I've known Dale and his crew for many years, and it's so nice to see his restaurant grow in these tough times. He has his mother's recipe for friend chicken, but the mint tea is a must on the menu to try, it's amazing. Also, you get to see some art work by Leroi Johnson, an international recognized artist who is a highly respected lawyer by day.

I visit this place for the first time today & had nothing short of an amazing experience! the service was phenomenal & the food was astonishing. I intend on coming back & telling everyone I know. It was really good. Kind of cafeteria style, you order and pay 1st, and they'll bring out the food. Nice variety. Love the owner & Chef, Dale Holt, so I'm biased. I will be back.

Very nice atmosphere. Visiting from Miami. Had excellent breakfast with a family vibe. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Huge space and clean. You come in and you go to cashier and order your food. They have specials. The price is very affordable. The bacon amazing. Grits hot and tasty. Eggs fluffy and real! We were visited by the owner and chef. For breakfast it’s like short order cooking meets style, taste, and finesse

Tonight I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and collard greens. Unfortunately, I had some work that needed to be done this evening so I had to do take-out. Dinner was very good. It's not often I find a place serving grits north of the Carolinas this good and this was a great dish to get me out of my "what's for dinner tonight" rut. The restaurant is not in a strip mall or a location you would expect to find a place to eat, but trust your GPS, it will get you there. I will definitely return, hopefully next time I can eat in.

Went with a group of friends and overall we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Fried chicken with red beans and rice which came with cornbread. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. I really liked the spice combination on the skin. The beans and rice weren't magical, but where very good. As was the cornbread which had corn kernels in it. Never had it that way and Iike the little surprises when I got a kernel in a bite. This restaurant is located in the Northland Workforce Training Center as their primary eatery and though it's housed there for the students/trainees it's open to the public and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service was prompt and staff were very friendly too!

I stopped in on opening day and ordered a shrimp po boy with fries. Everything was delicious. The food came out fast, and the quality of the service was great. I'll be back for breakfast eventually!

The locals seem to love this place however I am not a local and I did not enjoy the food. Atmosphere was nice. Service was excellent.

The food was much different from my first time, which was excellent. Now, the mac & cheese tasted and looked as if cornbread was mixed in. The haddock fish was chewy. The greens tasted sweet(means sugar):(

Food is great and tasty but the chef or the owner I don't know who he was. He was screaming at one of his employees in front of customer. We witnessed her stepping out of the kitchen and leaving crying. Great food but horrible management.
