This establishment is highly recommended for dining. The service was delightful, and we anticipate returning.
Delicious drinks and excellent service. Our bartender, Margarita, was amazing. She was a powerhouse - getting so much done (drinks, covering the to go orders, serving the tables in the bar area) efficiently and without fuss. Would 100% come here again and recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.
Carna asada enchilada plate was stuffed full of meat. And the gringo burger was the best I've had in a long time. Will stop in again while in town. So yummy !
Okay let's do this. A little town in a little place called Cambria california. This is our second time visiting this place right on the ocean beautiful town. The food is absolutely incredible. My burrito was one of the best burritos i've had in a very long time. Very fresh brisket cut of beef. Not fatty and full of flavor. I will definitely give this place a 9.9 out of 10. The only reason why it's not a 10 out of 10 is because i've never given a place a 10 out of 10. If you come into town, you're looking for a quick delicious meal. This is definitely the place to go. I'm a big eater, and this is all I could finish.
This was an unexpected stop for dinner and we are so glad it was. We really enjoyed all of the food served here. The highlight was definitely the salsa served with the corn chips and the rice and beans but the rest of the main meals were also delicious. Service was attentive and efficient. Everything tasted fresh. The only thing we probably wouldn’t order again was the dessert.
There are so many places to eat in Cambria that I was finding the choice a bit overwhelming, but a big guy who was quite obviously local persuaded me to eat here and I'm so glad he did. The service was so good, friendly and enthusiastic. The lively but not overpowering atmosphere was perfect, a happy mixture of people eating and some locals watching sport on the big tv at the bar. And the food...granted im not a big expert on Mexican food but everything seemed super-fresh, tasted absolutely fantastic and the portions were huge. Can't speak highly enough of the whole dining experience here, when i left i was grinning from ear to ear and you just can't top that feeling!
Great Mexican food, great service! Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! Everyone raved about their meals. Some favorites: quesobirria tacos, pollo con crema, deep fried avacados, mole enchiladas, chicken enchilada, and don't forget the salsa and margaritas! The only thing that topped the food was the service. Tandra was amazing! Thanks, Tanner! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping in.
Our review is just from our short experience at the bar. We popped in for a quick sip while exploring the shops of Cambria. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked in by a friendly host, but we asked to sit at the bar. Amber, the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. She made excellent Cadillac margs and the chips were yummy and hot the spot for a little crunch during our break. Thanks for a nice spot to rest our legs! Looking forward to returning for food in the near
We decided to come here for wine and a snack and had a great experience. Our server, Tandra was very friendly, and we had a nice conversation with her. The atmosphere was very laid-back and it was nice to be able to just relax and rest and get a generous pour of wine as well as lots of chips and a good serving of guacamole.
9/23 We dined here while staying at Cambria Shores Inn. It's become one of our favorite restaurants. They are dog friendly. Patio seating in the back is great for pets. Our server was as friendly and attentive like our last time. She came by several times to see how we were doing. We felt comfortable and took our time. The lunch was excellent. The portions were generous. We took the extra back to the inn. Prices have not increased surprisingly. ---------------------------- This restaurant had great reviews so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. There is free parallel parking on the street. They are very dog friendly. They seated us and our doggies on the patio and filled our doggy water bowl. It is very pleasant on the wooden patio deck with a small creek. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Miguel the host and bartender was wonderful. He made you feel at home and comfortable. Daniel our server was great. They always came by to see if we needed anything. We ordered the chicken enchilada and the taco salad las carnitas. The portions were very generous. We took some of it home. Food was excellent and very delicious. Really home made. The price was moderate. We will definitely return to try other dishes on our return trip.
Excellent food. Good margaritas. Everything we’ve ever had here has been super delicious. Yummy tostadas and tacos! We are repeat customers from the Central Valley. Came in one time to have an excellent Bloody Mary at their well equipped full bar. Highly recommend! Tonight they have live music! Can’t wait to come back! 🎸
Had a great experience at Las Cambritas. We weren’t very hungry but we wanted some good cocktails. We opted to sit outside on the patio and it was lovely. I love Mezcal so I ordered a Haze Martini. Very good. My sister ordered a margarita. Also delicious! We opted to share the Mexican Chop Salad with chicken. Just what I was looking for.
