We stopped here on a Saturday morning for a quick getaway from Milan, about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. The final stretch of the road to the restaurant is a bit steep, but you arrive in a peaceful corner with a beautiful view of the lake and a large meadow nearby. The restaurant is welcoming and has a homey atmosphere. The four of us shared appetizers and then each had a main course. Both the first courses (canederli and pizzoccheri) and the second courses (braised beef with polenta and sausage) were excellent. For dessert, there were delicious homemade cakes. The bill was €25 per person. From the restaurant, we took a short walk through the woods that led to a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the lake.

Great atmosphere (fireplace with real fire) and cool and unique interior. Service fast and friendly. Food INSANELY good, portions very generous and prices totally okay (We were in two and had a 3 course menu with wine, coffee etc. and paid less then 60 Euros). Highly recommend!

The restaurant is very nice. A breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore. Good home cooking and fair prices. The homemade cakes are excellent. Anna, the owner, was pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommended!

Magico. Tutto bello. Come sempre. Oggj pranzo veloce. Tagliere di formaggi speciali, vino super , torta eccezionale. Accoglienza deliziosa, vista incantevole.

Ottimo locale sia per i piatti vegetariani che per l'accoglienza.Dalla terrazza si ammira un panorama incantevole. Esperienza positiva!

Un ristorante con vista lago maggiore e menù di montagna. Ci sono una terrazza con prato e ombrelloni, un ampia sala interna (con caminetto) e una loggia vista lago. Oltre al menù da pranzo e cena c'è n'è anche uno di panini e saltimbocca (pane con pasta di pizza) più abbordabile. Birra poretti, vino sfuso per un servizio molto cordiale e veloce. Perfetto per una fuga dalla calura. A fianco una cappella medicale e a poche decine di metri un'area picnic e un grande prato dove fare giocare i bambini.

Bel punto di ristoro immerso in una valle dispersa nel nulla e circondata dalla natura 🤩 Bello da raggiungere in moto 🏍️ Buoni i prodotti proposti per uno spuntino a pranzo prima di rimettersi in sella nella più completa pace. Dopo distante c’é anche un “balcone” sul lago Maggiore che offre un magnifico panorama. Consigliato!!! ✌🏻

Ristoro con vista panoramica, ottima accoglienza , servizio puntuale. Cucina casalinga di buona fattura e prezzi assolutamente ragionevoli. Da provare.

Alla fine della strada, un ristoro giovane e attento. Tavolini esterni piacevoli col sole ed una sala interna scaldata e confortevole, ricca di particolari d'arredamento. I piatti tipici da montagna, con dei dolci importanti. Meta di ciclisti per via della salita che si percorre per arrivarci. Si gode di un panorama bellissimo sul lago maggiore, dotato di un terrazzo per la bella stagione. Partenza di un percorso di tracking sui monti.

Frequentiamo questo posto da oltre 15 anni, ma negli ultimi anni (tolta la gestione precedente del mitico Sergio) avevamo trovato una scarsa qualità generale, sia del cibo che dell'offerta. Ci siamo ripresentati in questo incantato luogo a 2 anni di distanza dalla nostra ultima cena, a causa del trasferimento in un paesino un po' più lontano, dopo una bella passeggiata ci siamo seduti a tavola e abbiamo scoperto, con somma gioia, che la nuova gestione viaggia in linea con la precedente. L'offerta è rustica, come l'ambiente, ma ben cucinata. Le pietanze, anche le più "corpose" non sono risultate pesanti nelle ore successive. La gestione è sempre presente in loco 6gg su 7,che poi è l'unico modo e far sopravvivere delle belle realtà come questa. Andate senza indugi.

A quiet place where you can enjoy delicious food surrounded by greenery and tranquility. There's also a lake view point just a 10-minute walk away. Recommended!

The location is surrounded by greenery, quiet and peaceful. We ordered the goat cheese platter and a game cured meat platter, both very good. Good quality white wine by the glass. The thyme liqueur is also very good, highly recommended. The staff is courteous and polite. We'll be back to try the pizzoccheri.

I just returned from a pleasant hike to San Michele, where I walked the loop and reached the viewpoint. At the start of the trail, I discovered a charming, strategically located restaurant. We opted for a beer and a platter, but the dishes served at the nearby tables made us want to try more. I highly recommend this place for a day trip, but be sure to reserve, as seating, both inside and outside, is limited.

We went after a day trip on a weekday in October. The location is lovely, right in front of the little church of San Michele. The owner is very kind, and the food is authentic. There's both a menu and quick bites like sandwiches, platters, or "saltimbocca" (pizza dough sandwiches). From the internal terrace, you can see a glimpse of the lake, and the decor harks back to ancient mountain crafts. I loved the idea of ​​the book exchange in the bathroom; there's always room for culture. Highly recommended!
