Best Mexican Spot in Burbank. The service is friendly and the prices are great for the amount of food you receive. I've tried most of the menu and can honestly say all of it is Really Good.

Mom and pop restaurants are still #1 in my book. Great food big servings can't ask for more. If your in the area stop u won't regret it.

I am a fan of supporting small mom and pop restaurants and this is just a little gem of a place. They have some amazing burritos; simple but absolutely delicious! Usually no lines and they are very quick to complete your order. They do have a small outdoor patio on the side which can be a bit noisy with traffic at times.

Good place and food and kind staff

This place is great, especially for the price. The food has a lot of flavor, it was served to us fresh from the walk-up and we ate on the patio. We had tacos and the nachos, both with steak. The nachos were huge and came topped with some guac. The tacos we're authentic and served with red salsa which was good, but I asked for some of their green salsa on the side and that really elevated the flavor. We both went home full for under $13.

Stopped here on a whim and was blown away by what they did with a simple chicken chimichanga. Honestly one of the best I've ever had. Salsa was nice and fresh and the red sauce had a good bit of flavor to go with its spice. Would love to go here soon in the near future.

This place is awesome! Great food for a great price. The workers are super friendly and willing to adjust food orders if needed. I always ask for extra chips and salsa since it's that food. Would definitely recommend!

The service is great and the food is well priced. I brought the family and paid less than $35. We got a California Burrito, order of the quesadilla plate and 3 orders of the 4 mini tacos and a drink. While we waited for our food they gave us two orders of chips and salsa. My California burrito had excellent flavoe and they gave us plenty of limes and salsa for our tacos and burritos. I will be back here again it's definitely a great value and amazing tasting food!

This is a wonderful place for Mexican food. It is very authentic and the prices are very reasonable. Most of the time when I come here for lunch I either get the enchiladas with the rice and beans or I get the Taquitos with rice and beans. It ends up being about the $9 at the most for a full meal plus a soda. I usually call in my order 1st that way I can just come and pick it up and not have to wait. They have a bathroom inside for customers to use. They also have outside seating that faces the main street. It gets really busy here around lunch time.

I just got some menudo and 2 carne asada tacos Sunday morning on Memorial Weekend had to work and I was hungry 🤤 the best menudo I have had in years the tacos were perfect. I recommend this restaurant to any Mexican food lover! One of the best you won’t be disappointed. 👍🏼

I grew up eating at El Tap. It’s nostalgic and tastes like home. Are there better taco shops/stands? Sure. But if you grew up in Glendale, few places fill that cheesy taco hole that only El Tap can.

R

If you enjoy a true family style Mexican restaurant feel than this is the place. 1. the "CALDO" beef stew is just like grandma made 2. the pinto beans are perfect 3. the Green salsa also perfect 4. The prices are so inexpensive 5. Burbank's best kept secret for Mexican food

Great hidden in the wall authentic Mexican restaurant. Has a walk up window to eat outside or also has a very small sit down sitting area inside. All food that I've tried here has been excellent with full of flavor and they don't skimp on the portion size.

G

I don't understand how this mom & pop restaurant has a somewhat low rating. It's the only place in the area (quite a large area at that too) that makes authentic, filling, satisfying mexican food. And it's much better priced than worse, franchise mexican restaurants.

M

I love this place! It's relaxing and family run. All the dishes I've tried are tasty and seem pretty health! I've probably eaten here nearly 100 times.

Very good food; simple and pleasant inside seating area; reasonable prices. You can also call in an order and in about 10 minutes it's ready to pick up.

I like this mom and pop establishment. Their food is very good and homemade though parking is difficult. It's nice to see this business thrive.

One of my favorite Mexican food spots in Burbank. Family run and people are always super nice. Love their chimichangas, tortas, and burritos. My current favorites have been either the carnitas or shrimp burrito.

D

You’re never going to find a better burrito on the block. Stop fooling yourself. Although the “green chili” was just tomatillo salsa, I still say five stars. Because it was so so so good.

P

Love this place! I like the pork but it can be kind of salty. The beef is less salty. The gorditas (the 2 circles) are delicious and the chimichangas (cut into 3) are also pretty good, and both are less than $8 but more than enough food.

