Avis sur Mythos Buffalo
One of my favorites spots to go get a traditional Greek restaurant breakfast in Buffalo. So many of the classics spots have closed down and its good to see that one still stands. This is one of those classic steak and egg breakfasts after going out. I love it!
Ordered: NY Strip with eggs and Greek lamb and eggs (can’t remember the actual name but it’s the only lamb chop item for breakfast) Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned, coffee was good. Service was friendly and excellent. They have Parking in the back. Wish I could have taken a picture but It looked and smelled way to good. Haha
We got here around 8 PM with a group of six and the food came out super fast (probably since they close at 9). Everything tasted great and I’d definitely recommend it. Restrooms were okay, and there’s parking right behind the restaurant for $2/hour, which was really convenient.
I've had takeout from Mythos multiple times. I recommend them. Alex is friendly, and her customer service is excellent. I will come back for more takeout. Their food tastes great, and I like their Greek pitas.
Best Greek food I‘ve had in ages. The eggplant panini is especially good. It’s an easy place to bring kids. The server was also very helpful regarding a gluten allergy in our party. There were even more gluten free options than were listed on the menu.
I like good portion sizes, solid Greek food, and friendly service in a casual atmosphere. This place delivered on all of those. We ordered the Chicken and beef souvlaki dinner, and gyros. The chicken was perfectly grilled and juicy and the gyros was tasty. The beef was a tad on the dry side. The potatoes and rice were great. We also had a child's pizza meal, it was just a pita with sauce and cheese slopped on it and heated up. It was quite expensive for what it was, though the kid liked it.
The service was so great. They keep checking on you, and everyone is so friendly. Food came very fast and it was very delicious and the portions are huge. Prices are great. I have left overs for 2 days now. The location is in the nicest place, which is on Elmwood and you can just sit and watch people and cars it's really a nice place so recommend. 👌
Mythos is in a great location. I was able to go here with my family then to the Japanese Cherry Blossom Gardens. I wish I took more pictures of the very pretty atmosphere. I love the interesting seating in the middle, it brings the whole restaurant together. I wish it was busier. The staff was very nice, they seem understaffed though. The food was very good too. On my journey to find the best gyro in Buffalo, this is some of the best gyro I've ever had. Definitely a place to come to again and try out more food, it's a small restaurant that needs more recognition.
I love this restaurant and the staff! The food is DELICIOUS and the portions are satisfying. My favorite items are the Souvlakis, the salads, the greek potatoes, and the HUMMUS. Located in the the Elmwood Village with parking on the street and in the back this is the perfect place for every meal. See you there!
I have been to Mythos many of times. Usually everything is good, sometimes things are great. But overall they are pretty consistent. Their souvlaki breakfast, lunch or dinner is a great option. I like their souvlaki chicken and beef. I do wish there was a pork option. The spanakopita pictured looks a little over toasted however it was actually quite tasty. The beef souvlaki breakfast was great! The chicken souvlaki melt on a pita was very enjoyable! Service is usually quick and friendly. The restaurant has a family vibe. Mythos is a reliable choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Good experience. The service is top notch. Our server checked on us constantly and was very friendly. The calamari appetizer was not good, tasted like they were frozen from the supermarket. The lampchops were okay, but a bit dry and tasteless. The Greek salad and rice pilaf were delicious, by far the best part of the meal. Great tzaziki sauce as well. A little work on the entrees and calamari and this place could be 5 stars.
We’ve gotten takeout from mythos many times over the years. The service tonight was so bad that we won’t be returning. When I went to pick up my food, I received one bag and realized when I got home that I was missing my order. I walked back over and told the hostess I was missing food (she was very kind and doing her best). The manager and chef then came out to berate me and the manager got in my face and said “well I boxed it myself so it had to have gone somewhere.” I told her it didn’t end up with me, and waited for my food to be remade. When I got home, the bag had someone else’s order in it! They clearly need to get their expo skills together instead of taking it out on paying customers. I feel bad for the next person who’s missing their meal because I’m sure they won’t believe them either.
I ordered a steak and shrimp dinner and picked it up on my lunch break , once back at work I discovered a reddish brown 1in hair in my food with the hair follicle attached. I returned the food and was met with the front counter denying the hair came from the restaurant and stated maybe my door dasher did it . Mind you I picked up my own food no DoorDash . I then was given a refund of $10 less than what I paid and was refused a copy of the refund receipt I corrected her and then received the correct amount. there was no remorse , apologies or anything she let me know the location is privately owned and that I would be unable to escalate the matter because she will not release any contact information. Overall terrible experience if you have any shade of color just be careful here . Never know what's mixed in the food .
