I can't say enough good things about this place I've been telling everyone. It's my new #1 Filipino food spot!! Our server/cook was so sweet and kind, the food was fresh and made to order, and there are a ton of little extra touches that really set this place above the rest- banana leaves with our food, classic Sungka (mancala), and the cute restaurant environment! We will be back! I mean come ON look at that plate!
Brought my partner here who is Filipino & missing home cooking since moving far from family. The happiness this place brought him was awesome to see 😊. Everything was fresh, perfectly fried crispy without being greasy, & so flavorful. Really filling portion sizes. The juices are super yummy too! Large menu with so many options. Staff were friendly & the atmosphere was cozy & inviting. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!!
Wow! This place really looks nice inside. I saw their restaurant name sign outside and seems like they haven’t changed it since they opened, which is a bout a decade ago. Anyways, you can see that there are plenty of decorations inside and it’s mostly about sports. It also gives you a good vibe of living in the Philippines since the environment of that place tends to be like. Let’s talk about the food. I am quite impressed that they serve us food in more cultural plates with a leaf sticking at the top. The food is also delicious and authentic. Really great choice of seasonings especially on the garlic rice and pork sisig! No wonder this place is so popular especially on Yelp. It’s also great that they leave utensils out there unlike most restaurants where you have to ask them for extra. Honestly wish that they have more individual plates options in the menu, but that’s fine. I came here for breakfast and popularity of it anyways!
Grabbed lunch here and it was a great experience. I'm sure it's because they didn't have as many guests as usual, but they managed to serve up our food in less than 20 mins for 10 people. I thought it was pricey at first until they gave us these massive portions for the meals. Highly reccomend. They have great filipino food and cater to vegetarians.
Comfort food Filipino style.....Wow! Stopped in for our first visit. Ed, the owner greeted us personally like he does with all customers. Offered us menu suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. Our meal came very fast. Food was fresh, very quick, tasty and there was so much food, the portions were huge. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly so much so that there's a great family vibe here. Highly recommend.
Tapsilog bistro is a lowkey filipino restaurant with a bar kinda vibe. They have a few interesting fusion dishes that have a great taste to it. Service is fantastic, if you don’t know what to order the people there are more than happy to help you and very kind and easy to talk to Hospitality is at its finest for sure here. The lumpia was piping hot and fantastic. Their 2 meat silog was also great. Overall food was great and had big portion sizes We also got free ice cream! Note there is a 3% credit card usage fee so pay with cash if u prefer Overall parking is easy
Was looking for a place to ind some nostalgic flavor of Kare-Kare specifically, and they didn't disappoint! Paring it with Garlic Fried Rice, Bagoong (shrimp paste), and Calamansi Juice hit me right in the childhood! It's also an awesome spot to have them take care of your Filipino catering fix and frozen goods! A must try! Will definitely be back! Awesome service as well!
Such good food and experience. Good parking, easy to spot in the square. 1 restroom that is unisex. Fast service, large menu with diverse meats (and not). Hope to return to try more dishes.
The food here speaks for itself. Delicious, seasoned beautifully, and the garlic rice is a must-try. I ordered the Tapsilog and was blown away by the depth of flavor. Having tried a lot of Filipino food in the area, this place really stands out!
My first time exploring Filipino restaurant, and I really enjoyed the food. Loved lumpia, pork and beef and the fresh watermelon juice in great blend. The manager, Sara, was very courteous and very patient and the business is lucky to have great employees there.
I had the Kare Kare with fried pork. You can see it in the photo. It was tasty and unique and awesome. A little too fattening with the peanut sauce plus the all the fried pork. The fried pork is something I havent had much. Tough on the outside and soft on the inside. You can see it in the photo. I would definitely recommend it because it’s so unique. Overall just a really well done meal. Delicious and unique. Carla, Chad’s girlfriend, is from the Phillipines and likes the bangsilog. She said I need to try the tapsilog because that’s what the restaurant is named for. The Tapsilog was good overall. Cutting into the egg and eating the yolk that poured over the rice was delicious. The rice is garlic rice but tastes similar to regular rice. My favorite part was the beef, which had a unique taste. The best way to describe the meat is it had a taste and texture like beef jerky, but more juicy than beef jerky. We had the Lumpia Shangai appetizer and they tasted like you expect: egg rolls with meat inside and sweet sauce on the side. My friend liked them but tbh I thought they were too unhealthy… I mean just fried bread and meat. Not my thing. However I ate a lot of them so that also tells you something 😆 Also my friend and me added a lot of vinegar on the tapsilog. He really loved it but I found the vinegar made the meal too salty (it’s not just vinegar it also has garlic and other things, probably salt, in it). This is just a side note for me personally… most people may like the vinegar on the tapsilog, especially on their meat, and it’s worth trying once. I had the sauteed veggies with mussels. Personally I didn’t like it. I was looking for something low salt and healthy, but it felt like it has a ton of salt on it, and it only tasted okay. It’s a weaker item on their menu in my opinion.
Great family style restaurant. Food is super hearty and authentic! Definitely recommend the lechon burrito with fries. Don't leave out the lumpia either!
I love Tapsilog. Come here all the time for lunch. My favorite is the Longsilog, which is sweet sausage with garlic rice and a fried egg on top. But you can get the egg scrambled too, I think. And of course Shanghai lumpia on the side which is chicken in a pastry type roll and deep fried, kind of like a small egg roll. Indoor and outdoor seating. They sell drinks. Pretty fast and friendly service. Seriously Yum! I finally comfort zone and had something other than longineesa and Shanghai lumpia. The BAGNET BAGOONG is sick good. If you like pork belly. Someday I want a kamayan feast from here.