D

Listen the food was so good I ate it before taking any photos. That's rare for me. Small place with no alcohol or anything modern. So what! The food is cheap and wonderful. I had the best fish tacos here. No tiny pieces of fish either and cooked to perfection. My friends loved their food and had 0 complaints.

I've been spoiled with American "Mexican" restaurants that give oversized portions. So when I got street sized portions I was surprised, but not disappointed, as the flavor makes up for the size.

Good service in a small hole in the wall place with good food. The chicken soup and chili relleno were good. Definitely worth revisiting.

Food is good. They take their time serving orders, specially during busy times. Service is not bad, but not friendly. No other Mexican food places in the area, so this is it.

B

The food is really good. Service is a bit slow. California burrito has way to much going on, meat, beans, rice, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, cheese, French fries, guacamole.

Had a “Fried Mojarra” A decent size fish with rice and beans and salad as sides. I enjoyed it because I really love fish. It was fried right there for me. Flavor wise not much to say, may be a good idea to serve some tartar or garlic sauce just to give a little bit of flavor to it. Try to find parking nearby or if you’re lucky you may find some spots in the back. There’s only 3 tables so it’s more for takeout. No restrooms.

B

I have ordered here more than once because the food is delicious! Sometimes they don’t greet you right away when you’re at the window, I would have to wait while until they see me.

Nice walk up stand. I had a breakfast burrito. Eggs, cheese, bacon and potatoes. It was good. The salsa served on the side was tasty, but spicy. My tongue is still simmering. Overall it was a good experience.

Stopped in for lunch during the week, parking is a challenge so suggest going early before peak times of the day. Food is alright and very reasonably priced. The place has been around a while and it hasn't changed much.

I have been meaning to check out this place for a year now but something always keeps coming up. Finally I was able to get some grub from this joint. This place is interestingly located at the corner of Alameda and San Fernando. You can sometimes miss if but it’s right across T Traders Joe. They have a decent menu and specials and the price Is reasonable. The god party is that they accept credit cards. I ordered a fish burrito and the 4 taco plate. The food for hot and quick. They also have a small seating area where you pick up your food. I am from Chicago and I have been looking for a good Mexican joint for sometimes now but alas I have not found one. The food was ok. My taco Al pastor was not tasty at all. Also the fish burrito was sub par. Maybe I was expecting a lot but the food is very plain and lacked flavor. The meat was tough and lacked any flavor. The Horchata was decent but they could do better. I may try out another dish in the future but my search continues.

Food is good and prices are very reasonable. The only thing I dislike was the food came cold. I highly recommend to tell your server to make sure it's hot.

Food is overpriced like almost anywhere, especially for being fast food and nowhere to sit. Food is like any taco truck.

Flat soda, spicy salsa with no taste. The meat is decent. Small space for dine-in service. On a corner of a busy intersection. There is more chairs without tables than parking here. Two spots for parking in rear. There is a service window on the side walk. It's pricey for the portion size. They accept credit cards. No decore , just fences ,brick walls.

J
Julianne Carroll

To be honest, I wanted this place to be good so badly, but it just missed the mark. Way too expensive for tiny portions (the salsa sizes are way way too small and it costs extra for more), the chips were kinda stale—I got beef enchiladas and they weren’t bad, but they were so much smaller than I expected for the price—and the portions of rice and beans are laughable if I’m being honest.

B
Brandon Garabedian

You get the impression that they regret starting this business and resent their customers as they ignore you for up to 5 minutes at the order window so they can finish washing dishes or prepping vegetables. Be prepared to stand there for a long time without help.

Not very good everything was small portions and not worth the money. Bought an enchilada plate not even close to the best that I have ever had. Bought beef taquitos very small and the beef was burnt like they left them in the oil too long. Will not be going back

D
Dee

Their food is mediocre. I don't understand why this place gets the rating it gets. The food is whatever, parking is the worst thing. I recommend going to another Mexican restaurant. It's not worth the money.

Firstly this restaurant is a 0 rating dirty kitchen and restaurant this place should close down awful customer service the owners cannot speak English at all . This place will loose bussiness soon. If you read this post Do not go there bad customer service very poor they will have u wait 1 hour for just 1 quick order!

L
Lola's World

Very nice owners and customer service, but the food was not very good. The carne asada was tough and was not very flavorful. Maybe i should have ordered something else, but that’s pretty basic.
