Avis sur Otto's Restaurant & Bar Buffalo
The food was great, better than average red sauce, a pretty good burger, the eggplant parm was amazing. We had an older blonde woman service us outside, some of the best service I’ve seen this n Buffalo. She knew her job, the menu, and was prompt. A very lovely woman, delightful to talk to.
Listen — I’ve been to South Bend on game day. I’ve seen Touchdown Jesus, I’ve smelled the tailgate smoke wafting through the air like incense in a cathedral of football, and I’ve screamed myself hoarse as the Irish ran out of the tunnel like warriors of culinary destiny. But nothing — and I mean nothing — prepared me for the holy experience I had at Otto’s. If Notre Dame had an offensive line made of lasagna, stuffed shells, and veal parm, we’d never lose another game again. I ordered the holy trinity of comfort carbs: lasagna, stuffed shells, and veal parm — all for 24 clams. That’s not a meal. That’s a bargain bowl victory. The lasagna was stacked higher than Notre Dame’s preseason expectations. Every layer was a cheesy, saucy miracle, like Rudy finally getting on the field — if Rudy was made of ricotta and dreams. Stuffed shells? Absolute unit. Filled to the brim like a stadium on a Saturday night in South Bend. I bit into one and heard the faint echo of the fight song in my soul. And the veal parm? Oh, baby. Crispy outside, tender inside — like a 5-star recruit raised on Nonna’s gravy. If Manti Te’o had a real girlfriend, this is the dish he’d bring home to impress her. By the end, I was so full I needed a timeout, a two-minute warning, and maybe a defibrillator. Final score: Otto’s 42, My Waistline 0. Would I come back? Like Lou Holtz to a motivational speech — absolutely. Otto’s is the real deal. No gimmicks, no NIL deals, just top-tier Italian food that'll have you doing touchdown dances in the parking lot.
Great great and great again. Nice place but filled with great hospitality. My server was very very nice and the steak sub that I got was SOOOOO good so flavorful. It was on toasted bread. It was good to the last bite. I was really surprised at how good the food was. I would definitely go back here again and try something different the way the first impression was.
I legitimately cannot get enough of this place! This is true Italian food masterly made by a man who authentically came from Italy and his daughter who’s first generation here! Their homemade bread is incredible, I’ve had two meals here so far and both have been nothing short of incredible! If your craving authentic Italian with a great atmosphere don’t even consider anywhere but Otto’s!
Otto’s Restaurant is such a cute and welcoming spot. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality you get. Our server, Christina, was amazing — super attentive, incredibly nice, and she truly made us feel like part of the restaurant. Her energy and care made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend Otto’s Restaurant, and if you can, definitely ask for Christina as your server. She made our visit unforgettable.
The wife and I went to the jeff Dunham show and after we wanted dinner so we drove around a little bit and found this place. So went in and got sat down after a little wait. I ordered the lasagna and the wife got the chicken parmesan. The wait for the meals were minimal and we're huge. I highly recommend this place. The food is awsome and so is the service
We eat at Otto's quite often, both dining-in and take-out. The food quality is great and portions are huge. I got the chicken parm with penne pasta and each came on its own very full plate. The meal was delicious and there was more than enough to split with someone or have a second meal as leftovers. My husband got the pasta combo plate which includes chicken parm, lasagna and stuff shells. Again huge portions and reasonably priced. (Their pasta sauce is on the sweeter side which I personally like because its easier on my stomach.) Everything we have ever tried at Ottos has been delicious
Friendly service and great italian food. I had the eggplant rollers- they were terrific. Second meal was chicken Marsala, very good. Wings are best in the area.
Stopped late for fish fry and was blown away! I picked Ottos because it was close to airport. Fish was light flake and super Crispy. Ottos will be first choice for fish from now on. Server was super nice and did a great job. Loved the old school look of the dinning area. Super comfortable atmosphere. They have patio for outside dining. No chance you will be disappointed if looking for classic buffalo fish fry. Wish I could give them more stars.
Very good Buffalo style food, pizza, cwings, chicken fingers and full bar. Lottery and sit down dining room and patio. Plenty of parking and take out too
Food was good not great. Walked in 30 minutes before close. They did service but they had already had all the tables shut down in the actual had to turn the lights back on for us. Waitress was amazing. The cannolis were not completely filled. Both myself and my wife found the spaghetti sauce too sweet.
Awesome Italian food!! So very authentic and flavorful! The bread was soft and warm, Chicken parmigiana, ziti and lasagna!!! Huge portions too! 4 stars because they ran out of Italian bread, salad was mainly iceberg, although homemade bread crumbs were great! Oh, and played rock music. We would have liked some more traditional music to fit the traditional theme we were looking for. They did have a nice lil sports bar as well. There was a party area upstairs too! Would go back for sure!
Visit for the first time to have lunch with my son. The service was great and food was yummy and large portions. Atmosphere was def an Italian vibe, seemed like most people there were locals. Only things I took one star away for was dusty blinds and the bathrooms were clean but a little outdated imo. I would still go again and def appreciated the great service!
Otto's is a nice family style restaurant. They have a nice patio for outdoor seating and 2 rooms for indoor seating. I had stuffed shells. The food was good. The waitress was friendly, even though we arrived 45 minutes before they closed. This would be a good place to stop if traveling on I-90 as it's close and easy to get back to the thruway.
Spaghetti sauce very good but needs work on Clams Casino ". Had little problem finding waitress for extra napkins then later for another drink.
We tried this place for our first time on a Sunday night. Server was kind of rude and didn’t come around much. We ordered a large cheese pizza, fried and the baked ravioli. The ravioli was the worst I’ve ever had. They taste so bland. The pizza is kind of ok, but it’s sold as NY style and it definitely is not. The fries were good. Never coming back.
We are foodies and my husband is Italian so we were very excited to come here! Unfortunately we wernt a fan of the food. My husbands mushroom chicken dish was canned mushrooms and was fairly bland. I ordered chicken parm and it felt like a lot of the food was either frozen or canned? The portions are huge which is nice but we would have rather had a smaller portion and it be fresh food. The red sauce tasted very sweet so if you like that then this might be the place for you. We were seated very quickly and our waitress was incredibly nice and frequently stopped to check in on us. If the food was better we would be back but unfortunately we couldnt even finish the food. We didn't say anything because we felt like if theyre using canned mushrooms in a mushroom dish where its supposed to be the star then our comments probably wouldn't mean anything anyways.
Came in for lunch with my husband and two year old. We ordered chicken fingers, fish fry, and lasagna. The waitress brought out a massive heap of fries, 2 fried chicken filets, sliced bread, and a massive plate full of melted cheese and meat sauce. I basically paid $50 for fries that we brought home because the waitress was more mesmerized by our presence than actually listening to the order we were placing🫠 wow. Good fish though, if you can manage to get them to cook it 🫣
