Cute coffee shop, right along the burlingame bayfront and across from the Meta VR offices! It's a great location. They have a nice coffee selection and their avocado toast was super-delish too. Love the seating, with plenty of chargepoints available if you wanna sit and work while enjoying great views. 100% recommend!

Great experience! It has a modern/cozy vibe with moderate space for work and study. And of course, the cappuccino and almond croissant were fantastic 😋

One of my new favorite spots in the SF Bay Area! Located across the Meta Store in Burlingame. I got the seasonal Lavender Vanilla Latte with soy and it was perfect. Not too sweet at all (I typically order drinks with 1/2 the flavor or sugar). The baristas were lovely and welcoming.

A
ABHIJIT RASAL

One of the best cafes in the neighborhood here. We normally go here on weekends and enjoy the scenic walk with nice habibi coffee which is popular at this place. The blueberry waffle and sandwich is must try. Worth the drive place. People working here are also very energetic and nice.

When United missed our connection to Japan and we were left in a hotel for an overnight stay waiting for the following day, the one pleasant surprise we had was discovering a place selling specialty coffee within walking distance of our hotel. The staff were friendly and the pourovers were both great. They even had vegan snack options (a muffin and a granola bar) which up until were surprisingly difficult to find.

One of the Best Coffee Brands in the world. The quality of the beans, the highly trained staff and eclectic items in the retail shop compliment the brand. I'm happy I came!

A

Friendly staff and incredibly good coffee. The barista remembered me after only one visit, and they were super fast at making orders even with a big crowd in line.

Really good coffee, and a great place to get some work done. Wish there was a more comprehensive food menu, but it’s all about the coffee and you can taste it!

S
Saurabh Gupta

Visited this coffee shop with friends and loved their varieties of coffee. It’s a good place to sit and talk with a good flight views considering it’s closer to SF Airport.

T

Good coffee! Been here a handful of times, got their latte, cold brew and cortado. All were well made, baristas are friendly, and I'm going to keep coming in whenever I'm in the area!

S
Scott MacKay

Really outstanding espresso. The whole beans are also very high quality. Their cappuccino is one of the best I've ever had. Strong coffee flavor well balanced by the sweetness of the milk.

J

Silly mask policy (not allowed to order without one) and when asked if they have extra masks to wear in order to conform to their mask policy they have run out of masks…The whole state of California and the USA has lifted their mask policy, get with the times or provide masks for your customers if you require them to wear masks to do anything in your store. I managed to get a mask from next door and ordered from the friendly staff member. There is a smallish space to sit and work, with a lot of plugs and good wifi which is a plus. The coffee was also good. Remember to bring a mask or don’t come here.

J
Janke Jordaan

Great coffee spot especially if you wanna go for a walk afterwards. Their coffee is nice and strong and they make their vanilla in house. I got the ice vanilla latte and it was amazing.

R

Pretty good for South American bean. Reasonable price and unique location. Service was good store is quaint but every time I go it's full of people enjoying the sun in the windows. Also a cool stickers.

Just wow! Food: amazing. Coffee: amazing (I am a coffee roaster, I know good coffee). Service: kind, thoughtful, great vibe. I'm guessing the one star review is from their competition. Jealousy is ugly.

A

Haven't had the coffee here, but my partner loved it and the best part was the location. The atmosphere, the views, and the frenetic energy of tech workers around you makes this place truly a Bay Area must see area.

S
Shruthi Sheshadri

Nice cafe by the bay. I tried their "Habibi latte". As the name suggests- delicious! Also got their croissant. It was very flaky and yummy. Great customer service as well.

D

Lots of outdoor seating in the area. Tried the iced mocha. Chocolate flavor was rich and not too sweet. The milk probably enhanced that flavor. It was definitely a treat for me.

C

Coffee is great, only pity that the store closed at 4 pm which is too early

Great place for coffee and reasonably priced! The staff is so kind! 5-2024 Love the cherry blossom 🌸 matcha oat milk latte!

I always love Equator Coffees's drink and cafe! Today also falling happy from them! Breakfast breadbthings are attractive along with seasonal drink menus. Latte is good!

M

Cute cafe catering to a commercial/tech area. Their staff has always been friendly with me, and their habibi is worth a try if you drink coffee. I enjoy their avocado toast whenever I stop by, but their blueberry waffle is nice too. I've never had an issue finding a seat though they do tend to be popular on weekdays. It's a nice little happy spot to try.

Living on the East Coast I don’t get a chance to have a lot of wonderfully roasted coffee with really smooth texture taste and hints. This place definitely delivers. 10 out of 10 on the flavor of the coffee.

Small coffee shop feel ; warm and cozy with natural light, modern decor with a touch of urban feel. Equator Coffees is approximately five minutes away from broadway Burlingame , past the beautiful lagoon , next to the Mega Store. Coffee was memorable, very dark in flavor and lovely nutty aroma with a a hint of mocha . Not that busy ; indoor, outdoor seatings and WiFi available. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff....

We walked here from our hotel and we’re so glad we did! The coffee is amazing - high quality, made with care, unique - and the food is phenomenal. We ordered the frittata breakfast sandwich and added prosciutto. You HAVE to try it - adding the prosciutto is worth it I’m telling you!! It’s even better than it looks in the picture. We wish we had Equator Coffee back home!

My husband and I stumbled upon this hidden gem. The baristas are talented and so friendly. Our weekly Saturday morning spot to sip coffee on the water and watch the planes fly over.

