely salty. I dont know what happened when i went but i expected better since I've enjoyed eating at this establishment on a few occasions.
I have been disappointed several times only recently within the past 2 months. I often order the salmon steak and always requested DO NOT OVERCOOK THE SALMON. Well on 2 occasions it was burnt and unable to eat. I informed them and the person apologized but unable to do anything at the time but would inform the manager (Q)
Ordered delivery and got the string bean entree. It was not what I hoped for... appeared to be frozen veggies topped with a gingery curry sauce that I wouldn't swear wasn't from a jar. It didn't taste very good at all. I don't spring for delivery very often but I usually really enjoy pad prik khing and I had a craving. I'll patronize one of the other Thai places in the neighborhood next time.
I've been going here for years, it's one of my go to spots on seamless. Just ordered the Curry meal and was surprised to find the smallest size portion of rice I've ever seen. Called up the restaurant to ask about it and was told that Curry doesn't come with rice, that's a $3 add on. ____________ Hey thanks for responding. I understand that the pandemic has been hard on everyone. $13 for Curry with your new downsized portion of child sized rice is insane. No thanks, I'll take my business else where.
Duck fried rice was good and Thai iced tea too however tom kha was not good (specifically it was watered down, not creamy, and lacking in flavors notes). Better options in the neighborhood in my opinion.
Meh. First time I’ve had bad Thai food tbh. I didn’t know it could exist! Maybe the other plates are amazing but the Ocean Mix Salad is not. I took two bites, paid for it then left and went to another Thai restaurant where I KNOW the food is bangin! Just a note, their heater isn’t super strong so if you go there on a very chilly day, you’ll likely be cold inside the restaurant, which makes the dining experience uncomfortable. The service was great—very attentive and nice. But it didn’t make up for bad food in a chilly restaurant😬
My daughter and I had dinner yesterday Friday, July 16th, 2021 at this restaurant and a lot of our food was disgusting. My daughter’s Thai shrimp fried rice was good and my steamed sea bass with vegetables was some what good. The ribs was very very salt I could not even eat it because I was scared it would send my blood pressure up, the fried chicken tasted as if it was re-fried about 5 times very hard and dry, I had two pieces and the rest was garbage. The waiter brought some stuff shrimp which we did not order to our table , we did enjoyed that but it was not our order so we had to pay for that even though it was their mistake. This experience was not a great one for me so needless to say I will be looking for another Thai restaurant
This place is a very average round the way spot. If you want dried salmon and wings that have been overcooked, this is the place for you. This B-rated restaurant sits in a cozy neighborhood with multiple sit ins in its surrounding. The service gets one star as well, since we had to remind the people that work there to actually serve. No one checked on us to make sure the food was ok (and it wasn’t, I was just too scared to send my salmon back), offered napkins or even shooed our flies away. I love Thai food but this wasn’t it.
I've given this place a number of tries to get it right being that I am in the neighborhood, but I am disappointed every time. One time I ordered some kind of sweet and sour tofu dish and it was absolutely horrible. All I tasted was ketchup. It had a tons of green peppers, hardly no tofu and the tofu it did have was dry. Ordered chicken satay today. Chicken tasted undercooked. I'm praying I don't get sick behind it. It was partially grilled chicken on a sad bed of salad that contained just iceberg lettuce. The green drink with some kind of fruit in it was delicious though, but the dish was overpriced and undercooked. Their thai iced tea taste watery and I swear I'm feeling a little nauseated writing this. I used to order their four-seasons dish, but even that's gone to hell in handbasket--mushy string beans and dry tofu. I called the owner one time to complain they just said sorry with no offer to make it right. I was told the owner would return my call and this person never did. I tried to support a small business but it's clear they're just in it for the money and could care less about customer satisfaction. I'm done with this place.
DON'T EAT HERE ! Let me start by saying that I've given this place multiple tries. I notice this restaurant does not take themselves seriously either as I see that reaponses to any negative reviews look like they're just excuses written by a snarky preteen with bad grammar and no accountability. I ordered a lunch, and my pad thai came with only 3 regular size shrimp in the entire dish. The spring roll and little few extra items with it were burnt (like they refried multiple times ) oily items that u can tell are pre-packaged. That lunch , an appetizer and dessert cost about $50. They also forgot my Thai tea. Only thing ok was the custard dessert. Just ok. Aothwr day $45 for an at home meal for 1 person is ridiculous, but then to get your meal and the noodles feel undercooked AND soggy is wild. The beef was tough, overcooked and dry. Honestly the entire dish, despite the oil seemed like dried out leftovers. Food was just poor quality. There are too many good Thai places to pay for this less than mediocre, overpriced food! I've seen them respond saying the prices are on par with the neighborhood, and even if that were true, those other places have good quality food and don't make excuses! I'm so disappointed
The most disgusting thing I’ve seen in the history of ordering food at a restaurant besides hair in food. My condiments was shoved in my rice, requested a refund off course & threw the food away & I was given tilapia fish instead of salmon as advertised on Uber eats. Been a regular customer for years.. never again. See attached picture
