Great service. Good food. The meal plan makes it affordable; otherwise it can add up. Tasty steak. Excellent desserts. The smoothies are made of real fruit (unlike throughout the rest of the resort). Try the peach basil smoothie, omelette (insist on the creole salad or they won’t bring it), and barbacoa tacos.

Beautiful presentation, wonderful farm to table freshness, delicious flavors, amazing view, and excellent service by Alex, Kareli, and Alfredo at Anica restaurant for breakfast. Definitely try the “Fresh from the Farm” items on the menu, the green juice, and the flavored butters.

Always amazing food, the chef is a master and service top notch! Special thanks to Antonio tonight, and the rest of the crew outstanding service! I enjoyed the watermelon on the salad too adds sweetness to balance the dish. The Cornish Hen sauce was perfect paring. We requested abanero salsa for extra kick. Wow, spicy but we could not stop adding more of it, it blended nicely with the dishes.

Service here is excellent. Breakfasts are great. Dinner, no, unless you get soup and/or salad. The rest of the dinner meals are way overpriced and just plain weird.

1.) We ordered their nicest steak and were told it was Filet Mignon - it was a beef chuck roast. Stretchy fat and couldn’t cut through. Two people got it and both couldn’t eat it. Mash potatoes were bad too. 2.) Service was extremely slow and disrespectful when we shared feedback. The restaurant manager said that no one in his time there had given a bad review. You can see multiple terrible reviews online, so once again dishonest and misrepresenting the restaurant. 3.) They allowed a group of guests in with no shirts on and just oddly tight sports coats. Basically the place allowed trashy, raunchy people in to eat there. However, not surprised considering the lack of elegance and class at the restaurant. 4.) The service, food and management matched that level of professionalism and class.

Muy mal servicio a la entrada de Gran Sol Mar. Llame antes de ir, pregunte si ocupaba reserva y me dijeron que no, al llegar me hacen muchas preguntas, al final por ser local y no estar en ninguna villa ni hospedado en ningún hotel NO me dieron acceso.. muy mal servicio 😡

Food was ok, very TexMex/American which we were trying to avoid, for the price it’s not gourmet. Food could be much better. Service was terrible, our server was slow and ignored us because we were young and Mexican so instantly he treated us differently than the white American table next to us who he was so pleasant and gave extra care to compared to us. It was evident he didn’t care for us and we tried to be nice to him in different ways but he just passed us by.
