Posto incantevole. Mangiato all’aperto. Il glicine rende piacevole mangiare fuori. Risotto porcini e casoncelli squisiti. Polenta e brasato proprio niente male. Personale cortese e attento.
Cibo semplice genuino casereccio e squisito. Come i gestori e l'ambiente.
Let me start by saying we didn't have lunch or dinner. During our stroll through the medieval village, we came across this open trattoria and stopped for a warm drink. We can certainly tell you about the warm welcome, the pleasant conversation, and the helpful and attentive owners. After a fragrant tea, between one story and another, we continued with an aperitivo. If you're in the area, you know where to go to be sure of a warm welcome.
Coming from Australia, I had a wonderful experience here. The family atmosphere is truly amazing. Warm, welcoming, I immediately felt like at home. The food is authentic, incredibly tasty, and well prepared. Despite having a food allergy, they took great care of me, making sure everything was safe without compromising on flavour. Exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and a place I can’t wait to return to. Thank you guys ❤️
The food here is really exceptional for the price. The pasta and risotto were both delicious. Come to see the town but stay for lunch or dinner (bookings recommended).
A fantastic restaurant run by a great family. True Italian home cooked food. It’s located in a medieval village which must be visited. Combine the visit with a splendid meal and you won’t go far wrong. Reasonably priced with some good quality house wine. It’s my go to place when in Italy. It’s about 40 minutes drive from Bergamo
A classic, family-run, "easy" atmosphere. Very clean and tidy. The menu is limited, but very well-curated. The cured meats are excellent, but the venison stew is truly excellent, cooked so well that the meat is truly tender and flavorful. The wine cellar is well-stocked with truly unique labels, as are the various flavored grappas. And then there are the aromatic herb infusions, various types of honey, and fruit compotes and jams. In short, a must-visit if you're visiting this medieval place. Reservations are recommended.
It's located in Cornello dei Tasso, a small medieval village not far from Bergamo. The village boasts a simple atmosphere, the Tasso Museum, and the focal point is this traditional family-run trattoria. The atmosphere is rustic, the staff friendly, and the food is traditionally prepared. The casoncelli and risotto are delicious; the braised beef and polenta taragna are also highly recommended. Everything is delicious, highly recommended!
A family-run gem in a beautiful medieval village of 14 inhabitants, accessible by a well-marked and visible road (5 minutes on foot). We ate typical Bergamo dishes, cooked with care and just as they used to be. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and friendly. We spent €30 per person and ate a lot and really well. These are the places that deserve to thrive!!! Highly recommended, both for the food, the price, and the very welcoming and modest location.
Excellant❤️❤️❤️
Lovely home cooked food. Owners are charming. While English is not spoken, they will show you the food they can make. Sweet and humble. Highly recommend for a terrific meal!
Good food, good service.
Buon appetito.
Piccola trattoria nel piccolissimo borgo. Conduzione famigliare e clima simpatico. Ci siamo fermati a mangiare coi piccoli.
A trattoria "like they used to be." A quaint and welcoming atmosphere, with good food, although unfortunately there's no real menu: the dishes are listed verbally when you order and I believe they change daily, so the selection was rather limited, with few options. The polenta taragna was exceptional and not to be missed. Prices weren't mentioned when the dishes were listed, and honestly, when I got the bill, I found them a bit above the local average. In any case, an excellent choice if you're visiting this beautiful village. The red wine by the glass was very good and reasonably priced. It's great that they also accept AMEX. A wonderful experience.
A pleasant trattoria. It offers traditional Bergamo dishes, well-prepared. The owners are very friendly; it feels like being at a friend's house. It's located in the upper part of the village, just below the church square, and has an indoor dining area and several outdoor tables. It can be reached on foot (Cornello is not accessible by car). The nearest parking lot is about 400 meters away, where the narrow, winding road from Camerata Cornello ends (follow the signs for the Postal Museum).
We came late (around 9pm) and where the only customers. The owner peppered fresh food for us. We tried local dishes, the polenta with cheese was too heavy for me, the veal was great. Cheap home wine. Overall nice experience. Down side is that English is not spoken
Historic village reachable only on foot with a short walk. Here you will find this excellent restaurant with a short menu that will make you happy for the quality, including wine, for the service …
The directions on Maps were not very adequate. You have to take Via Mercatorum and go up a steep, very suggestive paved road for 5 minutes. Once you arrive in the village of Cornello dei Tasso, the restaurant is immediately on the right, almost in front of the church. Stunning on the outside, inside it reveals a trattoria with slightly dated but not unpleasant furnishings. Small and welcoming room, bright and clean. The manager, very attentive, lists the dishes of the day, even if we would have liked a little more calm and a list. Very quick to bring casoncelli, homemade and with a simple and pleasant flavor, mushroom risotto a little bland. I would not recommend it.. The polenta taragna should be reviewed, in my opinion. I really liked the roe deer, tasty but not cloying. Desserts also simple and homemade. The bill is a little salty for us. But it's fine anyway. To try in summer. The village is certainly beautiful, preserved and characteristic. In front of the Brembo, with water of a blue that would make the Caribbean envious. It is worth a few steps on the state road to follow its course.
As I've read in other reviews, I can confirm the owner's utter rudeness, especially if you have dogs. When we asked to have lunch, we were rudely told that our dog (of modest size) was not allowed in, and that's fine. We then asked if we could eat outside and were again rudely told that there was no outside service. We then realized we weren't welcome, and were happy to have spent our money elsewhere. Unfortunately, owning a restaurant isn't just about knowing how to cook and being in a nice location.
Very unpleasant people.
The staff were very rude, the food wasn't great and they wouldn't let us pay on separate cards like every other restaurant in the developed world
