Came here for the first time in several years. I don’t go to bbq joints as much as I want to for the sole reason of being too expensive. I’m sure the price for this place is reasonable, just overall expensive in general. Anyways, I ordered the “I want it all” dinner pack which consists of 1/2lb beef, 1/2lb sausage, 1/2lb chicken, 1/2lb ribs, and 2 large OR 4 small sides which we chose the mac n cheese, smothered green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes. I also ordered a side of pork belly and banana pudding. Everything was very flavorful especially the brisket, beef rib, and pork belly. The chicken and sausage were ok. I did a takeout order so my pics don’t do this meal justice from that traditional all on one pan bbq presentation look. Overall, it is a delicious and I’m sure reasonably priced joint. We’ll be back whenever we crave for some bbq. Staff were friendly and fast. Lots of parking and tables to dine at.

Went there today only place so far that has pulled pork. Food was good. Variety of sides. Husband said Mac n cheese was dry and sweet potatoes was bland. Meat had good flavor. Bbq sauce needs a little kick to it. The cobbler is okay. For pre-made cobbler. Atmosphere was awesome. The staff was nice and friendly.

Had their BBQ for take out and it was good but certainly not the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Had the ribs, brisket, smoked sausage, green beans, and bbq beans. Honestly, they were all fine. None were bad, none were fantastic. Would eat here again though.

Got the 2 plate meat with Brisket and Pork Ribs. Really well prepared and pretty good no non-sense spicy sauce. The fried okra and ranch potatoes were also good.

Not as good as I hoped, but very tasty nonetheless. This chain gets good reviews as some of the best BBQ in College Station so I probably went in with too high of expectations. I’ve had better at smaller hole-in-wall places around Texas. You order at a counter where they assemble your food and then you seat yourself and get your own drinks. The brisket was solid and the sauces were very good. The sides were generally decent with the exception of the cornbread. Who adds lemon to cornbread? That’s a first for me and it was no bueno. Overall solid choice.

Enjoyed my loaded baked potato with brisket. The customer service is great. I have only used the drive thru, so I can't speak to the ambiance.\n\nI recommend asking for extra BBQ sauce.

I stopped in at C&J Barbecue near the Main Post Office for lunch. The brisket and the pulled-pork were very good. The service was friendly but not outstanding.

Although we love the brisket.. the past few times we’ve gone the food has been SO inconsistent. For the price you pay, you would expect quality food each time, even if it’s just $50. It’s like when you go for dinner, all the sides have been sitting all day.. Corn over salted/buttered, Mac and Cheese is dry, bread is hard. It’s a complete bummer, we used to love this place.

Went to this place I'm Bryan and I want to say a couple of things about it. 1st it's bar b q and the meat was not bad we had ribs and moist brisket both were prepared well but it was average as far as bar b q goes. I didn't find anything better about it than say rudy's. What I can say is that they are lacking in the sides department. We had 4 sides. Green beans, potatos, macaroni salad and green beans. Everything fell short on flavoring except for the green beans. They were ok. We came here at lunch on a weekday and this is definitely a blue collar working mans place. What I will say is for your hard earned money, you can do better. $17.50 for a brisket plate and a drink. My wife got the special that came with the drink for $15. And we wouldn't mind paying that for bar b q, what I am saying is that this price is too expensive for the quality they serve here. At least for my taste.

Great Food, when they are not out of 85% of Whats on the menu we come here regularly for our Wednesday BBQ fix EVERY TIME they are out of Turkey, Brisket, Ribs or baked potatoes At least 2 of the 3 they are out for the night…….. at 5:30-6:00-6:30 I would understand if it were 30min before closing or something but they are still open for hours Have been told that the kitchen manager makes the call on what to put out and how much to have ready for service per day Well, either they need a new kitchen manager or they need to wrap up what was not sold and save it for the next day I have seen people walk out due to this issue Sad because it is an awesome facility

We had to wait in line for 20 minutes. The stuffed jalapenos were not good, tasted like sweet dog food. The rest of the meal was just marginally ok. The meat was dry on the sandwich. I would not go back. There are other places with much better barbecue.

Let me start off by saying c&j’s is a Great place to bring your family and have a Good meal. We had 13 people this time, and we had one order of a hamburger that took a hour to get! We went up to the counter multiple times to find out what happened to the (hamburger) order. The sixth time they told me they lost the order, this came from the manager. The manager was very short with me, so my son came back to reorder his Hamburger. When the order came to the table it was a (cz burger) the manager took the order the first and second time. We gave up and left, Sad!

Brisket was dry and had no flavor and relied on the sauces too much. Potato salad was very heavy on the mayo to me. Mac n cheese had no flavor. The chicken was good, it was the only food that had noticeable seasoning. Food LOOKS good but looks aren't enough. Wouldn't come again.

The brisket at this location is typically inedible. I get extra lean brisket and they just can't seem to get it right. On the other hand, the location on SW Pkwy is always spot on and supper yummy.

Went to C&J, heard about the food. Spent over $50 for dinner for two and only received 4 ribs and about 8 slices of brisket between the two of us. Seems extremely high price for such a very small amount of meat.

a sad attempt at bbq, portions size and experience to match…. to be fair a McRib would be a better alternative with a two meat plate with potato salad and okra, which by the way weighed more than the meat portions

first and last time i’ve been to c&j. seriously the worst bbq i’ve ever had. service was minimal. not rude but certainly not welcoming or helpful. the brisket was more like roast cooked with liquid smoke. dry. no flavor unless you consider liquid smoke flavorful. sausage was fair but dry. the bbq sauce surely isn’t Texas style. they need to throw that out. it’s bad. don’t get the cole slaw. you must add salt and pepper on your own and the large pieces of purple onion with the cabbage. no. the restaurant seating and atmosphere is typical. nothing special but not bad. i can say one good thing: their a/c works really well. overall an expensive lunch ($25) that was really really bad.

I just received my online order from the Bryan location. I ordered the chicken plate with the rib, ranch potatoes, greens, and potato salad. I did not receive the rib or the ranch potatoes. Instead I received macaroni which is dry and tasteless. The barbecue sauce tastes like ketchup. The potato salad tastes like you should have boiled the potatoes longer and the chicken looks under cooked. This was my first time trying this establishment since I’ve been here over the last few years and I am highly disappointed. I work at home, so if I had the time I would take this nasty plate right back up there. I just wasted $30 and I’m not happy about it, hence this review.

To be fair we showed up midday around 3pm. But the food was not good, I had brisket and jalepeno sausage both barely warm and flavor on brisket was "off" the fried okra was old not fresh and not hot. The loaded baked potatoe side was decent. My hubby had the ribs and he said they were bland. He said the ranch potato and potato salad were good. We were just passing through but would never try it again. Maybe they are better in evenings or lunch time. The workers were nice on a good note

I’m from out of town, always get BBQ from CJ’s every time I’m in town, up until now, the food has been excellent, except for this time, the brisket came not sliced but cubed and a few degrees from being beef jerky. This was from the Bryan location, $50.00 spent that will probably get thrown away.

Sadly, after being a loyal supporter for many years, I have to update to a less than perfect review. There has been a noticeable drop in food quality at the new location's drive-through. After the third time of ordering sliced beef sandwiches, and getting home to find nothing but fat, never again. I have included a photo of what I paid for last. Must be a management issue at this location.
