It's located in front of the Ricetto di Candelo. Very friendly staff. Service is prompt, precise, and provides detailed explanations for each course. Excellent food, with a wide variety of choices, for both traditionalists and those who prefer something more daring. The atmosphere is quiet and well-maintained. An excellent experience, definitely worth repeating.

Couple's Lunch Tasting menu - traditional appetizers - first courses: agnolotti and chestnut risotto - suckling pig with potatoes - ricotta panna cotta and tart - all excellent quality and beautifully prepared - all accompanied by a good glass of wine. Friendly service, clean and welcoming restaurant. Recommended!

We discovered this wonderful trattoria during the Christmas holidays. The food is delicious and top-quality, all locally sourced. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly, and carefully explained all her dishes to us. Even though we arrived late, just as they were closing, she welcomed us and served us with great hospitality.

A truly charming and rustic place, with visible brick arches, the food is truly excellent. Prices are reasonable. There were two of us: two covers, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, two first courses, two second courses, two side dishes, and two desserts, and we spent €58. We will DEFINITELY return. 12/31/2021 I returned to this magnificent trattoria to spend New Year's Eve. Always a fantastic place, with good food and very friendly staff. They are very respectful of anti-COVID regulations and respect social distancing. Recommended for these reasons too.

bella location sotto alle mura del ricetto. Locale accogliente e particolare. Servizio all'ingresso e tavoli ottimo, il cliente è sempre nell'attenzione del cameriere. La scelta del menù non è lunghissima, ma particolare e può essere alla carta o optare per un menù fisso dove assaggiare un po di tutto. La carta dei vini merita veramente, si trova di tutto ed è divisa per regioni e qualità del vino. Il pranzo di buona qualità, niente da dire. Unica cosa, anche se particolare, si potrebbe aggiungere qualche prodotto in più negli antipasti. Dolci artigianali. Per contro si potrebbero rivedere i prezzi del caffè (1,50€ in un'osteria non lo trovo in linea) e anche quelli di alcuni vini. In particolare consiglierei, visto il tipo di locale, atmosfera... di stappare le bottiglie al tavolo davanti ai clienti. Non bisogna essere dei sommelier per questa piccola cosa ma molto gradita.

Good value for a trattoria. We had pasta with sausage ragù and Fassona Swiss veal with potatoes. The meat was very good and well-cooked, along with the potatoes. The service was friendly and attentive. The cheese to add to the pasta was served in small jars with lids. Fresh bread.

Taverna d'Oria is located in the heart of the medieval walls of Ricetto di Candelo. The staff's warm welcome is immediately striking, as is their attentiveness to customer needs. Service is prompt despite it being a holiday. The dishes are almost entirely traditional Piedmontese, and guests can order à la carte or choose from the tasting menu. The prices are in line with the offerings.

We went for dinner this summer and were warmly welcomed; the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We sat on the small terrace with views of the medieval tower, stunning! (Lots of mosquitoes due to the heat, but they'll gladly provide you with things to help keep them away.) The food is very homemade; we only ordered second courses; the potato and octopus salad was delicious. My husband ordered meat with friggitelli peppers; it was good, though perhaps a little simple. The trattoria's appetizer had interesting options, like peppers with loose anchovies and very good zucchini. A nice dinner, perhaps a little on the high side, but you're right in front of Ricetto, so you're also paying for the location. When the kitchen closes, you can witness the arrival of the neighborhood's "stray" cats, who also come for dinner (they're actually cared for and pampered by the village, a public asset). I would definitely say the staff at the trattoria were the best part, they make you feel welcome.

I had lunch at this trattoria near the Ricetto di Candelo, choosing the €35 tasting menu, which includes: an appetizer, two first courses (tastings), a second course with side dish, and two desserts. Drinks and coffee are not included. Notes on the setting: The menu card is a bit worn and faded, with some writing difficult to read. The table, with a simple paper board, is rather spartan: personally, I would have appreciated a little more attention to detail, especially considering the setting and the price. Food: - Appetizer: Good, plentiful, and served pre-prepared. - First courses: Arrived on a tray, and each diner serves themselves. - Risotto: Good, but a bit heavy due to the heavy presence of toma cheese. - Ravioli: Just adequate; the dough is hard and the vegetable filling is unconvincing. I expected more from a set menu. - Second course: Overall, OK. - Side dish (potatoes): Not convincing. - Desserts: Average, nothing particularly outstanding. Service and Management: The menu clearly states that no changes are made, that the tasting menu must be chosen by everyone at the table, and that separate bills are not given. These choices are understandable from an organizational standpoint, but they were communicated in a somewhat unfriendly manner. Final bill: about €40 per person with drinks. In my opinion, the tasting menu is a bit pricey for what's on offer, and a more appropriate range of €28–30 would be appropriate.

A truly evocative location, nestled in the medieval Ricetto. The restaurant has several rooms, but I recommend making a reservation. There's a decent selection of dishes, from appetizers to desserts (the latter vary seasonally). Personally, I enjoyed the main courses more than the first courses. Good wine selection. Helpful staff, and moderately high prices.
