I spent two nights there with my partner Nicola, and we would have stayed longer because the family-run hotel made us feel at home. They were always ready and willing to solve any problem. Ignazio and Mariagrazia are very professional yet very down-to-earth. The products they use are authentic, and their cuisine is top-notch, as is the location, strategically located for visiting the various nearby beaches. We were captivated and will definitely return. Kudos to all the staff, who are very professional and always smiling.

Everything was delicious, from breakfast to dinner. The rooms are excellent, and the location near Capo Vaticano is perfect! It definitely deserves 5/4 stars!

We didn’t stay here but cycled by and had a lovely lunch. Lovely pasta, in particular the swordfish and aubergine pasta. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Worth the trip for a great meal and if we were to come back is somewhere would stay given how lovely the people were.

We stayed at the hotel which is very nice, the hotel manager at the reception was very nice and attentive. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. They have wood fired pizza! It was the best pizza we had in Italy, by far. The owner was very nice and attentive as well as the waiter. 100% don't miss this pizza.

Hiding Gem in capo vaticano! We stayed at the hotel, and we dined at the restaurant, the food was exceed our expectation!!! The quality of the food was exceptional, everything was fresh and the taste were amazing . We ate here 3 times in a row that is how much we were content with the food. Definitely we will be coming back if we are in the area again! Thanks to Ignazio and his team for the services!

A boutique hotel/restaurant about 15 mins drive from the center of Tropea but very close to a beach at Capo Vaticano, with a shuttle bus taking you there twice a day. Rooms were as described and very clean, no frills but provided everything we needed on our 7 night stay. We ate at the restaurant four nights and enjoyed the local Calabrian cooking and wines a lot As other reviewers note, the owner Ignazio and the staff are very welcoming. All were helpful, especially Pepe the pizza chef with whom we made a deal and he drove us where we need to go for several days which was very helpful The train station is 5 mins away and great for exploring other towns BUT the last train is around 9:00pm so not good for later nights. When you arrive by train in the dark you have to walk through a pitch black cornfield for a couple of mins, but that just made our experience more fun The local beach is fine. No longer free as a 15 euro daily charge has been introduced but they didn't charge us in the end. What really makes the place though is the owner, his family and staff who make you so welcome, like staying with family. The owner's dad is the sweetest man and his daughter, Elizabeta, was fun - especially getting us to try all the Italian liquors. The 'shuttle' from the airport cost 100euro so if you can find a way to get to Capo Vaticano by train it's much cheaper We will remember the warm welcome and friends we made much.

Una cena tra amici molto tranquilla in un' ambiente informale. La zona ristoro era molto semplice nella veranda dell'albergo e l'ho trovata molto tranquilla. Buon cibo, un ottimo servizio e molta simpatia da parte del gestore che ci ha trattato molto bene e ci ha fatto sentire a nostro agio fin da subito. I would describe this place as a decent place to stay, simple clean rooms, warm place with a friendly staff and last but not least the food is amazing, haven't had a bad or even mediocre meal in 6 days. The included breakfast is average, but the food in the menu is something to remember. I had my best pizza here, ever. It's a must try, even if you're not staying here.

Cena in questo locale durante la vacanza. Location casereccia. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto con prodotti tipici e abbiamo assaggiato di meglio. 2 primi piatti con nduja e cipolla di tropea,estremamente piccanti, il che ha fatto dimenticare cosa avessimo ordinato. Rapporto qualità-prezzo discutibile. Proprietario gentile e premuroso.

Service was fine, and the food was delicious. However, there's no house wine, like everywhere else. The bill lists amounts, but no indication of what they refer to. All the amounts simply say "ristorante." We did the math and realized we'd been overcharged.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile, Buonissima posizione. Però camere purtroppo molto sporche. Abbiamo avvisato appena arrivati che c’erano dei peli e capelli ovviamente non nostri, hanno detto che avrebbero pulito ma al nostro ritorno c’erano ancora. Doccia intasata probabilmente per i sassolini che la gente si porta dalla spiaggia però bisogna risolverle queste situazioni.

When we received our food, we noticed that the pasta was unfortunately still raw. It certainly wasn't al dente. Furthermore, the bill was only briefly shown to us and then taken away again, so we couldn't see why the meal was more expensive than expected. At home, we checked the prices again and found it was about €40 more expensive!

Una stella perché al nostro arrivo, il 25 maggio 2025, nonostante le informazioni su Google dichiarassero l'apertura del locale per cena, il posto era inequivocabilmente chiuso, con le sedie visibili sopra i tavoli e i cancelli sbarrati...la recensione è stata fatta per sensibilizzare l'importanza dell'aggiornamento delle informazioni su Google da parte dei gestori...

La nostra esperienza secondo il nostro parere purtroppo non è stata positiva. Abbiamo prenotato per 4 persone e ci è stato riservato un tavolino piccolo, dove abbiamo faticato a starci tra piatti e bibite. Abbiamo mangiato pepata di cozze (a nostro avviso non fresche), una tagliata coi funghi (insipida), e due primi piatti (passabili) il pane era secco, duro e gommoso. Il servizio ha lasciato desiderare, ci hanno messo 45 minuti per servirci e quando sono arrivati i piatti non ci stavamo, abbiamo richiesto salviette per pulirci le mani ed erano secche anche se i pacchetti erano intatti. Rapporto qualità prezzo non coerente, 2 birre, 2 acque, 1 coca, un caffè un sambuca e un piatto a testa per un totale di 90 euro. Siamo molto dispiaciuti per le aspettative che avevamo viste le recensioni positive.

We only went to the restaurant. The octopus appetizer was very good, the main courses were average. Pay close attention to the bill! They added a good 15 euros, and although the manager apologized, I don't think it was a mistake. It's a shame, because the place would be nice.

We went there just for dinner. We ordered one appetizer and two main dishes. We specifically asked to make it a small portion. To our surprise we got a huge appetizer which also showed on the bill for €30. We were not happy about this. In total we paid €80 for the appetizer and pasta. In our opinion, way overpriced.