Like all restaurants in Cambria, Las Cambritas has a charming and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. He let us choose our seat and attended to our every request! Food prep was a little long, but not the worst. The restaurant interior is simple - nothing too decorative - yet clean and cozy with a beautiful patio. There's also a lot of natural light, which adds to the sunny vibe. Our food was good! Portion sizes could've been bigger since everything was so tasty, but for the price it was acceptable. What's most important is that the food was very FRESH! My mom and I got the chicken tostada, but we each thought it was small, so we also added a chicken taco to our order. Everything was flavorful, crunchy, and zesty. It's very cold in Cambria today, so a warmer dish might have been a good idea. My mom got a mango margarita, but thought it was a little weak ... probably because she got it blended vs. on the rocks.
Food is good in this place. Service was pretty quick. Food is priced well. I liked the veggie options like Tostadas and Enchiladas. They have nice drinks menu as well. My favorite is Modelo Especial. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend for outdoor. Food I ordered was slightly on salty note so I gave them four stars
I had a great time at this Mexican restaurant with my wife. The food was decent, and the portions were generous. We ordered tacos, and enchiladas, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The best part was the service. We were greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly and attentive. She made us feel like family and gave us some recommendations on what to try. The place is nice and cozy, with colorful decorations and a lively atmosphere. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food.
Really good food, but the place is more than a bit dirty. And the outdoor seating has heaters, but there was no propane to operate them. The Chile relleno was excellent. Clean it up and fill the propane tanks and it's 4, maybe 5 stars
Place is quite pleasant. We came on a Sat at 6pm and our server took our food order at 7pm. Probably the longest I ever waited for a meal. About 90 min from sitting to actually getting our food. Tacos were pretty dry, make sure to drink plenty. This was a no bueno for us unfortunately.
We walked in, wasn't packed or that busy today Valentines Day. We got there stood at the front just my husband & I waited no one else in line for 12-15 min no one approaches us at all. I know they seen us go in. Then a crowd walks in behind us. The Mexican guy comes up looks at them behind us and says who was here first 🙄 um we were. We are mexican by the way. They seat us, guy brings salsa & chips. Our first time coming. Our waiter comes. My husband asks her out of two entrees which one would she suggest? With attitude she says I dont do suggestions- everyone is different, I've been here 23 years and everyone likes this food. I was thinking oh my goodness couldn't she just say one is good just try it, dam. So we waited AWHILE for our food, she didnt ask if we wanted a refill, or chips or the salsa as much as she walked near us.. didnt look at us.. but she comes around the corner and drops the whole plate that belonged to my husband. Brought mine. Then asked if we want more salsa. No chips or refill. We couldnt eat at that point. My husband's appetite was gone. Then she forgot his tortillas. We ask a different waiter, they told our waiter and looked over at us like we were lieing. Or we ate them. We got up and paid. Her attitude changed towards my husband at checkout. A little nicer. Food was ok, I mean different not as authentic but we are in Cambria. Felt judged the moment we walked in. And the experience was all bad. Worst then I expected. Will never come here again. I wouldn't even give a star here. But everyone is different others get treated better some dont.
…really disappointing experience at this Mexican place. The food was shockingly bad, especially considering how expensive it was. Nothing had any flavor at all, every dish we tried tasted bland and poorly made. Honestly, the water ended up being the most flavorful thing on the table. On top of that, the service was extremely unpleasant. Our waitress was dismissive the entire time, which made the experience even worse. It’s always the white ladies that are the rudest. The food was so unappetizing that I didn’t even want to take the leftovers home, even though I had paid a lot for it and had 70% left over. That almost never happens for me but I ate 30% because I was starving. What bothered me most, though, was how I was treated regarding my service dog which I needed to have on my lap for a reason. Though people are quick to discriminate, which is unacceptable and made the whole situation even more uncomfortable. Overall, overpriced, flavorless food and poor service. I definitely won’t be coming back.
I decided to stop by after hearing about the reopening of Big Sur and was looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, the visit did not meet expectations. The customer service could have been more attentive, as there were limited check-ins regarding refills or additional needs. The food was also disappointing, particularly given the prices. For the cost, I expected higher quality and better flavor. Overall, the experience did not justify the expense, and I would likely not return.