The best spot to get coffee, walk, ride bicycle by the water or read a book/work. The coffee is superb. Pastries are always fresh. The place gets busy over the weekend — if you want the biggest pastry selection, come by earlier in the morning :) Dog friendly 🐶🐾

What a lovely place to be, especially on a chilly day. I enjoyed sitting by the window. The space feels warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. As for the coffee, it’s fantastic. Their whole beans are of exceptional quality, and the cappuccino is one of a smooth balanced cup I ever had. The house brew is also very nice.

The environment is clean and modern but person behind the counter was warm and welcoming. They asked my name and remembered it when wishing me a good day on my way out. Started my day off right🙂The coffee was superb

Great place to have a coffee, read a book and enjoy the sunshine! WiFi doesn’t really work for the outdoors seating though…

A very nice and clean coffee shop in a beautiful area. The whole area is quietness. The place is very close to a trail, beach, and walk-side sea. I got a cortado, which was definitely good. I could taste a strong and balanced coffee. Also, I got a gluten free waffle (Honey Butter), which was light and delicious. This place gets an easy 5 stars. The place seems to be popular, where there is usually a 15-minute wait time.

Meta store and Equator Coffees are next to the beautiful recreational area with several public parking spots! Check them all out when you’re in the area! Here you can buy all you need for a brake: coffee and some food items!

One of the best cold brew with caramel cream I have had in Bay Area. Small corner with max 10 seating, most of orders are taken out or delivered by third party apps. I did not expect anything, even though the smell from food and bakery were irresistible, turned out, my cold brew became the most favorite drink here. Coffee was smooth and a hint of chocolate at the end, the cream was not sweet at all. Everything was just right. Next to Meta and Meta Store; worth the visit if you are on Bay Trail.

Definitely one of those spots that makes you want to come back again and again.

Here occasionally for weekend walks along bay trail. Definitely favor the Saturday crew over Sunday just because of a recent experience. Someone tell the pretentious guy behind the bar with wavy hair who told me that a flat white is the same thing as a cappuccino (with a side of attitude) AFTER mixing up ANOTHER one of the drinks in my order that it's NOT. I had to look it up because he acted like I was insolent. It would be different if he said they rung them up as the same thing, but he didn't. Anyway, we'll likely be back because the coffee is good but I hope this time without the rudeness.

The spiced pear drink wasn't what we thought it'd be. We didn't get the pear flavors; the cinnamon and star anise was overpowering. The consistency of the shakerato was different, but the overall drink wasn't bad. We'd still come back and try their more traditional coffee drinks. The location is great too! Seems to be well situated in Meta's campus by the Bay Trail.

The veggie frittata sandwich on gluten free waffle bread was excellent. Small and a little pricey at $14. Lattes are $7. Habibi one was great. In a business park but nice. No parking. Clean. Long wait to order at 8 am, 15 minutes then wait for food. tho it didn’t seem that crowded. Staff seemed busy and focused on tasks, not especially friendly. Flat affect from all of them. Not sure why. But still tasted good!

Popular spot. Coffee specialists. Café food; I found the almond croissant somewhat dry and tasteless (short on almond filling, it seems?). The coffee made up for that. Service a bit brisk. Outdoor seating is on the road side.

Edit: Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. --- Definitely got food poisoning from here :( Husband and I fast, we eat once a day. We only ate here and both got sick a few hours later. Oatmilk vanilla latte, plain latte, and turkey panini sandwich. All tasted good at the time.

About the Coffee Place: This coffee place is conveniently located close to the airport, making it a potential stop for travelers. Situated in a commercial area, it offers easy access and convenience. Surprisingly, it was empty during a long weekend, which could indicate a lack of popularity. About the Coffee Experience: I tried their coffee offerings, and they were decent overall. The iced latte and the coffee with rose syrup were both okay, falling into the realm of mediocrity. While not overly impressive, they managed to hit the mark of acceptability. The coffee place provides accessible parking options with a lot next to the shop and street parking available. Although not particularly remarkable, the coffee experience was satisfactory. For this reason, a three-star rating seems fitting.

It's nice to have a cafe here in the middle of FB office land, I'm glad it exists. The specialty coffees aren't bad - the lavender latte was ok and the Habibi latte is decent. The frittata and avocado sandwich was good enough. None of the food and drinks blow your socks off. Nice atmosphere though! If you're out and about walking along the Bay here, it's a nice spot to rest and have a coffee. There is cafe retail parking only parking spots too.

Updated review 4/6/2025: Downgraded to two stars from five stars due to exorbitant wait time for food. 30+ minutes wait for a waffle breakfast sandwich w/prosciutto $14.50 is ridiculous. This is because the staff don't check if the correct customers are picking up. Someone else picked up my food even though I stopped him and asked the front girl to check if that was mine. She assured it was his. Sure enough, when mine came out, it was the previous person's. The staff didn't apologize and gave me a blank stare. They had to remake it. When it did finally come out, I was no longer in a good mood. Food don't taste good when people are in a bad mood. Today's front crew were incompetent. Original review: Equator is an excellent coffee shop. We had the cappuccino (2 shots of espresso) $4.25 & almond croissant $6. Both were very good. I like sitting outside to breathe in that fresh air. They have a bike rack on the side. The only drawback is the wait times. It took 15 minutes for the drink to come out. They were nice enough to heat up the croissant, but by the time the drink came out, the croissant turned cold already.

Left my charger block there 3 weeks ago. I called and spoke with Julian who promised to ship the block back the following week. I followed up a few times asking when it will be shipped before they stopped answering my calls. Would’ve been cool if he just lied and said they didn’t have it or couldn’t ship it back instead of an empty promise :/ vibes and coffee of the shop were pretty good tho.