“The food was absolutely delicious, and the Bicol Express was a standout—it’s the only one I’ve had that truly feels legit! We had bagnet bagoong and Bicol Express for lunch, and both dishes were fantastic. The service was just as impressive—they welcomed us warmly and provided excellent service throughout. Highly recommended!”
Recommend. The dishes we tried were good, garlic rice was a little underwhelming. They had a lot of options so I’ll be coming back to try more.
We took parents for their anniversary lunch. Food service was not as efficient. We got our entree without the rice so for a few minutes it just sat on the table. The dinuguan had too much vinegar and not enough else flavor. The loco moco beef was overcooked, the only thing that saved it was the gravy to not be so dry. The spinach laing was too watery, I was expecting more coconut flavor.
I've been here several times since it was close to my work. I've brought coworkers here who haven't had Filipino food, which they did enjoy. You can't go wrong with lumpia Shanghai! Food is pretty good overall. But sometimes, when you have a certain expectation on how a certain dish tastes, it's not the same. Everyone makes their dishes differently. It's not a criticism, just my opinion. :-)

My girlfriend and I love trying new food, but weren't blown away by Tapsilog Bistro. The lumpias and pancit were pretty bland, and the sauce options (vinegar, soy sauce, Sriracha) were not exciting. The prices were very steep. We did, however, enjoy playing the mancala game while we waited.
Food was so so. Not particularly flavorful and interesting. While it's expected to have fat in the pork belly, the ratio of fat to meat could be improved. I may have ordered the wrong dishes and I wasn't satisfied with the food. Big portions tho. Nice decorations and parking wasn't to difficult to find.

The pancit guisado was a disappointment. Oh please we know how pancit should taste! It was no flavor and noodles were cut too small. I also ordered dinuguan and what a double disappointment! The pork meat was tough for dinuguan. I was expecting great cooking!

Went here during Christmas, food was really good. Not sure if we had undercooked or dukot rice today, but the garlic fried rice was not edible and no flavor at all. The fried egg was undercooked too..we had to order steamed rice to get thru our meals. Christmas chef was way better. Won't be coming back anymore.
